Miraculous Dueling- Chapter 3
Tumblr media
Chapter 3: Let's Duel
Adrien's thoughts on his first class at the duel academy were that he had really loved it. He was well aware of the fact that he was behind when it came to some of the newer parts of the game. Even before his mom had vanished, he had never been allowed to go out and duel others nor was he ever allowed to go to any dueling tournaments. Those restrictions only got more intense after his mom disappeared.
So, when his teacher, Ms.Bustier, started to teach them, he had been very excited to learn. Especially since while he knew about and was able to use fusion and ritual summoning, the newer summoning techniques were really things that he wanted to learn about. He already knew that Lyon used gate summoning while Vallia uses XYZ summoning.
He did not know much about synchro, XYZ, gate, link, or pendulum summoning. At least, he didn't know until the end of his first class.
Synchro is when two or more monsters are used to combine their levels into the level of the synchro monster that is being summoned. And one of those monsters needs to be a tuner monster for the synchro to actually be possible. XYZ is when two monsters of the same level were combined to summon the monster. Those monsters would become overlay units that would be used to activate the monster's special abilities. Pendulum summoning is when two pendulum monsters are placed on either side of the duel disk and would then be considered spell cards that would be used to summon multiple monsters at once. Pendulum monsters are monster cards with gem-like symbols on them with numbers that tell the levels of the monsters that would be allowed to summon, which would be any monster with a level that is between the numbers of the two used pendulum monsters. Link summoning is when one or more monsters are used to call a monster with the same number of links as the number of monsters used with their special abilities sometimes depending on the number of links they have. And gate summoning is when two monsters that are the same type, such as two light monsters or two warrior monsters, are used to become the "keys" to open up the "gate" for the monster. The monsters would become similar to overlay units and pendulum cards where they would remain the "keys" and could be used to call the monster over and over again unless they were destroyed.
He thought that all of them were amazing, even when he wanted to stick with his fusion summoning. He knew about that already and even when fusion, advance, and ritual summoning were the three oldest summoning techniques, they were still all very good techniques as well.
Fusion summoning was when two or more monsters were brought together through the use of a spell, special ability, or trap in order to fuse them together into a whole new monster. Advance summoning was when one or more lower-level monsters would be sacrificed or tributed in order to summon a higher-level monster with levels five and six needing one tribute while levels seven through nine needed two and ten through twelve needed three. And ritual summoning was when a spell or trap ritual card was used in order to sacrifice monsters to equal the level of the monster that was going to be summoned. Though, ritual and advance summoned monsters were kept in the regular deck unlike how the other monsters were kept in the extra deck.
And during class, he actually did get to talk with Nino a little when he was able to. Nino turned out to be a very nice guy with a deep love of music. Not only did he duel, but he also wanted to become either a professional DJ or a film director in the future. Adrien was really starting to like Nino since he seemed like such a nice, relaxed, and fun guy. Though, he would not tell his father about it since there was no way his father would approve of someone that wanted to be a DJ one day.
Nino also gave him a low-down on the rest of their classmates since he did not know any of them other than Lyon, Vallia, and Chloe. And Adrien had to admit that there were certainly a lot of colorful characters in his class.
Starting with the girls, there were Marinette, Alya, Juleka, Alix, Rose, Mylene, and Sabrina. Marinette is a fashion design hopeful that is actually a big fan of Adrien's father. Alya wants to be a reporter and even has a blog all about her reporting on up-and-coming duelists. Juleka was a quiet and shy girl but is actually a very skilled duelist. Alix is an athletic girl that is about as tomboy as a girl can get. Rose is the class sweetheart that never wants to see the bad in anyone. Mylene wants to be an actress and was actually very skilled for her age. And Sabrina was basically just Chloe's minion that did anything that Chloe says no matter what.
With the guys, there were Kim, Nathanial, Max, and Ivan. Kim was another of the class athletes that is known for having a really good heart while also being a bit oblivious at times. Nathaniel is an artist that loves to draw duel monsters and he dreams of being a card designer one day. Max is the class geek and he uses a lot of math to help him predict how duels will go. Ivan is a quiet guy that looks like he could be a WWE Superstar but is actually about as harmless as a guy can be.
Adrien also learned what most of the class seemed to think about Chloe, Lyon, and Vallia. In all honesty, they thought that Vallia was a very nice girl that was really quiet at times and was the only one that seemed to be able to "control" her brother. They even called her the Flower Princess since she always had flowers in her hair. That was the complete opposite of Lyon as Nino told him that most of them see Lyon as the cold and serious Ice Prince. It seemed that other than his sister, Lyon only really talks to Juleka, Kim, and Nathaniel from their class. Chloe probably was who Adrien learned was hated by everyone. Not even just in their class, but in the entire school. Nino tells Adrien that they all knew that Chloe was nothing but a bullying brat that gets away with everything she does because she is the daughter of the mayor.
Even when Adrien told Nino that Chloe was his childhood friend, he had only patted the blond and said that he would have better friends soon. Adrien just thought that Chloe needed to have a friend around and then maybe the others could see that she was not that bad. After all, she never was mean to him, so maybe that would help her get along with others.
Little did he know that if others heard him say things like that, they would have all facepalmed. Adrien was definitely a little too much of a little ball of sunshine for some people.
After a few more classes came the time that Adrien knew he would enjoy the most. Duel Practice class. Well, it was not really a class as it was more just the time every day that was used to have the students practice their dueling together. But, it was called a class anyway.
Adrien had no idea about what other decks were going to be used by the others, so it was going to be a very interesting class. He could hardly contain his excitement.
"You definitely have a great love of dueling, don't you, Adrien," Nino chuckled at his new friend's excitement.
"I can't help it," Adrien was practically vibrating in excitement. "I have not seen this much live dueling in a long time."
"You are going to love this class," Nino chuckled.
"It has been the one that I have been looking forward to all day," Adrien's grin was brighter than the sun.
All of the students made their way to the courtyard as they got their duel disks from their lockers in order for them to duel each other. From what Adrien could see, there was a lot of talking between the students that went to different classes. They all wanted to test their skills on those that were outside of their friend group.
"So, is there anyone that you want to duel first, dude," Nino asked the blond.
"I think that I should watch a duel before I take part in one," Adrien rubbed the back of his neck nervously. "I may be rusty."
"Well, lucky for you that duels usually start off right away around here," Nino says.
And Nino turned out to be right. It seemed that Chloe did not take too kindly to being called out by Lyon earlier. She obviously wanted to duel him again.
"This is seriously getting old, Chloe," Lyon crossed his arms as he looked at her. "You have never beat me before and you won't beat me now."
"You only got lucky all those times," Chloe yelled at him. "And I will be the one to beat you when your luck runs out!"
Lyon just rolled his eyes as he activated his duel disk. Chloe also activated hers as well.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Adrien wondered what their desks would be. Usually, a duelist's duel disk would reveal the type of deck that they would use, but others simply just used a style that they liked. Since it has been a long time since he had seen any public duels since he usually just watched professional tournaments on TV, he was really curious and excited about this duel. And even when Chloe was his childhood friend, he had no idea what her deck would be.
Lyon and Chloe were the first two to step onto the duel field. They stood on opposite ends of it as they prepared to duel.
"This is really starting to get old," Vallia actually looked bored.
"Two people can only duel so many times before it starts getting predictable," Nathaniel says.
"It must be boring at this point since Alya is not even bothering to film it for her duelist blog anymore," Kim pointed out.
True to what the athlete had said, the reporter hopeful was on her phone, but she was not filming the duel about to happen at all.
"Do they really duel that often," Adrien asked them as he and Nino joined them.
"To no fault on Lyon's end since all he does is beat her and Chloe never accepts it whenever she loses," Vallia tells him. "She always accuses others of either cheating or just being lucky whenever she loses."
"Really annoying," Kim added.
Their attention then went back to the duel. The two duelists drew their five-card hands as they gained their 4000 life points. Their duel disk hologram systems activated.
"Let's duel," they both said.
"Ladies first, peasant," Chloe insulted Lyon while drawing her first card from her deck. "Let me start off your destruction with this precious crystal. Gem-Knight Garnet in attack mode."
On her field appeared a knight completely covered in bright red armor. Its fists were blazing with fire, making the garnet gem on its chest glow even brighter. Red eyes shined through the eye holes in its helmet. It got into a battle stance with its 1900 attack points.
Adrien remembered the Gem-Knights being one of the options that had been offered to him when he wanted to use a fusion deck. He actually thought that it was a good deck for Chloe since she always loved crystals and jewels. She owns more jewelry than anyone else that he had ever met. Except for Chloe's own mother, the famous Style Queen.
"Same move as always," Vallia yawned. "Does she ever get tired of trying to go full-offense and then leaving herself with weaker monsters for later?"
"At least it is always entertaining to see Lyon defeat her without even actually using his full skill-set," Juleka giggled.
Adrien was really starting to understand more about the class dynamics and where everyone has formed their own groups within the class. He would need to spend more time with them to try and see where he belonged. He just hoped that was actually possible since there is no doubt that his father will have him do a lot of photoshoots whenever he could to make up for the ones that he can not do while at school. But, it was worth it to actually be able to go to the duel academy.
"With Garnet on the field, I will let you admire its beauty while I end my turn with two facedown cards," Chloe said.
She placed down two facedowns. Facedown cards were when a duelist would place a spell or trap card onto the field in a face-down position in order to use them at a later time during the duel to use against their opponent. If the card's rules allowed it, then the trap or spell could even be used during their opponent's turn.
"At least you finally stopped talking," Lyon drew a card from his deck. "And I think that I will start my turn by activating a spell card. Gardener's Choice. This spell allows me to choose a level four or below plant-type monster from my deck and add it to my hand."
A card stuck out of his deck from its place in his duel disk's deck holder. Lyon then took the card and added it to his hand.
"Plant cards," Adrien could admit that he was a little shocked.
Nino chuckled. "Yeah. No one would ever guess that he would use a plant deck since he is known as the Ice Prince."
"So, does that mean Vallia is the one that uses ice cards," Adrien laughed a little as he made the joke.
"Actually, my deck is called the Sky Spirit deck," Vallia tells him. "It's based on birds, harpies, and other wind monsters."
"Cool," Adrien was definitely now interested in seeing Vallia duel.
"You talk a big game, but you will see why things are called a force of nature and not a force of crystals," Lyon says. "I summon Floral-Beast Euphorbia Elephant in attack mode."
Lyon's deck was showing how it was made of the fusion of plants and animals. Onto his field appeared an elephant with a floral twist. It was similar to a real elephant, but it looked like it was made out of gray wood with a floral necklace of the reddish-pink flowers. It also had a vine-like tail with the same flower at the tip of its tail. There were also flowers around all of its ankles and well as a giant one at the end of its trunk. It also showed why the flower was also known as the Mexican Fireplant when it tooted its trunk and shot a fireblast into the air to show off its 1800 attack points.
"It seems that I was right when I declared when we first met that you are as dumb as you look," Chloe taunted him. "My Garnet will destroy that eye-sore."
"You really should learn some patience," Lyon said as he took the card from his hand that he had brought from his deck with his spell. "Because I have a plant-type monster on my field, I can summon Floral-Beast Honeysuckle Hummingbird to the field."
His newest monster flew onto the field with elegance and grace. It was a giant hummingbird with bright blue feathers and a white feathered belly. It had honeysuckle flowers all down its back as well as wrapped around its ankles and around its neck like a necklace. It floated next to the elephant monster as it gained a blue outline since it was in defense mode. It had 1500 defense points.
"You still can't beat me with those monsters," Chloe laughed tauntingly.
"I activate Euphorbia Elephant's special ability," Lyon ignored what Chloe was saying. "When another Floral-Beast is special summoned to the field, it gains its attack points for the rest of the turn."
Red energy flowed from the hummingbird to the elephant. Honeysuckle had 1000 attack points, and that now made Euphorbia 2800 attack points strong. Lyon ordered the attack on Garnet and his elephant charged at it. Garnet was unable to defend itself as it was lifted into the air by the elephant's trunk. The monster shattered into golden shards as Chloe's life points dropped to 3100.
"You got lucky," Chloe shouted.
"And you are hurting my ears," Lyon stated. "I end my turn with a facedown."
His elephant's attack points returned to normal as Chloe drew her own card. Adrien was definitely really intrigued by the duel. Lyon was certainly proving that he was really good with his cards.
"Your brother is really good," he tells Vallia.
"This is not even the best that he can do," Vallia smirked. "He could have placed Honeysuckle in attack mode and dealt extra damage after Euphorbia destroyed Garnet. But, he chose not to in order to give himself some defense as well as offense."
"Even when he's beaten her multiple times as you have told me, he does not underestimate her," Adrien realizes.
Vallia nodded. "Lyon takes every duel seriously no matter the opponent that he has."
Chloe was really looking angry as she wanted to defeat Lyon so badly. She looked at the cards in her hand and actually smirked. She obviously had a plan.
"Let's see how you handle this precious crystal," she continued to smirk. "Gem-Knight Alexandrite."
Another knight appeared on her field. This one had white armor, but with several rainbow-colored gemstones on its knees, elbows, back of hands, shoulder, and a giant gemstone on its chest. It held a sword as it had 1800 attack points.
"This strategy again," Lyon muttered to himself as he rolled his eyes. "This is seriously getting old."
"But this gem won't be sticking around for long," Chloe says. "Because by using its special ability, I can sacrifice it to summon any normal-type gem monster from my deck. And I think that Gem-Knight Crystal will do nicely."
Alexandrite shattered, but its pieces were put back together onto a different monster that Chloe called from her deck. This one was twice the size of her precious two knights as well as a lot more decorated as well. It had shared of clear crystals on its shoulders and on either side of its hips. The rest of it was a tan-colored armor right out of Camelot. It had 2450 attack points.
"At least her cards are pretty," Adrien heard their classmate Rose say.
"That's the only thing actually pretty about Chloe," their classmate Alix laughed at her insult.
"Now, attack that ridiculous bird of his," Chloe ordered her knight.
Crystal started to charge at Honeysuckle Hummingbird.
"Why go after the card in defense mode when she could actually do some damage by attacking Lyon's elephant," Adrien was confused.
"Even Chloe can come up with strategies sometimes," Nino tells him.
"And I think that I will make this duel a lot more interesting by playing my trap card, Strike Slash," Chloe played one of her facedown cards. "This not only increases my monster's attack by 700 points but also allows me to deal damage even when your monster is in defense mode."
Her knight charged at Lyon's hummingbird as it went up to 3150 attack points. The plant monster tried to fly away, but was grabbed by the knight and then slammed into the ground. The hummingbird shattered when it hit the ground. Lyon's life points dropped down to 2350 points.
"Now that was a major hit," Adrien said. "But... is Lyon even phased at all?"
Lyon really was just standing there. He did not look like he was worried at all even after losing one of his monsters and taking a big hit like that. And yet he looked as cool as a cucumber.
"He is the Ice Prince," Nino said.
Adrien did not like that Lyon was basically known as being only the Ice Prince to some of their classmates. Lyon was really nice, but he obviously saw something up with the rest of their classmates since he only talked with his sister, Juleka, Nathaniel, and Kim. He was so confused about how to deal with social things. He had been away from kids his age other than Chloe for so long that he really was clueless. He liked Lyon, but Nino had been so nice to him. His brain hurt trying to figure everything out.
Back at the duel, Chloe was looking smug since she landed such a big hit.
"That should take you down a peg or two," she laughed. "I'll end my turn with a facedown. You're move, loser."
The ending of her turn made Gem-Knight Crystal's attack points return to normal.
"Do you ever shut up," Lyon asked her as he drew his next card.
That only caused Chloe to glare at him some more.
"Just make your move already so that I can beat you," she was obviously annoyed.
"Whatever," Lyon said, basically ignoring her. "My garden has a lot more dangers in it than you think. And while I do thank my Euphorbia Elephant for its help, I now have to sacrifice it in order to call upon an even more dangerous flower."
His elephant shattered as he took another card from his hand to place on his duel disk.
"Wow," Adrien gasped when he saw it.
"I advance summon Floral-Beast Evening Primerose Bald Eagle," Lyon called.
The elephant was exchanged for another bird plant monster. This one was twice the size of his Honeysuckle Hummingbird. A giant-sized bald eagle with the primroses lining the top of its wings as well as having a giant one at the base of its neck as if it was the pendant of a necklace. Its talons were also like giant thorns. And almost every time that it flapped its wings, it seemed to scatter flower petals everywhere. It let out its eagle shriek as it glared at Chloe and Gem-Knight Crystal with its 2000 attack points.
"I always have liked that monster," Vallia smiled.
"I activate Evening Primerose's special ability," Lyon says. "When he is first summoned, I can banish another Floral-Beast monster from my graveyard to double its attack points until my next turn. I choose to banish Euphorbia Elephant."
He took the card out of his graveyard and put it in his pocket since monsters and cards taken out of play like that would not be used again unless another ability brought them back into play. When Lyon did that, what seemed to be the spirit of his Elephant went into the flower around Primerose's neck and then his eagle's attack points went up to 4000. It was definitely enough to beat Chloe's Gem-Knight.
With a wave of his arm, he commanded his monster to attack Chloe's knight. Gem-Knight Crystal tried to defend itself, but the eagle's strength was too much for it. With a difference of 1550 attack points, Evening Primerose Bald Eagle used its thorn-like talons to destroy the knight. It shattered as Chloe's life points dropped down to 1550, literally cutting her life points in half.
Lyon then ended his turn with another facedown card. He was still as cool as ice, something that Adrien really liked. He was not sure if he would ever be this calm when he would finally get a chance to duel. especially since while Lyon was currently in the lead, his 2350 life points were only 800 points ahead of Chloe's 1550.
