2018 prompt schedule

i never talk about these things but i can’t remain silent.

i know tumblr doesn’t give a SHIT when things happen in countries outside the “most popular ones” (such as the usa & england). it’s true, don’t lie to me. y’all don’t give A FUCK. not every issue and problem in said countries gets the appropriate exposure but in general shit shows up on the news WORLD FREAKING  WIDE. you set up donations, you help out, your spread the word, you say “pray for x”……

southern europe is burning. 

my country is burning.

people are dying - at home, on the road, trying to run away, in their cars.

yesterday my country had 300 active fires.

people are losing EVERYTHING they own.

i have a friend that is on a train right now passing through places that have been burnt to the ground and she says the smoke is so intense it’s getting inside the train and she can barely breathe.

and yet, even though several people (myself included) have been trying to bring awareness to what has been happening in southern europe… what we get from most of you, those not part of the countries suffering, is silence. we don’t ask for money, we don’t ask for shit other than a reblog to spread awareness… something you can delete in 24/48hrs if you wish. 

i don’t know what to tell you. i’m angry. i’m frustrated. i’m disappointed. i feel like i’m screaming into the void. “a reblog does nothing” - you know that’s a damn lie, you know exposure always helps, you know people start paying attention when posts on social media become popular. my country in particular is a small one, we get ZERO exposure. y’all are only starting to figure out we even fucking exist bc of the shit we’ve been winning lately. 

but hell, if the EU doesn’t give a shit, why should some user on tumblr dot com?

So besides working on Isabel and other AOT-related drawings (because I’m sorta waiting for the appreciation week to start), I’ve finished up two portraits of Lusamine from Pokemon and Eris from Shadowverse! I’m really glad they look good, and if I had to pick out my favorite parts, they would be Lusamine’s hair and Eris’ staff--incidentally, I spent the most time on those things too, lol. Enjoy!

More AOT happenings under the cut!

So if there’s one thing that’s noticeable in these two drawings versus the ones for AOT, they’re drawn with a pose and beyond the top half of their body. I’ve been working on Isabel as I was finishing up these two, and I decided she’ll get a more dynamic pose and more of her actual body drawn, as well! I’m pretty sure Isabel has taken as long, if not longer to draw, than Farlan, so hopefully when I finish her portrait it’ll be worth it. I mean, quality over quantity and all, haha. Thanks!

Announcing: SnK Positivity Week 2018!

Join us in spreading love and positivity in our beloved fandom July 8th-14th! Help spread smiles to people through art, writing, graphics, sweet messages, and so much more! <3 The prompts are as follows:

Day 1 - SEND A LITTLE LOVE DAY (July 8th)

Send out positive, encouraging, and cheerful anonymous messages to someone in the SnK fandom! Doesn’t matter how many people, as long as you’re helping to spread love!

Day 2 - SHIP POSITIVITY DAY (July 9th)

Create something! Anything (it can be art, fic, gfx, etc…) featuring any ship of your choosing! Gush about your OTP or show love for your favorite rare-pair!

Day 3 - CHARACTER POSITIVITY DAY (July 10th)

SnK is filled with flawed and morally ambiguous characters, but that doesn’t mean we can’t love them all! Create something to show appreciation for a character you love, but don’t normally focus on! Branch out and give positivity to the characters you feel deserve more affection.

Is there a blog or individual you want to rep today that you believe deserves some extra love and attention? Put them in the spotlight! Send them an ask or make a post talking about how you appreciate what they do!

Show appreciation for all the content creators in the network and fandom! Whether they make edits, write fic or meta, or draw; send them an ask or make an appreciation post.

Day 6 - LOVE YOUR SERIES DAY (July 13th)

What attracted you to SnK? Why do you love the series? Who’s your favorite character? Why? Tell us how SnK has impacted your life in positive ways.

Anyways, hey, it’s been a while! I’m still making portraits of the underground thug trio, the second being this lil’ ol’ portrait of Farlan! I’ll be drawing Isabel next, the good bean of the group that must be protected. Hopefully she won’t take as long as Farlan did. Stay tuned! (^v’)ノ

I thought it was fun to color him, since the reference photos from the anime were so useful, lol. What wasn’t fun was drawing his “aerodynamic” hair... it was really difficult for me (which is why it took me so long to add another drawing here. I tried, then took a break for a few days, tried again, then took a break, rinse and repeat for however many weeks I’ve been gone). But looking back, I at least gained some points in perseverance! That’s pretty useful, right?

Since I recently saw No Regrets for the umpteenth time (and cried a bit too), I thought I might start on a new trio from Attack on Titan! Levi first, then Farlan, and finally Isabel; only the best trio, of course. And since Levi is such an old guy (lol), I might draw him again in his present form as the good ol’ Cap’n, cravat and all. Maybe someday.

Right when I plan on adding drawings here on a weekly basis I don’t upload, but that’s life, lol. At least Mikasa is finished! The Shiganshina Trio is finally complete!

I decided to spruce up the place with a new banner and an icon! The banner is blank because I want to try adding more drawings to it the more I post, which is a pretty neat idea.
