HWM: Bonus Chapter (Pregnancies & Births)

Shawn's POV

Pregnancy #1:

November 16, 2019

"Honey I'm home!" I say very loudly and then laugh at myself.

"In the bedroom watching tv!" Olivia yells out so I could hear her and find her in the house. I walk into the room with a big smile on my face.

"I've always wanted to say that phrase." I say giggling.

I then notice Olivia on the bed and then my attention is now at the end of the bed where she laid everything out for me to find. My eyes widen substantially as I read "Only the best Husbands get promoted to Daddy." on the onesie, and I picked up the ultrasound photo. My eyes start watering and I smile so big and bright.

"Is this for real, like you're actually pregnant?" I ask Liv with a shaky voice.

"Yeah I took the tests and then made a doctor appointment and they confirmed that I'm one week pregnant. Oh also our baby is the size of a sesame seed right now." She says getting excited and stands from the bed.

"I'm gonna be a father, holy crap I'm gonna be a dad. You're pregnant and I'm gonna be a DAD!" I say excitedly.

"Yeah I know I couldn't believe it when I found out, but yeah we're going to be parents and I'm so excited. What do you want a boy or a girl?" She says and asks me.

"I don't care as long as they're healthy, we'll have a little me or you running around here in nine months." I say and she rubs her thumbs over my cheeks.

"Well I want a boy, I've always wanted a boy first because then if I have girl next she'll have an older brother to have her back." Liv says explaining why she wants a boy.

"Also because he'll look like you, he'll look up to you, and he'll be a momma's boy for sure." Olivia says growing more excited by the moment.

"Ok now I kind of want a boy too, but I'll be happy either way." I say kissing her sweetly once more.

"Oh I forgot one more thing." She says quickly.

She pulled two guitar picks from her pocket and hands them to me. I look down and read what's on the picks. I start smiling and holding them close to my heart.

"Oh my god they're so cool, I love them so much thank you Liv. You're going to be the best mother ever!" I say and place them on my bedside table.

I make my way back over to her, I take your hand and lead her into the living room. I then let go of her hand and proceed to move the furniture around making a big empty space in the middle of the room.

"Shawn what are you doing?" She asks me with confusion lacing her voice.

"I'm making a space so we can dance, I want to dance with my very beautiful pregnant wife and I needed room to do that." I say with a big smile gracing my face.

"Oh my god I married the most romantic and sweetest man ever." She mumbles under her breath.

"You have always made me the happiest man alive, but now you're making me even happier and making a family with me is the best thing I could ever ask for. Thank you Olivia Mendes I love you so much." I say to her in the most loving way.

"You make me the happiest woman on this earth, and now we're going to be a family and I couldn't be happier." Liv tells me and I just hold her as the music plays on in the background and we slow dance until the song ends.

We both stop dancing and turn off the stereo. I move the furniture back to their original places, and we both head back to our room. She cleans up all the baby announcement stuff and gets changed into her pajamas. I do the same and we both crawl in bed, get comfortable, snuggle up and turn out the lights and nod off into a peaceful sleep.

Birth #1:

August 12, 2020

"Baby what's going on? Tell me so I can help you. Is it time? Is the baby coming?" I ask so many questions so fast and she can barely think because the contraction that hit her was painful and I could visibly see the pain in her eyes.

"Yes the baby's coming and we need to go to the hospital right now!" She says between clenched teeth trying to hold in her pain.

"Ok let me get you into the car and I'll come back and get your hospital bag and mine." I say calmly while helping her to the car and get her into the passenger seat gently trying to ease her pain as much as I can.

I run back inside and grab the hospital bag from our room and bolt outside to the car. I drive like a madman trying to make it to the hospital as soon as possible. We arrive after about a five minute drive and get Olivia taken care of and settled. I make the call to friends and family that Olivia is now in labor and we're having the baby tonight.

About and hour later the doctor says it's time to start pushing once the next contraction hits, that's what Olivia does when she feels the next contraction and boy was she so incredibly strong for doing this and bring out beautiful child into the world.

After the first few pushes she's breathing really heavily and she's sweating a lot. She rolls her head to the side and looks at me and takes my hand in hers.

"I can't do it, I can't it's to much I can't do it." She says repeatedly while slowly shaking her head in pain.

"Olivia look at me. You can do this, do it for me, do it for you, but most of all do it for our baby boy. He needs you and I know you can do this because you're the single most strongest women I've ever met. You can do this just a few more pushes and he'll be here with us you just gotta push through it for me and him ok. You got this so let's go. PUSH OLIVIA PUSH." I say to encourage her to keep pushing and with that she does.

After the next and final push we hear the sound of our baby boy crying as he entered the world. I take her hand and was given a wash cloth by a nurse and I wipe her forehead and kiss her cheek.

"You did it my love and I'm so damn proud of you. You are so damn strong and I won't ever let you forget that, and you've just given birth to the most beautiful baby boy and have made me the happiest man in the world. I love you and our little baby boy so much you both are my whole world." She smiles at my soothing words and pulls me into a sweet kiss.

"And you and our baby boy are mine, I couldn't have made him without you, and now that he's here I've got my two boys to be my whole world. You gave me strength today and continue to give me strength and I love you so much. I love you both so much. We're officially a family now." She says to me softly trying to save as much energy as she can.

The doctors come back in with a freshly clean and baby blanket wrapped baby boy. He's so tiny and they hand him to Olivia first and we both just look at our child. We look at each other in amazement because we made that tiny human in her arms.

"Oh he looks just like you Shawn, and your good hair genes are certainly strong because he has a full head of hair and no doubt he'll have curls when he's older just like his father for sure." She says giggling with excitement.

"Yeah the Mendes hair genes are insane, but he looks like you too not just me like his nose and lips, but yeah like father like son with curly hair." I say and start to giggling.

"Here take him and hold him for a while." She says and I gently take the tiny baby from her arms and into my strong arms.

I am very weary that I'm going to hurt him or drop him but Olivia reassures me that he's fine and I'm holding him correctly. Soon after that we hear a small knock on the door and the doctor comes in and asks for all the baby's name for the birth certificate. We both smile and answer her.

"His name is Manuel David Mendes." We both say to the nurse sweetly. She fills out the birth certificate info and leaves shortly. We hear a small knock on the door and tell them to come in. Once the door opens my family is revealed and they quietly walk into the room.

"He's so beautiful you guys, he looks just like Shawn when he was born, my first grand baby omg he's too precious. Can I hold him?" She asks and Olivia nods to me and I gently hand over the small baby to my mom and she's just staring down at Mauel and smiling so big. Then the baby is passed to my dad and when he saw looked at us decided to tell them the baby's name.

"His name is Manuel David Mendes after both of his amazing grandfathers." Olivia tells them and we hear small gasps from all three of them and my dad started to tear up and just held our son a little closer to himself. Liv smiled at the sight and reached out to grab my hand and squeeze it gently.

After my dad held little Manny he handed him over to Aaliyah who whispered that she was going to be the best/fun Aunt making everyone giggle. Liv looked at me and gave me the "go ahead I know you've dying to tell her look." And I got excited and sat up a little more.

"Hey Liyah I've got some news to tell you as well, um me and Olivia think that you should be Manuel's godmother, and if anything happens to us not that it will, but if it did that you'd take care of him." I say nervously trying to gauge her reaction.

"Of course I'd love to be his godmother, I'll always help look after this little guys. He's a Mendes and my nephew I'd be stupid to say no, and I just love him so much already. He's going to be spoiled by us all though and you know it." She says excitedly but not loud enough to wake the sleeping baby.

Pregnancy #2:

November 23, 2020

I walked through the doorway of our bedroom and the white onesie caught my attention and my face kinda scrunched up while I was reading the words. "Oops (we did it again!)" My eyes got so big and I broke out into a big smile. Liv smiled up at me and placed her hands on her stomach and rubbed it gently.

"No are you serious! You're pregnant again? We're having another baby? Oh my god we're gonna be parents again!!!" I ask all at once in excitement and picked her up from the bed and twirled Liv around happily.

"Yeah baby we're having another baby!!" Liv giggles out and kissed my cheek.

"Oh you've already given me a beautiful son, this time I want a little girl, but I'll be happy as long as they're healthy. You have made me so happy and given me the absolute world and I'll cherish and love you and our growing family until the day I die I promise you. I'll give you and our children everything we could ever want or need as long as you're all happy then I am too. Oh my beautiful wife look at the life we've made with each other and for each other, it's so beautiful and I'm so happy with the loving life we have together. I will protect you and the kids for the rest of our lives I swear this to you." I say picking Liv up and holding her around his waist.

"There's actually a baby in there, I'm so happy and excited for him or her." I say as I wrap my arms around her and kiss the side of her head.

"Me too, like I can't wait for all the pain and soreness because that means our baby will be growing and getting ready to join us." Olivia says looking at my through the mirror. We crawl in bed after our mirror moment and slowly fall asleep with big smiles on our faces.

Birth #2:

August 21, 2021

I get home around 5:30PM from the recording studio, I was recording some new songs for my fifth album coming out this year. Olivia is in the kitchen making dinner for all three soon to be four of us. I walk up behind her and wrap my arms around her and place my hands on her very beautiful swollen belly. I swear she looks so gorgeous when she's pregnant, she definitely has the pregnancy glow everyone talks about.

I move her hair to the side and gently kiss her neck and then her cheek. She lets out a small giggle and turns to face me, she leans up and kisses me softly. My arms wrap around her lower back and just hold her to me still kissing her. I faintly hear the sound of my almost two year old boy running to us. I break from the kiss and await my baby boy to make his entrance.

"Daddy you're home!!!" Manuel says while running to me and I pick him up once he reaches my legs.

"Hey buddy how was your day today? Did you keep mommy safe like I asked?" I ask him, interested in his answer.

"Yeah I did, and we had a good day. Mommy took me to the park and then to go get ice cream." He says telling me about his day.

I smile at my little man and kiss his cheek before setting him down. He walks over to Liv and she ruffles his hair and kisses the top of his head. When she straightened back up she lets out a gasp and I grow worried. I first hear something hit the floor and I look and see it was water. Then I see the wetness from her pants to the floor, oh my god her water just broke and the baby's coming.

"My water just broke." Olivia states and I immediately help her to the car and help her in the passenger seat.

Then I run back inside and get the hospital bag and gently grab Manny's hand and we make our way to the car. I strap Manny into his car seat and place the hospital bag in the back seat beside him. I get in the car, Buckley up and begin the drive to the hospital as fast as I can without breaking the law.

We arrive at the hospital and I tell the receptionist that my wife is going into labor. They get her a wheelchair and wheel her into an empty room, we enter the room and they get everyone hooked up and ready to go. I quickly go out into the hallway and make phone calls to my parents, her parents, Aaliyah, Selena, Taylor, and Camila.

I go back into the room and we wait for her to dilate to 10 centimeters. My parents showed up after 30 minutes and they watch over manny while we still wait until she's ready to push. Another contraction hits and she grunts out in pain, the doctor comes back in and takes a look and says when the next contraction hits Olivia needs to start pushing.

I stand up and make my way to her left side, I gently hold her hand and a few minutes later it's time for her to push and she squeezes my hand very hard. she's clenching her teeth and screaming at the same time. I honestly don't know how women go through this much pain and still come out alive. She's doing so well and soon enough our second baby will be here to meet us both.

After a few more string pushes from Olivia our baby girl is here and crying out for us all to hear. Olivia is now resting a little bit as the doctors cut the umbilical cord and go to clean her, weigh, and size her. They bring our daughter back into the room and let Olivia hold her for the first time. After a few minutes Olivia asks if I want to hold her and I gladly say yes.

As soon as our beautiful baby girl is in my arms my eyes start watering and tears are freely falling. She's the most beautiful baby girl and she looks exactly like her mother.

"I swear on my life I will do everything to make you happy and keep you safe, your mommy and older brother are my entire world and I'll never ever let you forget that I promise you. You're my little girl and you'll always be my little girl." I whisper to the sleeping baby in my arms.

Everyone who was waiting in the hall was told they could come in but only if they're quiet and whisper. First my parents and Aaliyah entered the room, the Selena, Taylor, and Camila entered the room and found places to sit.

"So what's her name, have y'all decided yet?" Selena asked looking up at us while holding out daughter.

"Yeah we have a name and her name is Isabelle Rose Mendes." Olivia answers her softly

"That's a beautiful name for a beautiful little girl." Taylor says making everyone smile.

"So, there's something I want to tell you Selena and I swear it's not bad." Olivia speaks up catching her attention.

"Uh yeah what is it love?" Selena asks curiously.

"Well since you and Evans are dating now me and Shawn thought it would be a great idea to make you and him the god parents of Isabelle." Liv says and Selena gasps and begins tearing up.

"Of course we'd be honored to be her god parents, and I'll have to tell Chris the news but oh my god wow thank you Liv." Selena says and we all laugh and she just cradles the baby closer to her.

"Yeah we know how much you and Evans love being around children and babies so we thought you two would be the most perfect god parents for our little Belle. So whenever you want to watch her or just come to see her and visit you're both more than welcome to at anytime just give us a heads up first." I tell her and she smiles and nods at me.

Belle is passed around a few more times and everyone had a turn holding her and loving on her.

"She's absolutely perfect and so beautiful." Taylor says while trying to contain her excitement.

"Yeah she gorgeous, you and Olivia make beautiful babies." Camila says making us both laugh out.

"Hey is it ok if I FaceTime Chris and break the news to him, I'll make sure he's quiet and doesn't wake up Belle." Selena asks and we nod yes to her and she pulls out her phone and begins the FaceTime call. Chris picks up and smiles and asks where she is.

"I'm in the hospital room with Olivia and Shawn, they just had their baby girl." She says to him and he smiles really big.

"Oooo can you fave the camera towards her I want to see her? Also what her name?" Chris asks happily.

"Her name is Isabelle Rose Mendes, but Belle is her newest nickname." Selena tells him and I swear he's crying already.

"Oh my god that's beautiful and she's so precious congratulations Olivia and you too Shawn I'm so happy for you both." He says quiet trying not to wake the baby up.

"Well that's not the only reason I called you him, I called because I have some news for you." Selena says and starts giggling

"Yeah hit me with it." Chris answers her

"Well Olivia and Shawn have just made us the god parents of Isabelle and I couldn't wait to tell you in person." Selena says and Chris' face is now one of shock and happiness.

"No way! Are you serious? Oh my god! Thank you guys so much we won't let you down, and I'm gonna come up and visit soon oh my goodness I have a god daughter." Chris says trying to contain his excitement.

"Ok babe well I gotta go I'll call you later ok?" Selena says and he responded quickly and the call ends.

Visiting hours were over and everyone but our little family were leaving, they all said their goodbyes and the room became quiet as I held my baby girl while my son and beautiful wife were asleep in the hospital bed. I quietly and softly set my newborn baby girl in her hospital cot and fell asleep with a smile on my face in the spare bed in the room.

Pregnancy #3:

October 26, 2021

I was out with the guys just hanging out and having a beer or two. After about an hour I felt it was time to get home so I called an Uber and made my way home. When I walked through the door I called out to my wife and two beautiful children. I heard the putter patter of my children's little feet running towards me, and a pair of footsteps following them. I was met with two very happy children and a beautiful looking Olivia.

My children take my hand and lead me out to our backyard with out telling me why. Olivia was following behind and I was looking curiously at her and she just smiled. Our kids let go of my hands and run behind the three chalk boards and I start to read them as the kids and Olivia wait patiently for my reaction.

The boards read: "Tie Breaker Coming 2022 Girls: 1 Boys: 1."

My eyes grow big and wide and I turn to Olivia and she's smiling so big and rubbing her hand over her stomach. I walk over to her and kiss her sweetly and passionately and hear a string of "ew" and "gross" from our young children.

"We're having another baby? We're gonna be parents of three in nine months?" I ask a mile a minute.

"Yep I'm a week late and went to the doctor to confirm it a few days and I'm a few weeks pregnant and out third baby is growing in my belly." Olivia tells me and I just smile and lift her up and spin her around.

"We have to tell our families soon, but for now it's our little family secret and I loved how you involved our kids in this pregnancy announcement that's was really cute." I say getting excited about having another baby and addition to our family.

We all go about the rest of our evening with dinner and then siting and watching a movies as a family. After the movie we tuck in our sleeping children and then head to bed ourselves.

Birth #3

July 12, 2022

The day started by us getting up at 7:30AM and getting the kids ready for daycare and pre-school. I got home from dropping the kids off at 8:00AM and Olivia was making some more pancakes for the both of us. Her belly is big and swollen from pregnancy and she's still so beautiful. I think she's the most beautiful woman in this planet but especially when she's pregnant with our child.

At around 9:30AM Olivia was washing some dishes that were in the sink when she gasps and looks down at the floor where the puddle of water is growing slowly. I know what's happening after gone through this twice before I now know the protocol. Her water has just broken and the baby's coming soon.

I help her into the car and go get the hospital/baby bag and run back out to the car. I drive to the hospital and get her checked in and entered into an available room. I call my parents and tell them that Olivia is going into labor and that the kids are going to need to be picked up from daycare and pre school.

It takes about 30 minutes for her to become 10 cm dilated and ready to push. After 5 good push's our second baby boy is here. The doctor takes him for measurements and a cleaning. After a few minutes they bring him back in and hand him over to Olivia and she just holds him to her chest.

The nurse begins to ask about his name and other information and we tell her his name is Peter Gabriel Mendes. He's named after me and Olivia's little brother. The name is perfect and I love how we use family names it's cute and so beautiful.

My parents with our children and Olivia's family have shown up and the room is filled with our families. Taylor, Selena, and Camila have made their way into our room. I love that we have our friends and family here with us and celebrating the life of our third child.

"Hey Taylor and Gabe we both have something to ask of you, you can say no but it's be wonderful if you didn't." Olivia says and they nod waiting for the question.