"He is very good," Adrien says to Vallia. "But Chloe does seem to be putting up a good fight as well."
"That may seem what it looks like, but Lyon could have beat her at any point," Vallia tells him. "And this is not overconfidence in my brother, but the knowledge that I have of his deck."
"Plant cards are very powerful in the right hands," Adrien said. "There is that legendary plant duelist in Japan, Akiza, that used to be known as the Black Rose."
"Not just that," Vallia says. "Lyon's deck is very rare and very powerful. The fact that Chloe has made it this far in the duel is because Lyon has allowed her to. He could have used Hummingbird and Elephant to gate summon a powerful monster before and yet he didn't. He also has had a facedown card since his first turn that he also has not used. Chloe may think that she has an upper hand since it is now her turn, but Lyon's garden has a lot more thorns in it."
Adrien really did have a lot to learn as he looked at the duel again. And not just about the game, but about his new friends as well. He was getting more and more curious by the second.
Chloe drew her next card and she had a smirk on her face.
"You're going down, you wannabe prince," she said. "I activate the spell card Gem-Knight Fusion."
Adrien's eyes widened as he also smiled. He was finally getting to see some special summoning happen. While he had chosen a fusion deck as well, it was not like he had actually dueled anyone, yet.
"Anyone want to bet what she is going to try this time," he heard Kim ask the others. "I think she is going to try for Master Diamond again."
"I bet it will be Lady Brilliant Diamond," Nathaniel guessed.
"Maybe she will try and use both again," Juleka said.
"This really is getting old," Vallia says. "I am going to have to teach Lyon how to say 'no' to a duel."
"Or, one of us is just going to have to challenge him before Chloe gets the chance to do so," Kim stated.
"Either way, we really need to stop Chloe from continuing to annoy Lyon like this," Vallia said.
"With this card, I am going to fuse three of my precious crystals together," Chloe says, taking the remaining three cards in her hands. "I fuse Gem-Knights Sapphire, Obsidian, and Sardonyx. Bringing them together to form an even more powerful monster."
The three knights appeared over the field on Chloe's side. Sapphire was a female-looking knight with light blue armor that had a giant sapphire gem on its chest. Obsidian was a shorter knight with black armor and a giant obsidian gem on its chest. And Sardonyx was a muscled-looking knight carrying a wreaking ball-like weapon with maroon armor and a sardonyx gem on its chest.
A swirl of blue and orange light appeared around them as the three knights all joined hands. They turned into a white light that joined in with the blue and orange light.
"Amazing," Adrien was impressed by the effects.
"I fusion summon, Gem-Knight Lady Brilliant Diamond," Chloe called her next monster.
A more elegant knight then appeared on the field. It was a large female knight with silver armor with select rainbow diamonds around the armor. It also had on a short red cape attached to its shoulders. There were also three large diamonds on its chest. It held a sword with its 3400 attack points.
"I knew it," Nathaniel shook his head.
"Good thing that I did not bet money on Master Diamond," Kim chuckled.
"And since I sent Gem-Knight Obsidian to the graveyard from my hand, that activated its special ability," Chloe says. "I can now take a normal-type Gem monster from my graveyard and special summon it to the field. So, let's have Garnet come back to help show you your place, loser."
The knight of fire soon rejoined the duel. Its fists still blazed with its 1900 attack points.
"Are you sure that Lyon is not in trouble," Adrien asked Vallia, concerned for Lyon's chances in the duel.
"While I am sure that Lyon would appreciate you being concerned for him, he can handle himself," Vallia tells Adrien.
"We will help get you up to speed on who is skilled and who is not, blondie," Kim placed one of his arms around Adrien's shoulders.
Adrien could not help but smile since Kim, even from the small amount of time that he knew him, always just seemed to be happy and energetic. His happiness was infectious.
"I also activate Brilliant Diamond's special ability," Chloe says. "Where she allows me to fusion summon using only one monster. And I think that Garnet will be the perfect crystal to help Brilliant Diamond take you down."
Brilliant Diamond moved its hands closer together and more diamonds came out of the ones on its chest. Garnet and the diamonds floated up into the air and another swirl of blue and orange light appeared.
"She thinks that she can beat me, but she refuses to grow as a duelist," Lyon thought to himself. "She is not going to get very far in the dueling world if she continues to believe that her style is perfect and never does anything to improve it."
"I fusion summon, Gem-Knight Ruby," Chloe called her next monster.
Another red knight appeared. This one was the same size as Brilliant Diamon, but was more muscled and had deep red armor with some gold details as well. It also had a long blue cape rather than Brilliant Diamond's short red cape. It held an ax with a long handle to show off its 2500 attack points.
"I guess there's a reason why Chloe always needs Sabrina to do her math homework for her," Alix snickered.
While Chloe looked very irritated and angry over Alix's comments, she tried to focus on the duel. She was clearly planning on insulting Alix later for the pink-haired girl's comments.
"You won't be so high and mighty after I take you down," she glared at Lyon. "I play my trap Call of the Haunted. With this card, I can bring back any monster from my Graveyard. So, if you thought that you were done with Garnet, you were mistaken."
The knight once again appeared on her field. But as Adrien looked at Lyon, he was shocked that he was still as calm as he was. He knew that Evening Primerose's attack points were higher than all the monsters' on Chloe's field, but it was still three monsters against his single one. Plus, even with the two facedown cards on Lyon's field, Chloe had another facedown as well. He really wished he knew more about his classmates to know if he should actually be worried about who would win and who would lose.
Plus, even though Chloe was his friend, he was actually cheering for Lyon on the inside. The way that Lyon was able to keep his cool so easily was something Adrien knew that he could never do. He would have been freaking out if he was in Lyon's position.
"I wonder if she will ever try anything new," Lyon was seriously annoyed with Chloe thinking that she could beat him with the same strategies over and over again.
"Let's see how tough you are when I activate Gem-Knight Ruby's special ability," Chloe smirked. "By sending Garnet back to the graveyard, my Ruby gains all of its attack points. And that will be enough to take out your weak flower and then have Brilliant Diamon finish you off for good."
Ruby looked at Garnet and the knight almost seemed to be frightened as its bigger comrade took its ax and brought it down onto it. Garnet turned into red energy and was absorbed by the ax. Ruby's attack points went up to 4400. Just enough to defeat Lyon's Floral Beast. But yet even then, Lyon did not look as if he was phased in the least.
But at the same time, there was a hint of annoyance in his eyes when Chloe so easily sacrificed her Gem-Knight the way that she did. How she did not care at all instead of respecting her card. Lyon actually looked annoyed with her over that.
"A duelist needs to respect ALL of their cards," Lyon thought as he narrowed his eyes a little at Chloe. "They are not just tools to use."
"Time for your luck to run out," Chloe smirked. "Take down that bird, Gem-Knight Ruby."
Her knight charged across the field toward Lyon's monster. Adrien did not want to see, yet he also could not look away. Chloe's monster jumped into the air and brought down its ax onto Evening Primerose. There was a burst of light as the eagle shattered. No one could see anything because of the light. Chloe did look smug as Lyon went down to 1950 life points.
"She is going to be in for a surprise," Adrien heard Vallia say.
"Huh," Adrien was surprised by her.
He only got a smirk in response from the human version of a flower.
Chloe still looked smug. "I told you that you were a loser and now I get to show everyone how much of a loser you are."
"You really need to wait for the smoke to clear before you think that you have won," Lyon said.
Chloe and Adrien were both confused. At least, they were confused until the light finally died down and it was revealed what was on Lyon's field. There was a glowing trap card on his field and there were three new monsters as well. Even if they were a lot smaller than his usual Floral Beast cards.
The three of them were little kittens but actually were more like little lion cubs since they had manes made out of giant sunflower petals. Each of them also had sunflowers at the ends of their cute tails while also having sunflower petals around each of their ankles as well. They all were sitting on the field with blue outlines around them with their zero defense points.
"WHAT," Chloe obviously did not see that coming. "You were supposed to lose like the pathetic loser that you are!"
"You have never beat me before and that will not happen now," Lyon tells her. "As for what has happened, I activated my trap card. Flower Pollen activates whenever a Floral-Beast monster that is level five or higher is destroyed. And when it happens, three Floral Tokens appear on the field. And as long as they are on the field, you can not target any other monsters that I bring out."
Tokens are different types of monsters than regular monster cards. Tokens were summoned through the use of a card effect rather than them being actual monster cards that could be summoned normally. The most common tokens were the Sheep Tokens from the Scapegoat spell card. But, a lot of cards have their own token monsters that could be summoned.
"Woah," Adrien gasped. "He really is good."
"Told you," Vallia smirked.
Chloe basically snarled at him. "I WILL take you down, you utterly ridiculous loser! Brilliant Diamond, get rid of one of those ugly things."
The tall knight ran across the field but stopped just short of stepping on one of the Floral Tokens. It was actually funny to watch as the monster itself looked conflicted about actually attacking the adorable creature in front of it. But, the knight ended up just flicking it in the forehead with one of its fingers and the token monster shattered. Chloe ended her turn after that.
Lyon drew his card and then got a look in his eyes. And out of all the looks that Adrien knew from watching professional duelists on TV, it would be how that look was one where they decided to end the duel in that turn.
"I would say that this was a nice duel, but I would be lying," Lyon said. "It's time to end this."
Chloe laughed to taunt him.
"As if you can actually win when all you have are two stupid cats while I have my beautiful crystals," she flicked her ponytail as she looked smug.
The "I'm going to win in this turn" look only got more intense in Lyon's eyes.
"Two plant-type monsters are all I need," he said. "I use my two Floral Tokens to become the keys to open the gate."
"I've never seen a gate summon before," Adrien was excited.
"Then you, blondie, are in for a treat," Kim tells him.
The two tokens on Lyon's field floated up. Both of them soon turned into golden keys while a golden gate rose up behind Lyon. The two keys went into the gate's keyholes.
"Danger blooms in my garden and gives definition to the phrase 'force of nature," Lyon calls his monster. "The Floral-Beasts never let anyone stand in their way of victory. I call a creature to aid me in this fight. I gate summon Floral-Beast Black-Eyed Susan Black Bear."
The keys inside of the gate turned and unlocked it. The gate opened and out came Lyon's monster. It was a giant black bear with emerald eyes and very sharp teeth. It had a chain made out of vines around its neck with a black-eyed susan as the pendant of the chain. Other flowers were also around its chest and back as if it was like armor. It also had thorn-like claws with its 2300 attack points.
The two keys came out of the gate before the gate vanished. The keys floated above the bear monster. It was how gate summoning worked. The keys would be like a combination of an XYZ monster's overlay units and the pendulum cards that are placed in the pendulum zone in order to summon monsters. The keys would stay on the field until they were destroyed by another card effect. And until the keys were destroyed, the monster that they were used to summon would return to the extra deck to be summoned over and over again until the keys were no longer able to call it. If the keys were destroyed before the monster, that would be when the gate monster would be sent to the graveyard.
"Gate summoning is so cool," Adrien was amazed.
"Lyon always has been a master at it for a long time," Vallia giggled.
"If you think that you can beat me with an eye-sore like that, then you are definitely the loser that I know you are," Chloe taunted Lyon.
"Never underestimate a plant, Chloe," Lyon smirks. "You never know if it has any thorns. Such as my Black-Eyed Susan Black Bear's special ability. When you have two attack-position monsters with attack points stronger than itself, then it can pass right by them and attack you directly."
"WHAT," Chloe did not like the sound of that.
"Attack her and end this, my friend," Lyon commanded his bear.
The Floral-Beast charged across the field to attack Chloe. It pushed past both of her knights, knocking them to the ground as it did. It raised one of its paws and slashed it down at Chloe. She was knocked onto her butt by the energy that was used for the attack. Her life points went down to zero, making Lyon the winner.
"Never doubt Lyon when it comes to his dueling, Adrien," Vallia tells the blond. "He is the best in our class."
Adrien was definitely looking forward to spending more time in his new school.

I saw you're doing a Miraculous x Yu-Gi-Oh AU, and it sounds fun!
I'm also working on a similar AU, but with Yu-Gi-Oh Vrains.
I call it, Yu-Gi-Oh! Miraculous Vrians, and I found a couple of great artists who redesigned Ladybug, Cat Noir, and Hawk Moth. The other redesigns are still being worked on.
I read through your AU idea and it definitely sounds good! I am taking more inspiration directly from Miraculous while adding the Yugioh elements to it, which is almost the opposite of what you are doing since it looks more like Yugioh with Miraculous elements in it.
But, it still sounds very interesting! Plus, just like you are doing, I am almost planning for the characters to have different decks when they are transformed. Like, Adrien typically uses his Elemental Heroes, but he has a different when he is Cat Noir.
Those redesigns are also really cool!

Miraculous Dueling- Adrien
Tumblr media
Miraculous and Yugioh has been a crossover that I have definitely been excited about writing. So, I thought it would be fun to also redesign some characters to fit into my AU. So, this will be the Miraculous Dueling version of Adrien Agreste!
Adrien will be a user of an Elemental Hero deck since he wanted to use fusion summoning.

Miraculous Dueling Chapter Two
Tumblr media
Chapter Two: First Day At The Academy
Adrien was practically vibrating in his seat as his bodyguard took him to his new school. There was nothing else in the entire world that would make him more excited than he was at that very moment. His first day at an actual school. A duel school where he would be able to learn and practice something that he was actually passionate about.
His father, of course, had not been happy that he had gone behind his back to sign up for the school. But, Adrien doubted that anything ever could make his father happy since he was always looking for improvement in basically everything around him. His father was also not the biggest fan of dueling. He was the owner of a fashion company, after all, not a dueling one. However, Adrien was able to talk him into letting him stay enrolled at the school by bringing up the connection to his mother and how she and Adrien used to duel a lot. So, Gabriel allowed him to stay enrolled to keep the connection to his mother alive. One of the few times that Adrien was able to win any type of argument with his father. Okay, if he was being honest with himself, it was really the literal first time he ever won an argument with his father.
When he arrived at the school, Adrien was very intrigued by how the school actually looked. The exterior of the school is tan with a slate blue cobblestone roof. The building is three stories tall.
The front of the building has eight large arched windows, each slightly inset with a striped design above them. The steps leading up to the entrance door widen as they approach the sidewalk and vice versa towards the entrance. The double entrance doors are dark oak, with gray handles. Above the doors is a white banner with a red outline hanging down. Above the banner are four rectangular windows, a large circular window, and a smaller circular window on each side.
The central portion of the school is an open-air courtyard. The entrance to the courtyard has a diagonal black and white checkerboard pattern, with a slate cream under this design. On either side of the entrance doors are a wooden bench and two chalkboards. Along one side wall of this area is a door leading to a utility room. The nurse's office, which a placard indicates is handicap-accessible, is located along the opposite sidewall.
The courtyard is made up of slate-gray concrete, with white lines painted on to make a basketball court. On either side of the courtyard is a basketball hoop hanging by a white rope. There is also a set of green metal stairs on either side of the courtyard, leading up to the second-floor rooms. Next to the stairs are green support pillars, supporting the platforms above.
Around the perimeter of the courtyard are various rooms, including locker rooms with adjoining bathrooms, and several classrooms, among them a science classroom.
The second floor has a green overhang, cream slate walls, and thin green metal pillars for structural support of the overhang. The platform jutting out from the wall, designed to allow people to get around the second floor, is made of green metal.
The second floor also has the entrances to the various classrooms, including an art studio room. Most of the classrooms have large windows and a birch door. Other rooms have no inward windows and a dark oak door with a window. At the bottom left of the stairs leading to the library is the headmaster's office.
The third floor at the front of the school has only one room, the library. The stairs leading up to the library are a light slate cream, with a slate orange and light brown banister. Just underneath the slight overhang of the banister are small white stone rectangles, positioned evenly throughout. Just at the apex of the two stairs is a stone design of a fleur-de-lis, with a downward-facing bow and flowers within the bow. The doors to the library are dark oak, with large windows and no discernible handles.
The third floor along the school's rear perimeter houses the cafeteria. Access to the cafeteria was shown to be via stairs from the first-floor courtyard.
Adrien was glad that Natalie had given him a map of the school. Otherwise, he would just have been completely lost. And by the look of the school, it certainly was big enough for it to be a duel school.
Now, the only problem that Adrien had was making friends since he knew no one around him. He reached into his bag and held his deck in its deck case. It comforted him. He knew that he was a good duelist, but it was more the memories of dueling with his mother that actually comforted him.
Adrien walked into the school as nervous as ever. He could already see a lot of students that were already there, just hanging out before class started. He kept his head down so that he was not mobbed by fans. He was not there for attention, he was there just to be a student.
Looking around, he was glad that no one had seemed to notice him yet. It gave him the chance to look around a bit before he would go to class. And he definitely noticed the wide range of people around. There was a blond girl, with two long ponytails, that was dressed almost like she had turned the sky into a dress with it being a blue dress covered in cloud designs. She was talking with a black-haired boy in a red sweatshirt that also looked to be wearing a rainbow shirt while also having painted nails. Looking another way, he saw a short girl with dark pink hair that looked to be dressed as some type of skater and she appeared to be arguing with a really tall boy in a red and white short-sleeved sweatshirt who looked to be very athletic. There was also a girl with ombre-designed brown and red hair that was staring at her phone, a boy that seemed to be doing small magic tricks for a short blond girl dressed entirely in pink, and many other types of students around.
Adrien certainly never had been around so many types of people before. He was usually only ever with other models and they typically were all very similar to him since models had to all be the same skinny and beautiful body type. Seeing all of the unique people around made him smile.
