I always wanted to make a design for LoolaLamb inspired on the Lunar Eclipse AU by @violet_mid on Twitter for a while, as it was the first AU of the Smiling Critters that I knew about and the art, the designs??? Chefs kiss ✨ So I finally sat down and made an attempt of my own!

As to her role in this AU, I don't have much to say. But basically Loola would be a Follower of the Moon, working for Catnap... Yet, in reality, she doesn't really believe in the Prototype, so she has to pretend and play along, or bad things could happen if anyone knew the truth... For the time being, she maintains a vow of silence in which only the Prototype can hear her voice and she can't talk or sing to anybody else.

Also she lost half of her arm due to an unfortunate encounter and she has a robotic replacement! Kickin' built it for her and he still has to fix it from time to time.

The final part of the Smiling Critters Family Headcanons!!

Picky Piggy

Picky Piggy and her family reside in the serene countryside of Jolly Valley, where the vibrant greenery and bustling farm life create a picturesque setting for their adventures. The Piggy family, comprising Benjamin Cowbell, Polly Porkella, and their lively triplets: Picky, Itty, and Bitty, embodies the essence of rural harmony, where hard work blends seamlessly with moments of joy and connection.

Polly's backstory paints a vibrant picture of her past life as a city girl, adorned with numerous accolades and triumphs from contests and competitions across the region. But even though she enjoyed participating in the competitons as a hobby and for fun, the busy life and training it endured, along with the pressure from her parents (even though they only wanted the best for her), was something that began to weight upon Polly as she grew up.

It was amidst the rustic charm of a rural fair that she serendipitously encountered Benjamin after running off from a contest she didn´t want to participate in, their chance meeting sowing the seeds of a deep and enduring connection in the future. They talked a bit on that first encounter, but they didn´t get to know each other´s names due to him having to leave early as his parents were waiting for him so they could return home together. Things didn´t change much in a few years from that first time, as Polly kept on participating in contests and growing famous as Benjamin kept on with his busy yet simple life as a young farmer, helping his family. One day his friends encouraged him to join a local competition and even though he didn´t know the prize, he won. It turned out that the winner got to have a date with a well known critter around the competition world... Who happened to be Polly Porkella herself (she was forced into this situation). And despite the initial confusion they were both very happy to see each other again, and they used the time of the date to know each other (and they names) properly, as well as catching up. The two of them kept in touch after that second meeting, communicating through letters most of the time.

When Polly was old enough, she seeked a more peaceful life, aside from the contesting world, and moved out with Benjamin when she had the chance, as they decided to start working in their own farm nearby CritterVille. With the passage of time, their bond flourished and their family grew, enveloping them in a tapestry of love and shared values. Despite the mischievous antics of their energetic daughters, Benjamin and Polly remained steadfast in imparting the importance of hard work and empathy.

Even though the Piggy family is numerous on its own, they also have other family members nearby them. One of them being Sturdy Donkey, who happens to be Picky´s cousin. The teenager spends most of his time working as the town´s carpenter along with his father or with his friends, but he tries to go over and help at the farm as much as he can. And in return his group can hang out and rehearse their music in one of their barns (hence the name "Barn Gang"). Picky sometimes goes over to listen to them or simply talk, and even asks if she can invite some friends over in one ocassion, to which they all agree. However when the rest of the Smiling Critters went over, there was a little surprise factor (and family drama) in regards to Pecky, Kickin´, and secrets kept between siblings... But that´s a story for another time~

BONUS

- Polly is a very skilled swimmer!! And Picky got that from her mother, but no one will know about that talent unless there is a beach episode or something /hj

- Clucketta, Kickin´s mother, goes over to the farm to visit and help Polly as they are very close friends. And by that Picky and Kickin´ knew each other even though they didn´t talk much at first. Though one day Kickin´ opened up to her, showing how he was concerned about his friend Bubba as his mother had passed away recently and he wanted to help him. Picky then suggested to bake an apple pie in order to cheer him up. The young elephant was incredibly touched by the gesture, and from that moment the three of them grew really close (even though he and Kickin´ knew each other long time before that). That was the only time any of the Smiling Critters had seen Bubba cry.

- Just like Picky, Kickin´ and Bubba are very close, Polly, Cuckletta and Mr. Bubbaphant (I will give him a name someday I promise) are very good friends as well! Polly is the most determined of the group, Cuckletta kinda follows along (even though many of the times she is confused and scared of what is even going on) and Mr. Bubbaphant watches closely in case they need help or just don´t get into trouble (like their kids lmao)

Hoppy Hopscotch

In the bustling town of Critterville, where every nook and cranny seemed to hold a tale of whimsy and wonder, lived a peculiar kangaroo named Krazyroo. With her head perpetually lost in the clouds of her own inventions and experiments, she was the local inventor, revered for her ingenuity yet often seen as an enigmatic figure by the townsfolk.

