so uh, a little update. i'm doing well. im almost finishing my semesters. i hope you guys are doing fine.

i don't know if i'll ever return to this blog. my motivation to write fluctuates from time to time. but, if you still want to keep in contact with me, I have a discord server! It's kinda of an Iron Leaguer server, but we still talk about other fandoms like Transformers!

" Mostly, people here would expect children to get married and have kids when they grow up because it is a norm. It can be because they want to continue the bloodline. They will judge you if you don't want to start a family. They made it look like an obligation. "

" My parents don't have such expectations, thankfully. But my auntie does. She always disapproved of my dream of becoming an artist, constantly telling me I should give up on that because no men will marry me if I have such a ' low-salary ' income. That really messed up my mind back then. She made me feel like a failure. "

" To think that I'll be visiting her again this Chinese New Year, ugh, " she grimaced at the thought, " Sorry if I ramble a bit too much. I'm just kinda annoyed that I'll be going back to my homeland soon just to visit her. "

" Speaking of children... I don't know how much alike Cybertron is with Earth. But do people on your home planet pressure others to bear children? If you don't mind answering, of course. " - Star

"If someone does, they are either an outlier, or intentionally trying to provoke," Ratchet scoffs at the notion.

"Although this apparently doesn't apply to all universes, the ability to kindle is a rarity in my own. Regardless of additional modding or other coding encouragement, it is not something that can be truly planned, not even who will carry the creation of a new spark if one does result from a merge."

A low sigh follows, "If we could reproduce easily, repopulation would be plausible without the full restoration of our planet. But no, the Well is our primary source of new life... And the third option -budding- is an incredibly taxing... asexual(I believe is the best English term?) process, as it does not have a second partner's energy to assist in its creation and development."

He present a bottle of high-grade Engex, " They've been in our ship's storage for eons now but it can still be consumed. Supposedly for when the Decepticons won the war, but I don't see it coming. Rest assured, I did not poison it... Your medic can go ahead and scanned it if he's so worried. "

He remembered he'd give to her a bouquet of flowers, a few cybertronian snacks, and some jewellery. He'd tried not to miss her performance if work did not go in his way. He longed for those simpler days, which he could never have again. It went from a sense of betrayal, hatred, and bitterness to a sense of regret.

Would things change if he made a different choice?

The graven furrow between her brows lifted upon seeing the gift. After all, he approached with genuine intentions, rather than trying anything funny with her.

And along with that, there was a strange sense of nostalgia, drawing her closer the seeker. It might have been foolish, considering what went down during millions of years. Yet, she could still remember their talk some while ago - how both seemed to recall the past with some kind of yearning.

"I received a lot of gifts, didn't I... from certain leader from Vos." Perhaps, there was even a smile when she recalled it. "You mean yule, or christmas... some humans practice it. Didn't think Decepticons cared any of that."

For a while, she thinks. Looking at the gift her arms still crossed. Was it smart to let him so close again? After all, how would others perceive it? Yet, wasn't it the spirit of the season, for humans, at least. For once to drop down the weapons - and show care and love beyond boundaries?

"Didn't think my optics were really that bright?" She looks up, the blue, magenta and white creating the tri-hues. "...it is such a beautiful finding."

He stood where he was, keeping the distance between them. It still felt so unreal that the two of them weren't fighting. He said nothing for a moment, fiddling the unknown object in his servos.

" I... brought a few things for you, as a gift for... oh, what was that human festival's name again? Ah, whatever it is- "

He finally held out the little object in his servo, revealing it to be an opal stone.

" I found this in one of the energon mines. It reminds me of your optics, " he said.

It would have been a perfect place for her to disappear. Instead of the exact coordinates, the groundbridge had opened slightly further. And the twowheeler, now closed the distance to the meeting spot by pedes.

There he was. Alone.

But so was she, as promised.

"Hey." She greeted, holding up her hands as to prove she had nothing prepared for his helm. She would give him that. A fair meeting. Once few feet away, she stopped, crossing her arms. " Allright Starscream, what is this about? I had to do a lot of convincing to be able to come. I hope it was worth it."

Starscream was relieved that Arcee was willing to follow his request. He provided the location shortly. As it appeared, he was intending to meet up with the two wheeler in the forest. Afterwards, he quickly gathered the gifts and headed out of his hab suite. He walked past Knock Out, who was puzzled as to why he didn't respond when he greeted him.

The tall trees sway softly in the breeze, casting patterns of sunlight and shadow on the ground below. The smell of damp earth and decaying leaves fills the air. The woods are alive with sound, from the chirping of birds to the rustling of leaves. Out in the open, Starscream stood, waiting for the Groundbridge to appear and see the two wheeler.