The ironic thing about him looking around him so much was that he was not actually watching where he was going. So, he ended up walking right into someone.
"I am so sorry," Adrien apologized immediately.
"Why am I not surprised that I would be the one you would run into, Adrien," a familiar voice said.
Adrien finally looked at who he had bumped into and it was Lyon. Vallia was close by. It made Adrien start to wonder if the two of them ever willingly separated. He knew they were twins, but they still spent a lot of time together.
"Oh, Lyon," Adrien breathed a sigh of relief that he had not bumped into a bully or a rabid fan. "Sorry about that. I wasn't watching where I was going."
"I can see that," Lyon said. "You seem a lot more interested in the school than most other new students would be."
Adrien rubbed the back of his neck nervously.
"Well, to be honest, I did not go to any type of school before here," Adrien admitted. "I have been homeschooled my entire life. Tutors were brought in by my dad to teach me. Along with a tutor to teach me Chinese, a piano teacher, and a private fencing instructor as well."
"That is a lot to place onto one person," Vallia said. "Especially onto a teenager."
"My father knows what's best for me," Adrien shrugged. "Besides, he's allowing me to go to the duel academy, so I'm fine."
That made the twins share a look with each other. What Adrien was saying was really ringing some alarm bells in their heads. But, they did not know Adrien that well yet, so they were going to take a "wait and see" approach to this.
"So, who is your main teacher, Adrien," Vallia asked, changing the subject.
Adrien pulled out his school schedule. "Some teacher called Bustier."
Both Lyon and Vallia had to fight not to let out some groans. They were obviously not fans of the teacher.
"Well, lucky for you that she is also our teacher," Lyon tells him. "And believe me when I say that you need luck when in that class."
"Huh," Adrien was confused.
There was then a hyper and loud girlish shriek. The kind that would more likely be heard at a boyband concert than inside of a dueling school. But, with a literal model now attending the school, it made sense for someone to make that noise. And since there is only one girl that could sound like a complete brat while letting out an excited shriek, the twins knew exactly who it was.
"You are about to find out in about three... two... one," Vallia counted down.
Adrien was then basically tackled by a very excited blond girl. And judging by Adrien's face, he knew who she was as well.
"Adrikins," Chloe Bourgeois, the spoiled brat of the school, shouted as she was the one that was tightly hugging Adrien. "You're actually here!"
"Oh... Uh... Hi, Chloe," Adrien was visually uncomfortable with how she was hugging him. "But can you let go, please? I told you that I don't like it when you do this to me."
"You're so silly, Adrikins," Chloe completely brushed off what he just said. "You love me and you know it."
"He said to let him go, Chloe," Lyon glared at the blond girl. "You really need to learn to listen to something other than the sound of your own voice."
Adrien almost jumped when he heard Lyon's voice. It was different than before. It was so cold and icy. It was as if he could cause a case of frostbite just from speaking to someone like that. Very different from the previous gentle and kind voice that he had been using before. It was like his entire personality had done a complete 180 twist.
"Don't make me call daddy," Chloe threatened Lyon.
But the icy teen only rolled his eyes in response. Vallia also did not look impressed by the threat at all.
"You have tried that threat lots of times on me, Chloe," Lyon says. "It did not work, then, and it will not work now."
"Your dad may be the mayor of this city, but what use can he be against those that have three other governments behind their backs," Vallia also sounded a little colder than usual.
Chloe glared at them but did not say anything else to them. She turned back to Adrien with some very fake sweet eyes.
"Come on, Adrikins," Chloe latched herself onto Adrien's arm and started trying to pull him in another direction. "I can have Sabrina show you around. I would do it, but playing tour guide is for commoners."
"Chloe, let go," Adrien finally pulled his arm from her grip. "I can find my way around myself just fine. Thanks for the offer, though."
Chloe pouted like a child that was just denied the candy bar that they wanted.
"Suit yourself, Adrikins," she said. "But make sure to stay close to me since I am the best student in this WHOLE school."
The twins rolled their eyes, clearly thinking something completely different. They definitely were not fans of Chloe and they made it very clear.
"I'll... uh... think about it," Adrien turned her down in the nicest way possible by making it seem like he would just think about it.
That clearly had gone right over Chloe's head as her smile at Adrien did not falter at all.
"I'll see you in class, Adrikins," Chloe walked off.
Lyon and Vallia both gave Adrien looks that were very obvious questions as to why he had let Chloe hold onto him even after he told her to let go. He had obviously not liked it and had told her as such. But the look on his face when she refused to let go and brushed off what he had said about not liking it said that he had expected her to act like that.
"Chloe's family has been friends with mine for a long time," Adrien explained. "I've known her since we were in diapers."
"That doesn't give her the right to treat you like that," Vallia said. "She was treating you like a piece of meat that belonged to her."
"Chloe is not that bad," Adrien said. "She is just really friendly with me."
"Yeah, so friendly that I felt the need to get a crowbar to get her off of you," Lyon rolled his eyes. "We better get to class before the bell rings."
He walked off. Vallia and Adrien followed him, but the blond model could not help but look at  Vallia as they did.
"Is Lyon alright," he asked her. "He acted... well... cold when Chloe showed up."
"Behold, your first meeting with the Ice Prince, Adrien," Vallia tells him.
"Ice Prince," Adrien was confused.
"Lyon is a very private person," Vallia explained. "We come from a very rich family and you are aware that our card shop is the most popular in the city, maybe even the whole country."
"Let me guess, you guys always have people trying to warm up to you in order to try and get the best cards either for a discount or for free," Adrien guessed.
"You have no idea how much that it happens," Vallia sighed.
"I was aware of Lyon's nickname already, but I figured that it was more because of his style and how he does sound a little cold when he talks," Adrien says. "Plus, I also know what it feels like to be used because of some fans wanting me just for my looks or my money instead of wanting me for me."
"That is always what is hard for us," Vallia said. "We hardly ever know who to really trust because of how we have money, connections, and other things that people would want to take advantage of."
"Trust takes years to build, but moments to destroy," Adrien was sure he heard that quote from somewhere before.
Vallia nodded. "It's why Lyon is an Ice Prince. Not only to keep away those that would use us for what we have but to also make sure bullies do not mess with him. He has been burned by broken trust before and he has not been the same since."
"He was not like that with me," Adrien was confused as to why he did not get the Ice Prince when he first met Lyon.
"I am sure that Lyon also told you that he is good at reading people," Vallia said. "He probably saw that you were not like others and would not take advantage of him. It most likely helps that as a model, he would know that you would have the same type of trust issues as him."
"It's not that I have trust issues," Adrien said. "If anything, I trust too easily. That's what my cousin Felix says, anyway. But, I am just wary of strangers just coming up to me and instantly trying to be my friend."
"Well, at least you know not to trust everyone," Vallia giggled.
The two of them and Lyon all walked into the classroom together. It certainly was a big room and Adrien actually liked how it seemed like a very light and friendly environment because of the large windows that let in so much light. He also liked how big the desks were since that allowed for a lot of space to lay out cards in order to make strategies as well as to do all normal school work too.
Adrien looked at all the students that were in the classroom already as well as the ones that were coming in. There was the pink-haired girl, athletic boy, and ombre-haired girl that he had noticed before, plus the blond girl that was in all pink. But there were also nine other students in the room. And that included Chloe and her best friend Sabrina. There was also a goth girl, a tall boy in a skull shirt, a red-headed boy whose hair covered one of his eyes, a girl with rainbow hair, a boy wearing headphones on his head, a boy that looks like a nerd stereotype from a high school movie, and a blue-haired girl carrying a box that looked like it had come from a bakery.
All in all, it was a very interesting class.
"Nino," Vallia called out to the boy with headphones. "We have a new kid in class. This is Adrien. Since Aurore is in Mendeleiev's class this year, you have a free seat next to you. Do you mind?"
"Not at all, dudette," the now-named Nino smiled at Vallia.
But then Chloe latched herself onto Adrien once again. It made Vallia seriously start considering going out and getting a crowbar. Even if she could not actually get her hands off of him with it, she would be more than happy to knock Chloe out with it and get her hands off him that way.
"My Adrikins will be sitting with me," she declared.
"But...But I sit next to you, Chloe," Sabrina looked really upset at just being thrown out of her seat like that.
Chloe ignored her. "Come on, Adrikins."
"Chloe, stop," Adrien tried pulling his arm away from her again. "I am perfectly fine with sitting next to Nino. I decided to come to school because I wanted to make friends."
"You will be much happier sitting next to me than some commoner loser," Chloe refused to let go of him again.
"Chloe, you can either let him go and let him sit where he wants, or I will beat you a lot faster than last time if we duel again," Lyon threatened her.
Chloe actually let Adrien go, but to turn to Lyon. He did not even blink at the glare that she sent his way.
"You only beat me because you got lucky," Chloe yelled at him.
"Then I also must have gotten lucky the other dozen times we dueled as well," Lyon had on a very icy smirk.
Adrien used the opportunity to slip into the spot next to Nino before Chloe had a chance to grab onto him again. He caught Sabrina's eye and she gave him a smile and a nod as a silent "thank you" for not letting Chloe just throw her out of her seat like that.
"Is it always like this," Adrien asked Nino as he saw Chloe failing to get under Lyon's skin.
"More or less," Nino shrugged. "Think of it like a welcoming to the class since no one is ever really welcomed until they witness one of Chloe's temper tantrums."
"Things will never be boring around here, will they," Adrien asked him.
"You have no idea," Nino chuckled, patting him on the back. "Just wait until  duel practice starts."
That was definitely something Adrien looked forward to.

Original Pokemon- Candran
Tumblr media
My first original Pokemon that I posted publically before creating my Patreon-exclusive Pokemon posts.
Pokemon has been one of my favorite anime for most of my life, especially the seasons that took place in Hoenn and Kalos. So, I decided to make original Pokemon.
This one is called Candran (Pronounced Can-dran) the sweet dragon Pokemon. Candran often likes to think of itself as very fierce and tough, but its special ability contradicts that since its breath releases a powerful sweet smell that smells a lot like candy.
Type: Dragon/Fairy
Region: Kalos
Moves It Can Learn: Moon Blast, Fairy Wind, Light Screen, Steel Wing, Dragon Breath, Flower Shield, Misty Terrain, Flamethrower, Swift, Draco Meteor, Dragon Pulse, Gust.
Check out more of my original Pokemon on my Patreon! Only $4 a month! I also will be posting more original Superheroes there as well! Thank you!

Miraculous Dueling Chapter One
Miraculous Ladybug and Yugioh are two of my favorite fandoms. I have previously written an idea for a crossover between these two fandoms. That is not the idea I am using for this fanfic because this is going to be a long-term fanfic project. It was inspired by @shattered-heartless and their own Miraculous/Yugioh crossover story. There will be salt, dueling, original characters, and so many more things! Enjoy and please become members of my Patreon for more original content!

Chapter One: His First Deck
Adrien was forever grateful to the Gorilla. He really did love his bodyguard since he was a lot more parental than the other adults in his life.
Currently, the child model was browsing through a card shop that he had asked the Gorilla to take him to. Adrien had recently gotten an email that he had been accepted into the Francois Dupont Duel Academy. Though, he was one-hundred percent sure that he was only accepted because he was a famous model for his father's fashion company. He knew that it was the wrong way to get into the school, but he loved dueling.
While he was a model for his father's company, dueling was what Adrien loved the most. His mother had been a really good duelist and she and he had a lot of little duels together when he had been little. He used an extra deck that his mother had since he was too young to really have a deck of his own, but he loved every second of it. But after his mother disappeared six months ago, his father locked up his mother's cards and never let him touch them.
So, that was why he was not at the Garden Family Card Shop. It was one of the most well-known card shops in Paris. It was run by the Garden family, a family of Greek citizens that moved to Paris since they were given a golden opportunity to open a card shop in the city of love. The youngest of the family, twins Lyon and Vallia, were actually both students of the duel academy as well from what he knew.
He browsed the shop to see if there were any cards that he could connect with. His mother had used a deck of fairy cards, but he wanted something he had personally chosen himself.
"You obviously look like you need some help," a male voice with an accent said.
Adrien nearly jumped out of his skin at the sudden voice. Turning around, he saw that it was Lyon Garden. He could easily see why he was known as the Ice Prince given that he was dressed entirely in silver, white, and blue. Plus, his bright blue eyes were very cold even with a sense of warmth in them.
"You're Lyon Garden," Adrien was shocked.
"I know," Lyon smirked. "I also can see that you are definitely a newbie to the world of dueling. But, you also have a great love for it."
"You can tell all that about me just like that," Adrien could not help but raise an eyebrow.
"I have always been able to tell who a person is," Lyon says. "It's better to see inside of a person's true heart than it is just seeing good in others. Call me the ultimate realist."
The way he spoke definitely had a level of coldness to it that added to the fact that he was known as the Ice Prince. Not that Adrien could really blame him since having the best card shop in Paris also meant that a lot of wannabe duelists would try and cozy up to the family in order to try and get the best cards out of them.
"I...I used to play with my mother's cards," Adrien tells Lyon. "I loved playing with her, but I never had my own cards."
"You came to the right place, then," Lyon went behind the counter. "We have starter decks, custom decks for those that order them, decks of specific archetypes, and many other things in the shop. We also have duel disks for those that do not already own their own. My older brother, Apollo, also teaches new duelers on the weekends."
"No wonder your shop is so popular," Adrien said.
"We do our best," Lyon smirked. "So, do you have an idea on what special summoning technique you want to focus on?"
Adrien had to think about that. His mother's deck only used special summoning when it came to regular monsters. She did not have any fancy monsters like fusion, synchro, ritual, XYZ, pendulum, gate, or link monsters. Adrien knew about them, but he never got the chance to use any of them. And he really wanted to.
(AN: Gate summoning/gate monsters are my own original idea. It will be explained more as I continue the book.)
"I think I would want to use fusion summoning," Adrien decided.
"That is a very good choice," Lyon got out the decks that they had that all had fusion monsters. "These are all decks that all have fusion summoning as part of them."
Adrien looked at the decks. There was certainly plenty that he could choose from. Looking at them, there were definitely some that caught his eye. The Amazon, Fossil, Melodious, Lunalight, Elemental Hero, Destiny Hero, Cyber Dragon, Gladiator Beast, Gem-Knight, Gem-Beast, and Gravekeeper cards all looked very interesting to him. He definitely had to take a few minutes before he decided which to use.
His hands hovered over them until he decided which of the decks that he wanted to choose as his own.
"The Elemental Heroes," Adrien picked up the deck.
Lyon smiled. "That is a very good choice of deck. Would you also like to buy a deck holder and a duel disk as well?"
"Yeah, that sounds good," Adrien says.
Adrien ended up choosing an emerald green deck case to match his eyes. He also went with a duel disk that would look like a long curved blue blade.
Tumblr media
(AN: I will be using duel disks inspired by those from 5D's and Zexel.)
"I hope to see you in school soon," Lyon says. "It has been a while since we have had any fresh meat."
"Fresh meat," Adrien was made a little nervous as he saw the smirk on Lyon's face.
"Lyon, don't scare the poor boy," said a female voice.
Adrien turned and saw Lyon's sister, Vallia, enter the shop. Vallia was the complete opposite of her twin in terms of how she presented herself. She was known as the Flower Princess because of her more sunny personality as well as how she always had flowers in her hair.
"You never let me have my fun," Lyon playfully pouted as his sister used his shoulder as an armrest.
"Your fun involves you using that Ice Prince persona to scare the living daylights out of people," Vallia giggled.
"I still don't see what is wrong with that," Lyon smirked.
"Brothers," Vallia shook her head fondly at her brother's antics.
Adrien could only just stand there awkwardly. He felt like a third wheel even though Lyon and Vallia were siblings and not a couple. But, they were twins, so it was only natural that they would be able to just talk to each other like no one else was around. Made him think that if the two of them ever teamed up for tag duels, their opponents would be seriously doomed.
"You... You two do attend the FD Duel Academy, right," Adrien finally spoke up.
Both twins nodded.
"It had the best reviews for duel schools when we moved here," Vallia said. "We attended duel school in Greece, so we wanted to continue that education here since we are living here currently."
"We also went to a duel school in Japan when we lived there a couple of years ago," Lyon tells Adrien.
"So, you three speak Greek, Japanese, and French," Adrien was amazed.
"Our father's parents are also American and still live in the states, so we also speak English as well," Lyon said.
That certainly threw Adrien for a loop. He would figure that the twins were smart, but he did not expect that they would be this smart. He spoke English as well, but he only spoke Mandarin and French other than that.
"Wow," was all that Adrien could say.
"We would appreciate you keeping the fact that we lived in Japan to yourself, please," Vallia requested.
"I will," Adrien said but was confused. "But why?"
"Japan is known to have some of the best duelists in the world," Lyon explained. "Like Yugi Moto and his brother Atem. Not to mention Jaden Yuki and Seto Kaiba. If people find out we lived there, we would be bothered so much by those trying to use us for those types of connections."
"Oh," Adrien said. "I can understand that. I am a model and the son of the fashion company owner, so you know that I also have people wanting to be around me for favors. Especially those that either want to meet my father or want to work for my father."
"Isn't your father a recluse that has not left his house in almost a year," Lyon raised an eyebrow.
Vallia slapped her brother on the shoulder.
"You do not just ask a question like that to someone," she scolded him.
"I don't mind, actually," Adrien says, calming Vallia down. "Yeah, my dad does not leave the house. I don't know why, but he just never leaves."
"Well, we won't pry," Lyon stated.
