my favourite part of scar's tactics in last life is that even though he's not good at pvp, he's a content creator. he knows what makes good content and he's able to use that by scamming people into accepting objectively bad deals like useful materials or tools for renamed stained glass because it's funnier to "yes and" it, and by weaponizing that instinct his fellow creators have, he's able to be so much more successful than he'd otherwise be on mechanical skills alone.

"well if everyone just didn't play along he wouldn't last half as long." the point is that they do, and he knows they will, and he's able to use that to his advantage like an absolute king.
