HCs for Mabuse's childhood

I do think about what Mabuse was like in his childhood, so here we go!

Mabuse was born into a bourgeois family, he had a rigid upbringing with an authoritarian father and a mother who had high expectations of him. His father was also a drunkard who kept a mistress - at one time, a young Mabuse witnessed them having sex. There was also family drama going on, as his parents would argue which ended in his father storming out to head out to the local pub.

He hated both his parents.

He was a highly intelligent and studious child at his boarding school, which he preferred living in. Mabuse earned excellent marks and was the top student of his class, often in competition with other boys who vied for the position. He had a cold demeanor which made him unapproachable to some. However, he did have a few friends and was considered their group leader.

Mabuse was also involved in theatre for his school curriculum. He enjoyed playing Mephistopheles in a production of Faust.

Mabuse got into studying hypnotism and the occult as a hobby. When he got the hang of it, Mabuse tested out hypnotizing a fellow student into stealing the grade book from one of the instructors.

When Mabuse was in his adolescent teens, his enthralling charisma towards the opposite sex began to blossom, as well as with other boys and older men who were drawn to him. Mabuse's stunning looks made his father envious of him.

Yet, there were some people who were fearful of him, sensing there was evil that lurked within.

At this age in his life, Mabuse's mother would die of an illness. He didn't shed a single tear.