"Since you two attend the school, can you tell me anything about it," Adrien asked them.
Adrien paid for the deck, the deck holder, and his duel disk. But they all continued to talk as he did this. He was starting to like these two. Since he had grown up very isolated from a lot of people because of his dad being so overprotective, the only other person that Adrien really counted as any kind of friend would be his childhood friend, Chloe Bourgeois. It was another reason why he wanted to go to the duel academy. Because he wanted to make more friends.
"Well, there are different classes and clubs based on dueling skills as well as summoning techniques that are used," Lyon tells Adrien. "I personally use gate summoning while my sister uses XYZ summoning."
"There is also a very fun little rivalry between some classes," Vallia giggled. "It is all in good fun, so it never goes too far. It is really only individual students that do not get along instead of entire classes hating each other."
"That is actually so cool," Adrien said.
"There are always dueling between classes as part of exams," Vallia says. "There is a written part, but there are also duels between the classes to see how our skills have increased as well."
"I mostly just feel sorry for those that have to go up against those like Kagami and Luka," Lyon chuckled.
"I am guessing that those two are really good," Adrien said.
"The two of them are some of the best duelists in the entire school," Vallia says. "Kagami is also from a family of champion fencers and is part of the school team. She is a very fierce opponent that is known for having probably the mother of all poker faces."
"Luka is also the twin brother of our friend Juleka in our class," Lyon also tells Adrien. "He may be one of the nicest guys that you can ever meet, but his dueling is no joke. He and Juleka say that their mom is basically a pirate, so you can definitely say that they were both raised to fight for anything that they want."
"You two certainly know some unique people," Adrien could not help but smile.
"When you have been to as many places as we have, you tend to always be able to find interesting people to interact with," Vallia shrugged. "Otherwise, life would be so boring."
"Plus, we have a saying in our family," Lyon said. "Being normal is vastly overrated. In other words, we pride ourselves on being unique since normal is just boring."
Adrien was about to ask about their own class when he got a text on his phone. It was the Gorilla telling him that they needed to get going before Adrien's father learned where they were because of the tracking stuff he had on Adrien's phone.
"I have to go now, but I hope to see you two in school," Adrien quickly packed up all of his purchases and left the card shop.
"You are usually not that nice to new people," Vallia tells her brother.
"There is something different about him," Lyon replies. "Something in his eyes that tells me he is a lot more than just a model with an overprotective parent."
"Well, since he is a model, that does mean he has a lot of practice putting on masks and other things to hide how he really feels," Vallia says. "There is a reason why I hate that teen and child models are actually a thing. No teenager or kid should have to deal with the pressures that came from always having to try and be society's definition of 'perfect."
"He told me that he used to use his mother's cards when he would play with her," Lyon tells his sister.
"That definitely says a lot about him," Vallia said. "Some of the best types of dueling memories are made with the parents they have that also duel."
"It will definitely be fun to see what he can do with a deck of his own," Lyon admitted. "While he may be a little out of practice, he will most likely be quite the opponent once he gets used to his new deck."
"He chose the Elemental Heroes deck, right," Vallia asked as she watched her brother put away the other decks that Adrien had not chosen.
"That's right," Lyon tells her.
"That definitely is a deck that provides a challenge when truly mastered," Vallia said. "After all, Jaden Yuki is one of the most well-known duelists in the world."
"Not as much as Yugi Muto and his brother Atem, but Jaden also is a very good duelist," Lyon says.
"Do you think that we should have warned him about brats like Chloe and sore losers like Max," Vallia asked her twin.
Lyon shrugged. "There is no better way for him to learn than to learn the hard way."
Vallia giggled. "You can be really evil when you want to be."
"Not evil, but just a realist," Lyon stated. "Sometimes, you have to experience the downsides of life to really learn that they are out there."
"If there is one thing that I know about you, it is that you really love slapping people with reality," Vallia giggled again.
"Well, I see no reason for rose-tinted glasses," Lyon says. "I think that the world would be a lot better if reality is what people see and not just everything being sunshine and rainbows. It only leads to things like letting bullies run free, never standing up for yourself, and thinking that a slap on the wrist is the best way to make bad people change their ways."
"You really hate Bustier, don't you," Vallia knew who her brother was mostly talking about.
"The woman needs lessons on how to be a teacher," Lyon stated. "Plain and simple."
Vallia could not help but agree with her brother.
*****Meanwhile, In A Cliche Villain's Lair*****
A man stood in the center of the room, covered by shadows. In front of him was a truly adorable little creature. Floating in the air was a little lavender-colored creature with little purple wings and a darker purple swirl design on its forehead. But even as adorable as it was, the poor thing looked terrified of the man in front of it.
"So, you are the kwami of metamorphosis. Nooroo," the shadow man glared at the creature. "You would give me the power to turn others into superpowered human beings."
"Y...Yes," the now-named Nooroo stuttered out. "My power is empowerment and my power is used to create hero champions."
"Which means that it can also be used to create supervillains," the shadow man evilly smirked.
"But my power if not supposed to be used that way," Nooroo weakly protested.
"I am your master, so you will do as I tell you," the shadow man yelled at the creature.
"Y...Yes, master," Nooroo could not disobey the orders from the man that owns his card.
"The ladybug and black cat mystical cards are also in Paris, correct," the shadow man demanded an answer from Nooroo.
"Y...Yes, master," Nooroo answered. "I... I can sense them, but I can't tell their specific location. Just that they are in the city."
The man glared even more at the creature, making Nooroo float a little farther away from him. He had hoped that when his card was found, it would have been found by a good person. Unfortunately, that was not the case. And with a power like his, that was not a good thing.
"I will get my hands on them no matter what it takes," the shadow man declared. "Nooroo, dark wings rise!"
There was a flash of dark purple, sending out a wave of magic that was only felt by certain creatures. A floating little turtle creature, another kwami, shook as he felt it.
"Master," the creature cried out as it flew right to an old man that was in the room with him. "I felt Nooroo! He's in evil hands! What do we do!?!"
The old man turned to look at a gramophone that he had in the room.
"It is time, Wayzz," he told the kwami. "The ladybug and black must be activated to get back Nooroo and his mystical card. Or Paris will be doomed to very dark times."
Somewhere else in Paris, two other cards were glowing inside of the decks of two others. A glowing white card in one deck and a glowing pink card in another. It made the owners look at each other as they were well aware of what that meant. Two more kwami floated next to the two of them.
"Looks like we are going to have a very interesting year," the boy said.
"Beware, you two," a floating little wolf warned them. "Nooroo's power is very strong. You will need to prepare for really tough opponents."
"We will do our best," the girl says.
"Your best is what is going to be needed," a floating monarch butterfly kwami warned them. "Hopefully the ladybug and black cat will be out there as well."
The two humans nodded in agreement.

Original Superhero: Gold Siren
My first original superhero! My Patreon will be open to all those who want to see all others that I will post in the future as well as my original Pokemon! For all my heroes, I will post an image, what fandom they are for, their powers, and their origins.
Tumblr media
Name: White Hope
Alias: Gold Siren
Fandom: DC Universe
Loyalty: Teen Titans
Powers: Siren of pure heart. Has a hypnotic siren song and a golden sonic scream. He can manipulate sound energy, giving it a golden color when he does. He can feel the emotions of others, but also force his opponent to feel those emotions. He can also use sound energy to create force fields. With his wings, he can fly almost fast enough to beat the sound barrier.
Origin: He was born and raised on Siren Island. Much like the home of the Amazons, Themyscira, the sirens lived on their own island. Unlike how myths say that sirens are all female, the reality is that there are both male and female sirens. They lived peacefully for many years. They lived away from humans because they distrusted them. They were aware that when it came to humans, they would hate and fear the sirens simply because they were different. Humans always tended to fear anyone or anything that was different. Their points were proven when tales about them surfaced. Sailors that had passed by their island had spotted them. Some of them had also been unfortunate enough to hear their songs and be put under their spell. That resulted in rumors about them spread like wildfire. All of them about the sirens being horrible monsters who used their mystical songs to lure sailors to their deaths. They still had no idea where the cannibalism came from, but they were not shocked that humans made them out to be as monstrous as they could.
Even then, the sirens tried their best to not retaliate in any way. They did not want to make themselves appear to be similar to the rumors in any way. If anything, they tried using their songs to place sailors under their control to force them AWAY from the island. They didn't count on a siren that did not know any better.
It was the one siren who was brave enough to leave the island. She wanted to search for herbs that did not grow on their island. While she was out, she came across Heracles. Having heard of his heroic tales, she was instantly taken with him. Unknown to her, Heracles had heard the rumors of the sirens. And he believed them. So, he also believed sirens were monsters. He took advantage of one that obviously was too naive to know what he was really up to. And once he got to Siren Island, that was when things really went bad.
He went on a rampage, killing as many sirens as he could. It was a massacre. Sirens have not seen violence for so long that they barely knew how to respond other than to flee. Most of them did. A few stayed behind to try and fight against Heracles, wanting to give the others time to get away. Eventually, they had to take drastic measures. They combined their siren songs in order to cast a permanent hypnosis onto Heracles. They made him believe that he killed all the sirens and left their island unfit for any living creature.
After he left, the sirens all returned to their island. They decided to protect themselves more than ever. They cast barriers around their island to both keep unwanted visitors as well as hide their entire island from view. They secluded themselves more than even the Amazons did.
Over the centuries, the sirens evolved during their lives of seclusion. They became more than just beings of music. First was how they not only had their siren songs, but also gained sonic screams. They also got elemental abilities as well. No two sirens had the same element, but all of them were powerful. There were sirens of nature, storm, love, sun, and moon as well as sirens of fire, ice, water, and earth. There were many elements. Their siren songs also changed to match their elements. Such as how the siren of nature's song makes all plants around them rapidly grow. The siren of storm's song could summon or calm a giant powerful storm. And the siren of ice's song caused ice to spread around them at either a slow or rapid rate.
White is one of those sirens. He is the siren of pure heart. It meant that his musical powers had a golden color to them. He was also one of the few sirens that still had a regular hypnotizing siren song. But his most well-known ability would be his power to "listen" to the emotions of others.
White was the same as other sirens. He distrusted humans and liked them even less than he trusted them. But, that did not decrease his curiosity. He desired to adventure outside of Siren Island and see the world. His curiosity only got bigger when he learned that the princess of Themyscira had left her island and became a hero. So, he decided to follow in her footsteps and left.
He started as a silent and unknown observer. He did not want to be known. Especially since he knew that most humans, even if they did not believe sirens still existed, did believe that sirens were cannibalistic monsters. Plus, he also observed plenty of things he did not like about humans. Most of which was the amount of pollution and deforestation. So, it only made his dislike of humans grow.
But, he saw good things as well. He saw humans that actually tried to do good. Ones that were every day heroes for no reason other than wanting to help them. He also enjoyed seeing all of the things that were invented since sirens isolated themselves. He especially enjoyed watching movies by sneaking into theaters.
Most of all, he enjoyed watching the heroes. While he had no desire to become a hero, himself, he enjoyed watching them. Since he spent the most time in Jump City, he watched the Teen Titans the most. The team, at the time, consisting of Nightwing, Robin, Starfire, Raven, Beast Boy, and Blue Beetle. He enjoyed watching them because, by siren standards, he was also a teenager. He may be older than a human teenager chronologically, but he was biologically a teenager. So, he connected with the young heroes.
But, then came the day when he was forced to reveal himself. It was during another fight the Titans were having. This time, it was against a trio of terror. Villains by the names of Cinderblock, Plasmus, and Overload. Large monstrous villains made of stone, clay/green goo, and electricity. They were some of the toughest villains the Titans have ever faced. Especially because just on their own, they were dangerous. Together, they were a deadly combo. Even their heavy-hitters, Starfire and Raven, had trouble against the three of them.
White had been forced to reveal himself when he could not let someone die. Beast Boy had been thrown hard against a wall by a punch from Cinderblock. He had obviously been injured. The other Titans were being kept busy by the other two, so they were unable to help the shapeshifter. So, when Cinderblock went to deal what probably would have been a finishing blow, White floated down between them.
Unleashing his sonic scream, he was powerful enough to knock back and knock out the stone villain. With his help, the Titans easily defeated the other two.
When they got back to Titans Towers, White explained who he was and what he was. He was reluctant because Nightwing, Robin, and Blue Beetle were all regular humans. So, he made sure to point out that the myths about sirens were all wrong. But, he was shocked that the Titans didn't need to be assured about if he was good or evil. Since he saved Beast Boy's life, they knew he was good. Actions spoke a lot louder than words.
White did not become a Titan right away after that. He still distrusted and disliked them as well. He did help them a few more times. Especially against magical villains. It was during a battle against the Titan's biggest enemy, Slade, that he became a full member. Having helped the Titans against their nemesis, White realized how much he liked being one of them. So, the Titans accepted him as a full-time member of the Teen Titans.

Akumatized: Valid Or Not Part 2
This is part 2 of my previous list of every akumatized that has appeared so far. There will be four types of categories that they will be put into that say whether or not their reason for being akumatized was valid or not.
Categories:
1. Valid- The reason they were akumatized is completely understandable and could happen to anyone.
2. Semi-Valid- It is still understandable, but for things that are relatively normal. Like losing a contest, being rejected by a crush, or failing a test.
3. You Brought This On Yourself- Akumatized over something that was basically their fault to begin with and is not valid at all.
4. What The Hell- An akumaization that makes no sense at all and most likely not really much of a reason to be akumatized in the first place.
Season 4:
Luka Couffaine/Truth- Valid. Was rightfully upset because of the number of lies he was told by Marinette. And most likely also upset that even while she was dating him, Marinette was still interested in Adrien.
Kagami Tsurugi/Lies- Valid. Was rightfully upset after she caught Adrien in lies he had to tell because of his duties as Cat Noir. Wanted to get rid of all the lies of the world.
Alya Cesaire/Juleka Couffaine/Alix Kubel/Rose Lavillant/Mylene Haprele/Gang of Secrets- Valid. They were snapped at by their close friend even when they just wanted to help. They wanted to learn her secret so that they could help her.
Xavier Ramier/Mr.Pigeon 72- Valid. Was rightfully upset because Bob Roth fired him while also going back on his word that he would help make a pigeon sanctuary.
Harry Clown/Psycomedian- Valid. Wanted to prove that he could do more than just comedy while was also upset that Bob rejected his superhero idea for a movie.
Wang Fu/Furious Fu- Valid. Even when he had no memory of being the guardian, he was still confronted by Su Han and had his walking stick stolen. Su Han had also insulted the woman he loved.
Zoe Lee/Sole Crusher- Valid. Was bullied by Chloe for having an artistic side while was also given bad advice from Andre that she had to hide who she really was and change in order to be accepted by the family.
Chloe Bourgeois/Queen Banana- You Brought This On Yourself. Was rightfully taken off a movie she tried to take over to give herself an even bigger ego. Falsely believed "her" role was taken from her by Zoe.
Gabriel Agreste/The Collector- You Brought This On Yourself. Created a senti-monster of himself to akumatize. He also wanted to punish Felix for stealing one of the family rings.
Andre Bourgeois/Malediktator and Mega Leech- You Brought This On Yourself. Refused to listen to logical reasoning about how his plans would ruin the environment and wanted everyone to just go along with his plans.
Juleka Couffaine/Reflekta- Valid. Felt guilty over revealing Rose's secret, which caused everyone to treat Rose differently even though she knew Rose wanted to keep her secret so that no one would treat her that way.
Jagged Stone and Anarka Couffaine/Guitar Villain and Captain Hardrock- Semi-Valid. Both were convinced that the other was responsible for their break-up, but they also refused to communicate properly and instead just yelled at each other.
Audrey Bourgeois/Style Queen- Semi-Valid. Was humiliated on live television, but she also mostly deserves it for being a horrible person.
Andre The Ice Cream Man/Glaciator- You Brought This On Yourself. He tried to force his own beliefs about Ladybug and Cat Noir being "meant to be" while also tried to force Marinette and Cat Noir apart.
Markov/Robostus- Valid. Was purposely given a virus that caused him to become angry so that he could be akumatized.
Nino Lahiffe/Rocketear- Semi-Valid. Was upset because he thought a hero he admired was flirting with his girlfriend, but he also did not think to ask his girlfriend about it.
Alec Cataldi/Wishmaker- Valid. Had been forced to give up his own childhood dream while also felt bad for treating people horribly through his TV career.
Rolland Dupain/Simpleman- Semi-Valid. Was forced to look after four unruly kids while was also upset at the "overly complicated" world. But, he also refused to simply accept the world's advancements.
Sabine Cheng/Qilin- Valid. Was wrongfully accused of a crime by an obviously racist man and wrongfully arrested by the corrupt Raincomprix.
Dupain-Cheng family/Dearest Family- Semi-Valid. Rolland wanted to control Marinette, Tom wanted to protect Marinette no matter what, Gina wanted to give Marinette all the freedom she wanted, and Sabine wanted Marinette to make her own choices.
Bob Roth/Moolak- What The Hell. He lost one coin and was akumatized over it. I honestly don't have much to say about this one.
Adrien Agreste/Ephemeral- Valid. Was taken advantage of by his father when he akumatized him while he was vulnerable from seeing his mother's body.
Chloe Bourgeois/Penalteam- You Brought This On Yourself. Did not want to play soccer simply because she did not want to get her hands dirty.
Froggy/Risk- Semi-Valid. Wanted to prove to his overprotective parents that he could ride his bike without training wheels or a helmet, but was still a little kid that needed to wear a helmet.