"Yeah sure hit us with it sis." Gabe says and Taylor laughs at him.

"Um well we were wondering if you both would be the god parents of Peter? Since Aaliyah is the god parents of Manuel, Selena and Chris are the god parents of Isabelle, and Peter needs some god parents we thought you guys would be perfect since he's named after you Gabe and Taylor you'd be such a great god parents since you've been a great aunt to our children now." Olivia asks and then ramble on why they'd be great choices.

"I'd love to oh my god, I already love him so much!" Taylor says excitedly.

"I'd also love to since he's my namesake, and I'm already the fun uncle anyways." Gabe says and Liv laughs at him. I smile at them both and then my wife.

I look around the room and it's all smile and sweet gazes except for a certain black haired Latina individual. My smile drops and I go and sit beside her.

"Hey Mila what's wrong are you ok?" I ask my best friend feeling a little concerned.

"Everyone else is being chosen to be a god parent and I just feel a little left out, don't get me wrong I love being Aunt Mila, and I adore your children, it's just I want to be a god parent too ya know." She tells me and my heart hurts a little because she's feeling left out.

"Hey it's ok to feel left out, of and when we have another baby I promise you you'll be the god parent we just thought Gabe and Taylor were good fits for this one, not that you aren't either. I wasn't supposed to tell you this cause it was gonna be a surprise but we're already planning for our next baby and you'll definitely be it's god mother when they're here ok. You're not left out we just picked and wanted to also surprise you." I tell her hopefully making her feel better. Mila smiles at me and pulls me into a hug.

"Oh my god you're already planning for baby number four? You just had number three!" She whispers loudly.

"Yeah we're gonna stop at four kids so we kinda need to plan for this last one and we've chosen god parents already but not names because we don't know yet." I whisper to her and she just smiles at me.

After talking with Camila and a long day of everyone talking they started to leave but my parents told me that they were gonna watch the kids for a few days while we got settled. Everyone left the room and let us have some peace and quiet with our newborn son. Liv had fallen asleep almost as soon as everyone left and I put Peter in his little hospital cot bed, and got in the spare bed and fell asleep myself.

Pregnancy #4:

August 31, 2022

Andre wanted to have a meeting with me about starting a sixth album. After the meeting I headed straight home to discuss the idea with my beautiful wife. I enter the house and head straight to our room and I'm met with all three of our kids and Olivia in the bed watching tv. At the foot of our bed is a little set up with a baby onesie, a black board, and some Mickey ears. The onesie read: "Guess What?" And the board read: "And then there were 4."

"No are you kidding? Wait really we're having another baby?" I ask her excitedly.

"Yes baby we're having another and final baby, I don't think I could do it again after this one." Liv says which makes me laugh.

"Yeah I think four is a great amount of kids and we'll be so happy with our four." I say to her and she laughs at me.

"Ok well, let's get the kids to bed and you can show me just how excited you are about this baby yeah." Liv says and I immediately get into action and help get the kids to bed. After the kids are all in bed we make our way to our bedroom and you can guess what happens next.

Birth #4:

May 31, 2023

Today we were celebrating Olivia's 24th birthday and we were in the middle of her party surrounded by all of our friends and family. Our Marvel friends were here, along with our music friends, and both of our families and we had a big cook out in the back yard and also pool party.

Olivia was standing and talking with Chris, Selena, Robert, and Scarlett. She was smiling and laughing every now and then and just enjoying herself and I was grilling with my dad and father in law. I would look around and make sure our kids and other kids were ok and safe.

I then looked over in Liv's direction again just checking on her to make sure she's ok because currently eight and half months pregnant and I'm worried she'll go into labor soon, but she wanted to have the party anyway. I watch as her face contorts into one of pain and she grabs her baby bump with one hand and the other on Chris' shoulder to steady herself. My eyes go wide and I hand my dad the spatula and quickly make my way over to her.

"Shawn my water just broke and the baby's coming, get the bag and meet me at the car. Everyone feel free to stay and enjoy the rest of the party or feel free to leave and go home, but you can also come to the hospital with us and meet our baby. You'll have to travel separately though." Olivia tells

I was running around the house like a mad man, and I see Chris walking her out to the car slowly trying not to cause her even more pain. I smile at him and mouth a quick "thank you" and he mouths "you're welcome."

I grab the hospital bag and put it in the car and then run back into the backyard and talk to my parents and Taylor, Selena, and Aaliyah.

"Hey can you guys watch the kids and I'll call you all as soon as the baby's here but it would just be easier if you watched them while they were here at the house. Thank you so much I love you all so much." I ask them very quickly trying to get back to Olivia as quick as I can.

"Yeah no problem go and help your wife." Aaliyah says and pushes me in the direction of our back door.

I look at Camila and wave her over to come with me, the. We both go back to the car and get in. I thank Chris once more and drive to the hospital and get Olivia checked in a d settled. I walk out to the waiting room and see my parents, Olivia's parents and brothers, the marvel crew, Camila and her boyfriend Harry.

"Well everyone thank you for coming and being moral support, but it's gonna be a while and when it happens I'll come back out and let you know when you can come in and see the baby." I say to the big group and they all nod their heads and smile at me.

I walk back into the room and sit down in the chair by Olivia's hospital bed and held her hand and she smiled over at me.

"This is the last one, I think four kids running around is quite enough for us don't you think?" She asks me while laughing.

"Yeah four is a good number and we're equally out numbered and I'm glad we are having four. Two little you's and two little me's and they'll all grow up to be so different but also alike in their ways, but I wouldn't trade any of them or you for the world." I say to her squeezing her hand and then she winced and squeezed mine harder.

"Get the doctor I think it's time now." Liv tells me through clenched teeth.

I run out and get a nurse to call the doctor and they all run in the room and let me in to hold my wife's hand while she's told to start pushing. After 4 great pushes Olivia and I hear a high pitched baby crying. The doctors took out new born baby girl for measurements and cleaning. They bring her back in and ask for her information for the birth certificate.

Her name is Atleigh Camila Mendes and she shares a birthday with her beautiful mother and a name with her beautiful loving aunt and god mother Camila. She was born at 8:00PM, she is 6.5LBS, and 19 inches long. She's so beautiful and looks just like her mother.

I walk out and tell the group of people they are aloud in, but that we want Camila and Harry in there first. They follow me into the room and Camila gasps and smiles at the little baby in Liv's arms.

"So we brought you two in first because we want you to be the god parents of Atleigh Camila Mendes." I say and Camila looks shocked and covers her mouth.

"No, are you serious you named her after me, oh my god we're going to be as thick as thieves when she's older and grown up some. We would love to be her god parents oh my god Shawn, Liv thank you so much." Camila says while wiping her eyes of tears that fell after she heard Atleigh's name.

"You've been nothing but supportive and a great friend to me and Shawn and what better way to thank you than giving my baby girl your name as her middle name." Olivia tells her and waves Camila over to hold her god child.

"Thank you Olivia and Shawn I promise we won't let you down, it's such an honor really thank you." Harry says to us and we laugh and I pull him into a hug, and he goes and hugs Liv softly.

Once the sweet moment is over we usher the others in and pass the baby around and the room is all smiles and giggles. After a while some of the group have left and went back to the house. Aaliyah, Selena, Taylor, and our children made their way into the room and we introduced Atleigh to our kids first and then the girls.

After another 30 minutes everyone is starting to leave both our house and the room. Aaliyah made sure to take the kids home and put them all to bed successfully. I'll have to thank her for that later, but I just put my baby girl in her hospital cot and crawl in hospital bed next to Liv and fall asleep.

HWM: Bonus Chapter (Proposal & Wedding)

Shawn's POV

September 26, 2019

Olivia and I woke up and went about our day, we had to fly out to my next tour destination, but what she didn't know was that I had a whole dinner planned and that I was going to propose tonight. I'm really nervous about how I'm going to ask and how she's going to answer, I hope she'll say yes but I don't actually know what she'll say.

I had bought the ring with my mom and sister when we were in Toronto so I could have a woman's perspective and it was just a nice bonding moment for all three of us. I chose a silver banded emerald ring with small diamonds surrounding the emerald and on the band of the ring. I thought it was very fitting for Olivia because her birth stone is an emerald so it's more personal to her and her personality.

Olivia is more like an emerald than a diamond, still very beautiful but just a little different in the best ways. She still shines bright but is unique and beautiful. I love the ring and I can't wait to see her face when she sees it, god I hope she says yes, but if she doesn't then that's ok to I'll just try again at a different time.

We get dressed and get on the plane and hours later we landed and get settled in our hotel room and it's now 6PM and our dinner reservations are at 7PM so I go ahead and get ready and tell Liv to get ready for dinner as well. I'm wearing a navy blue patterned shirt, navy blue slacks, and black dress boots.

I tell Liv that I'm going to wait for her in the lobby and to come down whenever she's ready. I exit the room and take the elevator down to the lobby, I then take a seat in the comfy little waiting area. After another 20 minutes Olivia exits the elevator and she looks absolutely stunning. Her dress is beautiful, her make up, hair, and shoes are all beautiful and match her outfit perfectly.

We got to the restaurant and got seated and ordered our drinks and a few minutes later ordered our food. While we were ordering our food I pulled the waiter closer to me and whispered for him to put the ring in her drink that I would order for both of us later. I handed him the ring in a small black pouch as sneakily as I could.

He nodded to me and proceeded to his job. Olivia was looking at me suspiciously and I'm literally trying not to give it away because this is a big moment for both of us and it's a big milestone in our relationship. I hope she hasn't caught onto what my plan is, I don't think she is but still I hope not.

After our food arrived I ordered us both a glass of champagne and nodded at the waiter signaling him that now was the time. Ok I'm growing even more nervous but it's now or never so I just gotta go for it. The waiter comes back a few minutes later with both glasses and I can definitely see the ring in the bottom of her glass and I smile softly.

I watch her and wait until she sees the ring and makes the adorable shocked face that I love so much. After she took the first sip of her champagne and her eyes grew wide with surprise at the ring in her glass. She takes her fork and fishes it out of her glass and wipes it off with her napkin.

I stand up from my chair and get on my knee in front of her and gently take the ring from her and hold it in my hands. She covers her mouth with her hands in shock and then pulls them from her face and sets them in her lap. Her eyes start welling with tears. I start my proposal speech hoping more than anything that she'll say yes when I ask her the big question.

"Olivia Mae Webb, I knew from the moment that I met you that you would be one of the most important people in my life. I knew that I couldn't live without you in my life, I know that I still can't live without you now. You're the most beautiful woman I've ever had the pleasure of dating and loving so completely. Not only are you the most beautiful woman, but your the most beautiful human I've ever met, inside and out, you are light in my life and to this world and you always shine so bright. You have helped guide me through my darkest times and have been there for my brightest ones too. I love the way you are around my family and how you already treat Aaliyah like your little sister, and the bond you have with my parents. I love that you get a long with all of my crazy friends and consider them your own, and don't get me started on how much you love my fans. Sometimes I think that you love them more than I do, and you show that by getting to know them at every concert and make them feel so comfortable around you during the shows. It makes my heart beat quicken and fall even more in love with you that I already am. Olivia you have accepted all of me, the good parts and the bad." I say and Liv covers her mouth with her hands as happy tears fall freely from her eyes.

"You've accepted that being with me you would be exposed to all forms of the Media good and bad and you still decided to be with me despite that. You've accepted that my fans may or may not like you all that much but still chose to be my girlfriend anyways. You've accepted my flaws such as my terrible anxiety and how it can just come out of nowhere and you still help me through it every time. You have loved me through every up and down that we've faced and it has made our love stronger. There's no one else I would want to spend the rest of my life with so, would you me the great honor of being that person and Marry Me?" I ask her with watery eyes myself nervously awaiting her answer.

"Yes Shawn a thousand times yes in every language yes." She says with tears in her beautiful brown eyes.

I slide the beautiful ring onto her left ring finger, she quickly takes my face into both of her hands and brings me in for a passionate kiss as the whole restaurant erupted into applause and smiles at her answer and our new engagement.

Not long after the engagement we enjoyed the rest of our meal, I paid, and then we left and headed back to the hotel to share the news with the team. We made our way up to Andrew's room and most of the band and team were there anyways just hanging out.

Andrew told us to come in and after waiting to see if anyone would notice at first we came out and told everyone that we're engaged. Everyone congratulated us and we went back to our room. We celebrated on our own if you know what I mean, and enjoyed the rest of our night.

I woke up really early and immediately text Olivia.

Messages:

You: Hey my love, I can't wait to see you soon, and can you pack us each a a bag with a weeks worth of clothes?

Liv🌹: I can't wait to see you too, and yes I can do that, and I'll be the one in white. 😘

You: Thank you so much, and I'll be the one waiting for you at the alter.❤️

I smile down at my phone because today I'm marrying the woman of my dreams. And I have no doubt in my mind that she'll look insanely beautiful. I begin getting ready with the rest of the guys and get dressed in my suit and hours later the guys and I head over to the wedding venue.

I send Brian to tell Olivia to meet me in the corridor so I can talk to her before the ceremony. He comes back and tells me she's heading there now so, I kind of speed walk to meet her. I get there and wait behind one side of the wall with my guitar in hand and wait for Olivia to arrive. I hear her footsteps getting closer to the other side of the wall.

"Olivia are you here love?" I say calling out to Olivia from the other side of the wall.

"Yeah I'm here Shawn, you just can't see me before the ceremony. You know bad luck and all the jazz." Liv says and giggles out.

"Yeah I get, ok so I brought my guitar and I'm going to play a few chords and sing a few lyrics from one of my songs to you ok." He says and you smile hugely.

"Ok baby play on, I'll try to guess which one it is, but I feel like I already know which one it'll be." I giggle out and begin to play the chords to "Fallin All In You."

I finish the song and I hear Olivia sniffling a little bit, oh I made her cry oh my god and on our wedding day.

"Shawn that was the sweetest thing you've ever done for me. God, I love you so much and I can't wait to marry you in a few minutes." She tells me, her voice cracking from crying.

"I love you so much Olivia and I can't wait to call you my wife and wake up with you by my side for the rest of my life." I say and I hear her stand from the bench she was siting on.

"Ok Shawn I've got to go and finish getting ready, and you need to go take your place and wait for me. I'll be there shortly. I love you Shawn Peter Raul Mendes." She says and then bringing my swallow tattooed hand to her soft lips and kisses it sweetly.

I hear her footsteps walk away slowly and I head back to the room where me and the guys were getting ready and hanging out before the ceremony started.

Brian tells me that it's time for me to stand and wait at the end of the alter because she's almost ready to get the ceremony started. Brian and I make our way to our spots and we just patiently wait for the love of my life to walk down the aisle towards me. Five minutes by and Camila and Connor are the first people to walk down the aisle and stand in their places.

Next is Aaliyah and Matt and they do the same and stand in their spots. Finally Selena makes her way down the aisle and stand in their places, then the ring bearer walks down the aisle with a small pillow with the rings neatly placed on it. Lastly the flower girl walks down throwing rose petals as she walks until the end of the aisle.

The bridal processional song begins to play and everyone stands as Olivia and her father begin walking down the path towards the aisle and are just coming into my view. As soon as they are both very visible I can't look away from her, she looks absolutely beautiful in her dress and her hair and make up done to perfection. My eyes begin to water and tears are falling freely as I just watch her walk towards me with her father.

We have kept eye contact with each other and only lost it when she got to the alter and her father turned to me and gave her away to me.

"Take good care of her for me." Her father said to me.

"Yes sir, I will." I said to him while I nodded to him and took her soft smooth hands in my own.

She looks at me and I swear my heart starts beating ten times faster than it already was. We just look at each other and it feels like hours when it only was a few seconds before the officiant spoke up and began the ceremony.

"We are gathered here today to celebrate the wedding and coming together of Shawn Peter Raul Mendes and Olivia Mae Webb." The officiant says and pauses shortly before proceeding.

"Now before we really get started with his wedding if there is anyone who objects to this marriage speak now or forever hold your piece......."he waits a few moments and no one says anything, that makes you both smile more.

"No one, ok then let's proceed." The officiant says quickly. We both let a small laugh and smile at each other and squeeze hands.

"Now I know the lovely couple has vows they'd like to exchange before the actual ceremony, Shawn we'll let you start first and then Olivia will go after you." The officiant tells me.

I let her left hand go and grab a piece of paper from my suit pocket and proceed to read from it.

"I'm a little nervous and had to write it down so just bare with me." I say rubbing my thumb over hers and laugh a little bit.

"Olivia, since the day I met you and you came into my life you have not once left my mind since then, and I know you've heard me say that a lot but it's so true. Olivia you cross my mind daily and it brings out biggest smile on my face, and you have genuinely made me a happier and better man. When I met you I just knew there was something so special about you, and you have proven me so right every day that we have been together. I know one of the most special things about you Olivia is how you love so deeply and with your whole heart. Another special thing I knew about you is your ability to always show kindness to those who need it without ever having to ask for it in return, you are also so forgiving and so beautiful inside and out. You are a light in my life, and not just my life but my family's too. It makes me so happy to see you and Aaliyah get along the way you two do it's like you're both already sisters and I couldn't ask for a better person to spend the rest of my life with. I promise to take care of you when your sick or just not feeling your best, I promise to protect you from whatever is to come our way, and I promise to be faithful and loyal to you, but most of all I promise to love you a little more each day from this day until my last day." I read my vows and look Olivia in the eye every few seconds and squeezing her hand a few times.

"Olivia, it's now your turn take a few seconds to prepare your vows." The officiant says kindly. You then turn to Selena and she hands you the piece of paper with your written vows on it.

"I'm also a little nervous so like Shawn said just bare with me ok." She says and giggles a little.

