The Quarentine Bus - Welcome
Welcome to the Quarentine Bus! After thinking for so long, I’ve always wanted to start a podcast/blog of some kind but I’m pretty insecure with it so I’ve decided “Why not try by starting up on tumblr?” So here we are!
The reason why it’s called The Quarentine Bus because well in Ireland we’re back in lockdown for another month and with all that’s happening with government and how the people are taking it, I feel that some people might need a place to escape. And this might be the same situation in other countries so all are welcome, even if what’s happening isn’t effecting you, you are welcome too!
I want this to be a safe space for people so no negativity. Open for lgbtq+ people, BLM people, and more. There are no specifics of what this blog is about and sometimes I tend to ramable about random things so try to enjoy….
ALSO DON’T BE AFRAID TO REACH OUT TO ME ABOUT ANYTHING WHETHER IT’S PERSONALLY TROUBLES, A TOPIC YOU WISH TO LOOKED UPON, ETC.
So without further or do…

Teach boys about periods
My mother also talked about periods to my brothers.
When I first got mine I had terrible cramps. Crippling cramps. I once was camping with my family and a few of my big brother’s friends when my period came. My cramps were so bad that my mom gave me a full pain killer ( I was 13 and before that she only gave me pills cut in half).
I literally laid down on my parents’ air mattress and cried in pain for an hour before the pill kicked in.
My brothers friend came in to the big tent and I was just curled up and sobbing. Now, I was quite the tomboy and was known to rough house with my brothers and their friends and made sure I wasnt seen as just “a little girl.” So my brother’s friend was confused to see me openly weeping in the fetal position (seriously, these were the worst cramps I have had in my life. My vision went white). He asked what was wrong with me.
My big brother stood up immediately and suggested a nice long hike. During this hike I am sure he had a pretty awkward conversation with his friend explaining menstrual cramps, because when they got back the pain pill had (mostly) kicked in and I was sitting up at a table when my brother’s friend sheepishly asked me if I was feeling better. I said I was better, and he said good.
When we made s'mores that night my brother and his friend kept me well supplied with chocolate.
Making sure sons know as much about periods and menstruation as daughters makes them better brothers, better sons better fathers, and better men. A man that understands a period will not lightly accuse a woman of “being on her period” if the woman is in an argument.
Raise better sons Teach them about normal bodily functions.

All Transphobic Arguments…
Are basically brought down to “I actually don’t know any science or have a valid enough argument, but trans people make me feel uncomfortable because I won’t take the time to actually learn about this and it challenges my long-held views of the world. Because I’m uncomfortable with this, no one’s allowed to mention it and should be expected to move around my discomfort.”

Me: *actually writes good content of my own and follows generally good blogs about writing and fashion and art*
Yeah okay, go back to your Pornhub or whatever I got a deadline to get this book that you'll probably be reading in a couple of years finished, thank you.

P.O.V. Saturday
You are a top A student and are constantly getting bullied by a boy in school. Of course this nightmare deepens as your AP History teacher asigns you to tutor this boy who holds no passion for school whatsoever. As the weeks go by, you slowly start to see his passion for school grow as his grades get better. His attitude towards you becomes nicer and he even begins to stop the whole bullying facade.
As the story goes, feelings develop and the two of you become closer. School doesn’t seem as bad anymore, in fact, it’s now something to look forward to. But like all good stories, there’s of course, an obstical to block a happy ending.
Turns out the boy has a girlfriend, who just so happens to hates you. Seeing you as a threat, she changes him. His grades begin to drop again and so does his feelings for you. His whole persona changes and whenever he’s close you can smell a faint his of smoke and weed.
You decide to confront him, which does not go well. Leaving you with a red mark from where he slapped you, all you could do was cry. When he tries to apologise you run off and from then on you don’t talk to each other. He’s nothing but a shadow from the past.
Weeks later somethings start to catch your eye. He’s stopped hanging out with his druggy friends and broke up with his girlfriend. He comes to school in cleaner clothes and smells fresh. In the classes you share, the teachers are calling out on his good grades. Whenever you catch his eye, he doesn’t give a scowl or an eye-roll, he gives genuine smile.
But he can’t find himself any courage to talk to you again. Not after the way he treated you. The least he thought he deserved was to be aquainted with you again, but one lunch time you decide to sit next to him. The two of you don’t talk, only sit in a comfortable, long missed, silence.
All it takes for him is to say sorry and the two of you begin studying again together, putting what happened in the past in the past. And the rest of the school year helps your friendship bloom, graduating together and both secretly wishing for maybe something more in your friendship further on….

The Quarentine Bus - Fidgeting
Focusing on object out there that can help you with fidgeting, whether it’s because of anxiety, ADHD, etc. This is for you to read and I hope it helps you.
Tumblr media
Personally, I tend to fidget, mostly picking, scratching and tearing at my skin (sometimes to the point of  bleeding). It’s only recently that I’ve actually tried to find ways to help it because recently it is starting to get a little out of hand. These are some things that I’ve found helpful to stop picking at my hang-nails/lips/acne/wrists/etc.
Fidget Cube/Spinner/Slime
This one is kinda obvious. I usually carry a fidget cube with me in my pocket if I’m heading out on the bus or walking to the shop (it was a gift from one of my friends). You can pretty get these at any toy store or supermarket or possibly sometimes you find them for sale on the counter of a petrol station. Obviously they’re online as well. They’re not expesive, well…. I guess there are slimes out there that like stupid expensive because of certain ingredients, but I guess that’s up to you if you want.
Keychain
This is like a replacement or backup for my fidget cube. What’s great about a keychain is that it’s always with you and the kychain can literally be anything. For myself, I have a lego person on my house-keys. So at any point I just take it out and fiddle with the arms and legs.
Knitting/Crochet
This isn’t a popular one and I understand. I find this one helpful for when you’re just at home trying to relax or are watching something on t.v/computer or even listening to the radio or podcast. I don’t know if anyone else is like this, but I tend to repeat my action when fidgeting so knitting is one of my favourite past times in general.
Drawing/Doodling
If you don’t like knitting maybe this one will suit. Obviously it doesn’t matter if you’re good or bad at drawing. Even if it’s just scribbling randomly or repeatively writing a word. I think just a pen and paper just helps. This is just nice for when chilling back and such.
*~*
I hope this has helped anyone and if you are someone who fidgets like hell and have some suggestions to deal with it, don’t be afraid to message or reblog and comment.
That’s all for now, so see you guys next week!

Like send her out to a rural seaside area to stay with that relative she barely knew about who's quirky and funny and to where she'll meet a beautiful person who lives just up the road and happens to be the perfect holiday love for her. Things don't work out at first, they hate each other until they figure out each others back stories and BAM! Romance
I feel FATIGUED like send her to the seaside for her health type fatigue

I hate the whole backlash like ‘you say touch starved but you actually just mean horny’ NO I mean when I was getting my hair cut there was a moment where the hairdresser tilted my head to the side and the top of my head brushed his chest and my brain short circuited with endorphins because it thought I was being held