Season 5:
Tomoe Tsurugi/Ikari Dozen- You Brought This On Yourself. Allowed herself to be akumatized in order to test the Alliance Rings.
Denis Damocles/Darker Owl- You Brought This On Yourself. Wanted to be the only superhero Paris needed, but was still just an old man with no actual hero skills.
Veronique/Manipula- Valid. Had her best exhibit and her museum shut down because the mayor bent to the will of his brat of a daughter simply because she did not want the heroes she hated to be honored.
Natalie Sancoeur/Safari- Valid. Wanted to take the miraculous for herself to end Gabriel's obsession and keep Adrien safe from his father.
Jalil Kubel/Pharaoh- Semi-Valid. Missed his sister and wanted her to come home, refusing to believe she would leave their family willingly. But, refused to listen to his father telling him the truth and chose to listen to online hero-haters.
Andre The Ice Cream Man/Glaciator- You Brought This On Yourself. Still wanted to force Ladybug and Cat Noir together while also still wanting Cat Noir and Marinette apart.
Kouki/Kiku- Semi-Valid. Was embarrassed by a picture posted of his defeat at Nora's hands, but also was a little sexist over being defeated by a girl.
Chloe Bourgeois- You Brought This On Yourself. Willingly got akumatized just because she was prevented from throwing a tantrum by her sister.
Kagami Tsurugi/Ryukomori- Valid. Was lied to by Lila while also being forced by her mother's teachings that she needed to be nothing but perfect.
Bob Roth/Gold Record- You Brought This On Yourself. Was rightfully called out over his manipulation of Kitty Section with Luka refusing to bend to his will.
Le Chien Kim/Dark Humor- Semi-Valid. Was rightfully called out for cruel pranks, but he honestly believed that his pranks were harmless.
A.D.A/Bugfighter- Valid. Had her technology manipulated in order to make her believe she had lost her pilot.
Kagami Tsurugi/Riposte Prime- Semi-Valid. Was manipulated by Lila into wanting to protect Adrien from Marinette, but also completely forgot everything good she had seen about Marinette with her own eyes.
Sabrina Raincomprix/Vanisher- Semi-Valid. Was so focused on keeping her toxic "friendship" with Chloe that she went through with a plan she and Lila made to frame Marinette.
Tomoe Tsurugi/Matagi Gozen- Semi-Valid. Wanted to rescue her daughter after she was kidnapped by Felix, but also wanted complete control over her daughter.
Lila Rossi/Hoaxer- You Brought This On Yourself. Wanted revenge against Marinette while also wanted to get back at Gabriel for replacing her with Kagami as an Alliance avatar.
Juleka Couffaine/Reflekta- Valid. Was going to be forced to repeat the school year because of Lila and Chloe's fake career forms.
Caline Bustier/Miss. Sans-Culotte- Valid. Wanted to end the corruption that was centered around Chloe and her father.
Chloe Bourgeois/Queen Mayor- You Brought This On Yourself. Willingly akumatized so that she could be the only one in Paris with power and could act without consequences.
Gabriel Agreste/Nightormentor- You Bought This On Yourself. Akumatized himself to give the world nightmares for his and Tomoe's Alliance plan.
Bertrand King/King of Plastic- You Brought This On Yourself. Rightfully called out for the pollution his products caused, but wanted to remain rich because of his plastic products.

My other Miraculous Ladybug OC. Vallia Garden, aka Beautifly. The holder of the Greek butterfly miraculous. Her miraculous is a crystal butterfly cuff bracelet on her right wrist. Her weapon is a large daisy flower made of metal at the end of a thorn vine-like whip. It is like a combo of a saw-blade, whip, and Captain America's shield. Her power is Nature's Heart, which allows her to summon a flower which has a different magical effect depending on the flower.

My own fanart pic of Percy Jackson as a merman! I, personally, love the idea of how Percy, as a son of Poseidon, would have the power to turn into a merman whenever he was in the water. Especially when in the ocean.
I have opened up my own Patreon! I will be posting fanart there, but my specialty will be original Pokemon as well as original superheroes for a number of different fandoms! I will also post exclusive fanfiction there when I can as well! Thank you to all those who join!

Season Five Feelings
As someone who has been into this show for a while, I am sure that I was not the only person who did not have high hopes for season five. Especially since after seasons 3 and 4, the show itself had really gone downhill. Especially in terms of character development and storyline.
But, as I watched season 5, it actually became one of my favorite seasons after the first two. There was actual character development, there were moments where characters other than Marinette got time to shine, and we finally got somewhere when it came to the love square.
I will first be honest. I have never been a fan of the love square. Marinette has always been a creepy stalker who seemed to care more about Adrien as the "perfect model" than she cared about Adrien as the "regular person." Also, I never liked how even when she tried to date Luka, she still never gave up on Adrien and that was extremely unfair to Luka since he is by far one of the best characters on the show.
But, given that season 5 had actual character development, the love square actually became something I enjoyed. First, there was the adorable reversal where Adrien liked Marinette and Marinette liked Cat Noir. Gave a lot of "Marichat" fans what they wanted given that it is the corner of the love square that people tend to enjoy the most. It also lead to both Marinette and Adrien going into slight depression because of how their hero lives continued to prevent them from having meaningful relationships with anyone as civilians. But, after the two of them actually got together, without any Cat Blanc or Ephemeral stuff happening, they actually became a really good couple. Marinette was less of a stalker, Adrien started standing up to his father, and the two became more in sync as heroes.
Also, if there is one thing that I have seen a lot, it is people disagreeing with how Lila and Chloe's characters were handled. Honestly, I don't see anything wrong with them. While I get that people were probably excited by Chloe's redemption story and were against how it was "taken from her," I never cared much. Like, even during her "redemption" arc, Chloe was still Chloe. She still bullied others, still got people akumatized, and still treated everyone horribly. There was always the chance that she would turn worse rather than get better. With Lila, I think it is quite realistic that she is as bad as she is. Like, I understand how there are a lot of people that want her to have a reason for her being as bad as she is. But, that is not the case for everyone. Sometimes, people are simply bad without really having a reason. Lila is a classic case of a sociopath or a psychopath with narcissistic personality disorder. She literally can not accept anyone going against her in any way. Which is why she targets Marinette and Ladybug for such petty reasons.
As for each episode, allow me to share my feelings for each one.
Evolution: Probably the episode would have had the most fanfics about if it had not been the first episode of the season. Not only was it fun to see little flashbacks from previous episodes, but it was the start of development for other characters beyond Marinette. Such as how Cat Noir was allowed the rabbit miraculous to duel-wield as Rabbit Noir. Actually giving him a moment where he was treated as Ladybug's partner and not her sidekick. Also, it showed that despite the golden opportunity, Gabriel would choose his obsession with the heroes over everything else. After all, he could have easily given his past self the fix-it spell for the peacock miraculous but instead chose to go after Ladybug and Cat Noir. Plus, I personally also enjoyed Natalie giving him the "you're an idiot" talk. Also, we got the moment of Alix gaining the rabbit miraculous, even if it also took her out of the show, for the most part, to keep Monarch from getting the miraculous back. It was nice to see Alix's father approve of her leaving rather than taking Alix away from her life without letting him know. Multiplication: This episode was the first that started the rest of the real plot of the season. First, it showed the heroes traveling to London to confront Felix about both his betrayal as well as to get the peacock miraculous. His mother lied about him not being there even though the episode ended with him being next to her and then introducing himself to the peacock's kwami. Then, it showed how the other characters, and people in Paris in general, were adjusting to try and keep Monarch from being able to akumatize them. Such as Mylene and Ivan taking up yoga and Alya and Nino taking boxing lessons from Nora. It was shown that a few weeks had passed since Monarch gained the other miraculous, making people originally believe he gave up. Until the attack by Kagami's mom, who had also been given the power of the mouse miraculous. After she had been defeated, she was shown to not have the actual miraculous. This led to the reveal of how she was both aware of Gabriel being Monarch on top of revealing they were designing "smart rings" to give akumas specific miraculous powers without having to give them the actual miraculous. However, my favorite part was Adrien getting his best character development moment when he confronted his father and said he did not want to model anymore. Which, much to his shock, his father agreed to. Even if Gabriel only agreed because he was still using Adrien's image for the Alliance rings.
Destruction: Another episode that was almost like it could have been a fanfic. It was about Monarch trying to force the kwami to lead him to Marinette/Ladybug because he was ordering them to take him to The Guardian. It leads him into what was basically an overly complicated scavenger hunt around Paris that eventually takes him to the wax museum. But, it was then revealed the entire thing was a trap. Ladybug had been prepared in case Monarch, when he was Hawkmoth/Shadow Moth, ever got his hands on the kwami. So, she set up the entire scavenger hunt so that she would know where he would end up and they could ambush him. I thought it was great to have a moment of Cat Noir having actual pity as well as some trauma over Monarch forcing him to use his power on him so that he could get away. Plus, it's also fun to see the heroes be able to plan ahead the way they did to almost be able to defeat him. Especially since there was no way either could predict that he would be so desperate not to lose that he would allow himself to be cataclysmed. This episode also had the moment of when Gabriel and Tomoe changed the miraculous into rings so that they could move forward with their plan. It was great to see the plot slowly unfolding.
Jubilation: Usually, the introduction of a new character this late would not work out. But, I actually ended up really liking Socqueline. It showed an unseen part of Marinette's character when we meet an old friend of hers. Plus, it was also revealed that another usage of the Alliance rings was to track people. That way, if either Ladybug or Cat Noir wore a ring, the rings would detect their faster movements, which would reveal who they were to Monarch. While it was a little unrealistic that only Ladybug and Cat Noir would not wear rings, it makes more sense for Marinette and Adrien since Adrien was shown to not like that his image was still being used and Marinette was shown to not really like Alliance in general. And they were not the only ones since Ivan and Mylene were revealed to not wear rings, either. I also liked that Ladybug and Cat Noir chose to come out of the illusion that the power of the pig miraculous put them in. It shows that they were willing to put aside their own desires to stop the akuma.
Determination: It was not my favorite episode, to be honest. While it has been shown that Luka and Kagami were supportive of Adrien and Marinette getting together, this episode took it a bit too far where the two tricked them into coming to the museum and then locking them in a room. While this had already been done in the New York special, this time it was interrupted by a real akuma instead of the fake one that Jess and Aeon created. The episode also showed how much more hatred Chloe had for the heroes since she was using her father to keep the hero exhibit from being opened. A lot of people disagree with how Chloe has been done, but I have never liked her. Plus, her irrational hatred of the heroes has been shown before. It made more sense for her to hate the museum because I doubt they would have had a Queen Bee statue. I also enjoy that even this far into the show, there are still characters that become akumas for the first time.
Passion: Personally, this is one of my favorite episodes of the season. I really enjoyed the character development of Natalie. She stays at Agreste Mansion solely because she wants to protect Adrien from Gabriel. She even got akumatized on purpose, basically tricking him because she was going to take the miraculous for herself and make a wish to once again keep Adrien safe from Gabriel. Plus, another great part of the episode was Cat Noir taking charge of his and Ladybug's partnership. He was able to use the kwami to switch their miraculous so that he could become Mister Bug and she could become Lady Noir. He made the choice because the paralyzing arrows that Natalie/Safari was using against them would search specifically for Ladybug and Cat Noir, not Mister Bug and Lady Noir. I also enjoyed seeing how much Adrien did care for Natalie. He treats her as a mother figure and going to her for advice on how to ask Marinette out.
Reunion: There are two great things about this episode. The first being that we got to meet a previous holder of the ladybug miraculous, Joan of Arc. Marinette had gone to her for advice since she was the only other previous holder who was involved with that era's black cat holder. The second was how heartfelt it was to see Jalil missing his sister so much that he was willing to believe anything that could explain why she left because didn't want to believe she left her family willingly. He wanted the truth, even if he had originally gone to the wrong source by believing online chats that were filled with people going the "Monarch might want to use the wish for something good and Ladybug and Cat Noir might be the real bad guys" route. It was really funny to also see Joan try to fight Pharaoh, only to pass right through him because she was not actually there. Plus, when Plagg gave Adrien his own kwagatama, I was literally like "Finally!"
Illusion: Another great thing about the season was that civilians were also trying to fight back against Monarch. Nino had formed a resistance group made up of the class and their friends. They wanted to try and figure out how the akumas were gaining miraculous powers without having the miraculous. Only, they had no idea Lila eavesdropped on them and revealed their plan to Gabriel. It brings me to how I enjoy that Lila was becoming more frequent and less of someone who randomly appears in episodes to cause trouble. She was becoming an actual villain rather than a small-time bad guy. It was a villain's own form of character development.
Elation: I had said earlier, this season had a reversal of the love square. And this episode showcased their changed feelings. Probably the one thing I enjoyed the most about the episode was Marinette reaching her limit with other people telling her who she should love. It was a very human moment that also showed the downside of her falling for Cat Noir since it is dangerous to be with a hero. And despite knowing how dangerous it was, she still loved him. Cat Noir also had his own moment of knowing that it was dangerous for him to love Marinette as a hero. They both did not change their feelings, but they accepted how dangerous their feelings were. It was a great character moment for both of them.
Transmission (The Kwamis’ Choice – Part 1) & Deflagration (The Kwamis’ Choice – Part 2): I thought this two-part episode was a great show of Marinette and Adrien finally allowing themselves to make a selfish choice. Tikki and Plagg had taken it upon themselves to take away their miraculous so that both of them could lead normal lives and have their own love lives. I think it was a great moment to show that even heroes can go through difficult times. I also like how the plot device that was previously shown, the rings tracking the movements of their wearers, was used against instead of being forgotten. That was how Monarch learned the identities of Scarabella and Kitty Noir. Also, the episode included more of the Resistance that Nino started. I definitely enjoyed seeing them fight against Monarch rather than giving up hope once it was known that the new heroes had been defeated. Though, it was funny that while fighting against Monarch, Kim, Ivan, and Rose dogpiled to keep him from moving. The fact that Rose also jumped onto the villain despite being the only one who is almost as small and short as Alix was so funny to me. Plus, despite Marinette and Adrien basically going back to square one by the end of the episodes, they did not choose to go back. They decided to continue to try a relationship despite being heroes again.
Perfection: As I previously pointed out, I enjoyed that Lila was becoming an actual villain. This time, it showed how she was able to trick more than just the class since she was able to lie and trick Kagami. I did feel really bad for Kagami because she made to believe that no one really cared about her. That even when she strived for perfection, it wasn't enough. The plan for helping Kagami break out of Monarch's influence was really sweet. Especially since I enjoyed seeing Socqueline again. And while a little corny, I also think that Adrien's song to Marinette was really sweet, with funny moments as Max, Nino, and Zoe provided the backup vocals. A very random trio.
Migration: Luka is definitely one of my favorite characters. Not to mention also a fan favorite. So, having an episode focused on him was great. Anarka was also HILARIOUS with how many times she threw Bob Roth off the Liberty. And while I hate his character, I did like how Bob got an actual akumaization this time rather than the opening scene one that we got in the Ephemeral episode. I also enjoyed that it was finally brought up how Luka is aware of both Ladybug and Cat Noir's identities from back in the Wishmaker episode. Despite how it forced Luka to have to leave Paris, that was a realistic moment while showing Luka's selflessness when it came to protecting the heroes. Plus, the fact that he gets quality father-son time is a great thing for him that he deserves.
Derision: As someone who does really like Kim, I both loved and hated this episode at the same time. The parts that I loved were showing more about Marinette/the class's past, showing the reason why Marinette and Socqueline had been so close, and also having Adrien end his "friendship" with Chloe for real. I also enjoyed seeing the reason why Marinette was so focused on learning everything about Adrien. As much as I think it doesn't excuse her stalker behavior, it does explain it. I also enjoyed Mylene's line about how just because Chloe's mom left her, it doesn't excuse Chloe's behavior the way everyone says that it does. Chloe's brattiness is her choice and her choice alone. While I liked the additions to Kim's character, what I didn't like was how he was turned into an unknowing bully. Like, he didn't mean to be a bully, but he was one. He took jokes too far, including using Marinette's fear of bugs against her after Chloe tricked him. However, it did explain why Kim had sometimes gone along with Chloe in the past before she broke his heart in Dark Cupid. Such as going along with Chloe and Sabrina when Chloe got Alya suspended in Lady Wifi. I am glad that he learned his lesson by the end.
Intuition: Just like with the power of the rabbit, the power of the snake was another that probably a lot of people thought that Monarch would use a lot. And it was shown that he did use it. Very often. I liked seeing scenes from previous episodes, showing how much he used the power. Plus, it was another example of something from a previous episode not being ignored. This time being the cataclysm scar from Destruction. It showed how he basically was speeding up his injury because time would move for him while it would reverse for everyone else. Also, gotta love Natalie and her once again basically saying "You're an idiot" to Gabriel.
Protection: I know how often Kagami and Luka are used in fanfics as friends of Marinette who see through Lila's lies easily. But, I actually like how Kagami also falls for Lila's lies since it shows both Lila as a threat on top of showing that even someone like Kagami has weaknesses. What I didn't like was how this episode basically ignores Kagami having already learned from Perfection how much others, including Marinette and Adrien, care about her. Another great part was Adrien once against standing up to his father, who had teamed up with Tomoe to get Adrien and Kagami forced back together. Adrien chose not to listen to them, choosing to continue pursuing Marinette. He was really growing into his own character.