"Let me start out with saying that Shawn I have been in love with you long before you ever met me, ok maybe not actually in love with you but I knew that you meant so much to me because your music and songs are a huge reason that I'm still standing here today. You see because about five years ago I was going through possibly the darkest moment of my life and the one thing that really kept me fighting/going was your beautiful voice. So I guess you can say I'm your biggest fan, but all for good reason you saved my life and you had no clue you were doing it but you were. Anyways when we met you I quite literally fell for you because I stepped on my own dress and tripped into you, but you caught me and steadied me until I could stand on my own again. You seem to be doing that a lot, catching me I mean, but this time was different because I was just another fan that you were meeting until we locked eyes and then everything changed for the both of us. I knew that I just had to get to know you personally but I never could have guessed we'd get this personal but here we are getting married today. I'm so blessed to have you in my life and you are a light in my life too, the brightest one may I add. You are always so kind, and in any situation you react with kindness and love first and foremost. You have a heart of gold, and I promise to never take it for granted. I promise to take care of you when your sick or just not your best, I promise to protect you from anything that comes our way, I promise to be faithful and loyal to you until I draw my last breath, I promise to love you more each day from this day until my last day." She says getting choked up a few times, and looking down at the paper and reading the words she had written, but also looking in my eyes every few seconds just as I'd done with her.

"Shawn, if you would repeat these words after me." The officiant speaks up getting my attention.

"I take you Olivia to have and to hold."

"I take you Olivia, to have and to hold." I say looking into her beautiful brown eyes.

"In sickness and in health, for better and for worse."

"I'm sickness and in health, for better and for worse." I say smiling at her.

"Until death do us part or as long as we both shall live."

"Until death do us part or as long as we both shall live." I say squeezing her hand in mine.

"Now Olivia repeat after me." The officiant then asks of you.

"I take you Shawn, to have and to hold."

"I take you Shawn, to have and to hold." She says looking into my eyes.

"In sickness and in health, for better and for worse."

"In sickness and in health, for better and for worse." Liv says still looking into my eyes and she blushes making me smile at her.

"Until death do us part, or as long as we both shall live."

"Until death do us part, or as long as we both shall live." She says and wipes a stray tear from her eye.

"Shawn do you take Olivia Mae Webb to be your lawfully wedded wife?" The officiant asks shawn.

"I, Do." I say and Olivia smiles widely at me.

"Take your ring and say, with this ring, I thee wed." The officiant instructs him.

I then slide the beautiful ring onto Olivia's ring finger and say,

"With this ring, I thee wed." I say making my heart speed up.

"Olivia do you take Shawn Peter Raul Mendes to be your lawfully wedded husband?" The officiant then asks you.

"I, Do." She says and I do a little fist pump making everyone including Olivia laugh.

"Take your ring and slide it onto Shawn's finger and say, with this ring, I thee wed." He instructs you.

"With this ring, I thee wed." Olivia says after sliding the silver band onto my ring finger. She then squeezes my hand gently and bringing it up to her lips in a quick loving kiss. It's now the moment everyone and I have been waiting for, our first kiss as a married couple.

"I now pronounce you Husband and Wife, you may now kiss your bride." The officiant speaks and I don't have to think twice before i'm bringing her lips to meet mine in a sweet kiss. Olivia wrapped her left arm around my waist as I kissed her for a few moments. I hear cheers and applause from the audience as we have just been married. She pulls away from the kiss and the officiant speaks once more.

"I wish you two a long and happy marriage, now ya I present to you for the first time Mr. and Mrs. Mendes!" He says as Olivia and I turn to face the crowd and I pull out intertwined hands in the air. I kiss her once more but very briefly before we both walk down the aisle together smiling and waving to everyone in the seats.

We go and take our wedding photos and then make our way to the reception celebration and join everyone else.

"May I welcome for the second time Mr. and Mrs. Mendes!" The DJ says as Olivia and I run out hand in hand while laughing.

"Can I have everyone's attention, it's now time for the Mother of the Groom and Son dance so if Shawn and Karen would make their way to the dance floor please." The DJ says and I stand from my seat and meet my mother on the dance floor.

The music of "I Hope You Dance" by Lee Ann Womack begins playing through the speakers and my mom takes my right hand in hers and wraps her other arm around my waist. We begin swaying in slow circles, I can tell that she's trying not to cry. We talk about today and all the sweet memories we share and she's smiling up at me. I'm also smiling down at her and my heart just turns into a puddle at how much I love her.

"Now if we could have the Bride and her Father make their way to the dance floor for your dance." The announcer says into the mic.

Olivia stands and makes her way to meet her dad on the dance floor. Her dad takes her hand in his and places his other hand around her upper waist. She lay her head on his chest, and the song "To Make You Feel My Love" by Garth Brooks starts playing. They begin swaying back and forth slowly in a circle until the song ends.

"Now it's time for the Bride and Grooms first dance so please Mr. and Mrs. Mendes make your way to the dance floor." The announcer announces.

Olivia and I both stand hand in hand and walk to the center of the dance floor. I smile down at her and she does the same, I wrap my arms around her waist, and her wrap around my neck. We lock eyes and the chords to "Stone" by Alessia Cara start playing and she could tell that they weren't through the speakers.

Liv turns her head and sees Alessia and her band playing her favorite song. She gasps and covers her mouth with her hands, and looks at me.

"You planned this. Oh my god thank you so much." She says in shock, and I laugh at her reaction.

"Yeah I wanted it to be extra special, and Alessia was all for it." I say taking her face in my hands and kiss her sweetly.

She breaks the kiss and and lays her head on my shoulder and hold her closer to me. She hears me sing the lyrics of the song as she just listens to my steady heart beat. We both slow dance to the song and I feel absolutely happy. I wouldn't trade this moment for the world and I want to freeze time and just stay here and hold her in my arms forever.

The song comes to an end and you kiss Olivia one more time before walking back to your seats hand in hand.

"And now for the Maid of Honor and Best Man Speeches so Selena and Brian come and get a mic." The announcer asks them nicely. Selena gets up and grabs a mic and so does Brian. Brian tells Selena she can go first.

"Ok so as some of you know me and Olivia have been best friends since she was 16 and I was 23. You see I didn't really care that she was a lot younger than me, she was really mature and grown for a sixteen year old, and that's because she's faced things that no one should ever have to face. Olivia is the single most loving person I've ever met, she is one of the kindest people I'll ever have the pleasure of knowing and being friends with I love her like a sister and would do anything for her. Olivia loves with her whole heart and it's so beautiful. Ok enough about the friendship stuff and onto the mildly embarrassing stuff. Sorry Olivia but you know I love you a lot. Ok so a few days after Olivia had finished her spring semester at Lee I called her up and asked her to be my plus one to this little event called the "Met Gala" keep in mind it's an event that a lot of celebrities go to. At first she was hesitant but ended up say yes and I told I already had her dress and shoes waiting for her. I did this because I knew that she was really drained emotionally because of college and that she needed a break and I thought it'd be fun to have my best friend with me. So we got all dolled up and got to the carpet, not even five minuets after being there I spotted Shawn a couple people a head of us, and I pointed him out to her knowing that she absolutely loved him and his music. So I asked her if she wanted to meet him, she excited said yes and we made our way towards him. So, I called his name and got his attention and Olivia started to walk over to meet him, but being the clutz that she is tripped over her dress and into his arms. I laughed at her obviously, but then I saw the best thing that could ever happen to her, Shawn caught her and steadied her and looked at her as if she had hung the start and the moon. It was then that I knew that they weren't just to people meeting for the first time but that they were quiet possibly soul mates. So here's to you Olivia and Shawn May your marriage be filled with joy, many moments of laughter, even some sad moments so you can really live in the happy moments. I love you both and wish you all the best in life." Selena ends her speech on a very sweet note, but the whole speech made Olivia shed a few tears.

"Thank you Selena, we both love you so much, you've always been such a great friend to me and Shawn." Liv says to her as she gives the mic back and sits down beside you. It's now Brian's turn to give his Best Man Speech.

"I have no idea how I'm going to follow that, thank you Selena that was a beautiful speech. Ok so, Shawn and myself go way way back, we've been friends since we were young and there have been many good and bad moments we've faced as friends. I remember the time he told me he was going off and going Magcon and I was ecstatic for him, but I was also sad that he was leaving. I remember when he got signed to Island Records and then his first headlining tour and how he asked me to join him on it. We had the best times in that tour and the next two tours after that as well. But there's one night I specifically remember and it was the night of the Met Gala when he met Olivia. He called me up after the event and gushed about how he met the most beautiful woman he'd ever seen in his life, and I joked with him about it, but he was like no I'm being one hundred percent serious and then proceeded to tell me that he was going to marry her one day, little did I know that he would later start dating her, and then marry her a year later. So, here's to you Shawn and Olivia I wish you a happy marriage and I hope one day you'll have beautiful kids who'll call me Uncle Brian." Brian finished his speech with a small joke making us both laugh out loud.

We then get up and make our way to the cake and cute it. Once the piece of cake is on the plate we each eat a little bit. Olivia picks up the rest of the piece of cake and smears it on my face and my face contorts in shock. She's laughing at me so I pull her face up to mine and rub the cake on my face onto hers too. She laughs and then pulls me into a kiss most likely tasting the cake and icing covering my lips.

Olivia's mother hands us some napkins to clean the cake off of our faces. And after that we open the dance floor to anyone and everyone who wants to dance. After about forty five minutes of everyone dancing the dance floor is cleared and it's time for the garter and bouquet toss.

Brian pulls a chair onto the middle of the dance floor and Olivia sits in it with her hands covering her face. I walk over and kneel down in front of her and smile up at her. I finally pull the skirt of her dress over my head and slowly run my hands up her knees to her upper thighs. I kiss just below where the garter is placed around her thigh and then I drag it down her leg with my teeth.

I remove my head from under her dress and I'm careful not to flash her body to anyone, and then drop the garter from my mouth into my hands. I close my eyes and fling it from my fingers in the direction of the guys. Connor was the one who caught and that alone made me laugh. Olivia threw her bouquet and Aaliyah caught it which made me get a little protective of her.

After a little more dancing it was time to actually leave because we had a flight to catch. We asked everyone to grab a sparkler and line up outside. We waited a few minutes and finally made our way to the exit and saw everyone with lit up sparklers and we started running through the line of people. Halfway down the line, I stop and pull Olivia into a loving kiss and then quickly proceed to the car with my beautiful wife.

HWM: Bonus Chapter (Met Gala’s & VMA’s 2018/19

Shawn's POV

May 7, 2018

Tiffany texted me at 5:00PM (PST) and asked me to come to her hotel so she can start getting me ready for the Met Gala tonight at 7:00PM. After I got ready I would be meeting up with my beautiful date Hailey Baldwin. (I know what you're thinking, eeeew yeah I don't like her either, I'm sorry it's only to make the story more accurate)

I arrive at the hotel and Tiffany meets me in the lobby and leads me up to her room where she has everything prepared and ready to go. Tiff sits me down in a chair and lets Anna do her work on my hair, she does a kinda slicked back look making me look like Prince Charming.

Once Anna is done Tiffany tells me to change into the suit pants and under shirt. Once that's dine she helps me into the suit jacket and adds a few final touches before she takes a picture of me in my suit. I do have to say I look great in my suit. My outfit for tonight is a maroon and black Tommy Hilfiger suit with a white undershirt and black dress shoes.

It's now 6PM and I'm heading over to pick up Hailey from her apartment here in New York. She had reached out on Twitter and asked if I would like to attend as her date tonight and I happily obliged to her request. I arrived at her door just as she was having finishing touches to her outfit and make up. She is wearing a stunning grey dress with a long train also styled by Tommy Hilfiger.

"You look beautiful Hailey." I tell her and she smiles and walks to join me.

"You look very handsome Shawn, thanks for being my date tonight, but just know it's only as friends right? I'm still very much into Justin." She says to me and I cringe on the inside but smile and knod on the outside.

"Yeah I know, don't worry I won't get in the way of you two, but yeah thanks for asking we'll have fun as friends tonight." I say to her calmly and politely not trying to make her mad.

"Ok, well now that we've settled that are you ready to go?" Hailey asks in a snotty voice.

"Oh yeah let's go we don't want to be late." I say and escort and help her into the car making sure not to close her dress in the door no matter how much I wanted to.

After a ten minute awkward silent car ride we've arrived at the Met and are being escorted to the red carpet by some security. We are lined up behind Hailee Steinfeld, and Kendal Jenner. Hailey chars with them and every now and then I chime in so I'm not totally silent all night.

Everyone is now walking but are spread out a couple minutes after each other. It's our turn to start walking on the carpet and as soon as photographers and fans spot us the shouting and flashing begins. We stop every few feet to pose and take pictures, after a few minutes I'm looking around and Gigi Hadid is on the carpet behind us but that's not what caught my attention.

No, what caught my attention was Selena Gomez and her guest/date. She looked absolutely beautiful and I want to know who she is. Like is she Selena's friend? She must be if she's here with her. I turn my attention back to taking photos with Hailey on my arm and by my side. After walking a few more feet I hear a voice call my name.

I turn in the direction of the voice and am met with Selena, I wave her over to me. Hailey steps to the side not wanting to be rude. Selena grabs her friend's hand and brings her over with her. Her friend stands a little to the side and behind Selena.

"Hey Shawn, I wanted to say hi and introduce my best friend Olivia. She's a big fan of yours and is excited to meet you tonight." Selena says gesturing to her friend who's name i now know.

Olivia takes a few steps forward to extend her hand to me, but she ends tripping on the front of her long burgundy dress.

I instinctively reach out and catch her before she falls and completely embarrasses herself. I steady her and make sure she's ok, she looking at her feet trying to cover her now red filled cheeks. I hear Hailey snicker at her tripping behind me and I turn to look at her and frown at her for being rude.

She seems really nervous and I get it, It must be her first time at an event like this and they can be nerve racking for sure. So, I don't make a big deal out of it so to ease the her embarrassment I joke with her by telling her a cheesy pick up line.

"I guess you can't help falling for me huh?" I say to her jokingly, she laughed at what I said and looked at me and smiled, her smile is beautiful.

"Yeah, I guess so, sorry I didn't mean to trip on you." She says while blushing red.

"It's alright it happens no need to be embarrassed about it," I say in a calm voice trying not to make her even more nervous.

I forgot that I was still holding onto her arms, I slowly release her and she smooths her small hands down her dress and gathers herself. Selena was just watching us interact and holding in a small laugh at her friend.

"oh wow look we're wearing the same color, personally I think it suit you better if I'm being honest." She points out very nervously but smiles at the observation she's just made.

"I beg to differ you look beautiful in Burgundy, it really is your color." I compliment the beautiful young woman standing before me, as Selena just watches with amusement on her face.

"Why thank you, that means a lot coming from you, anyways we don't want to keep you and Hailey too long, it was truly wonderful meeting you thank you for catching me and being so kind." She says smiling slightly looking down to her feet trying to hide her blush.

"You're welcome, and it was absolutely amazing meeting you too any friend of Selena's is a friend of mine, I hope we'll run into each other again soon." I say before pulling her in for a quick hug, and kissing her cheek innocently.

After our sweet person to person interaction Hailey puts her and through mine and we walk away from the two sweet girls. Once we're out of earshot from them I speak up.

"How could you laugh at her? That was really rude of you and didn't make the situation any better." I say to Hailey in scolding tone.

"It was funny, I mean who trips at the Met Gala, like seriously who was she anyway?" Hailey says with a rude and snotty attitude.

"Well, for one she's Selena's best friend, and second she's my fan and it was probably her first time at an event like this and plenty of people, celebrity or not, trip at events like this so show some kindness." I say snapping at her in defense of Olivia.

"Well it's very obvious it was her first time that's for sure." Hailey says snapping back.

"So what if it was, you still shouldn't have laughed at her, it was rude and just gross behavior." I say to her getting even more mad.

"Ok I'm sorry for laughing that was wrong of me, and I did feel bad for her I hope she doesn't trip anymore and has a great night." Hailey day but I can't tell it's an empty apology.

We finish walking on the carpet and into the building and enjoy the rest of our night, but I know now that I'm not ever going to an event like this with her ever again. Like c'mon how can you be that rude to someone you don't even know. Her attitude this whole nights had been awful and has shown me her true colors.

The night comes to an end after another few hours and I'm just ready to get back to my hotel room and go to sleep. Once I drop Hailey back off at her apartment I drive to my hotel and change into some sweatpants and a white t-shirt and fall into the bed after turning the lights out. I fell asleep thinking of Olivia how I now no longer could get off my mind.

I was heading over to Tiffany's hotel from my own hotel so, can get ready for the VMA's. It's now 5:00PM and the show starts at 8:00PM so I have to be ready by 6:45PM so, I can't get on the carpet early and be on time. I arrive and Anna gets to work first doing my hair and then just a little bit of concealer under my eyes.

Once she was finished with me she sent my right over to Tiffany and I changed into my suit pants and undershirt. I put my shoes on and Tiff helped me into my suit jacket and sent me on my way.

I arrived at the carpet around 7:15PM so kinda early and I was walking and stopping for photos doing my thing.

I was pulled into an interview, and while answering questions I felt like someone was looking at him the whole time so, I quickly turned and looked to my right and saw the very familiar face of Olivia Webb. I smile at her and realize I haven't seen her in almost two months and she still looks as beautiful when I first met her.

She is wearing a beautiful dark green dress and is looking absolutely stunning.

I then turn my attention back to the interview and finish it quickly and continue on the carpet. I hope she approaches me, but if she doesn't I'll find her inside and say hi. I walk a few feet down the carpet and stop for a photo when I feel a small hand on my arm gaining my attention, it's Olivia she come over to me.

"Hello Olivia, I was wondering if you were going to come say hello you look absolutely stunning tonight." I say to her and I can see her smile and blush at my comment.

