Well, well, well, will you look at that? It’s Pride again.
You know the drill by now. It’s June 1, and suddenly everything from banks to big box stores has slapped a rainbow on their logo. Rainbow capitalism knows how to target LGBTQIA+ customers. For exactly 30 days of the year. How quaint.
Of course, it’s nice to make things bright, and colorful, and pretty. But it’s meaningless if that’s all it is.
Pride should be about uplifting and celebrating you, the community. And it should be year-round, not just 8.22% of the year. So, we’re signal-boosting your posts that celebrate, support, and honor all genders and sexualities over here. Follow to keep your dashboard lovely and gay as hell all year round.
And, yes, we’re also making a bit of a fuss right here on @celebrate (apparently, we just can’t help ourselves). So if you’re interested in talking about what Pride means to you or want to celebrate Pride but don’t know how to go about it this year, we made a fun little 30-day Share Your Pride Challenge list. Because you do, in fact, deserve to be celebrated.

Tag your posts with #ShareYourPride if you want to make them a little easier for other people to find. And Tumblr? Happy Pride. We’re glad you’re here.

the gay agenda is WORKING!!!!!!!!
❤️ 💛 💙 💜 💚
Well, there’s no way around it: This has got to be one of the queerest places on the internet.
How queer, you ask? Apparently, folks on Tumblr are 193% more likely to identify as part of the LGBTQIA+ community than on any other social media platform. That’s you! Well, it’s most of you. It’s a helluva lot of you.
Let’s talk about you—the LGBTQIA+ community on Tumblr. You, who uplift each other, back each other up, uphold each other’s truths. You make Tumblr the supportive space it is.
So hey, whether you’re out and proud or just starting to figure things out, queer Tumblr has got your back—and it touches every fandom and ship and interest you can imagine...we have (finally canonical) declarations of love! Ratty allies! Gay ACNH villagers! Pronoun-positive worms on strings! And frogs! So many frogs. No matter what, you’ll find support and acceptance and, if you need it, a little bit of guidance.
This is who you are. Not just in June, but every day of every year. We wouldn’t have it any other way.
🦄,
Tumblr

Powerpuff Bluff
Storyboard: Cindy Banks Art Direction: Craig Kellman Directed by: Genndy Tartakovsky, Craig McCracken
The people of Townsville can’t tell the difference between the Powerpuff Girls and three grown men dressed like them. Hope you like that joke, because that’s pretty much the whole thing. Never really liked this episode, and I still don’t. (2/5)
Line I definitely did not get as a kid:
Narrator: Impostor Powerpuffs? What a drag!

I know a lot of people know Cloris Leachman from a variety of shows and movies, but I was first introduced to her when I was a kid back in the 90′s and watched this little known 1987 movie of Hansel and Gretel.
Produced by Golan-Globus Productions, based on the opera by Engelbert Humperdinck which in turn was based on the story by the Brothers Grimm, it was released with a string of other fairy tale movies. And they all came out in the same year.
Cloris Leachman played Griselda the witch and her performance was truly masterful. I instantly became a huge fan. And the more I watched of Cloris the more I adored her and I’m so thankful to have had such an epically talented character actress to inspire me all my life.
Rest in peace, Cloris. Lots of people may remember you as Frau Blücher, but I’ll always remember you as Griselda 💜