Adoration: Lila and Chloe had shown to have teamed up in the previous season. A great detail that was shown to not have been ignored in this new season. This time with them teaming up to get back at Marinette by getting Sabrina akumatized into Vanisher again, with the added addition of the power of the dog miraculous, to frame Marinette for theft. I enjoyed showing how awful these two are on their own with them basically using Monarch to their own advantage rather than the other way around. While I have always liked the inclusion of LGBTQ+ characters, I didn't like how Zoe was made yet another person interested in Marinette. If they really wanted more LGBTQ+ characters, then they could easily have Juleka and Rose or Marc and Nathaniel be actual known couples rather than having them only be known as that through speculation and guesswork. It just makes it seem like they try and force Marinette to appear like a Mary Sue-type character with how many people they have fall for her.
Emotion: Felix is another character that I feel got a lot of much-needed character development. While the entire idea of this episode came out of nowhere, it shows that Felix was more than just a regular villain. He was actually more like an anti-hero, like Red Hood and Harley Quinn. I enjoyed seeing him try and protect Adrien and Kagami by making those who control them vanish. It was also a realistic take on how even when both Adrien and Kagami are aware of the fact their parents are controlling, they still love them. Kagami showing she was even willing to attack a miraculous-wielding "bad guy" to get her mother back. I also enjoyed how Felix ended up changing because he could see how much he upset Adrien with his actions. But, Felix obviously was shown to be a very complex character that I was really looking forward to learning about more.
Pretension: More character development for both Marinette and Felix. Not only was it great to see Marinette standing up to Gabriel, but Felix showed his growth by becoming interested in Kagami. And not just because he liked her, but also because he did not want her to be controlled by her mother. Also, despite not trusting Felix, Kagami learned enough about Felix and why he does what he does that she was able to convince Ladybug and Cat Noir to give him another chance. That allowed them to be able to defeat Kagami's akumatized mother, with Felix allowed to get away. Felix and Kagami were quickly becoming a favorite couple of mine. The way they gave each other development was really good. Also, I enjoyed Adrien now having to deal with his own home-based conflict when Gabriel reveals he is going to demand Adrien go to London right after the end of school. It gives Adrien another reason to start standing up to his father.
Revelation: Lila is shown to really have no real version of herself. Not even with her own family since it is revealed she is juggling three different mothers/lives with her lies. I actually like that detail since it shows how there is really no "real" version of her. She also had really been pushed to the edge in this episode as Gabriel had replaced her with Kagami as an Alliance avatar. Part of which was probably because he wanted to make her angry to akumatize her, but mostly because he no longer found any use for her. However, I liked that it backfired on him since when he did akumatize her, she used her powers to force Natalie to take pictures of all of Gabriel's secrets and send them to her. While others might question how she was able to do that, she still had her free will because she was willingly akumatized. Just like when she was akumatized into Chameleon. I also like how Adrien apologized to Marinette for his "high road" advice. He now knew that Lila was a lot more dangerous than a simple liar. He was another great growth of his character. One thing that I will never understand is why they allowed Lila to run for class representative simply because she did not get the chance before. I mean, it was almost the end of the year, so there wouldn't be much point to have a change. My best guess is simply because they needed a plot device for the next episode.
Confrontation: And I was right about them needing a plot device for the next episode. After all, if they had not allowed Lila and Chloe to take over as class representative and deputy, then they would not have been able to throw away the original school/career forms to replace them with things none of the class would be interested in. After all, even if they replaced the forms while Marinette was still the representative, there is no way that Marinette and Alya would have shown the forms at the school meeting since they would know someone faked them. Also, while I didn't like how Damocles was forgiven for all his past mistakes, I did like that he finally stood up to the mayor. Especially when allowing the class to redo their forms rather than letting the mayor tell him to not allow that because it would "make the school look bad." The added power of the magical charms was also really cool! Lila finally being exposed was also really satisfying, even if it didn't end up doing much since Chloe used her power to keep herself and Lila in school and away from the consequences. But, my favorite part was actually the reveal that Juleka has a speech impediment, which resulted in her previously being held back a year. It was a great explanation as to why Luka was not also in the same school with them even after it was revealed that he and Juleka were twins.
Collusion: It turns out that Damocles' no longer being the principal did not mean much in the long run. Even with him being replaced by Mendeleiev, she also bent to the will of Chloe and the mayor. Even firing Miss.Bustier for no reason other than her trying to stand up for Marinette after Chloe faked getting slapped. As much as I hated how low Monarch was willing to go to akumatized a pregnant woman, I did like how it was one fight that was handled with no violence. Just like when Rose first became Pigella and helped defeat Reflekta without any need for fighting because of her power. However, I honestly did not like the episode much since it really drove home how Chloe literally can get away with ANYTHING! Like, how could it ever be possible for a TEENAGER to become mayor even if her father had been the previous mayor? Even with the usual TV logic, it STILL doesn't make sense.
Revolution: The only thing that makes even less sense than Chloe being the mayor is people being OKAY with her being the mayor and making Ladybug/Cat Noir outlaws along with Monarch. Like, the heroes have been working hard, day and night, to defeat Monarch and his akumas. With a lot of those akumas being CHLOE'S fault. Yet, that is forgotten by so many people when they agree with her decisions. Also, if Sabrina had not already broken her "friendship" with Chloe by exposing her and Lila's plan, then she DEFINITELY would have done it when Chloe replaced the entire police force, including Sabrina's own dad, with robots. Not to mention ruining school by forcing Mendeleiev to "teach" Chloe's fake version of history, which was her family being responsible for everything good in the world. However, I am SO glad that she FINALLY experiences consequences for her actions. Her father finally stands up to her, he kicks her out of Paris to allow Chloe's mother to have full control, and not even Marinette allows Chloe to deal her any more emotional pain. Chloe has reached rock bottom and she knows it. Also, Adrien and Marinette finally getting their kiss will always be adorable!
Representation: I will be honest and admit that I have never liked the whole "Adrien is a sentimonster" theory. But, then I got this episode that revealed how it was true, not to mention Felix and Kagami also being sentimonsters as well. That was definitely not expected. However, it does explain why Felix and Adrien are identical even though their mothers are identical twins. After all, identical cousins are not a real thing. I also really enjoyed the way that Felix and Kagami revealed their origins to Marinette. Telling it as a fairy tale with a sentimonster called "Once Upon A Time." It was fun and creative. I also loved how Cat Noir got to defeat an akuma all on his own, with help from the Resistance. Plus, since I do like Kim, I enjoyed how he was the one who went right to Cat Noir to help bring him out of his nightmare. I also felt SO bad for Adrien and Kagami since their parents wanted to control them so much that they forced them into plain locked rooms since both had escaped their previous new rooms in London.
. Conformation (The Final Day – Part 1) & Re-creation (The Final Day – Part 2): Big season finales have always been a favorite of mine! And this one was REALLY big! First, my heart went out to Adrien because he was constantly being tormented by his nightmare while also locked in his room with no way to seek comfort. Second, I really enjoyed the other heroes from other parts of the world, the United Heroes and Lady Dragon, coming to Paris to help in the final fight. It brings the heroes from the specials even more into the world of Miraculous rather than keeping them as just characters in the specials. Gabriel and Tomoe's plan was honestly brilliant! While Scarlet Moth failed to overwhelm the heroes, this was a global-scale epidemic that was pretty much a guarantee to overwhelm them. If it had not been for Marinette being able to learn who Gabriel really was. Her fusing the black cat and ladybug together was really cool to see! As well as bringing back the detail of the upgrades she and Cat Noir got from "growing up" in the Revolution episode since she used both Lucky Charm and Cataclysm several times without changing back. I also enjoyed how it didn't focus on just her showdown with Monarch, but also her friends dealing with the Alliance soldiers. Especially since Rose being the one to tackle Ivan to the ground when he became a soldier will always be funny to me! Rose is a violent angel and I am here for it! Only three things bothered me about the episodes. One, Marinette trusting Gabriel enough to de-transform in front of him just because he was showing a moment of weakness. That was NOT smart at all. Especially since he had already sown that he was pretty much completely insane with desperation by that point. Two, the fact that Marinette kept her "promise" to Gabriel to not reveal who he was to Adrien. If he ever finds out the truth, he is going to be DESTROYED! Not to mention feel incredibly betrayed by Marinette. Adrien has every right to know who his father was! And three, they seriously took Adrien/Cat Noir out of the final battle! That is NOT RIGHT! He has been a hero from day one and yet they do not even allow him to take part in the final battle! That is NOT okay!
Action: I don't honestly have much to say about this episode. It is simply one of those regular "children's show" episodes that are about teaching kids an important lesson. A lot of kid shows usually have an episode like it. The most I can say is that I enjoyed how it was another example of Adrien standing up to his father.

This Is Halloween
Lila Salt and Chloe Salt. I do not know if France celebrates Halloween or not, but this idea was too good to pass up. It is a little late for Halloween, but I still wanted to post it.
Tumblr media
"Why do you love Halloween so much, dude," Nino could not help but ask Adrien as they walked to school.
"I grew up on Disney, Nino," Adrien reminds his best friend. "They have some of the best Halloween movies outside the horror genre. Not to mention the best Halloween songs."
"You are never gonna stop loving Disney, are you, dude," Nino chuckled.
"Nope," Adrien smirked as he popped the 'P.' "And you can not blame me regarding their Halloween movies. Hocus Pocus, Halloweentown, Twitches, Under Wraps, Nightmare Before Christmas, Haunted Mansion, Girl VS Monster. Nothing says Halloween, to me, like a good Disney Halloween movie!"
"You are probably the only person I have ever met who likes Halloween for the movies rather than for the candy," Nino laughed.
"Can you even imagine my dad letting me go out and get free candy," Adrien raised an eyebrow.
"That is... a very good point that I really should have seen coming," Nino said.
Adrien had taken full advantage of the fact that it was Halloween. His father could take a lot of things away from him, but it would most definitely NOT be Halloween. So, he had chosen a character from one of his favorite anime, Naruto. With his blond hair, he could not imagine being any other character. So, he was wearing the classic Naruto orange and blue jacket with a white collar, a white swirl with a tassel on the left side, and a red Uzumaki crest on the back. He also wore orange pants with a shuriken holster on his right knee, blue sandals, and a blue forehead protector.
Nino had chosen a different character. He had chosen Cyborg from the 2003 Teen Titans cartoon. Mostly because, in Nino's own words, Teen Titans Go is a crime against the Teen Titans. He, with the help of Alya and Marinette, used makeup to make the robotic half of his face. In contrast, Marinette used her fashion design skills to make more realistic-looking robotic arms and boots that did not keep him from being able to use his hands/fingers. He had already revealed his costume was approved by his little brother, which said something since Chris was a very tough critic.
Soon, the two of them walked into the school. Everyone around them was in costume, including the teachers. They made their way up to their classroom.
"Girl, how much makeup did you use," they heard Alya say as soon as they came in.
"Don't even get me started," Marinette giggled. "I will probably be in the shower all night to get this stuff off."
Looking over at the two girls, they definitely could see what the two were talking about. Marinette had decided to take advantage of her blue hair by becoming Lapis Lazuli from Steven Universe. Her entire face, as well as other visible parts of her skin, was covered with blue makeup to really make her look like the character. She used long blue gloves and blue tights to make her arms and legs also look blue along with a blue dress exactly like the one Lapis wore on the show before her look changed in the final season.
Alya, on the other hand, chose a much more simple look. She was dressed up as Valerie Gray from Danny Phantom. She was wearing a yellow camisole and orange skirt with yellow socks and white tennis shoes. She also wore an orange headband, golden earrings, an orange necklace, and two bracelets on each wrist, one golden and the other orange.
"Lookin' good, Red Huntress," Nino flirted with his girlfriend as he put his arm around her shoulders.
"Did you seriously just expose my identity," Alya faked offense at Nino 'exposing' Valerie's anti-hero identity of Red Huntress.
"Hey, if I can't hide, then neither can you," Nino countered, using the fact that Cyborg can not hide who he is to his advantage.
"I can hide," Adrien declared as he put his hands together in a 'ninja' pose. "I am from the Hidden Leaf Village, so hiding is what I do best!"
"You really love getting into character, don't you," Marinette giggled.
"I can't help it when it is something as fun as this," Adrien grinned brightly. "I love Halloween!"
"Something that has been made clear pretty much since the end of September," Nino chuckled.
"I am mostly just surprised that your dad actually allowed you out of the house while wearing that," Alya giggled.
"My dad can control me any other day of the year, but I draw the limit at Halloween," Adrien declared.
"If only you had this confidence when dealing with your father every other day of the year," Lyon said as he and Vallia walked into the classroom.
The Greek twins had also embraced the holiday.
Lyon had chosen an anime character just like Adrien. Only, he was dressed as Gray Fullbuster from Fairy Tail. He was dressed in Gray's look from the first couple of episodes. Which was a long white coat with dark blue outlines and a high collar, dark green pants, and black boots that almost reached his knees.
Vallia, on the other hand, took a more elegant approach to Halloween. She had grown up with the Rainbow Magic fairy books by Daisy Meadows. So, she chose to dress up as India the Moonstone Fairy. She let down her hair and placed a single pink rose in her hair. She also wore a strapless white dress that reached down to just above her knees. All over her dress were spots of pink and blue with another pink rose being on the top right part of her dress. She was also wearing pink ballet flats since she could not find shoes that matched the ones the fairy was wearing on the book cover. She carried a fake wand while also wearing fake fairy wings.
"You take your whole 'Ice Prince' thing to a new level, Lyon," Alya commented.
"I am icy and I know it," Lyon smirked. "Just be glad I went with the version of Gray that actually has clothes on."
"I am sure there would be a lot of people that wouldn't mind you being that version of him," Nino chuckled. "Present company included."
"I would be jealous, but it's not like I can deny it," Alya laughed.
Lyon blushed, not used to people saying stuff like that to him. Sure, he knew when people had crushes on him, especially gold-digger girls who wanted access to his and Vallia's family fortune, but not in the way their friends were currently acting. Course, he knew it was all in good fun and teasing.
"You guys are going to ruin my brother's 'Ice Prince' persona if you keep this up," Vallia tells them.
"That blush ruins it enough without us saying else," Adrien smirked.
"I hate all of you," Lyon glared at them.
"Love you too, Lyon," Marinette giggled.
The rest of the class soon came into the classroom. All of them were in costume as well.
The girls were some of the first to arrive. Juleka, to the surprise of no one, was dressed up as Wednesday Addams from the Jenna Ortega show. Complete with a fake hand on her shoulder to represent Thing. Rose, also to the surprise of no one, came dressed as Princess Peach from Mario. She even wore extensions to make her hair longer to match the character. Alix was dressed up as Lavagirl from the classic Shark Boy and Lavagirl movie. Like Marinette, she took advantage of her hair. Mylene had channeled her dad and chose to dress up like a mime. She even chose to wear a black and white wig to go with her costume. Sabrina, who had been becoming more independent, embraced her own inner anime nerd by dressing up as Misty from Pokemon. She even wore Pokeball-shaped earrings.
The boys arrived close to the girls. Ivan decided to embrace his "title" as a "gentle giant" by dressing up as another "gentle giant" from TV, DJ from Total Drama. He even had a bunny stuffed animal with him to represent the bunny DJ adopted in the first season. Max wanted to throw it back in the face of all those who call him a nerd by dressing up as Steve Urkel. He was ready to start saying "Did I do that?" Nathaniel, who was also an anime nerd, had dressed up as Kirishima from My Hero Academia. However, he chose to dress in the school uniform since he did not want to wear Kirishima's shirtless hero costume. Kim, who was not afraid to show off what he had, came in dressed as Sin Cara from the WWE. Vallia was already drooling over seeing his bare chest.
Lila and Chloe were the last to enter the classroom. Of course, Chloe was dressed up as Queen Bee. They expected nothing less from the brat. Lila, much to Adrien's disgust, was dressed as Ladybug. She was clearly still trying to keep up the lie that she was the hero's best friend.
"I'm gonna go throw up, be right back," Lyon remarked before he and Vallia went to their seats behind Juleka and Rose.
"He might blush, but he is STILL the Ice Prince," Alya remarked.
"There is no doubt about that," Nino agreed with his girlfriend.
The class had pretty much had an unspoken agreement when it came to Lila. They did not really believe that Lila was lying about everything to them like Marinette said she was, but they also did not believe Lila whenever she would say anything bad about Marinette. So, they had all come to a silent agreement to simply keep Lila and Marinette away from each other and no longer try to get Marinette to be friends with Lila.
"Oh, Marinette, what an... interesting costume," Lila tried and failed to not sound jealous of Marinette's costume.
"I wanted to use my hair to my advantage," Marinette tried to keep things casual. "Plus, Alya and I have seen this show when we are babysitting together. So, I thought it was a great idea."
"Are you not worried about taking a character from a children's show," Lila tried to sneak in an underhanded comment.
"Who cares," Marinette shrugged. "There are people of all ages that enjoy shows that are usually meant for kids. Besides, Halloween is about fun no matter who you are dressed up as."
"I know that I always want to have as much fun as possible on Halloween," Adrien stated. "And I will use all my ninja powers to make sure no one can stop me!"
"Someone enjoys getting into character," Alix snickered.
"Can you all keep it down," Juleka said in her best Wednesday voice. "I am trying to ignore the bright sun in the sky. It burns my eyes."
"There are so many reasons why I enjoy having this girl as a friend," Lyon chuckled, enjoying Juleka going full-goth.
"Friends are as pointless as daytime is," Juleka stated.
"Is it wrong that even when I know it is Juleka, she still creeps me out," Nathaniel asked.
"I am pretty sure Juleka would be insulted if you were not creeped out by her right now," Rose stated.
"Probably the only person on the planet that takes pride in creeping people out," Vallia giggled.
"I say again, so many reasons why I like her being my friend," Lyon repeated himself.