"Hi Shawn, how've you been? Thank you, you don't look too bad either, and I couldn't not say hello to you after seeing you on the carpet." She asks and then compliments me making me smile at her.

"I'm doing really well, and I told you we'd run into each other again." I say to her and laugh at how right I was.

"Yeah you did and I'm glad we ran into each other you're a very nice person to be around." She says making me smirk at her.

"Am I now? Are you flirting with me?" I ask her jokingly trying to purposefully make her a little nervous, because she's cute when she's nervous.

"No, just stating a fact, sorry if I gave you the wrong impression." Olivia says to me justifying why she said it.

"I was just kidding, but thank you so much that means a lot coming from you Olivia." I say reassuring her that I was messing with her.

"Hey would you like to walk the rest of the carpet with me?" I ask her surprising myself with this newfound confidence.

"Yes that would be lovely, thank you so much." Olivia answers me and I smile and hold my arm out for her to hold and join me on the rest of the carpet.

We finish walking the carpet and I walk her to her seat and come to find out she's siting next to me. I smile excitedly and happy to know she'll be siting by me the whole night.

"Wow, I didn't expect to be sitting next you, much less even see you tonight, but I guess everything happens for a reason." She says jokingly and I go along with it.

Wow, Olivia my feelings are hurt." I say holding my hand over my heart and laughing. She laughs along with me as well.

Her laugh is beautiful and adorable oh boy I can feel myself falling already, but it's way too soon to actually tell. Can what I'm feeling for her be real? Or is just all in my head? I don't know but I want to dive in and explore my feelings even more so I'm gonna ask her out after the show ends.

"Hey I'm up to preforming first so I've got to go backstage soon, but once I'm done I'll be back here and we can talk some more when I get back ok." I tell her hoping she understands why I have to leave her so soon.

"Yeah that's sounds like a good plan, and go kill it like you always do." Olivia says to me understanding why I have to leave her, and even encourages me.

I smile at her before walking away from her heading backstage to get ready to open the VMA's with my new single "In My Blood" from my new Album "Shawn Mendes." For a few moments I forgot that she was a fan of mine, but smiled so big when I did remember.

I performed my song and every now and then I would look at her and she was so mesmerized by me singing. She made me smile and is the reason I love doing what I do. I finished my performance and made my way back stage and then finally back to my seat.

"That was so amazing and literally the best thing I've seen all night, you killed it for sure I'm so proud of you." She says to me with a very happy and proud tone of voice.

"Thank you Olivia, I appreciate that so much." I say with gratitude.

"So, how long have you been a fan of mine?" I ask her curious to know just how long she's been a fan.

"I've been a fan since the early days and by early days I mean since Vine." Olivia tells me and my eyes go wide in shock! Holy Shit she's been a fan since basically the beginning of my career.

"I really like "There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back," but I love them all so much so it is really hard for me to choose a favorite." She says making me smile, I love that one too but I love it because the energy I and crowd feel when I perform it is unreal.

"I like that one a lot too, the energy and the rush I feel when I perform is like nothing else I've felt." I say and she smiles at me like she wants to hear me talk about it some more.

After other awards and performances the night came to a close and everyone was either going home or to an after party. So I get the courage to ask he what her plans are.

"So are you going to any after parties tonight?" I ask her quickly.

"No I wasn't really planning on it why?" She says and then asks me.

"Because I was thinking you could go to one with me?" I say nervous while scratching my neck hoping her answer is a yes.

"Yeah sure I wouldn't mind going with you." Olivia says while smiling sweetly.

"Ok cool, well lets go, I have a car waiting to take us." I mentally let out a sigh of relief.

Once we get there I offer to get her a drink and she asks for a water, while I'm getting her and myself a drink I see her and Camila talking and laughing. That sight made me smile and when our drink arrived I got them and took them over to our little table. She thanked me for the water and room it from me.

Camila left to go dance with some other celebrities here. Olivia and I kept talking and laughing until I had this feeling I should ask her out.

"I don't know about you and how you feel, but after tonight and getting to know you better I would like to take you on a date sometime if that's alright with you?" I ramble on before asking her what I've been dying to ask her since I saw her on the carpet.

"Well after how well you have treated me and taken care of me tonight who am I to say no, so yes Shawn I would love to go on a date with you." She says so calmly, but it makes me smile and on the inside I'm jumping, happy dancing, and pumping my fists.

You both exchange numbers and continue conversing until you're ready to get back home. After the party we get in my reserved car and the driver drives us to her apartment and I help her out of the car. I walk her to the main door of her apartment building not wanting to make her uncomfortable by walking her all the way to her actual door.

"Well I guess this is my stop, thank you again for making this night better than I ever thought it would be." She turns and says to me.

"You're very welcome I'm glad you had a great night, I did too it was so wonderful seeing you again, I'll text you soon and give you more information about our date, but until then have a nice rest of your night." I say to her before pulling her in for a big hug.

After our hug I kiss her cheek and make my way back to my car and the driver drives off in the direction of my hotel. I get in and change into my pajamas, turn the lights off, and fall in the bed and go to sleep thinking yet again of Olivia. She's all I've been thinking of and I'm not complaining one bit.

Olivia and I flew in to New York two days ago in preparation for the Met Gala this year and luckily we got a room. Today is the day and we're both on a tight schedule. At around 5PM Tiffany called me and asked us both to come over to start getting ready for tonight.

We both go over to Tiff's hotel and the hair and make up team started working on Liv first. Once they were done with Olivia she walked out of the room and told me it was my turn. I went in and sat in the open chair and Anna started in my hair. She slicked it back to make it look like my dads hairstyle and paint gold in my hair. She finished my hair and sent me to get dressed in my suit.

"You look absolutely stunning Olivia, like oh my god you're so beautiful in that dress, I can't wait to have you walk on the carpet with me so I can show everyone my beautiful girlfriend." I says getting excited and smiling.

"Awe Shawn that's super sweet, and I love your hair and the gold in it, that's amazing and you look just as good as me and I bet you'll look even better when you're in your suit." She says lovingly and kissing his cheek softly trying not to ruin your lipstick.

I got dressed in my black Saint Laurent suit pants and undershirt. Then Tiffany helped me into my suit jacket and sent me out to go see Olivia.

After a few minutes Olivia Walked out in a beautiful black floral ball gown dress, with gold eye makeup up and red lips.

"You look absolutely amazing and so handsome, omg Shawn you look way better than I do that's for sure." She tells me while making her way over to stand in front of me.

"There's no way I look better than you, because you're drop dead gorgeous in that dress, and it's not just the dress it's you, you're always beautiful to me. So no I don't look better than you but thank you for the compliment." I say lifting her head up so I can look at her when I says that to her.

I lean down and kiss her softly trying not to ruin her lipstick, but it's also passionate kiss. I pull away after a few seconds and catch my breath. If kissing her leaves me this breathless then I don't ever want to stop.

"Thank you Shawn you don't know how much that means to me, I love you so much." She says while hugging me.

We then make our way to the car and start the drive over to the Met Gala. We arrive after a few minutes and I help her out of car, making sure she doesn't trip or fall.

"Thank you that was really sweet, also I'm a little nervous but it's ok I'll be fine so long as your by my side to keep me from tripping this time." She tells me while giggling and I start giggling with her because of her little giggle.

"You're welcome, and it's ok to be nervous I am too but we'll be alright, and yeah I'll always catch you and it's ok I thought it was cute that you tripped into me it showed me that you're just as clumsy as me and it made me really like you." I say smirking at her and then giggling again at the memory of her tripping into me at last years Met Gala.

We walk onto the carpet and and we started taking photos. In the middle of one photo Olivia kisses my cheek making me smile and pull her closer to me. I laugh a little bit after she kissed my cheek.

"That was really cheeky of you Olivia, but I liked it so I'm not gonna complain." I giggle out making Liv giggle too.

"I know, but I thought why not it'd be cute and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to kiss your cheek." Liv says laughing lightly.

Liv and I finally reach the bottom of the stairs and I make a joke to make her laugh and ease her nerves.

"Are you ready for the stairs? I wouldn't want you to trip up them this time." I ask Olivia while kinda laughing but also reminding her of last year.

"Oh you got jokes do you? Ha Ha yeah I am ready, but seriously don't let me trip or fall please that would be so awful." She asks me sarcastically and then tells me seriously.

"I've got you love, you're not gonna trip or fall, I won't let you." I whisper sweetly in her ear.

We walk a little ways up the stairs and stop and are met with Jared Leto and his fake head. It kinda freaked me out, but it freaked Olivia out even more so. So, I asked to hold it and took a few pictures with it and made Olivia laugh. Her laugh is so cute how could I not want to hear that.

After that we finished walking up the stairs and are interviewed by Liza Koshy. After the fun interview we made our way into the building and enjoyed the designs and decorations. Olivia and I danced to a few sings after we ate. We both just enjoyed ourselves and had a good time.

We went to an after party and danced even more and then went back to our hotel and got ready for bed. I'm so glad to have had Olivia with this year she was a much better date than Hailey was last year that's for sure. We fell asleep in each other's arms comfortably.

A lot of things have gone into tonight such as; writing and registering a new song with my beautiful girlfriend Olivia. We had to write the lyrics and melodies, then we had to record the vocals and film the music video. Just a lot of grueling hard work and through it all Olivia has done it with her head held high and big smile, I can tell that she put her heart and soul into this song with me and I love that she's so dedicated to the song with me.

So tonight is a big night for both of us but more so for her because this is her first time being nominated for not just one category, but five different ones, or just anything music related. I want this night to be more focused on her than me because she's new to this world and I'm so used to these events. Olivia has worked hard and should be celebrated for that and I hope we win so she can experience that feeling you get when you win an award for a song. It's an amazing feeling and she deserves to feel it all the time.

We eventually head over to Tiffany's hotel to get ready for tonight and as soon as we enter her room she directs Olivia to Hair and Make Up and me to wait until Olivia's done first. Once Olivia's done I get up and walk in the direction of the hair and make up room and Olivia is exiting and almost runs into me.

"Oh my god thank you baby, if I had hit you who knows what I would've messed up, sorry I'm so clumsy." Liv giggles out trying to calm herself down.

"It's ok love don't worry about it, also you already look so beautiful, I can't wait to see your dress, go find Tiffany she's waiting for you babe." I say laughing at her.

"Thank you and Anna needs you now so have fun." Liv says blowing me a kiss before going to find Tiffany.

I walk into the room that Olivia was just in and Anna tells me to sit down and she gets to work on my hair. When she's done I walk out to meet Liv. She walks out of her changing room and I just stare at her for a few seconds in shock of how beautiful she looks in her dress and all dolled up.

"Oh baby you look absolutely breathtakingly beautiful in that dress." I tell her lovingly meaning every word.

"Thank you, I can't wait to see you in your suit, I hear we'll be matching again according to Tiff." Olivia tells me while smiling widely at me.

"We always match it's just our thing, it's an honor to match with you and I'll never get tired of it...ever." I say kissing her cheek and heading over to the room where Tiffany is waiting for me.

I change into the suit pants, and under shirt. I then put my dress shoes on and then Tiffany helps into my suit jacket. She looks over me one last time and let's me go back to Olivia. I walk up to her and wrap my arms around her waist as she does the same.

"Why, don't you look extremely handsome tonight." Liv says making me smile down at her.

"Thank you, have I told you that you look absolutely gorgeous yet?" I ask her while smirking down at her.

"Yeah but it doesn't hurt to hear more than once." She giggles out to me.

My hands move up to her sides and I start tickling her, she let's out a squeal and tries to escape me but I'm stronger then her.

"Stop, one of us is going to mess something up if you keep doing that." She says between breathes.

"Ok I'll stop, but you only if you kiss me first." I bargain. She leans in and gives me a short passionate kiss, after a few seconds she pulls away and kisses my cheek.

After that we head out to the car and I help her into the car being the gentleman I am and that my mother raised me to be. We converse and laugh on the drive over to Prudential Center and too the carpet. We arrive on the carpet at 7:25PM and start the whole carpet process.

We pose for pictures every few feet and after a few minutes of that we both are pulled into an interview with a woman with MTV. I let Olivia answer each question first because tonight is more about her than me tonight and I'm perfectly ok with that.

"So, to start this interview I've got a question for Olivia. How are you feeling and are you nervous about performing onstage tonight." The female interviewer asks Olivia. I just look at her with a smile.

"I'm feeling really good right now and I'm a little nervous, but it's a good kind of nervous. There's so many other artists and celebrities here tonight so it's hard not to be nervous, I just don't want to mess up, especially on a night like tonight I guess." Liv answers her question.

"Ok now onto Shawn, how do you feel having your lovely girlfriend with you tonight?" She asks me.

"I feel fantastic, I'm so glad she's here with me and as my girlfriend this year, she was with me last year but we were still getting to know each other, but uh yeah having her with me is the best feeling in the world." I answer her making Liv's heart melt into mush.

"Oh my god that was so cute." Liv mutters to herself but I hear her and smile.

After I had said my answer it seemed to remind Liv of something.

"how could I forget today oh my god." She said a little excitedly.

She leans over to my ear and whispers, "Did you know that tonight is the one year anniversary of our first date?"

My eyes widened is shock and then I smile and laughs a little bit, gaining the interviewers attention.

"What's going on? What'd Olivia tell you?" She asks kindly with curiosity.

"Well she just told me that she remembered that today is the one year anniversary of when we went on our first ever date, and I was shocked and then laughed at the fact that we've both been super busy promoting our song and touring that we both forgot until just now." I politely answer the interviewer.

"Yeah it wasn't until he said that he was happy I was with him as his official date this year that it clicked in my brain, last year the VMA's were held in the 20th and then we went on our date on the 26th, making today one year since then. I had to tell him because how could I not ya know, anyways sorry for interrupting your interview sorry." She tells her giggling after that last part of my answer.

"Well, that's super cute and Happy one year since your first date guys. So, Olivia, you and Shawn are performing "Señorita" together tonight, do either of you anything you want to say about that?" She tells you both and asks Liv.

"Thank you so much, and um well it's a really special song to me because I got to be apart of the writing, and recording process, and I got to really see how creative I can be. And just how hard it is to write a song, I also go to witness how Shawn comes up with Lyrics, Melodies, and everything else that goes into writing a song for him, and also the recording process was really fun to be apart of. When I got in the booth I was able to just be myself all my worried fell always and the passionate side of me really came out, but yeah I'm super excited to perform it with Shawn tonight and for the world. I think we'll have lots of fun onstage tonight." Liv answers first.

"Yeah thank you so much, and well I'll just reiterate what she said because she just said everything I could think of about the song, but yeah it's a special song to me too, and we had fun making it and we'll have fun performing it tonight." I answer after Liv.

"So, your song is nominated for five awards tonight, and Shawn you are nominated for Artist of the Year, how are y'all feeling about that?" She asks you both.

"I'm honored that in such a short time that our song has been nominated for so many awards and I hope we can go home tonight with at least one, but if not that ok to i'm just happy to be here and to know that people love our song so much, and also for Artist of the Year I'm truly honored to be in that category, I'm feeling really good about tonight." I answer this one first, because Liv's too shocked to speak right away.

"Well for me I was just given the information about being nominated so I'm a little shocked right now. I feel like I'm gonna try and make a name for myself after this because I have always wanted to have a career in music. not just as his girlfriend, and I'm lucky enough to have my name associated with Shawn's in music business and not just as his girlfriend but as his equal on this beautiful song. This is my first time being nominated for any award and I'm truly honored and blessed by not on my having one nomination but five. Wow, I'm so beyond honored and super happy to hear that." Olivia wipes her eyes of tears that fell from her eyes, she still looks beautiful even when crying.

"Sorry, I'm really emotional, I just never thought that I would ever be able to live my dream of being a singer and making a name for myself and with my best friend by my side to guide me through it. I'm honored to have a song that's nominated and I hope we can take at least one home with us too." Liv answers while trying not to cry again.

"Awe well, I hope you can take one home too, and thank you for you time, I'll let you get on with the rest of your night, enjoy it and have great time." She tells us and hugs Olivia quickly and then me.

"Thank you, you too." Liv replies before you and her walk back onto the carpet and finish making your way down the carpet and into he building.

We walk away and down the rest of the carpet and Olivia speaks up quickly and quietly.

"Holy Shit, why didn't you tell me about that, and that interview went a lot better than I thought it would." Liv says to me.

"I wanted to surprise you with it and I did that successfully, and how come?" I ask

"Well I thought she was just gonna ask me what's it's like to in a relationship with you, and not about our music and how hard we worked, but not every interviewer is like that and it's just nice to have a good interview." She tells me and I pull her closer into my side.

"Very well said Liv, also your answer about the song and performance blew me away, I was think holy shit she's amazing, also happy anniversary of our first date, I'm so glad I decided to ask you out. If I could go back in time I wouldn't change a single thing because it had lead us here together and I'm so in love with you Olivia." I say making her laugh as we walk to find your seats.

"I'm glad you did too and I wouldn't change a thing either because we're here and I love you so much and I'm so proud of how Far we've come." Liv says stopping me and taking my hands in hers and kissing me sweetly.

We get to our seats and find we're sitting next to Camila and her guests. I smile and hug her and say hello, the. I just watch as her and Olivia converse. After something Olivia says Camila called Taylor over cause she was in the row next to us. I watch as Taylor and Liv interact and it's super cute and sweet to see my girlfriend interacting with some of my friends too.

Soon the light sim letting us all know that the show is starting so we all take our seats and wait for the host to introduce Taylor as the opening performer of the night. Olivia got excited and was just smiling through the whole performance. I just watched her and I feel like I've fallen even more in love with her. She's so beautiful when she's all smiley and happy, I want to see her like this all the time.

Half way through the performance I had to go backstage to get ready for my solo performance of "If I Can't Have You." I just took my suit jacket off and changed into black slacks and got in place. I heard Bebe Rexha introduce me and I took a deep breath and started the song.

