My Suzy Goose Big Sister set arrived - I was SOO excited. It was NRFB

Its the pink version (pink vanity and pink wardrobe the bed is white)

The only thing broken was the right chandelier on the mirror of the vanity (going to fix that with crazy glue) and the mirror is unattached.

There was no mattress for the bed too. Just a piece of rectangular cardboard. Weird

What I find fascinating, is that the Barbie name is not on the front of the vanity. Like they deliberately filled it in.

And since the set is called Big Sister set, I think they put this set together in the early seventies, hoping that not having the name Barbie in the front might entice more people to purchase the set. Maybe they had too much inventory.

Update : everything fixed up nicely with crazy glue 🩷🩷🩷

Just like for Nendo Kansuke, I made his crutch in a similar way from a dowel, worbla, and some foam clay (and glue).

Shoes are gonna be difficult. Best I can do atm is these possibly Sofia the First slippers??? Not sure, probably thrifted them loose in a bag but I don't remember.

Girl has zero neck. I think this top is from a Lil Woodeez racoon or mouse figure.

I feel strangely enamored with the size and shape of her, the way she fits in your hand. I don't usually like tiny dolls but I'm so glad I get to have this one.

Moving her is a pain. But who cares, lookit that face 🌟

Another irresponsible collector moment

I had a doll.

I decided she wasn't for me (fashion-sized Dollshe Audrey in light tan). So I gave her away to... someone.

I think I know their real name, but I'm not totally sure, and I definitely don't remember their username. But that's not the irresponsible part.

No, no. The irresponsible part is that I forgot to include the COAs. Even better, I mailed them to someone else (the wrong COAs). Now that I've discovered the correct COAs for that doll, we're going to swap.

Does... anyone remember who got this doll? I'm pretty sure we agreed on this blog.

For her casual look, I'll probably do a mix of these two wigs, more curly like left, but longer like right side. Thankfully she didn't want to claim any of these, as they're not made for her 😅

And as I've thought from the start, she looks close enough to Iset to work with my siblings plans.

Sculpting Berry!! 🫐🍓💖

Another process photos compilation! Most of them I have already shared them on Instagram or BlueSky, but it's nice to put them all in one place 🫶

So, I started this head on October 2023 with the idea of making a revision of my first head Merry, since 2024 is Merry Doll Round 12th Anniversary, and 12 is my number 😊

So, my first step was taking a quick plaster mold of the original Merry head (head on the right), just of the face. Then I took a replica with clay, and started working on it. This process was very quick, and I didn't take any picture of it.

My idea was to make a similar system as the original Merry, with an additional piece inside the head for the teeth.

She was a cutie already 🫶 But I wasn't satisfied with the teeth, I couldn't make it look natural, so I stored her and I kept working on Mugi and a pre-order.

A couple of months later, I took her out and decided to remake the mouth from scratch, this time making the teeth sculpted inside the mouth! Definitely I like this result way more, it feels more natural!

And that's it! The rest of the job was sandind, fixing asymmetries and priming!

During the entire process I kept calling her "Birthday Girl", and she didn't look like Merry either, so I went for a couple of name ideas, one of them being Berry (B- from Birthday and -erry from Merry). Funny enough, I would use that name all the time when I played Sims, so after sharing her on Instagram, most people agreed she was definitely Berry!

I can't wait to get her casted, paint her face with a strong blush, and put her into lolita clothes 🥰

They might not even know/it might be an accident! Because of Instagrams weird feed, I constantly find I'm not following peeps I thought I was, either by accidental clicking or glitches etc.

I've been talking and on friendly terms with this person on instagram for over a year. We always hyping each other over dolls in private messages and would gush over certain fictional character. Few days ago I was going thru their followers list because I wanted to search for this faceup artist that we're talking about and I noticed that they didn't even follow me? i thought we were friends lol. petty but it kinda hurts