Lila's eyes visibly twitched, which would be seen by anyone who was paying attention. It was obvious that she did not like how her attempt to get under Marinette's skin had failed so quickly. Not to mention how she also lost the attention on her just as quickly.
"Well, my costume is pretty self-explanatory," Lila said. "Of course, I had to dress up as my best friend."
"Ladybug appreciates anyone that dresses like her for Halloween," Marinette tried not to call Lila out on that lie. "I know that the girl I babysit, Manon, also wanted to dress as Ladybug."
"Well, my costume was designed and made by one of the biggest fashion designers back in Italy," Lila bragged.
Lyon yawned as she talked. He and Vallia had never been the type to hide how they felt about Lila. They never believed anything she said and often made it clear how they got bored of her constant talking. Lyon had even said to her face that he would rather rip his ears off than willingly listen to her non-stop talking.
"I wish I actually had ice magic so that I could freeze her mouth shut," Lyon commented to his sister.
"Maybe if I wave my wand at her enough, a moonstone will eventually come out of nowhere and knock her out," Vallia responded.
"I would pay literally anything for that to happen," Lyon said.
"Death comes for everyone, but maybe sooner for those that deserve it more," Juleka says.
She could obviously hear them from her seat in front of them. While most of the class was trying to be neutral in the 'Lila and Marinette Drama' there were those who did know the truth. Juleka, Nathaniel, and Kim were all aware that Lila was a liar. Juleka figured it out after it was revealed that Jagged was her and Luka's father, so she had "insider" information about Jagged never having had a kitten not writing a song about anyone other than Ladybug and Penny. Nathaniel was shown that she was a liar when Marc told him that Lila tried to say that she could introduce him to Stan Lee, even though he was dead. All Kim needed was to sit down with Marinette and listen to why she believed that Lila was a liar, which Marinette told him was because there was no way that Ladybug would befriend someone who would instantly boast about it on the Ladyblog, and he believed her since he had grown up with Marinette.
"You are really enjoying your costume, aren't you," Vallia giggled.
"Enjoyment is for those that try to make up for the fact that they live sad and lonely lives," Juleka stated.
"Are we sure that she is not possessed by Wednesday Addams rather than just dressing like her," Lyon joked.
"I will never tell," Juleka said.
"At this point, I would be seriously surprised if her birthday was not Halloween, Friday the 13th, or Dia De Los Muertos," Vallia says.
Rose looked like she wanted to tell Vallia the day of Juleka's actual birthday, but she chose not to just because she liked the joke.
"I would have asked her to make your costume as well, Marinette," Lila continued talking in her fake sweet tone. "But I know you don't like me."
"Her acting is not even that good," Adrien mumbled to himself, even though Nino could hear him.
"I would have said 'no' anyway," Marinette said. "After all, since I want to be a fashion designer, it is better to get as much practice as possible as a teenager. And Halloween is the perfect excuse to practice my craft."
"And my girl's got skills," Alya gave Marinette a side hug. "She even made me these bracelets for my costume since I couldn't find any in any store I tried."
"Besides, as much as you wanted to be Ladybug, being something so... predictable has never been my style," Marinette could not but throw in her own underhanded comment. "After all, even just from those in the bakery this morning and who I saw on my way to school, so many people were dressed as Ladybug. That has never been my style."
"It's true," Kim said. "Ever since we were kids, Marinette has always had the most unique and fun costumes on Halloween. However, nothing less can be expected from someone that lives in a bakery than for them to love a holiday all about sweets."
"I remember all of her costumes," Nino says. "And they have always been awesome. During that entire werewolf and vampire craze a few years ago, Marinette went against that and dressed like a fairy princess. The complete opposite of what everyone else was going for."
"That sounds adorable," Adrien said, unknowingly making Marinette blush.
Miss.Bustier soon came into the classroom, making everyone go to their seats. Much to the surprise of everyone, she was also in a costume. They all could not help but giggle and chuckle at how Miss.Bustier was dressed up as Miss.Frizzle from The Magic School Bus. She even had a fake lizard to represent Liz.
"Good morning, class," she says. "While I am sure all of you are excited about Halloween, it is still a school day."
"Can I just say that you actually look really nice as Miss.Frizzle, Miss.Bustier," Adrien commented after he was called on.
"Thank you, Adrien," Bustier smiled at him. "I used to teach elementary and would show episodes of the show to my class. So, I thought it would be nice to experience some nostalgia from those days."
"Memories are some of the best reasons to wear costumes like that," Marinette smiled at her.
Bustier smiled at them some more before she went to start her lesson.
"Alright, class, today we are going to..." Bustier started.
A slight wave of energy washed over all of Paris. It was barely noticeable, only noticed by those who have been involved with magic in the past. Which was technically all of them since they have either been akumatized or wielded a miraculous or both.
"Take chances, make mistakes, get messy," Bustier suddenly blurted out, shocking the entire class. "I'm sorry, class. I have no idea where that came from."
"I hope any mistakes made are deadly ones," Juleka in her Wednesday tone again.
"Okay, something feels wrong," Nino groaned almost in pain as he put his hand on his head.
"I'm glad that someone else feels that way," Lyon agreed with Nino.
"Is anyone else suddenly really hot, or is it just me," Alix started using her hand as a fan to try and cool herself down.
"If anything, I'm cold," Lyon shivered a little.
"Uh... Juleka," Rose looked nervous while speaking in the higher-toned 'Peach' voice. "Is that hand supposed to be... moving?"
"WHAT!" the class all yelled at the same time, looking at Juleka immediately.
Sure enough, the "fake" hand on her shoulder was moving. It suddenly jumped off Juleka's shoulder and was "standing" in front of her on her and Rose's desk. Everyone instantly jumped and moved away from the hand.
"You guys are going to hurt Thing's feelings," Juleka said.
"Juleka, the voice was fun before, but you are starting to really freak me out," Nathaniel stated.
"I don't... I don't think I can stop," Juleka actually sounded worried even in her lower Wednesday voice.
"Guys... I think she is being serious," Rose said.
Everyone got even more worried. Something was most definitely wrong. Juleka may be quiet, but she did not have a low voice like the one she was currently speaking in. And then just to add more freakiness to the situation, the previous fake bunny that Ivan had been holding also jumped out of his arms and onto his desk.
"I, officially, am freaked out," Kim stated.
"Did you guys feel that energy from before," Marinette asked them all. "Maybe that has something to do with what's going on."
"And what is even going on, girl," Alya asked her best friend.
Marinette gave her a look that clearly was saying "Are you serious, right now?"
"An akuma, Alya," Marinette says. "You would think after all this time, you would have learned the signs of an akuma by now."
"Marinette, don't be mean to Alya," Lila had the gall to try and scold her.
"Hey, Marinette has a point," Adrien stood up for Marinette. "Hawkmoth has been sending akumas for over a year. It is pretty obvious when he is up to something."
"What type of akuma even is this," Lyon was visibly disturbed by the sight of 'Thing' still crawling around on Juleka and Rose's desk. "Does it bring inanimate objects to life?"
"I would have guessed that if not for Juleka's change in voice and Miss.Bustier's earlier shout," Marinette says.
"Vallia, what do you..." Lyon cut himself off at the sight of his sister missing from her seat. "Vallia? What in the name of the gods!"
He looked around, trying to find his sister. The others all looked under their desks and around them as well to see if Vallia had hidden somewhere in the classroom for some reason. They would have thought she climbed out the window for some reason if they had not heard a tiny voice.
"You guys might want to look up," they all heard from above them.
They all looked up and their jaws hit the floor. Flying above them was a fairy. And not just any fairy, it was Vallia.
"Someone please tell me that I am dreaming," Max stated. "Ow!"
"You're not dreaming," Kim said, having just pinched Max on his arm.
"Vallia," Lyon gasped at the sight of his sister being an actual fairy.
"Don't ask me," Vallia flew down and sat on her and Lyon's desk in front of her brother. "One second I was fine, and the next I was tiny and flying. I know I joked about wanting my want to actually be able to work earlier, but not like this."
"That's it," Nathaniel, of all people, stood up.
"What's it," Alix asked him.
"That is what the akuma does," Nathaniel says. "It doesn't bring inanimate objects to life, that wave of energy from earlier turned all of us into our costumes!"
All of them then started looking at themselves just to test if Nathaniel's theory was true. And it turned out he was right. Sabrina nearly jumped out of her skin when one of her fake Pokeballs grew larger in her hand when she pressed the button on it. Alix touched her desk and immediately had to take her hand off it because she accidentally started burning it just from her touch. Nino tapped his robotic arm and it opened up to reveal a small computer screen, just like the one Cyborg uses to communicate with his teammates on the show without the use of his Titan communicator. Max simply stood up and instantly tripped over his own feet in a classic case of Urkel clumsiness and also instantly said "Did I do that?" by pure instinct.
"How did you figure it out, Nath," Adrien asked him, curious.
"It would not be the first time I have seen this happen," Nathaniel said.
"What," everyone gasped.
"Not in reality, obviously," Nathaniel continued. "But, I've seen a lot of TV shows that have had 'turning into their costumes' as part of their Halloween specials. It was done on Fairly Odd Parents, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, The Simpsons, not to mention the iconic Haunted Mask episode of Goosebumps."
"I am suddenly so glad that you're a nerd," Alix stated.
"I'm a nerd and proud of it," Nathaniel says.
Unknown to the rest of the class, four other members were way more concerned about the current situation. Adrien, Marinette, Lyon, and Vallia all had no idea if this akuma would keep them from transforming. None of them had currently been wearing their miraculous but had also kept them on them. Giving her bag a quick look, Marinette was relieved to see Tikki was still there with the earrings. The same could be said for Adrien, who was glad that Plagg was still in his jacket pocket with the ring. Lyon looked inside his and Vallia's backpacks, glad to see their own miraculous and kwami were still there. The only problem was that Vallia was too tiny to put hers on.
"Adrien, I'm scared," Lila immediately took the opportunity to latch onto Adrien's arm.
"Then go get comfort from someone that cares," Adrien forced her arms off of him.
"You don't mean that," Lila would not take 'no' for an answer.
Adrien smirked as he decided to take advantage of his own costume transformation. He made some hand gestures and with a POOF, he was replaced by a log of wood with Lila holding onto a branch of the log. Adrien appeared behind Lyon.
"I have always wanted to do that," Adrien was actually excited.
"You are not that upset about this akuma, are you," Lyon raised an eyebrow at his friend.
"While I can not really be excited about there being an akuma, out there, I can at least have some fun with this one," Adrien smirked.
"You really are an anime geek," Lyon chuckled.
"Says the guy dressed as another anime character," Adrien threw back.
"A character that can freeze you into an ice statue, so I would watch that mouth," Lyon playfully threatened his friend.
The fact that ice was slowly spreading from where Lyon's hand was on his desk, Adrien chose not to push his luck even though he knew Lyon was only joking.
"You're a real Ice Prince, now," Vallia giggled.
"You are too tiny to make fun of me, right now," Lyon glared at her.
Vallia wisely shut up, knowing that she could easily be squished given her current size. Plus, she was not in the mood to be turned into a fairy-cicle.
Bustier ended up sighing, knowing that there was no point in trying to continue class because of what was going on. After all, how could she when she might end up taking the class on a potentially dangerous field trip because of her own costume? So, she dismissed the class and told them all to go home.
Getting out of the classroom, they saw that all the other classes had been let out as well. And everyone had been transformed into their costume the same as they had.
"Oh, crap," the four secret heroes swore at the same time.
Looking around, they could see their other friends from around the school not doing very well with their new abilities.
Aurore, who had dressed up as Stella from Winx Club, was currently trying her best not to blind anyone with her new light powers. Not to mention she could not control her wings very well. Jean, who had obviously dressed as a magician, could not stop pulling rabbits out of his hat. Plus, flowers kept popping into his hand every time he flicked his hands in the slightest way. Mirelle had dressed up as Mulan and she was now being followed by what had definitely been a fake Mushu that she had been carrying around. She also looked terrified that she was now carrying a real sword.
It was Marc who looked to be struggling the most. Mostly because the costume he chose had been outside of his comfort zone. He had dressed as a vampire. An old-school one, at that. So, now he had to hide in the shadows because the sun would literally kill him. Nathaniel immediately went over to check on his boyfriend.
"Something tells me that this is going to be one seriously crazy Halloween," Marinette says.
"My sister is literally sitting on my shoulder because she is not even six inches tall," Lyon says to her. "We are already way past crazy at this point."
"Let's just hope Ladybug, Cat Noir, Beautifly, and White Wolf can take down the akuma before chaos takes over Paris," Alya said.
"If the akuma ever shows itself," Kim muttered.
"Kim," Max slapped his best friend on his arm.
"I didn't mean that in a 'we are doomed' kind of way," Kim immediately tried to change what he had said before. "I meant it in a 'the akuma has not even really revealed itself and is already causing problems' kind of way."
"Oh," Max said, before he then tripped again, knocking down a bunch of the class like human dominos. "Did I do that?"
"I am never watching that show ever again," Sabrina stated, having been the first one Max had knocked over when he tripped.
"There is nothing to worry about," Lila bragged. "I texted Ladybug and she knows about the akuma. Or, since I now have Ladybug's powers, I could handle it if she ends up having trouble."
Those aware that she was a liar all rolled their eyes.
"Who needs Ladybug now that Queen Bee is back," Chloe boasted, obviously enjoying that her costume was made real.
Taking advantage of the chaos, Lyon, Marinette, and Adrien all did their classic "got to transform away from prying eyes" disappearing act. No one even noticed they had vanished. And even if they did, they probably thought that Marinette went home to check on her parents, Lyon and Vallia went to check on their dad, and Adrien was summoned home by his father.
Lyon hid in the empty art room and opened up his backpack to pet out his and Vallia's kwami, Flutter and Frostbite.
"Please tell us that there is a way for me to transform," Vallia immediately asked them.
"We... uh... We don't know," Flutter reluctantly admitted.
"You don't know," Lyon almost yelled.
"This has never happened before," Frostbite says. "Fairies have never been involved with the miraculous. So, there has never been a reason to see if a fairy could use a miraculous."
"Hold on," Vallia could not help but pause at what the wolf kwami had said. "Are you saying that fairies are real?"
"I don't think right now is the right time to process that," Lyon tells his tiny sister.
"Fine," Vallia got back on topic. "Do you think it could work if I basically stood inside of my bracelet almost as if it was a very large dress?"
"There have been many situations the miraculous face faced, but never anything like this," Flutter said. "While there have been times when our holders have been shrunk, but that was also a time when they were still wearing the miraculous, so it was shrunk along with them."
"I do believe that this is what you humans would call an uncanny valley situation," Frostbite says.
"At least you have been slowly learning about modern language," Lyon said. "And yet, I still feel the urge to keep you away from the internet."
"That is something more for what Plagg's holder should do," Frostbite says.
"The more we learn about Plagg, the more I feel pity for Cat Noir," Lyon stated.
And speaking of Cat Noir, Adrien had hidden in the locker room to talk to Plagg to see if the transformation would affect him as Cat Noir.
"So, there will be some type of effect my current situation will have on me being Cat Noir," Adrien wanted some clarification from Plagg.
"I have had holders in the past who have had their own powers," Plagg reveals. "When they use the miraculous, their powers would get enhanced. So you, ninja boy, will be given a boost when you transform."
"I know I should feel this way, but I think this is my favorite akuma," Adrien says.
"It would have been a lot better if you had been dressed as someone that could summon cheese by their will," Plagg adorably pouted.
"As I told you when I was choosing my costume, there is no such character that can do that," Adrien could not help but roll his eyes.
"And I said before, that should be considered a crime," Plagg stated.
"You are a smelly cheese gremlin and not even you can deny that," Adrien tells him.
"It's not my fault that you do not know how to appreciate proper smelly and delectable cheese," Plagg adorably crossed in arms in stubbornness.
Adrien rolled his eyes as he put his ring back on.
With Marinette and Tikki, they were having a similar conversation that Adrien and Plagg were having. Marinette had also been concerned if her costume would interfere with being Ladybug.
"If anything, this could help you defeat the akuma more easily," Tikki tried to soothe her panicking holder.
"But I don't even know where to begin with these powers," Marinette was once again in full panic mode. "Lapis is one of the most powerful characters in Steven Universe with her ability to bend water to her will. I can't learn to control such a powerful ability this quickly."
"You are going to have to, Marinette," Tikki says. "So far, everyone is still acting like themselves. But, it is only a matter of time before your costumes start influencing your personalities as well."
"You think that will happen," Marinette was now even more concerned.
"I may have never experienced anything exactly like this before, but there have been things like this," Tikki explained. "There is a magical Native American mask that a tribe once used to turn into animals to fight in wars by wearing animal skins and then using the mask's magic on themselves. Only, once they were turned, they also acted like animals rather than simply turning into them."
"Great, just great," Marinette facepalmed.
"While I am not sure that will happen this time, we still need to find and defeat this akuma as quickly as possible," Tikki advised.
"The one time that Kim was right about something, it had to be that the akuma has not shown up, yet," Marinette groaned.
"I am sure the akuma will show up sooner or later, Marinette," Tikki tells her.
"Let's hope for sooner with this one," Marinette said.
And then, as if summoned by her desire, the sky started to darken. Given that Aurore had been transformed into a fairy, they knew it was not Stormy Weather. It seems that Marinette's "Ladybug Luck" was working in her favor this time.
"Well, you got what you wanted, Marinette," Tikki said.