I gave my all and hoped for the best, and as I look out at the crowd I spot a very smiling Olivia who's also dancing and jumping to my performance. She really is my biggest fan isn't she? Well I love that she supports me the way she does I wouldn't be here without her.

When I finish the performance I swear I could hear her scream and cheer for me. Turns out I actually did because she's just that loud in her support for me. I leave the stage with a wave and blow a few kisses at the audience.

I get back to my seat next to her and she engulfs me in a hug. I hug her back and kiss her cheek. We sit back down and wait for Lizzo to start her performance and when it does I swear Olivia jumped out of her skin. She was dancing in a sassy manner, and was screaming the lyrics to both songs. I've never seen her like this but I absolutely love it.

Some awards are given out and we stand and clap for the winners and then the Jonas Brother's are introduced to perform "Sucker," and "Only Human." Olivia was really excited for their performance as well. She was dancing with Camila and then switched to dance with me during "Only Human."

We had so much fun singing and dancing with each other. Then Lil Nas X came out and performed as well. She didn't really care that much for his performance and I didn't wait her but oh well. After that Missy Elliott was up to perform and halfway through we both had to go backstage to get ready for our debut performance.

I change into a white wife beater tank top, black skinny jeans, black suspenders, and put my black boots on. I walk out and find Olivia all ready and dressed in the white lace dressy outfit from the Music Video. We make our way to the side of the stage and wait for Missy to finish up. When Missy is done the lights are off off on the stage and we get in our places.

I'm in the middle of the stage and Olivia is closer to end wing where some fans are sitting. We are introduced and the lights come up and the music begins playing through the speakers. Olivia starts the song and maker her way to me slowly in a seductive way. We circle each other and continue singing.

Liv stands behind me and runs her hand over my back and comes around to my front with her back facing me, I wrap my free arm around her waist and take hold of her free hand and she bends down slowly. I pull her up and spin her to face me as the music stops, and then we proceed to sing out the chorus leading up to the second verse.

We are now facing each other and centimeters apart, everyone in the room is anticipating a kiss, but we're not going to give them one. I suddenly move back but hold her arm and then pull her back into my body. We finish singing the song but this time we are sharing a mic and so close. Once the song is over Olivia bumps her nose with mine and smiles up at me.

We turn and wave goodbye to the crowd and exit the stage. Olivia turns to me and speaks quickly because of her excitement and adrenaline pumping.

"Holy Shit that was amazing, why was I nervous again? And just having you up there with me eased most of my nerves anyway but still holy shit." Liv says as the energy is now pumping through her veins.

"I know you were amazing, it's ok to feel nervous as long as you don't let it control or take over completely. And I felt the same way having you up there with me was fun and I loved every second of it, thank you for saying yes to making the song with me." I reply to her with equal excitement.

"I'm glad I said yes too, don't ever let me say no to making a song ever, because it's so worth it." She tells me.

We both go back to our separate changing areas, I change out of my outfit and back into my dark green suit that's hanging up in the room. Once I was done I walk out and wait by Olivia changing station. After a few minutes I hear her call for me.

"Hey babe, can you come help me zip up my dress please?" Olivia asks me, I smile and walk over to her changing area.

I enter and see her dress unzipped in the back so I take hold of the back and feel her warm skin graze against my fingers. I quickly zip up her dress and turn her to face me. I lean down and kiss her passionately releasing all the tension from the performance we just did together. She breaks the kiss and we just home each other close.

"I couldn't imagine doing any of this with anyone else, and not just performing, writing, or even singing songs, but life in general. I can't imagine my life without you anymore. You are my bestfriend, my heart, my lover, and so much more all in one. I love you so much Shawn." Liv says and kisses me once more. I pull away from the kiss slowly.

"I can't imagine my life without you either, I'm so glad I can call you my girlfriend, my bestfriend, my heart, and so much more too, I never want to go through life without you." I say to her and kiss her forehead before taking her hand and leading us both back to our seats.

We get back to our seats and watch Miley Cyrus perform her song "Slide Away" and then the award for Song of the Year is awarded to Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus with "Old Town Road ft. Billy Ray Cyrus." We both cheered for their win. A few more awards and performances have gone on since then and we just watched happily.

A little while later it's now time for the Best Collaboration award which we are both nominated for and have been waiting for all night. Alex Morgan, Ali Kriege, and Ashlyn Harris Present the nominees and the video rolls of this years collaborative songs. After the video one of the women in stage opens the letter with the winner.

"Shawn Mendes and Olivia Webb, with Señorita!!" They all shout happily into the mic.

I stand and look over at Olivia and she looks like she's about to cry, I hug her right before escorting and helping her up on the stage. I go to the mic first because I'm gonna keep it short and sweet so she can have longer to speak if she'd like. I know this is really special for her, not that it's not for me either it's just a little more important to her.

"First, I would like to say thank you to Olivia for agreeing to write sing, and record this song with me. We both have put in a lot of hard work and it has paid off. Second, I want to to thank my family for being so supportive, and my fans for being so loving, welcoming, and accepting of this song. I love you all so much." I say quickly so Liv can say her thank you's too.

"I would like to thank this amazing man standing up here with me not only as my boyfriend, but as my other half on this beautiful song, you have put in equally as much hard work on this song as I have, and it really has paid off. Thank you to the fans who have taken so kindly to me, and continue to believe in me. I can't thank you enough for this. I would like to also thank my mother for always telling me to never give up on my dreams no matter how silly they are, I did it momma." You blow a kiss to the camera. "We did it, thank you!!" Liv says rushingly but meant every word, she kisses my cheek before we exiting the stage and walk back stage once more.

We stop and take pictures with our award and head back to our seats are met with congratulations from Taylor and Camila. We both said thank you and the show ended not too long after that. We decided we weren't going to an after party because we were really tired. We went back to our hotel and just went to bed cuddling each other.

HWM: Bonus Chapter (AMA’s 2019)

Liv's POV

November 24, 2019

Today is the day of the AMA's and you were super excited. Tiffany had your dress and Shawn's suit all planned and ready. It's around 5:30 PM (EST) and the Carpet starts at 8:00 PM (EST). You and Shawn had rehearsed your performance yesterday afternoon so you could get the choreography down, you both had fun and goofed off after you were done.

So, Tiff texted you to come over and get ready and to bring Shawn with you as well. You both made your way over to her hotel to get ready and all the other necessary things that needed to be done before the show. Tiffany told you to sit in the chair in front of the mirror and told the make up artist to start working on you.

The nice young woman did your foundation, concealer, contour, blush, highlight, and eyebrows. After she finished your face she started on your eyes. She blended a dark purple into the creases of your eyes before she cut the crease with concealer. Then she packed a dark green onto your eyelids and smoked your lower lash line with both colors.

She did your eyeliner and your lower lashes, then she did your top (main) lashes, and then applied the false lashes to both upper lash lines. She finishes with a dark purple matte lipstick.

Once she was done she moved around you and you looked into the mirror and gasped because you loved the look and how beautiful it is.

The young woman then ushered the hairstylist over in your direction and told them that they can start working on your hair. The nice woman turned your chair with your back facing the mirror and starts working on your hair. Your hair was already dried from your shower earlier and in ringlet curls. She put your hair up in a loose bun with some loose strands over the bun and the side of your face to frame it nicely. She then put a nice beaded lace looking hairpiece in and then finished up the look.

After she did the finishing touches she turned you around and held a small mirror behind you so you could see the back of your head.

You smile at the style and the hairpiece and she let you get up out of the chair and you walked over to where Tiffany was and told her you were ready for your dress. She leads you to the room where your dress was hung up, your mouth opened in awe of how beautiful the dress she chose for you was. You begin changing out of your clothes and she takes the dress off the hanger and helps you step into the dress. Tiffany pulls the dress up your body and you slide your arms through the sleeves and she zips it up and fluffs it out for the full effect.

The dress is an emerald green lace long-sleeved dress with purple flowers and beaded work on the top of the dress. The dress has a somewhat deep neckline and a slit on your right leg and is just beautiful and fits your body type very nicely.

Tiffany then handed you your shoes and you took them from her and admired them for a few seconds before putting them on your feet. They are deep purple velvet 6-inch heels, and they match the purple flowers on your dress.

Tiffany gave you a once over and told you that you looked absolutely beautiful and that you're good to go. You walked out of the room and went to find your handsome husband, you heard his voice talking while he was getting ready so you followed his voice into a nice room with a few people helping him with his suit.

You stood in the doorway for a while just to see how long it would take him to realize you're there. After a few minutes, Shawn is now fully dressed in his dark purple and green suit, his necklaces and chest hair on display, with his hair, kinda slicked back but also looking fluffy, and his black dress shoes.

He was goofing around and said something kinda funny and you couldn't help but laugh out loud making his head turn towards you. His eyes grow wide and a big bright smile appears on his face, you smile and look down slightly while feeling the blush crawl up your neck and onto your cheeks.

"You look stunning Olivia, absolutely stunning. I'm so excited to walk this carpet and attend this event with you as my wife instead of girlfriend or fiancé, but my wife." Shawn day to you while drawing attention to you. You giggle as he pulls you into a loving side hug trying not to miss anything of yours up.

"Well you look incredibly handsome in your suit, and we're matching again, Tiffany is good at doing that with our outfits. I'm also very excited about walking the carpet and attending this event with you as my husband and me as your wife." You say to him and pull him closer to you and place your hand on his suit-clad chest.

"Yeah we are matching and I love it, also we should start heading down to the cars and leave if we want to make it on time," Shawn tells you before leading you down to the car and helping you into it before he gets in himself.

You, Shawn, Jake, and Andrew are all talking and laughing at jokes that have been told on the drive over to the Microsoft Theatre. It's now 6:25 PM (EST) and you have just arrived on the carpet. You had arrived on the carpet just a few people after your best friend Selena Gomez who you're most excited to see perform after years of her trying to stay out of the drama and spot light.

You and Shawn walk along the red carpet and are met with the screams and shouts of photographers and fans who are excited to see you both. You smile at the cameras for a few seconds and then wave to some fans who are calling out to you. Shawn was doing the same thing for a few minutes and then he leaned over and whispered a funny joke in your ear to make you laugh and smile more naturally.

You walk every few feet and stop to pose for pictures with your handsome husband. He wraps his left arm around your waist and pulled you into him and kissed the side of your head. You closed your eyes taking in the feel of his lips on your temple and your left hand moving to his chest and your right on his waist. You open your eyes and cameras are shuttering and flashes are filling your vision.

After walking some more you and Shawn are pulled into an interview with AJ Gibson and Lauren Jauregui, you kind of smooth out your dress before the interview starts and Shawn takes hold of your hand after you are done fixing your dress.

"Hello, watchers at home Lauren and I are here with Shawn Mendes and his lovely wife Olivia Mendes!" AJ Gibson says to the camera and you both wave to it and say your hellos while holding mics.

"Well I must say it's so good to see you again Shawn it's been a while but I'm glad to be able to say hi and also see you both perform tonight, speaking of are either of you nervous about that?" Lauren says and then asks.

"Um I'm a little nervous because I'm still getting used to coming to these events with Shawn, but other than that I think I'm prepared and ready to kill it with my wonderful husband right beside me." You say and smile at Shawn.

"Yeah I'm a little nervous, but we've also performed this a couple of times so I'm not too worried, but yeah I'm ready to kill it on stage with my wife," Shawn says and pulls you into his side.

"Well we're both certainly excited to watch that performance also I must say you both look absolutely amazing, may I ask who you're both wearing tonight?" AJ asks you both after telling you how excited he was.

"I am wearing a Paul Smith suit with a teal and pink Marvell Von Berlin undershirt," Shawn says being a little happy he actually remembered the names Tiffany told him.

"He looks so good in the suit too, and I am wearing a Teuta Matoshi Dress and Violet Nubuck Purple Suede heels." You say and then tell them who your wearing and pulling the dress up to reveal your purple shoes.

"Well, you both certainly look fabulous. So, you're both nominated for Collaboration of the Year, and are also Grammy Nominated How does that feel?" Lauren asks the two of you.

"Oh I'm honored to be nominated tonight and alongside such great artists too, also I can't put into word how grateful and honored I feel to be nominated for a Grammy especially with my husband, he did most of the hard work." You say to Lauren and AJ and throw in the small joke at the end. They laugh along with you and Shawn.

"Well I'm also really honored to be nominated tonight and I'm grateful to be nominated again for the Grammy's it truly is an honor and I couldn't be happier to be nominated alongside my beautiful hardworking wife." He says answering the question like the pro he is.

"Who are you guys most excited to see perform tonight?" AJ asks you and Shawn.

"Oh, I'm excited to see Taylor Swift, Halsey, and Camila Cabello perform tonight for sure," Shawn answers quickly and excitedly.

"I'm excited to see Selena Gomez perform, she's one of my best friends and one of the reasons I met Shawn in the first place. She has been my biggest supporter for a long time and she's like a sister to me so I'm really happy to see her performing tonight." You tell them very passionately.

"I heard she was having a few nerves for her performance so your support will mean a lot to her. Have you seen her at all yet?" Lauren tells you and asks.

"Oh well I'll just have to find her and give her some encouragement, and no I haven't but I bet she's looking like the Goddess that she is." You say making everyone laugh.

"Well thank you both for stopping to talk, I hope you have a wonderful even and we'll see you inside once the show starts. Good luck and have fun." AJ and Lauren say to you both and letting go you continue down the carpet.

You walk the rest of the carpet with Shawn and enter the big building and find your seats after greeting a few other attending celebrities.

"Hey Shawn I'm gonna go find Selena and try to cheer her up or calm her down ok, I'll be back before she opens the show." You tell him sweetly.

"Ok well I'm gonna find a restroom and I'll meet you back here." He says and walks off in the direction of the bathrooms and you make your way backstage to find Selena.

You made your way right outside of the dressing room with her name on it ready to knock and surprise her when you hear a couple of voices telling her to breathe deeply in and out. You know in your heart and by instinct that she's having a panic attack that she has them normally because it's a side effect of her Lupus. You hurriedly knock on the door knowing you know how to stop her panic attacks.

The door opens and reveals her manager and you look past him and see Selena having trouble breathing. Her manager recognizes you and lets you past him and into the small room, you immediately go into help mode and ask her if you can touch her and hold her. She looks up at you and nods yes and you sit on the floor and scoot close to her and just hold her.

"Selena I need you to breath love, like me," you say while taking a deep breath in and slowly exhaling. You do that a few more times before she's following your breathing pattern.

"Just like that, you're doing so well. Ok, now I need you to name five things you see in the room right now." You tell her kindly.

"I see my dress, the white walls, the mirror, my make up, and the lights on the mirror." She says with a shaky voice.

"Good now I need you to tell me four things you can physically touch." You tell her trying to help her as best as you can.

"I can touch the floor, the chair, the dress, and your soft skin." She says her voice a little less shaky and more clear.

"Ok, now I need you to tell me three things you can hear right now." You say stroking your hands through her hair in a calming manner.

"I can hear the mumbled voices of everyone in the building, the fan blowing in the room, and my blood pumping." She says beginning to calm down a little bit.

"Ok, now two things you can smell." You say this time looking into her beautiful brown eyes.

"I can smell your perfume and mine." She says holding your hands in hers.

"Ok, now one thing you can taste." You tell her hoping this technique worked for her.

"I can taste the peppermint from the mint I just ate not too long ago." She says and you feel her heart rate slow to a normal speed.

"Selena look at me." You tell her sweetly and she does just that.

"You are so amazing and you have absolutely nothing to worry about, you are going to absolutely kill it out there on that stage tonight, and if something goes wrong it is not the end of the world or your career. You are a strong, talented, kind, loving, and beautiful goddess and you've got this 100%. You are allowed to feel anxious or nervous about things it doesn't make you weird or not normal, you're human and this is a nerve-wracking thing but I promise you right here and right now that no matter what happens tonight you'll always be amazing and I'm so damn proud of you and I will always be here for you and support you just as you have been for me. Shawn and I will always have your back and we will always love and support you. You've got this now let's get up and get you dressed and ready to perform ok." You say to her with so much passion and meaning behind each word.

Selena wipes her face and you help her stand up from the floor, you also tell her manager that you've got this and that he can leave to give her privacy.

"Have I told you that you look stunning tonight?" You ask her while smiling.

"No, you haven't." She says laughing

"Well you do and you killed the carpet, damn if I weren't married I'd be dating you by now because you're gorgeous and have a beautiful personality as well." You joked with her and she laughed her adorable laugh that you know oh so well.

She changed out of her dress and you helped her into her new performance outfits, first the sparkly leotard and then the beautiful black dress overtop of the leotard. You hug her and kiss her on the cheek before telling her to break a leg and that you love her so much. She says thank you and that she loves you as well before making her way to the stage.

You quickly make your way back to your seat beside Shawn and sit down. You see that Camila and her guest are sitting on the same row as you guys, as well as Taylor Swift, Halsey, and reserved empty seats for Selena. You take Shawn's hand in yours as the lights dim slowly. You feel yourself getting more and more excited to watch your best friend perform her newest singles.

The lights on the stage come up and your full attention is turned towards your glowing best friend. She is in her black dress and her hair is a little wavy, she begins singing her newest song "Lose You To Love Me." You are completely captivated by her and her beautiful vocals. She's almost done with the song and you're tearing up at how raw and emotional this song is, you're so proud of the woman that your best friend has become over the last few years.

She slowly walks up the steps on stage and sings the last lyrics out and the lights dim for a few seconds so she can have a wardrobe change (which is just the dancers pulling the black dress off of her.) The lights begin again and you're screaming so loud for her as she transitions from "Lose You To Love Me" to "Look At Her Now." Once she sings out you have been singing with her but dancing to the song and just having fun.