Krazyroo, with her penchant for solitude and her laboratory nestled on the outskirts near the Jolly Valley, was not one to mingle much with the denizens of Critterville. She preferred the company of her gadgets and gizmos to the chatter of the town square. Yet fate had a peculiar way of intervening in her solitary existence...

One day, as she trudged along the dusty path towards the supplies emporium, she encountered a lone bunny. The sight of the solitary child tugged at her heartstrings, though her reclusive nature initially resisted the urge to intervene. But to her surprise, the bunny persisted, following her every step with unwavering determination. At first, Krazyroo brushed off the peculiar encounter, attributing it to mere coincidence.

Yet as the days passed, the bunny, whom she later learned was named Hoppy Hopscotch, continued to shadow her every move. Despite her initial reluctance, Krazyroo found herself gradually warming up to the young bunny's infectious energy and irrepressible spirit. Eventually, Krazyroo relented and allowed Hoppy into her secluded abode, where the young bunny's boundless curiosity and enthusiasm breathed new life into the quiet corners of her laboratory.

Though Krazyroo professed her ineptitude with children, she couldn't deny the growing fondness she felt for Hoppy, whose presence brought a ray of sunshine into her solitary existence. As the days turned into weeks, Krazyroo began to recognize the potential in Hoppy's boundless energy, realizing that it could serve as a catalyst for her inventions. Together, they embarked on countless experiments, with Hoppy's zest for life complementing Krazyroo's meticulous craftsmanship.

However, amidst their newfound camaraderie, Krazyroo couldn't help but recognize the importance of Hoppy experiencing the joys of childhood beyond the confines of her laboratory. She understood that Hoppy needed to make friends and embrace the world outside their secluded haven.

Yet Hoppy, plagued by a deep-seated fear of separation stemming from the loss of her parents, initially balked at the prospect of venturing beyond Krazyroo's side. It was a hurdle that both Krazyroo and Hoppy had to overcome together, navigating the delicate balance between companionship and independence. Through patience, understanding, and unwavering support, Krazyroo gently encouraged Hoppy to step out of her comfort zone, assuring her that she would always have a place to call home amidst the adventures that awaited her.

And as Hoppy gradually spread her wings and forged new friendships in the bustling streets of Critterville, Krazyroo found solace in the knowledge that their bond, forged amidst the whirlwind of invention and companionship, would endure the test of time.

Yet another part of the Smiling Critters Family Headcanons!!

Bobby Bearhug

Teddy Bearhug, a charismatic figure, serves as the mayor of Critter Ville, a role he fulfills with unwavering dedication and a genuine desire to solve any challenges that may arise within the community. With his outgoing nature and friendly demeanor, Teddy is beloved by all who know him. He embodies the spirit of unity and cooperation that defines Critter Ville, always ready to lend a helping hand and listening ear to those in need.

Opposite to Teddy's effervescent personality stands Ivory Rosemary Locklaw, a woman of quiet strength and unwavering loyalty. Due to her quiet and mysterious nature, many of the residents of Critter Ville equally respect or fear Ivory, but some don't understand how someone like the mayor married her. Though she battles with social anxiety, Ivory's love for her family knows no bounds.

In her younger days, she often found solace in solitude, until Teddy's persistent warmth and understanding broke through her barriers, leading to a deep and enduring love between the two.

Together, Teddy and Ivory foster a home filled with boundless affection and support, instilling in Bobby the values of kindness, empathy, and community service. The Bearhug family's unwavering commitment to the well-being of Critter Ville earns them the adoration and respect of their fellow residents, who appreciate their tireless efforts to make their town a better place.

However, not everyone in Critter Ville harbors such goodwill towards the Bearhugs. A family of foxes known as the Vixeniques holds a longstanding grudge against them stemming from Vanny's father past rivalry with Teddy during a political campaign. Despite this animosity, Teddy remains blissfully unaware, treating Vanny and her family with the same warmth and kindness he extends to everyone else. And so does Bobby- Even though Vanny does not reciprocate those feelings as she is bling with envy due to Bobby having everything she could ever ask for... But they will resolve their differences later on don't worry(?

BONUS: As Ivory and Catnap share that "eerie" energy and both are pretty much introverted, they actually get along quite well! She understood how Catnap was struggling to fit into the town when he first arrived and she inmediately dared to reach out and provide him of support. So she sorta became like a motherly figure or cool aunt to him. Which is kind of special because Catnap doesn't normally open to others too much, but he likes to spend more time around certain people like Dogday or even Loola. They hang out sometimes to have cake & vibe(?

Hello everyone! I apologize for the lack of replies to asks lately, I promise that I have them in mind 🙏🏻

It's just that I have been more focused on other things, mainly designing the Smiling Critters families which I have been posting on @mintsuwu and over Twitter lately along with a bunch of other characters related to the Smiling Critters universe I have been planning with @rex-c6-0153.