Soon, they heard a voice shouting from outside. Even for akumas that have nothing to do with the school, they would still find ways to come to the school. There was a reason why Dupont had gained the reputation as the "Akuma School." However, there were literally no students who would argue with that title for the school. Especially since Chloe had been the cause of a majority of the akumas created, with a lot of them happening because of things she had done at school. Such as when she had locked Juleka in the bathroom, called Ivan a monster, and ripped up Rose's letter to Prince Ali.
"I am the Pumpkin King," shouted out a male voice, but also sounded very young at the same time. "If others want to make fun of me for being scared of Halloween, then I will be the one to make THEM scared!"
The heroes all looked out of the rooms they had hidden in. They saw the akuma riding on what was obviously supposed to be a witch's broom right over the school courtyard.
"That name is definitely a Nightmare Before Christmas reference," Lyon said.
"Hawkmoth is pushing the limits when comes to a potential copyright lawsuit," Vallia says.
Pumpkin King was definitely a young boy. They could only guess that he was about seven or eight years old. His looks were also inspired by the main character of Nightmare Before Christmas, Jack. He was dressed in a pitch-black suit but with some visible spider web designs on it. There was also a mini skull in the middle of his bowtie. He also had black boots on. His head looked a lot like a skeleton skull because of the white and black makeup. Over his eyes was a pumpkin-designed mask with a pumpkin-themed witch hat on his head. It was like he was the child of Jack Skellington and a witch.
"Someone please tell me that Chloe did not make fun of a little kid and got him akumatized," Adrien basically was pleading with the universe.
"What makes you think she was the cause of this one," Plagg asked his holder.
"Why else would an akuma come straight to the school," Adrien looked very done with the number of akumas his childhood friend caused.
"There, there," Plagg tried and failed to be a comforting kwami.
All of the heroes were about to transform when they, unfortunately, heard a very familiar voice. And they could also feel headaches forming.
"You came to the wrong place, you utterly ridiculous villain," Chloe said in the most pompous voice possible. "Queen Bee is back and I am the only hero that Paris needs!"
"Delusional, party of one," Aurore called out.
That got a lot of laughs, even though there was an akuma right there. Given that the entire school hated Chloe, they could not help but laugh whenever anyone would make fun of her.
"Nobody cares about Queen Bee, Chloe," Alya yelled at her.
"You were never a hero," Kim shouted at her.
"Get out of here and let the actual heroes come and fight the akuma," Aurore called out again.
"You are all ridiculous, utterly ridiculous," Chloe huffed at what everyone was shouting at her. "You don't deserve to have the help of the amazing Queen Bee."
"More like Queen Brat," shouted another student.
The akuma was floating on his broom, watching everything that was going down. The look on his face was definitely saying that he was thinking something like "Did they forget I am even here?" However, he did have to admit that it was very entertaining to watch most of the school gang up against a very obvious spoiled brat.
"Only this school could be so against Chloe that they forget about the akuma that is right in front of them," Lyon sighed.
"It should really say something about a group of people if they can so easily forget about an akuma," Vallia said.
The akuma, tired of being ignored, decided he was not going to take it.
"Maybe this should teach you not to ignore and akuma," he shouted.
He held out his hand and shadows seemed to fall from his fingers. Once the shadows landed on the ground, they formed into classic Halloween monsters. Vampires, werewolves, mummies, witches, and many others. All the students started to back away from the creatures.
"This isn't good," Marinette gasped.
"You need to transform, Marinette," Tikki tells her, urgency in her voice.
"Tikki! Spots..." but hearing a voice stopped her from finishing her transformation phrase.
"Hey, Skeleton Boy," Alya's voice was heard. "You do realize that you made a big mistake, right?"
"Excuse me," Pumpkin King glared at her.
"Oh, Alya," Marinette facepalmed. "One of these days, she is going to give me a heart attack."
"You may have transformed us into our costumes, but maybe you should have also added some mine control when you did that," Alya smirked.
Suddenly, she changed. Since she had been transformed into Valerie Gray, that meant she also had Valere's Red Huntress suit. So, with a small swirl of energy, the red and black mechanical suit appeared on her body. Complete with the red and black hoverboard under her feet.
Within seconds, Alya flew right at the summoned monsters. Wrist blasters came out of her armor at the wrists, obviously, and she started shooting at them. She looked to be having a lot of fun.
"Why am I not surprised Alya is the first to go on the offensive," Tikki giggled.
"There is a reason why I wanted Alya to be given the bee miraculous while fighting Style Queen," Marinette tells the kwami. "As great as she is as Rena Rouge, Alya is more headstrong and straightforward. So, she is better with a miraculous where she can fight head-on rather than staying back to cast an illusion."
"We still need to transform, Marinette," Tikki reminds her.
"Right, Tikki," Marinette nodded.
As much as Adrien, Lyon, and Vallia were all enjoying the sight of Alya using her costume to her advantage, they knew they had to transform as well. Quickly ducking back into their hiding places, they put on their miraculous and said their transformation phrases.
"Tikki! Spots on!"
"Plagg! Claws out!"
"Frostbite! Freeze over!"
Lyon almost went "Awwwwww" as he saw his sister pouting from where she was sitting. It was obvious that she would not be able to transform because of her new fairy form. Lyon had to admit she was very adorable as a pouting fairy.
The heroes all had to sneak out of the windows in the rooms they had been hiding in. That way, they could make it look like they arrived normally rather than having obviously come from somewhere inside the school. It was a lot of work, but hiding their identities was very important. They were glad that when they "arrived" at the school, a lot of students followed Alya's lead. They went on the attack.
Alya looked to be having the time of her life being Red Huntress. If she was not blasting vampires with her wrist blasters, she was dropping energy bombs onto groups of werewolves. All with a smile on her face. Nino was backing his girlfriend up using his new Cyborg strength. And if she needed a more powerful helping hand, he was more than happy to use his sonic cannon. Kim actually provided some great backup by using his new wrestler moves. There was a reason why Sin Cara was one of the best wrestlers in the WWE. Because he had skills.
And to the surprise of most of them, another one of the best fighters turned out to be Juleka. Since he had chosen the version of Wednesday from the Jenna Ortega show, it meant she was incredibly skilled at fencing. So, she had grabbed two swords from the gym supplies and was using them to be a terrifying force of fierceness. Mirelle joined her, using her new skills that came from being turned into Mulan. Not to mention she had her own backup in the form of the fake Mushu that had been brought to life. That tiny dragon could be very scary once it lets loose its fire breath. Aurore also let loose her new fairy magic. Being the fairy of the shining sun was actually the best member of the Winx that she could have been for the situation that was happening. Especially given that they were fighting literal creatures of the night. Marc did have to avoid her powers as he and Nathaniel fought side by side. The boyfriends were already partners while working on their hero comic, but they were now crime-fighting partners as well.
There were still some students who were not very helpful since their costumes were not of characters that had powers. Such as Mylene, whose mime costume only meant that she had lost her voice and had basically been turned into the stereotype of French mimes that others like to make fun of. Ivan was also not very helpful given that DJ was known for being quite the loveable coward on Total Drama. With Rose, it was pretty easy to see why she was not very helpful. After all, Princess Peach was known for being a damsel in distress.
The three heroes all landed next to each other on the school's roof.
"Well, it looks like we have more help than we usually do," Cat Noir immediately said.
"We're going to need it," White Wolf stated.
"That have to do with the reason why Beautifly is not here," Ladybug asked him.
The icy hero nodded. "Her costume was that of a fairy, so she shrank too much for her miraculous to be able to work with her."
"I am never looking at Halloween in the same way ever again," Ladybug sighed.
"Speak for yourself," Cat Noir grinned brightly. "I am still going to love this holiday no matter what."
"As an almost literal black cat, I am not surprised that you love... Ladybug, are you blue," White Wolf cut off his statement to ask the question.
"I will be honest and say that I only noticed that when you brought it up," Cat Noir's eyes widened at the sight of Ladybug's blue skin.
Ladybug sighed. "My friends and I had chosen to do a combined theme for our costumes. We all wanted to basically turn into human versions of the elements. I was water."
"You had a much more creative costume than me," Cat Noir chuckled. "I just dressed as a ninja."
"I was my own original character that I called the Ice Prince," White Wolf shrugged.
The other two heroes raised an eyebrow.
"Isn't that a bit of a hint to you being White Wolf," Ladybug asked him.
"Hiding in plain sight is the best way to hide my identity," White Wolf tells them. "After all, no one would think an ice hero would dress up in an icy costume."
"Got to admit, it is clever," Cat Noir says.
The three of them then jumped into battle. They head right for Pumpkin King. He barely was able to dodge them since they had caught him by surprise.
"So, you have finally shown up," he says to them. "Give me your miraculous or Paris will be known as the City of Nightmares instead of the City of Love!"
"I have a better idea," Cat Noir smirked. "How about you give us your akumatized object before we unleash a can of butt-kick on you!"
"I think this is a better idea," Pumpkin King glared at them. "Get them!"
Some of his creatures that had not been fighting the students all charged at the three heroes. White Wolf simply yawned as he touched his hand to the floor. Instantly, ice covered the ground. It caused the monsters to slip and side right into a wall.
"You, ghouls, should learn how to be careful," the icy hero snickered. "Icy roads ahead."
"How did you do that," Pumpkin King yelled. "You did not even say your superpower activation phrase!"
"I didn't have to," White Wolf smirked. "My costume had been a character with ice powers. Your powers are the reason for my little upgrade."
The look on the villain's face was priceless.
"Yeah, neither you nor Hawkmoth thought things through when it came to your powers," Cat Noir laughed.
He did a few hand gestures and in the blink of an eye, multiple versions of him appeared around the villain. And all of them looked just as cheeky as the original.
"And we are more than happy to use our new ninja powers to our advantage," they all said at the same time.
They all attacked the Halloween villain at the same time. Even though he had the advantage of being able to fly because of his broom, Pumpkin King was learning that flight was not the big advantage he thought that it was. After all, with a dozen Cat Noirs attacking him at the same time, it would only be a matter of luck and time before one of them would be able to get a hit in.
And it soon came to pass when he had to dive down to avoid one group of Cat Noirs, but that sent him right into the path of two more. Using their staffs, they were able to knock him off his broom. They all smirked as they looked at the downed villain.
"He is really enjoying himself," White Wolf said.
"He is such an anime nerd," Ladybug playfully rolled her eyes.
"Or, just a nerd in general," White Wolf chuckled.
The Cat Noir copies then all vanished, leaving only the original.
"I am going to miss that for after you cast the cure, M'Lady," he said.
Ladybug opened her mouth to answer, only to be distracted for a second. A few vampires tried to attack her, which forced her to use her new powers. She held out her hands, which unleashed a strong blast of water. It sent the vampires flying back into another wall.
"I have to admit that it would be nice to still have these powers," Ladybug admitted. "If only I did not have to be blue."
Thinking that the broom Pumpkin King had been riding on had to be his akumatized object, Cat Noir picked it up from where it had landed on the ground. He was about to say his power activation word when someone else said theirs first.
"Venom," Chloe shouted.
Her hand lit up as she activated her paralyzing power. Only, she did not go for the akuma, she went for Cat Noir. If it had not been for the quick action of Ladybug using her yo-yo to pull Cat Noir away from her, she would have been able to get him with her power.
"Chloe, what in the name of the gods are you doing," White Wolf yelled at her.
He notched an arrow into his bow and aimed it at her. He was not going to let her come close to them.
"You can't do this to me," Chloe screamed at the heroes.
"Do what to you," Cat Noir raised an eyebrow. "We are just defeating an akuma as we usually do."
"You took Queen Bee away from me once," Chloe continued to yell. "I will not let you do it to me again!"
"You are willing to let an akuma stay out just so that you can continue to pretend to be a hero," White Wolf glared at her.
"I was a GREAT hero," Chloe protested White Wolf saying that she had only been pretending to be a hero. "It's not my fault you were utterly ridiculous enough to take MY miraculous from me."
"It was not YOUR miraculous," Ladybug yelled back. "It was NEVER yours. It did NOT belong to you!"
"It was MINE," Chloe denied Ladybug saying that the bee miraculous was not yours.
"Just because you want it, doesn't make it yours," Cat Noir glared at the brat. "And it was long overdue for someone to not give into your spoiled brat attitude."
"If Beautifly and I had been here from the start, we would have dealt with her long before she had a chance to be such a dangerous fake hero," White Wolf growled.
"How dare you," Chloe screamed.
She tried to use her Venom on him, only for him to easily dodge her by gliding on the ice still on the floor. He barely even looked like he cared that she was attacking him, which only made her even angrier. After all, someone like Chloe basically lives off of others paying attention to her. So, White Wolf basically dismissing her only served to piss her off. Not that he cared.
"I think he might actually be enjoying this," Cat Noir commented to Ladybug.
"If there is one thing we are well aware of when it comes to White Wolf, he takes no nonsense from anyone," Ladybug said. "Especially Chloe."
"So, you think you should call your lucky charm," Cat Noir asked her. "We might not need it for Pumpkin King, but that is how you cast the cure."
"You have a point," Ladybug says. "Lucky charm!"
She threw up her yo-yo in order to summon her charm. When it came down, it was revealed to be a replica of her magical yo-yo.
"Huh," Cat Noir looked at the replica. "I feel like that is a message."
"For what is the real question," Ladybug said.
"Well, it certainly isn't for this brat," White Wolf says as he continues to easily dodge Chloe's strikes. "I have her handled."
"You will pay for disrespecting the most amazing person in all of Paris," Chloe screamed at him.
"When did that happen," White Wolf tauntingly raised an eyebrow. "You are the one I am disrespecting and you are the WORST person in all of Paris.
That really pissed Chloe off. She charged at him again, only for the icy hero to simply step to the side and then put his foot out. He tripped her, which caused her to slide down a path of ice he made. She crashed into the janitor's closet. The door was closed by Juleka.
"Sweet revenge," Juleka smirked, still talking in her low Wednesday voice.
"I knew there was a reason why I liked that girl," White Wolf chuckled.
But while they were dealing with Chloe and Pumpkin King was still knocked out from the multiple Cat Noir attacks, the heroes did not notice someone else sneaking near them. Someone who was also holding something red and black ladybug-themed. The person threw it at the heroes, specifically Ladybug. But, she did not count on Cat Noir's new ninja reflexes.
Out of the corner of his eye, he saw the object heading right for them. His eyes widened when he noticed it was a ladybug-themed grenade. He quickly took action by throwing his baton, which easily met its mark because his ninja skills combined with his cat eyes made him a very good shot. After all, ninjas had to be very good at throwing things because of their use of throwing stars.
The grenade was knocked back to the person who threw it. It exploded but was thankfully not a firey type of explosive. It exploded with what they thought was red and black glue/paint. The scream that followed the explosion told them who had thrown it.
"Well, now the lucky charm makes sense," Ladybug said as she saw Lila covered in the sticky paint.
"I guess means we are finally done, then," Cat Noir says. "Let's actually finish this. Cataclysm!"
The broom that was still in his hand crumbled to dust. The purple butterfly flew out of the dust.
"No more evil-doing for you, little akuma," Ladybug opened her yo-yo and captured the akuma. "Time to de-evilize! Bye, bye, little butterfly."
She opened her yo-yo and freed the now-white butterfly. She then threw up the lucky charm yo-yo while shouting "Miraculous Ladybug!" to cast the cure. It washed over Paris which turned everyone back to normal while also getting rid of all the creatures Pumpkin King had summoned. He was also turned back to normal.
However, one person was strangely not completely cured by the magic. Even after the ladybugs washed over the school, Lila was still covered in her sabotage attempt.
"I am seriously not surprised," White Wolf commented.
"Lila... you tried to sabotage Ladybug and the other heroes," Alya was the first of the students to come over. "Why... Why would you do that?"
Normally, Lila would have tried to lie while also throwing in her typical crocodile tears as well. But, this time, she was too angry to do that.
"What did you do to me, Lady Brat," Lila yelled at Ladybug. "Look at me! You did this to me!"
"You did it to yourself, Lila," Cat Noir crossed his arms. "I always knew you would make a mistake one of these days and it looks like karma has finally come to collect your debt."
"What... What do you mean," Rose stuttered as she asked.
"He means that Lila is finally experiencing the consequences of her actions," White Wolf says. "Something she has previously been able to escape because of her lying skills."
"L...Lying," Mylene stuttered.
Ladybug sighed. "I did not want it to come out this way, but it is true. Lila, there, has been nothing but a liar ever since she came to Paris. Especially since after what you have all just witnessed, it is obvious that she is NOT my best friend."
"But... But you never said anything," Alya looked at her phone, obviously looking at her blog.
"I never said anything because I wanted you to come to me," Ladybug tells the blogger. "Alya, you can become an amazing reporter someday, but you need to learn to not take things at face value. I did not come to you because you should have come to me in order to fact-check what Lila was saying. Clearly, I had too much faith in you. Maybe after this, you will learn to be careful about who you trust."
Ladybug was not that upset with Alya, especially since Alya had stopped trying to get her and Lila to become "friends." But, she still wanted Alya to learn about these things in case anyone else tried something like Lila had. Lying about being friends with a hero to gain attention.
"I think a lot of people learned a very good lesson today," White Wolf stated, smirking at Lila while she glared at the heroes.
"If I was in Harry Potter, this would be my Patronus memory," Cat Noir snickered while also looking at Lila.
"Bug out," Ladybug says.
The heroes then all left. Slowly, the students returned to their classes. The battle had not been that long, so they did still have to return to class.
"Hello," Chloe yelled from the janitor's closet. "Hello! Get me out of this filthy place! I demand it! Let me out right now! This is ridiculous! Utterly ridiculous!"
No one heard her. And even if they did, they wouldn't care.