After her performance, you are screaming and clapping along with everyone else in the building. The host Ciara comes out and performs her song "Melanin" and welcomes everyone to the show.

Chadwick Boseman presents the first award of the night for Favorite Alternative Rick Artist, and Billie Eilish wins. You stand and clap along with her family and guests, and Taylor And Halsey. It's sad that not many people stood up for her or cheered her on, she's a 17-year-old girl who's just won an amazing award and that in itself should be celebrated.

Billie quickly exits the stage and does her thing, but when she's heading back to her seat she happened to walk by you, you kindly stop her and congratulate her on her win, and give her a nice hug. Ciara gives a quick rundown of who's up next to perform, which are Lizzo, Thomas Rhett, and you and Shawn.

Constance Wu is up to present the award for Favorite Pop/Rock Song. She reads the winning name after a small speech. Halsey won the award and you went absolutely bonkers for her and her win. You loved her music, her voice, her art, just everything about Halsey and how kind she had always been to you when you encountered her. Her winning speech was everything that everyone needed to hear tonight.

Tyra Banks comes out and introduces Lizzo and Lizzo begins performing her beautiful song "Jerome" and halfway through Lizzo's performance you and Shawn went backstage and got ready for your performance.

Kane Brown introduced Thomas Rhett and he performed "Look What God Gave Her."

You are in your dressing room and changing out of your dress into your performance outfit which is a beautiful red leotard type dress with a fringe skirt. You then met back up with Shawn and he's in a black shirt and vest, black skinny jeans, and his black boots.

You go and wait for your queue to find your spots on the stage. You stand further down the stage and Shawn is closer to the audience. Once the commercial break is over and the cameras are rolling you got in place while Ciara (The Host) introduces you and Shawn.

You begin singing the opening lyrics and you beckon Shawn over to you. You make your way to him and meet him halfway, and you and him do some sexy dance moves. About halfway through your performance your standing with your back to his front and he moves your hair from your neck giving him access to it, and he dips his head closer to your neck but doesn't do anything too sexual.

You move to stand facing him and you're both singing the final lyrics, and you take out your in-ears and Shawn does the same so you can hear each other singing the last few lyrics to each other. Once the song is over you and Shawn are centimeters apart and you lean in and give him a sweet kiss before quickly breaking it and saying a thank you to the crowd by waving at them quickly.

Shawn does the same and walking off stage with you and going back to your designated dressing rooms. You change back into your original green and purple dress. Shawn changed back into his purple and green suit and you both met back up again and walked back to your seats. Before you sat down Selena caught your attention and pulled you into a loving hug.

"Thank you so much for everything you did for me tonight it means the absolute world to me that I have you in my life as a best friend." She whispers in your ear so only you can hear it. You pull her back into a tight but loving hug.

"I'll always be here for whenever you need it, you're my best friend and I would do anything for you. I was happy to help you in any way I could tonight. I am so proud of you and the woman you've become and are today. I love you so much." You whisper to her and kiss her cheek before going to your seat which is a few down from where she's sitting.

Heidi Klum and Dan Levy present the award for Favorite Pop/Rock Album, and the award was won by Taylor Swift. It was her first award of the night and you stood and cheered for her because her music had been a huge part of your childhood and you just loved her. She went up and gave a small but meaningful speech and you could just see the excitement on her face.

After she gave her speech she walked off stage and on walked David Dobrik and Maddie Hasson to introduce Kesha and Big Freedia for their performance of "Rasing He'll" and a surprise performance of "TikTok." You went nuts as TikTok started playing and you danced with Shawn and just enjoyed yourself for the rest of the performance.

Next Paula Abdul came out and introduced the very lovely Toni Braxton who performed her very beautiful hit song "Unbreak My Heart." Toni Braxton was wearing the most beautiful white Lacey mermaid styled dress and she looked like a beautiful goddess. You sang along with her as did most people but you added a little more dramatic flair to your solo performance singing to Shawn making him laugh at your goofiness which put a smile on your face.

Up next Cobie Smulders (who is a good friend of yours through the marvel cast) and Michael Ealy presented the award for Favorite Country Album, which was won by Carrie Underwood. Yet another female artist that had shaped parts of your childhood and who you adored. They surprised her with her win for Favorite Female Country Artist, you cheer along with everyone else and waited for the next thing to happen.

Ciara gave another short rundown of who would be performing next. Tyler, the Creator came out and introduced Billie Eilish who performed "All The Good Girls Go To Hell." You loved every second of her performance and basically screamed every lyric out with her. You clapped and cheered so loud once she finished singing.

It was now time for the category for Collaboration of the Year, and it was presented by Jaimee Lee Curtis and Kathrine Langford. Your heartbeat got faster and faster and everything felt like it was in slow motion, and when they called yours and Shawns name as the winners your face told it all. You were shocked but also really excited. You were up against some great artists and didn't think you were really going to win so it was even more special to you.

You and Shawn stood up and hugged each other quickly and made your way onto the stage, Shawn held your hand and made sure you didn't fall up the steps because knowing you, you would do that. You got to the mic and Shawn let you talk first because he knew it was a little more special for you and he didn't have too much to say anyway. You lean down and quick talk into her mic.

"First, I would like to thank the fans and other artists of this category, you've gotten Shawn and me to where we are now so thank you so much for that, and to the other artists, you all worked incredibly hard and made some great music I love each of your songs so much it's an honor to share a category with all of you. Second, I would like to thank Shawn's family and Mine for always being supportive of us from the start thank you guys so much it means the world to us. Third, I'd like to thank my best friend Selena Gomez who has encouraged me to be brave and to always do what makes me happy, well love I'm doing just that. And Lastly, I'd like to thank the AMA's for not only having me but also having my very talented and kind husband. Thank you all so much this one is for you guys." You say quickly after accepting your AMA's Award.

"Exactly what she said, thank you to my mendesarmy you guys are my everything I love you all so much and to everyone else who voted, this is for you guys!" Shawn briefly says before you're both ushered off the stage

You were escorted off the stage and to a little photography strip so you could have pictures with your award. You and Shawn took some beautiful pictures and then you decided to do some funny/silly ones because "why not?" You pretended to stab him with the pointy end of the award and he kinda went along with it making you laugh. He then kissed your forehead and you proceeded back to your seats.

On your way back to your seats you were stopped and hugged by Taylor and Halsey. They congratulated you, kissed your cheek, and hugged you before you told them you loved them both so much and went to sit back down with Shawn. The next award for New Artist of the Year was presented by Taran Killam and Jameela Jamil, and it was awarded to Billie Eilish. You stood up and cheered for the young girl because this was her second win of the night and you were so happy for her.

She gave a sweet speech and quickly exited the stage and this time she hugged you and thanked you for cheering her on all night. She went back to her seat and you were chilling and having a good time. Patrick Schwarzenegger and Jenna Dewan came onstage and introduced Halsey.

You were looking forward to her performance of "Graveyard" because it's a beautiful song and she's one of your all-time favorite singers. She had a beautiful setup and painted while she was performing and it was all around beautiful and fun.

After that Ciara gave another rundown and Billie introduced Green Day for their performance.

Next up was Maya Hawke and Dan+Shay to present for Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Album. The video displayed all the artists and they read off the winning name. Post Malone won with his album "Hollywood's Bleeding." You cheered so loud because you just love his music and were really happy for him.

After that Billy Porter came up and introduced Camila Cabello who performed "Living Proof." Her performance was so beautiful her and all the dancers were in white lace outfits and you adored it. She sang so beautifully and looks even more beautiful. It was so fun to watch her just have fun.

Ciara then introduced the Jonas Brothers who performed "Only Human" from their concert in Boston. You danced and sang along with them and just had fun.

Ciara briefly introduced Carole King who would then present the award for Artist of the Decade. Everyone already knew that it was awarded to Taylor Swift. She deserved all of it after the year she's had, but her music has impacted millions of people throughout the decade so it's very fitting that she won Artist of the Decade.

Carole King introduces Taylor Swift. The lights dimmed except for the stage, Taylor is now standing in a white jacket that has all of her previous album names such as; Taylor Swift, Fearless, Speak Now, Red, 1989, and Reputation, because those were all her masters but now do not belong to her. They were sold by Scott Borchetta to Scooter Braun at the beginning of July this year. She and her fans were all devastated and furious that they had done that to her.

She opened her performance with her song "The Man" from her newest album "Lover," then went right in with "Love Story" which she sang to Selena who has been her biggest supporter and best friend for years. Taylor then sang "I Knew You Were Trouble," and then went into "Blank Space," and proceeded with "Shake It Off" and had Camila and Halsey join her on stage and sing that one with her. You were dancing and singing at the top of your lungs to each song, you were just having the best time ever.

Taylor's finished her performance while sitting at a piano with all her album names on it too, she finished with "Lover" and it was all so beautiful and fun to watch and just be there for. You looked down the row and saw Selena in tears and that kinda set you off too start crying as well. You quickly walked over to Selena and just stood next to her while hugging her while you both cried in happiness for Taylor. You truly enjoyed every second of her performance and were so proud of the beautiful woman on stage accepting her award for Artist of the Decade.

Once Taylor exited the stage you stayed with Selena for a few more minutes so that you could congratulate Taylor when she came back to her seat by her parents. Jharrel Jerome and Megan Thee Stallion presented the award for Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Song, which was awarded to Lil Nas X. You clapped along with everyone else.

Taylor finally made her way over to your and Selena and she hugged Selena first and that had their beautiful moment while you waited patiently for yours. Taylor let go of Selena and looked at you and smiled so brightly, you smile back as she pulled you into a wonderful hug. You pull out of the hug and look her in eyes and open your mouth to speak to her.

"I'm so proud and happy for you, you absolutely deserve this and so much more. What they've done to you and taken from you will never be what defines you. That is your music I know it, you know it, your fans know it, and everyone by now should know it. You are wonderful, amazing, talented, beautiful, loving, kind, and so extraordinary. Your music has been a huge part of me growing and finding out who I am so thank you for that, but it's also been a wonderful journey that I have the pleasure to join as well as your fans. I have loved watching you grow in your music and as an artist, so congratulations Taylor you truly do deserve this 100%." You tell her trying not completely break down and cry out of happiness and just being proud of her.

"Thank you so much, Olivia, your words mean everything to me, and so does your friendship. You truly are a light that shines so bright, when you walk in a room it brightens by your presence and I'm so happy to call you a friend. You've been so supportive of me during this hard and complicated time, you've encouraged me to keep going and to keep fighting, and that I have and will continue to do. Thank you for also publicly supporting me when I was desperate and didn't know what else to do it means everything to me. I love you so much, so so so much. You are so so good and I'm so proud of the woman you are." Shawn whispers to you, you start crying again because of the kindness overload that you have just received from both Taylor and Shawn.

The next thing to happen was Carrie Underwood introduced Christina Aguilera and A Great Big World who performed their new song "Fall On Me" which you didn't care for this performance and just wanted it to be over with. You never really like Christina Aguilera or A Great Big World, but whatever.

Once they were done Rivers Cuomo and Pete Wentz introduced Post Malone who performed "Circles" and "Take What You Want From Me" with Ozzy Osbourne and Travis Scott. You loved both songs a lot but you're favorite is "Take What You Want From Me" and he killed that performance with Ozzy and Travis.

After the commercial break, Ciara introduced Dua Lipa who performed her new song "Don't Start Now." Her performance was fun, but you hadn't heard the song until now. It was good and you enjoyed it a lot, she's super cute but not one of your favorites but you did like her music.

Once her performance was over Misty Copeland and Ben Platt come out and presented the award for Favorite Country Song which went to Dan+Shay with "Speechless." You absolutely loved this song you played it at your wedding after your first dance with Shawn and he asked you to dance with him. The song gives you wonderful memories of your beautiful wedding and the happiness you felt that day. It made your heart swoon for your handsome husband next to you.

You cheered for them and took Shawn's hand in yours and brought it to your lips and kissed the back of it. He smiles at you and did the same thing telling you he knew exactly what you were thinking and that he was thinking the same thing. He then leaned down and kissed you sweetly but briefly.

Regina King made her way onstage to present the award for Artist of the Year. After the video of the nominees played she read the name out and it was Taylor. She won Artist of the Year and Decade tonight. You swear you screamed so loud you almost lost your voice. Before she made her way onto the stage she made sure to find Post Malone and she hugged him. It was very sweet and her speech was so beautiful and touching. That was the final award of the show tonight, but there was one more performance left.

Kelsea Ballerini one of your favorite country artists came on stage and introduced Shania Twain. Shania performed a medley of songs as well. She started with a mash-up of "Rockstar," "Stressed Out," "Shake It Off," and "God's Plan." Then she did a medley of her most popular songs such as; "You're Still The One," "Any Man Of Mine," "That Don't Impress Me Much," and lastly "Man, I Feel Like A Woman." It was a great performance but it certainly wasn't your favorite one of the night, no those go to Selena and Taylor.

The show comes to a close and you are super tired because you're pregnant, but you're just not showing yet but still being pregnant you get really tired easily especially after an entire award show. You haven't told anyone that you were pregnant yet but you didn't think you could make it to an after-party so you told Shawn to go ahead, but to be careful and to make it home safely, and that you were heading to the house here in L.A. (that he bought a while ago because he travels here a lot.)

You made it to the house and Jake walked you to the door and made sure you got in safely. He then took off to go watch Shawn and make sure he's ok for the night. You immediately took your shoes off and picked them up and walked to your shared room. You changed out of your dress and into a white bra, crop top camisole, Calvin Klein sweat pants, and some socks. You put your dress in the black dress bag and hung it up to your dress in the closet, you put your shoes in their box and laid them on the floor in the closet.

You then went into the bathroom and removed your make up and washed your face, you did your facial routine and then took your hair down and let your curls fall into an untamed manner. You then went around the house and made sure all but one light was on and then made your way back to your room and turned the main bedroom light off. You crawled in the bed and turned the bedside lamp off and shortly fell asleep soundly.

After about two hours later you feel the bed dip on the opposite side of you and you smiled knowing it was your wonderful husband by the smell of his cologne still on skin. It's now four years later and you've just turned 25 and Shawn is soon to turn 26 in two months. Your youngest child Atleigh Grace has just turned one seeing as you and her share a birthday. You and Shawn are still happily married but with four kids now, You had Manuel David four years ago in 2020. You had Isabelle Rose in the summer of 2021, Peter Gabriel was born in the summer of 2022, and finally Atleigh Grace was born in the spring of 2023. All your children are warm weather babies although three fourths are summer babies where one fourth is a spring baby like you were.

You have decorated each room to their liking and everything else is kinda the same except the back yard now has a tree house for your kids to play in and a nice big pool for the summers.

You had to get some nice dog crates/bed because Shawn didn't want them sleeping on the bed because they're both too big not that they're not allowed on the bed when no one else is because they are, just not at night when it's bed time. So you put their nice dog crate/be in your room at the under the tv hanging on the wall in front of your bed.

You love the two dogs that bring your family so much laughter and joy. You love looking at all the pictures of your beautiful family around the house and even your wedding photos in your bedroom.

You and your not so little family travel to Virginia every year either for Thanksgiving or Christmas with your parents. You just love the life you and Shawn have made for yourselves and with each other. You couldn't be happier to spend your life beside your best friend, and love husband. While you're reminiscing you hear two heavy footsteps walk into your bedroom and you look up from the book you were staring mindlessly at and smile.

"Well you can hang out with mommy and daddy, we'll be nice and make you feel better ok." You tell her and she starts smiling and Shawn takes her and lays her down on the bed and begins to tickle he little tummy.

His action makes her screech out in laughter and your heart soars at the sight of your husband and youngest daughter enjoying their time. You hear three other sets of little feet running into your room. You pick them all up and put them on the bed and let them join in on the fun. You begin tickling both little boys while Shawn was ticking both girls, after a few minutes the tickling stops and you all just lay on the bed and laugh at each other.

You look at Shawn and smile so big, you reach your hand out and grab hold of his hand and pull it to your mouth and kiss the back of his hand. He does the same with your hand and then you turn the tv on and chose a Disney movie for all of you to watch. The kids are all sitting on the bed between you and Shawn, you kiss each of their little heads, and halfway through the movie they all fell asleep. You look back at Shawn and he gives you a knowing look back.

"I wouldn't trade any of this for the world, we have four beautiful and loving children, we have two great dogs, and most of all we have a happy life because of you and your love for all of us. I truly am so happy with this life we've made and the family we have and I wouldn't trade any of that for the world. I love you so much Shawn you've given me the life I've always wanted and I couldn't be happier thank you so much." You whisper your him trying not to wake up your children sleeping soundly in your bed.

"You've had a big part in making this all happen to you know, you've got to give yourself some credit, you've birthed all of our children, you married me and made me the happiest man in the world and have given me everything I could ever want and so much more. I love you too my beautiful Olivia." He whispers back to you before picking up your two young boys and taking them to each of their rooms and putting them in bed.

You pick up Atleigh and carry her off to bed and Shawn comes back and picks up Isabelle and carries her off to bed. You both get back to your room and get ready for bed after Shawn went around the house locking doors and windows and turning lights off. You crawled under the covers and snuggled up to each other and just talked about your happy little family and the life you made for an hour before falling asleep soundly together.

Today is yours and Shawn's first marriage anniversary. You changed into your dress and put your shoes on and went to go wait in Shawn from the living room. He told you before hand that he'd come pick you up after you dropped Manny off and got ready since he was already ready for the date. Shawn talks about the songs he's written and how he's working in his next album and how most of the songs are about you and your son.

You both finish dinner and head back to the car and Shawn drives you to the next destination. You have no idea where he's taking you so you just go along with the surprise. You eventually recognize the road that's leading you to the beautiful brick building where you and Shawn got married a year ago. He gets in bed and turns his lamp off and snuggles up into you, you smile and kiss him sweetly and say goodnight before you both fell asleep quickly just like the small baby in the next room.