However as soon as I am done with those I might take a brief pause from drawing and posting as frequently due to having final exams in may, which I should focus on (as well as doing the drawings for the winners of the art raffle I hosted). So if I get back to asks it might be after that period if possible.

Again thank you very much for your love and support towards this blog so far, and for helping me reach +100 followers! I really appreciate it and I hope I can provide more content eventually, as I have a bunch of lore prepared that I hope to share in the future.

Logos and backgrounds aren't my specialty but- Meet the Barn Gang!! 🌱 A group of teenagers who simply hang out and "secretely" play music together in a band.

Their name comes from the fact that they hang out and have rehearsals in one of the barns from the farm of Picky's family. And the pig of course watches their practices sometimes.

In fact, there was one time in which she asked them if it was okay to bring along some friends of hers... And let's just say that Kickin'Chicken was more than shocked to discover that her sister was in a music group.

I don't have much to say about them for the time being but I will share more ideas eventually!!

Bubba Bubbaphant

Bubba Bubbaphant comes from a family deeply rooted in love, passion, and a sense of responsibility towards others. His mother was a botanist, brimming with a profound affection for plants, while his father embarked on adventurous explorations as a researcher. Despite their differing pursuits, they formed a tight-knit family unit where love and care flourished.

Sadly, his mother's life was cut short by a debilitating disease that drained her vitality, leaving an indelible mark on Bubba's heart. Witnessing her struggle ignited in him a fervent desire to become a doctor in the future, driven by the aspiration to alleviate suffering and potentially save lives, just as he had hoped to do for his mother.

But even after the profound loss, the relationship with his father remained strong, as the latter balances his adventurous spirit with unwavering dedication to his family. Despite the demands of his work, he cherishes every moment spent with Bubba, recognizing the importance of being present in his son's life. He carves out moments to spend quality time with him, sharing experiences and imparting valuable knowledge gained from his explorations as the young one shares information about the adventures he has with his friends

Mr. Bubbaphant embodies the essence of a true gentleman, extending kindness and assistance to those in need without hesitation. His demeanor and wisdom reflected the refinement and kindness instilled in his son, earning him a reputation as an absolute gentleman.

Their familial circle extends to Kickin'Chicken´s family, as he is friends with his mother, Clucketta, forging a close friendship between families. Recognizing the demands of parenthood, Mr. Bubbaphant would occasionally assist Clucketta by taking on babysitting duties, providing her with much-needed respite while her husband Rockin´ Rooster is away on his own endeavors.

Through their shared experiences and mutual respect, Bubba learns the value of compassion, friendship, and the importance of standing by those they care about.

BONUS: Kickin´ was the only one of the Smiling Critters who got to know Bubba´s mother before she passed away. And after her loss he made sure to be there to support his friend all the way just like the young elephant had done for him in the past.

Kickin'Chicken (Part ||)

Rockin'Rooster is a renowned singer in the Smiling Critters universe and the father of Kickin' Chicken. Despite his fame, Rockin' spends little time with his family, prioritizing his career over them.

Kickin' idolizes his father, despite his older sister Pecky harboring resentment towards him for his selfishness. Though Rockin' favors Pecky, hoping she'll continue his musical legacy, but she rejects his expectations. Instead, she enjoys music with her friends for fun as she even plays in a band with them, but she doesn't seek for fame or fortune. Rockin' later shifts his attention to Kickin', who adores his father but longs for more family connection. The young boy feels overwhelmed by his many younger siblings, as his father's absence is often filled with new additions to the family. But despite this, Kickin' loves his family deeply.

Clucketta, Kickin's mother, once shared Rockin's passion for music, but she now focuses on supporting her family. She sacrificed her own career as a dancer before moving to Jolly Valley (I still have to think of a name for the town though) in order to live a happy and peaceful life... Despite the family's imperfections. And though she no longer wears her Merry Charm, when she does, she keeps her pendant hidden as it makes her feel nostalgic of the times where she could pursue her passion for dancing.

BONUS: Adult Kickin' design! I like to imagine that he becomes some sort of dancing teacher in the future.

DogDay x LoolaLamb is a ship that has been living in my mind rent free as of late.... @rex-c6-0153 came up with the name "Sunny Lullaby" for them, so I'm stealing it /j

When I draw their Bigger Bodies versions together it's in some sort of scenario in which Angel took a few of the toys with him after the events of the game, and so he is sort of their Guardian Angel and paternal figure... Both in the good and the bad(?

Truth be told though is that BB Dogday and Loola have some... Misunderstandings mainly due to her not having her voicebox (she got a new one eventually tho) but that didn't stop them from bonding, specially when Catnap isn't around and they weren't in constant danger (?