November 16, 2020

The past week you haven't been feeling good and you think you've come down with a stomach bug because you've been throwing up a lot and you've been really sore all over lately. You have a small suspicion about it but not big enough to freak out about it so you just went and bought two pregnancy tests from the drug store just to rule it out. You got back home and chugged a bottle of water and waited. After five minutes you had to pee so you went straight to the bathroom and took the tests.

It's all just another waiting game and you had to wait for five minutes until they were ready to be checked. After five minutes you checked and you're eyes grew so wide in surprise. The tests were both positive!

You immediately got excited and went back out to get a few things to break the news to Shawn with. And yes you brought the baby along with you and he enjoyed every minute of it. You bought a onesie that said "Oops (We Did It Again) with two hearts on it.

You laid it out in the bed and placed the two positive tests on the onesie and just waited for Shawn to get home from being at the studio.

You and Manuel just watched some baby shows in your room while waiting for Shawn to come home. You heard the front door close and called out to Shawn that you were in the bedroom. He quickly made his way to greet you and his little man, but what he didn't know was that you had a surprise for him.

Shawn walked through the doorway of your bedroom and the white onesie caught his attention and his face kinda scrunched up while he was reading the words. His eyes got so big and he broke out into a big smile. You smiled up at him and placed your hands on your stomach and rubbed it gently.

"No are you serious! You're pregnant again? We're having another baby? Oh my god we're gonna be parents again!!!" He asked so many questions in excitement and picked you up from the bed and twirled you around happily.

"Yeah baby we're having another baby!!" You giggle out and kiss his cheeks.

"Oh you've already given me a beautiful son, this time I want a little girl, but I'll be happy as long as they're healthy. You have made me so happy and given me the absolute world and I'll cherish and love you and our growing family until the day I die I promise you. I'll give you and our children everything we could ever want or need as long as you're all happy then I am too. Oh my beautiful wife look at the life we've made with each other and for each other, it's so beautiful and I'm so happy with the loving life we have together. I will protect you and the kids for the rest of our lives I swear this to you." He says picking you up and holding you around his waist.

You kiss him with every emotion you're feeling behind it and he reciprocated the kiss. You hear your little baby boy clap his hands in excitement on your bed. You turn your head and look at the big toothless grin he's showing you and Shawn. Shawn laughs and sets you down, he picks up your son and holds him up in the air and just laughs and plays with him. You smile at the sight of your two boys laughing at each other, you rub your stomach and are ready to welcome the next addition to the family. You're hoping for a girl as well but will be happy with a healthy baby.

After Shawn and Manuel were playing it's bedtime for the little one and he's surly worn out from Shawn playing with him. Shawn takes him and outs him down in his room before coming back and getting ready for bed with you. You're standing in the mirror with your shirt up just staring at your stomach.

"There's actually a baby in there, I'm so happy and excited for him or her." Shawn says as he wraps his arms around you and kisses the side of your head.

"Me too, like I can't wait for all the pain and soreness because that means our baby will be growing and getting ready to join us." You say looking at him through the mirror. You and Shawn crawl in bed after your mirror moment and slowly fall asleep with big smiles on your faces.

How We Met Chp.22

Liv's POV

August 12, 2020

Your baby bump is huge and your baby boy is about 2 weeks overdue. You've been doing anything and everything to induce yourself into labor because you want him out already. You've eaten so many spicy foods, you've beat crawled around the house, you've done some yoga and some other helpful remedies, but nothing happens. Your water hasn't broken and you haven't felt a single contraction yet.

You're exhausted and just super ready for your baby boy to come into this beautiful world and to meet his wonderful father who has helped you through all these long and hard months of pregnancy up until now. Shawn has been trying to also induce your labor too by making the greasiest and spiciest foods he can think of, also sex and lots of it, but nothing has worked so far. So I guess it's just up to time and your baby to decide when to finally come into the world.

You go about your day like any other day. You get dressed in a black stretchy camisole, military green jacket, black skinny pants, and tennis shoes.

You clean around the house a little bit and then sit and watch tv for a while. Shawn was called to studio by Andrew and you told him to go and that you'd be fine without him for a while. You made yourself some lunch after a few hours and called to make sure Shawn was ok and had eaten already and if not you could send some food over to him if he needed. He declined and said Andrew got everyone food and that he'll be home later for dinner.

After lunch and the phone all with Shawn you laid down on the couch and set an alarm for two hours from now so you could make dinner. You fell asleep quickly and slept for the whole two hours before your phone went off waking you up. You went into the kitchen and got dinner prepared, you started cooking the pasta noodles and heating the pasta sauce in another smaller pot on the stove. After 30 minutes you could smell the wonderful aroma of cooking pasta sauce. You drained the noodles and put them in a small bowl and stored the sauce once more before turning the heating of the stove off.

You heard the front door being unlocked and opened. You heard familiar footsteps enter the house as Shawn calls out for you. You tell him your in the kitchen and he makes his way to you, you look up and see Shawn standing in the entrance of the kitchen. You smile and he tells you it smells amazing. You walk around the stove counter and open the cabinet above the sink to grab two plates and you feel a large river of wetness travel down your legs and to the floor.

You gasp out catching Shawn's Attention, you look down at yourself and the now wet floor, and you suddenly feel a white hot shot of pain in between your legs. You almost fell over from the pain but Shawn was already by your side and holding you upright the second he noticed something was wrong.

"Baby what's going on? Tell me so I can help you. Is it time? Is the baby coming?" Shawn asks so many questions so fast and you can barely think because the contraction that hit you was so painful.

"Yes the baby's coming and we need to go to the hospital right now!" You say between clenched teeth trying to hold in your pain.

"Ok let me get you into the car and I'll come back and get your hospital bag and mine." He says calmly while helping you to the car and gets you into the passenger seat gently trying to ease your pain as much as he can.

Shawn runs back into the house and grabs the two hospital bags that had been ready for a month now, he comes running back out with both bags and throws them in the back seat before buckling himself and you. He pulls out of your driveway and speeds I'm the direction of the nearest hospital. Your breathing very heavily and trying to time each contraction while both hands are on the dashboard in front of you. You're hit with another contraction and you try not to scream from the pain.

Your contractions are five to seven minutes apart at the moment. Shawn finally pulls up to the emergency entrance of the hospital and runs to your side to help you out of the car and walks you into the building. You make it to the sign in desk and you tell the lady working that you're in labor and need a doctor right now. She makes the call and then gets you into a wheelchair and wheels you into an empty room. The lady and Shawn help you into the doctor's bed in the room and get you comfortable.

The doctor walks in and asks you how far apart the contractions are and you tell him 5 to 7 minutes. He asks you to go get dressed into a hospital gown quickly and to get back into the bed. Shawn helps you get changed into the hospital gown and back into the bed. Once in the bed the doctors inserts your IV and gets everything set up so he can monitor you until you're ready to give birth. Shawn left the room very shortly to make calls to his family, your family, and friends to tell them all that the baby is coming soon and that they all need to get here as soon as they all can.

Shawn enters the room after making the calls and another contraction hits you and you grab the side of the bed and grunt out in pain. The doctors asks you to put your legs in the stirrups so she can check what diameter you're dilated to. She says you're 5 centimeters dilated and that you'll have to wait until you're 10 centimeters dilated until you can push. You lay back on the bed and just wait through every painful contraction. The doctor asks if you'd like an epidural for the pain and you decline because you're already in it and you can take it.

After almost an hour she comes back in to check on you and she tells Shawn to come Stand by you and hold your hand and calls a few nurses to come in and assist her. She calmly tells you that you are now ten centimeters dilated and when you feel your next contraction to push as hard as you can. You feel your contraction approaching and when it comes she's telling you to push. You take a quick breath and push with all of your strength, you feel so much pain but push it to the back of your mind and focus on pushing.

You take a break to break and she instructs to you push again so you do as she says and give it another good push while screaming out in pain. Your hand is now basically crushing Shawn's but he's not complaining because he knows you're in a lot of pain and that you're going to bring your baby into this world. You stop pushing again to breathe and you're sweating heavily and crying from the pain.

"I can't do it, I can't it's to much I can't do it." You say repeatedly while slowly shaking your head in pain.

"Olivia look at me. You can do this, do it for me , do it for you, but most of all do it for your baby boy. He needs you and I know you can do this because you're the single most strongest women I've ever met. You can do this just a few more pushes and he'll be here with us you just gotta push through it for me and him ok. You got this so let's go. PUSH OLIVIA PUSH." Shawn says to encouraging you to keep pushing and that you do.

You push the hardest you can and you hear the doctor say she's seeing the head and a few more pushes should do it. You push with all your strength until you can't push anymore a few more times and you are met with the beautiful sound of your baby boy crying with so much life in his lungs and body. You just take deep breaths and rest a little bit as Shawn cuts the umbilical cord, and the doctors to clean, weigh and size your newborn baby boy.

Shawn comes to your side and strokes and rubs your hair and face, he kisses your cheek and softly says to you.

"You did it my love and I'm so damn proud of you. You are so damn strong and I won't ever let you forget that, and you've just given birth to the most beautiful baby boy and have made me the happiest man in the world. I love you and our little baby boy so much you both are my whole world." You smile at his soothing words and pull him into a sweet kiss.

"And you and our baby boy are mine, I couldn't have made him without you, and now that he's here I've got my two boys to be my whole world. You gave me strength today and continue to give me strength and I love you so much. I love you both so much. We're officially a family now." You say to him softly trying to save as much energy as you can.

After your little moment Shawn the doctor walks in with your baby swaddled in a light blue blanket. She slowly hands the baby to you and you hold him close to your still very sweaty body. You look down at the beautiful bundle of absolutely joy that you and Shawn made. He has a full head of hair, and he looks exactly like Shawn. His nose and lips are like yours and, but you can kind of see resemblance to you as well.

"Yeah the Mendes hair genes are insane, but he looks like you too not just me like his nose and lips, but yeah like father like son with curly hair." He says starting to giggle.

"Here take him and hold him for a while." You say and Shawn gently takes the tiny baby from your arms and into his strong arms.

Shawn looks very weary that he's going to hurt him or drop but you reassure him that he's fine and holding him correctly. Soon after you hear a small knock on the door and the doctor comes in and asks for all the baby's name for the birth certificate. You and Shawn both smile and answer her.

"His name is Manuel David Mendes." You both say to the Soviet sweetly. She fills out the birth certificate info and leaves shortly.

A few minutes after you hear another knock and shawn tells them to come in. You are both met with Karen, Manny, and Aaliyah quietly walking into the room. Their faces all light up when they see Shawn holding little Manuel in his arms. Karen makes her way over to look at him first and she's crying.

"He's so beautiful you guys, he looks just like Shawn when he was born, my first grand baby omg he's too precious. Can I hold him?" She asks and you nod to shawn and he gently hands over the small baby to Karen and she's just staring at him and smiling so big. Then the baby is passed to Manuel and when he was you and Shawn decided to tell them his name.

"His name is Manuel David Mendes after both of his amazing grandfathers." You tell them and hear small gasps from all three of them and Manny started to cry and just hold your baby a little closer to himself. You smiled at the sight and reached out to grab Shawn's hand and squeeze it gently.

After Manny held little Manny he handed him over to Aaliyah who whispered that she was going to be the best/fun Aunt making everyone giggle. You looked at Shawn and gave him the "go ahead I know you've dying to tell her look." And he got excited and sat up a little more.

"Oh Liv your parents and brothers will be here sometime tomorrow they've booked their flights and are in their way here." Karen tells you after she read a text from your mom.

"Thank you for telling me, now I need some rest because my god he took all my energy today. So y'all go have a nice family dinner and head home and come back tomorrow ok. We're not going anywhere." You tell Shawn's family sweetly and they take the hint. Aaliyah hands shawn the baby again and they all exit the room and you quickly fall sleep after telling your boys that you love them.

August 13, 2019

You wake up in the hospital bed and see shawn in another bed beside you and the baby in a little makeshift crib. You smile at the sight of your little happy family and you get up slowly still very sore from giving birth, and make your way over to Manuel and see he's wide awake and about to cry. You pick him up and gently rock him to keep him from crying. After rocking him you set him in your lap and just look at him and he looks up at you. You take in his beautiful hazel colored eyes that he got from Shawn and you smile so big.

"Are you hungry baby? Yeah well let's fix that." You quietly say to him in a baby voice and he almost cracks a smile at you.

You unbutton your hospital gown and let him latch onto your breast and start feeding him, you never felt a bond like that or something so beautiful as feeding your own infant child with your own body but it feels weird but cool at the same time. You take time to really think about the past few months and yesterday. Your body grew a human in your womb and pushed him out of you and it's now feeding him too, like the female body is such an awesome thing to be able to do that. You smile down at your baby just softly rub his little chubby baby cheeks.

After ten minutes Manuel becomes full and you button your gown back up and begin to burp him. You gently rub and pat his little back as his eyes slowly close from the soothing sensation. After a few minutes you set him back in his makeshift crib and Shawn Wakes up to the sight of you and your baby and smiles widely at you both. You turn to head back to the hospital bed and see Shawn's awake.

"Oh good morning baby, how'd you sleep last night?" You ask him sweetly making your way over to him. He stands from the bed and holds you into his warm body.

"I slept just fine how about you?" He asks you

"I slept great although I was exhausted already so yeah, and seem like little one slept just fine too. I just fed him so he should be out for a few hours until he's hungry or needs to be changed." You say giggling at how your baby is now milk drunk.

You grab the hospital bag and grab some clean clothes for both you and Shawn and ask him to help you change because you can barely bend over from the soreness and pain. He laughs and says yes and helps you change into clean sweat pants first and then leaves to change himself. You continue putting in a loos fitting white shirt with your grey sweats and black ankle socks.

Your family all showed up a few hours later and we're just passing him around and loving on yours and Shawn's newborn baby. You told them all his name and your dad and older brother we're getting teary eyed but only your moms tears were falling. You all talked and caught up and then they left for lunch and Shawn's family stopped by and said hi to all of you including baby Manuel. You all had a wonderful day filled with love all around. You were discharged and told to take it easy so you can heal but to come back in to have a checkup for both you and Manuel.

You were finally home and ready for bed, Shawn took Manuel into his nursery in the room beside yours and set him down in his new crib and then made his way into your shared room and got into bed with you. He just held you close to him and you both fell asleep quickly as new parents.

(This chapter is more of a filler chapter but still I hope you enjoy it. Thank you for reading my fanfic I love you so much.)

Liv's POV

November

You Married the man of your dreams literally, and went on the most magical honeymoon. You got him from that honeymoon and found out you were pregnant. I guess that didn't take long, I mean I can't really blame him because who would resist Shawn Mendes especially when you're married to him. You told your family and some friend that you were indeed pregnant. Your baby is the size of a sesame seed

December

You are now two months pregnant and starting to have a small baby bump, your baby is the size of a raspberry. You told more friends the news of your pregnancy and had a wonderful time at your parents house for Christmas. You and Shawn threw a great New Year's Eve Party and told your Marvel Bunch that you're expecting in 7 months.

January

You are now three months pregnant and your baby is the size of cherry, and he's growing bigger every week. Your bump is a little bigger but still not that noticeable yet unless you really look for it. You and Shawn went to New York a few time to visit friends. First you visited Selena and Chris because they're dating now and you couldn't be any happier for them both. Then you visited Camila and spent some time with her. And Finally you visited Taylor and all three of you did some sightseeing.

February

It's Grammy's season. You're now four months pregnant and your baby is as big as a peach and your bump is more visible and people can actually tell your pregnant now. Shawn was nominated for another few Grammy Awards so he was definitely going to go. You had Tiffany chose a dress for you and have it altered for your baby bump to fit it. She chose a beautiful silky nude mermaid dress with white lace work.

You and Shawn walked the carpet and were asked many questions about your baby. You both had a great time and he even won two Grammy's that night. While you were sitting and waiting for his name to be called you felt a little flutter in your stomach that you though was a kick. You took Shawn's hand in yours and put it on your bump and felt it again and his eyes go all wide and he looks at you. Turns out your baby boy was having a case of the hiccups.

March

You are now five months pregnant and your baby is the size of a mango. Your baby bump is very noticeable now and whenever you go out some women compliment you on how beautiful you look while being pregnant. Some even ask if they can feel your bump and you sometimes let them if you're not in a hurry. One day while you and Shawn were chilling on the couch you felt the familiar flutter in your stomach but stronger and harder than before. Your eyes go wide and you again take Shawn's hand and place it on your big baby bump, a few more seconds later he kicked you again and Shawn was in awe of the little man. He kicked a few more times after hearing Shawn talk to him and you.

April

You're six months pregnant now and your baby is the size of an eggplant. He's been kicking and moving more and more, but he'll kick more when he hears you or Shawn talking either to each other or to him. He's beginning to recognize your voices. You have to apply stretch mark cream because you're bump is really big and stretching you out. You sometimes feel insecure about your body but then you remember you're growing your little guy in there and that there's nothing to be insecure about. When you stand up you can't see your feet anymore because your huge baby bump. You and Shawn are really prepared for the baby to be here. You have his nursery all made up and painted, you even have a stroller already. You're beginning to experience back pain and have to sleep with a baby pillow at night.

May

You're now seven months pregnant and your baby is the size of a zucchini, your bump is huge now and you've have just wear legging and stretchy shirts and dresses, your feet have swollen up as well as your fingers. You had a Braxton Hicks contraction one night and were rushed into the hospital. Now you feel like you're more prepared for when you actually go into labor. You still sleep with a body pillow/pregnancy pillow. Shawn has been giving you more foot and back rubs lately. He's been so good to you and you fall even more in love with him as each day goes by. Shawn talks, and sings to the little man and kisses your bump every night before going to bed. You also turned 22 and you threw a big party and had Taylor sing her famous song "22" for you and you greatly appreciated her for doing that for you in your birthday.

June

You are now eight months pregnant and your baby is the size of a pineapple, your bump is even bigger and you waddle when you walk. You've grown two shoe sizes now. You feel like you're ready to pop and at this point you just want your baby out of you and into the world. When you eat you can set stuff on your bump and it's great and it makes Shawn laugh. You can feel your baby boy move all the time and sometimes he'll kick your bladder, kidney, ribcage, and other places he'll be a great soccer player one day or a really good kicker for football.

July

You are now the big nine months pregnant and your baby is as big as a Honey Dew Melon, your bump is huge and you're just waiting for your water to break so you can push him so you've been doing anything and everything to try and induce your baby boys birth. Shawn is still being the best husband in the world and he's super excited for his baby boy to get here.

August

You are nine and half months pregnant because he's a late baby, that doctor said it was perfectly normal for babies to sometimes be born later than they're supposed because it all depends on them and nature to run their course. Your baby is the size of a watermelon and your waiting any day for him to come into the world so you can spoil him. Shawn is also anxiously awaiting his arrival. You have the hospital bag packed and ready for when it actually happens. Shawn is prepared and knows what to do when it happens. Shawn turned 23 a few days before you gave birth to your baby boy so you celebrated his birthday by having your friends (famous and not famous) and family over and had a great party for him.

How We Met Chp.20

Liv's POV

December 22, 2019

About a month has gone by and you and Shawn have really gotten comfortable in your new home. You have put up cute Christmas decorations and just regular decorations around the house to make it feel more like home for the both of you. During the day you had been washing and drying yours and Shawn's clothes and packing for the both of you.

You packed many cute but warm outfits for yourself, and nice outfits for Shawn seeing as you'll be spending Christmas with yours and Shawn's family in Virginia this year. You'll all be staying at your mom and dads house because they have room for everyone and don't want anyone to spend money on a hotel when they have a perfectly spacious house available.

Your flight was at 2:30PM and it's now 12:00PM so you're rushing to finish packing and making sure everything is ready before you leave and lock your house up. Shawn was helping you and making sure you had everything as well. You were now 2 months pregnant and your baby bump is still really small but it has gotten a bit bigger and you can actually see it now.

Once you're done packing and checking to see if you have everything you and Shawn make your way to the airport and wait for your flight to be called. After 15 minutes your flight is called and you both board the plane and find your seats and wait for the plane to take off. After a four hour plane ride you arrived at the airport in Charlottesville Virginia at around 4:00PM.

You and Shawn go through baggage claim, customs, and even get a rental car to use while here for Christmas. You and Shawn got your rental car and loaded your luggage into the trunk and you give Shawn the address and directions to your parent's house. You drove past your old high school and told Shawn all about it, after another five minutes you arrive at your parents house and pull into the very occupied driveway and parked the car.

(This is just supposed to help you see what the house looks like)

Shawn grabs yours and his luggage and you both make your way up the stairs and knock on the door. A few seconds go by and your mom opens the door and greets you both with hugs and tells you to come in. You walk through the door and look around the house, nothing has really changed from when you first moved out and into your first apartment in New York.

"Wow, mom nothings changed at all. It all looks exactly like I remember it before I moved out." You say to her as your dad gets up and comes to give you a hug.

You hug your dad and he moves to hug Shawn and then help him bring your luggage to your old room. You sit on the couch and continue conversing with your mom.

"Yeah it's the same old house you remember, also remember left your room alone, other than making the bed for you and Shawn, but other than that it's the same." She tells you sweetly.

"Well I'm glad you and dad are still happy here and that nothing has really changed and all the memories we made here are still here too." You say to her and hearing multiple footsteps coming down the stairs. Shawn and your dad join you both in the living room and you all talk for a while.

"So, mom when are the boys getting here?" You ask her

"Not until 6PM cause that's when their planes land and then they're gonna drive over together." She answers you.

"Oh well that's nice, also Shawn's family will be getting here around noon tomorrow, and then we can start all the festivities." You tell her about Karen, Manny, and Aaliyah's plans.

"Ok thank you for telling me. So how've you been? Are feeling better? I know that morning sickness is a real pain." She asks you.

"Yeah I'm good and getting better and yes morning sickness sucks, but it's part of being pregnant." You answer her truthfully

About an hour later you hear a knock at the door and your mom gets up and answers the door and you hear two very familiar voices. You get up and greet your brothers with hugs and help them with their stuff. You grab your little brother Gabe's medium sized duffel bag and walk up the stairs. You head into Gabe's old room and set his duffel bag on the edge of his bed and walk back down the hallway and sown the stairs.

You all sit in the living room and watch a movie and then chat for a while before you start getting tired. Your eyes start dropping shut, Shawn notices this and he picks you up and says goodnight to everyone. He carries you upstairs and into your old room and lays you gently on the bed. He changes you into your pajamas and then pulls the covers over you, he shuts the door and changes into his pajamas and then turns the light and lamp off.

Shawn crawls in bed with you and snuggles up to you and lays his hand on your very small baby bump in a protective manor. He begins to fall asleep but not before kissing your forehead sweetly. He drifts off into a peaceful sleep, just like you did a few minutes earlier.

December 23, 2019

You and Shawn wake up at around 9:30AM and get ready for the day. Shawn was in the shower while you were brushing your hair and teeth, you finished doing that and went to pick out and outfit to wear. You picked out a tan sweater, overall skirt, black pantyhose, and black shoes.

You changed into your outfit and Shawn walked out of the shower and into your room. He picked out a black t-shirt, a burnt orange jacket, navy blue scarf, black skinny jeans, and his black boots.

He changed into his outfit and you both headed downstairs and sat in the living room and watched some tv with your dad and brothers. You all were waiting for Shawn's family to get here so you could all go out to lunch and just spend tine with each other.

After an hour you all hear a knock at the door and you get excited. Your mother answered the door and it was Shawn's family. Your mom let them in and helped take their stuff to the guest rooms. They got all settled and you hear footsteps running back down the stairs. It was Aaliyah, she had a huge smile on her face and she hugs Shawn first, and then you and you embrace her for a good few minutes.

Aaliyah lets you go and sits down on the couch and you sit right next to her and she cuddles into you once more. You smile and hold her while catching up with her.

"I guess my sister loves you more that she loves me." Shawn says with a fake hurt look on his face. You laugh at his pouting face.

"No she just hasn't seen me in a while because I never leave the house, whereas she sees you a lot more because you go to your parents' all the time. She loves you way more than me trust me." You tell him after kissing his pouty face and watch his pout turn into a big goofy grin.

"And I just love your wife so much Shawn, but I promise I love you more, how could I not you're my big brother I'll always love you." Aaliyah pipes up.

You started tearing up at Aaliyah response and before you know it your crying. Shawn takes notice and his facial features change to one of worry. You smile and signal that's you're ok.

"It's just my damn pregnancy hormones. What she said was so sweet and I can't control my emotions." You say as if it's the most normal thing ever. Shawn gets up and gets a tissue for you and hands it to you.

You wipe your eyes and then your nose. Once you're all good and under control your mom strolls in the living room and says it's time for everyone to load up cause you're going out for lunch. She picked "The Downtown Grille" on the downtown mall in Charlottesville. So, you're all going into town for lunch, and then it's up to everyone after lunch to decide what they want to do.

After lunch you wanted to show Shawn all your favorite places in Charlottesville and maybe stop in to see a few friends along the way. Everyone arrived at the restaurant and were seated, while you were waiting for the waiter you texted some of your friends and let them know you'd stop by after you had lunch with your family.

The waitress came and took your drink orders and left to go get them made. You decided you would have a simple burger and fries, and everyone else all decides what they were gonna get too. The waitress came back with your drinks and took all your meal orders and put them in. You all conversed about anything and everything while waiting for your food. After about 25 minutes your food came and you all dug in and continued to talk a little more.

After about an hour later everyone is finished and ready to go, you dad gets up to pay for lunch saying that it was on them this time. You hug your mom and tell her that you'll see her back at the house later. You and Shawn start heading to the car and Aaliyah speaks up.

"Can I go with you guys? Because I don't know anyone here and I don't want to just stay at the house by myself." She asks quickly.

"Yeah, hop in the back. I'll be showing you and Shawn my favorite places here in C'ville and also we're gonna say hi to a few of my friends cause I haven't seen them in forever is that ok with y'all?" You ask them both and look to make sure they're cool with it.

"Yeah sounds good and really exciting!" Aaliyahs says from the backseat.

"So how come you didn't stay here in Charlottesville if you love it so much, I'm just a little curious?" Shawn asks you before you start the car.

"Well a lot of things happens to me while I was here and I just couldn't stay, don't get me wrong I adore the friends I've made here and the people are amazing it's just too many bad memories here for me to stay anymore. So, I moved to New York to start over and have a clean slate, I never in a million years thought I'd end up here now but I'm so glad I did." You tell them honestly and start the car and buckle up. They both buckle up too.

"Well it's a lovely place to visit and I'm glad you moved too or else we wouldn't have met and gotten married, but I'm sorry for the bad memories you have of this place." Shawn says to you taking hold of your hand.

"I mean they're not all bad I have good memories with friends here, but they're we're just more bad than good and I needed a change and I was t go to dye my hair again for that." You says giggling at the last part of what you said.

"I'm glad you moved to Liv or else we wouldn't have met either and I'm so happy you're my sister-in-law." Aaliyah says and you try to keep you tears in and emotions at bay.

You put the car and reverse and back out of the parking spot and drive off in the direction of your old house. You drove by your old townhouse before your parents upgraded houses and moved. You parked across the street but left the car on.

"Ok so this was our old house before we all went out separate ways, my parents stayed here obviously, but yeah we lived in a very small town house and it was cramped at first, but you got used to it after a few months." You tell them and they look so surprised you loved in such a small house.

"Trust me it was small but we made do, and it wasn't all bad all three of us kids had our friends over all the time and it was great being so close to the high school and middle school." You told them trying to defend living a very small house.

"Yeah no I don't doubt that but oh my god it's so small how'd you all fit in there?" Shawn jokes making you snicker.

"It's bigger when your inside, but we can't go in because people actually live there now. Ok so next destination is the High school we'll drive around it but I don't know if we can go in since they're all on break." You tell them and drive off to your old high school parking lot.

You drove all the way around the high school and told them about the friends you had made and already had while you were here, and about some of the classes you took while in high school. After showing them your old high school you drove all the way out to your old elementary school which was about 5 minutes from your friends houses.

You showed them the small elementary school and shared the memories you made while being there too. Once your were done you drove to your grandma Maxine's house. She's not really your grandma but she always considered you and your family like they were her own. You found a spot amongst all the cars, you parked and killed the engine. You undid your seatbelt, Shawn and Aaliyah followed and did the same.

"Ok so, this is grandma Maxine's house, she's basically family and has always treated me and my family like we were. Most of my friends are all cousins or related in some way and they all come here for the holidays. So we can go in and stay for however long your comfortable staying but I did want to go in a say hi and hang out for a few minutes. Any questions?" You tell them and then ask.

"Yeah how did you meet all your friends who are related?" Aaliyahs asks

"I met them because my dad was the Youth Pastor at their church when we first moved here and they all just grew on me and took me in, we've all been friends since then." You day to her honestly.

"Wow that's awesome, ok are you ladies ready to go in now." Shawn's asks. You all get out of the car and start walking to the front door of the house when Shawn stops you.

"Wait do they know your married and pregnant?" He asks you sweetly.

"No, We didn't have enough room to invite them to the wedding, but that's fine and no they don't know I'm pregnant so I was going to tell them all tonight. Is that ok? I don't want to make you more nervous than you should be." You tell him and then ask him if he's ok with that.

"Yeah no it's fine I was just curious, ok let's go in and meet the extended family then." He says leading you to the door and making you smile.

You take the lead and walk through the door first so they all see a familiar face, once you get through the door you see familiar faces in the little front room where you spent a lot of time with Josie, Macy, Anna, Jill, and Alayna.

"Hey Livy! Oh my god how've you been?" Josie asks your getting up to give you a hug. You wrap your arms around her and hug her back.

"Hey Josie, I've been really good how about you?" You ask her with a happy smile on your face.

"I've been good, and who'd you bring with you?" She asks looking past you.

"Oh I brought my husband and my sister-in-law, Josie this is Shawn and Aaliyah." You introduce Shawn and Aaliyah to Josie.

"Hi it's really nice to meet you both, well come in and make yourselves comfortable." She says leading them both to the couches. You walk in the room and say hi to everyone else in the room as well and introduce Shawn and Aaliyah to the rest of your friends in the small front room. They all get talking very quickly and make Shawn and Aaliyah feel comfortable.

"Hey babe, I'm gonna go say hi to Grandma Maxine, and the others I'll be back in second." You tell him and he stops you for a second.

"I'll go with you, I want to meet them." He says and you both get up to go greet the others.

You walk to the back/main living room and are met with laughing and loud familiar voices. Grandma Maxine spots you before anyone else and she gets up to come say hello, she greets you with a hug and asks how you are.

"I'm doing really great Grandma, how about you how are doing since Grandaddy past?" You asks her gently trying not to make her sad.

"I'm doing as well as one can, but I've got all my family here to make me feel happy, and I'm so glad you could come and hang out with us too. So Olivia who's this you e brought with you?" She tells you making you smile that's she's doing better, and then she asks you about Shawn.

"Oh grandma this is Shawn he's my husband, we got married not too long ago." You fell her and she smiles while walking over to him, she pulls him into a hug and he hugs her back.

"Well welcome to the family Shawn we're happy to have you here and you're always welcome here." She says to him holding his hands in her own.

The whole situation is enough to make you shed a few small hormonal tears of happiness. Shawn then wiped them always and gets a napkin for you. Again you wipe your tears away and kiss his cheek and say thank you.

You make your way around the living room hugging and introducing them all to Shawn. After greeting everyone you tell grandma Maxine that you have an announcement for everyone and that she should call them all in to hear it. Everyone in the front room all gather to the main living room and wait for you to talk. You grab Shawn's hand and hold it in yours as if your asking for support in case it goes haywire.

"Well I got Grandma to call you all in here because I wanted to tell you all some very great news, but let me start by apologizing for not having you at my wedding because I truly wish you all could've been there but you would've had to fly out and stay in expensive hotels and I didn't want to put you all through that after losing Grandaddy O. We would've had a blast but you also needed to be here for one another so I'm sorry you couldn't have been there. Ok and now to the good news well me and Shawn are expecting a baby in almost 7 months from now and we're so excited and I was so nervous to tell you all but yeah I'm pregnant!" You say to all of them and for a second the whole room is silent and then everyone is cheering and laughing at the news of your pregnancy.

"Oh my god Livy I'm so happy for you, and Shawn I'm happy for you too. Just don't hurt out girl she's very special to us all and if you do you'll regret it." Grandma tells you her congratulations and turns to Shawn and gives him a little "don't hurt her speech," you laugh at his slightly scared face.

Congratulations are being thrown to you both by everyone in the room, once the money is over you and Shawn head back to the front room with all the other young adults. You converse and catch up. While you and Josie are talking you feel Shawn looking at you because it feels like a whole is being burned into the side of your face.

Shawn smiles at you and is just taking you in while you're happily talking to Josie and he swears he's falling even deeper in love with you. You grab his hand in yours and set it in your lap and run your thumbs over his soft skin. His heart jumps a little bit and he kisses the side of your head making you lean into him and smile widely.

You continue talking to everyone for another 5 minutes before you feel it's a good time to leave. You say your goodbyes to everyone and hugging them before you, Shawn, and Aaliyah walk out the door and to the car. You all get in the car and buckle up, before you back out and drive off to the next destination.

"Ok so, this next destination is going to be the last one and then we'll head back to my parents' house. You drive into the parking lot of the church your dad used to be the Youth Pastor of and it brings back every memory you made in the small house and the whole church campus. You smile and just drive around the church and tell them all different memories you have of this place. After showing them the outside of the church and the small house you finally drive back to your parents' house.

You arrive back to the house after a 20 minute drive. You all get out and make your way inside the beautiful house, you all head into the living room and find spots to sit. You and Shawn sat on the couch with your mom and Aaliyah day with hers and Shawn's parents.

"So what did you three do today?" Your mom asks you curious to know what you all got up to.

"Well I took them to all my favorite places and told them of the memories I made in those places, I also took them to Grandma Maxine's and introduced them to everyone." You tell her and she smiles at you.

"Good I'm glad, so how is Grandma doing is she doing any better?" She asks you.

"Yeah she seemed to be doing a lot better, she was really happy to see me and was happy when I told everyone that I'm married and pregnant." You tell her about grandmas happy State.

"But she was also a little sad because Grandaddy wasn't around this year, but she was happy just to have her family with her." You tell her what grandma told you.

"Well I'm glad she's doing better, did you see Pam there?" She asks your about her best friend.

"Yeah she told me to tell you that she misses you and that she'll schedule a time for you both to hang out." You tell her what Pam told you.

"Ooh I can't wait for that." She says getting exciting.

After a few more minutes of talking with everyone you start getting really tired. You say goodnight and you head up to your room. Shawn follows and flops on the bed. You change into your pajamas which are white champion hoodie, grey sweats, and some fuzzy socks.

Shawn changes into his pajamas and you both get in the bed after he turned the main room lights off, you lean over and turn the lamp light off and cuddle into Shawn and quickly fall asleep. Shawn shortly does the same after the long day you've had.

December 24, 2019

You wake up at 10:00AM and Shawn wakes up a few minutes after you. You take a shower and pick out your outfit for the day, you pick out a black long sleeve shirt, black leggings, snow boots, a white hat, and a heavy black coat for later.

You leave your hair to dry on its own after brushing it, and you don't put any make up on.

Shawn showers and picks out his outfits too, his outfit is a dark green shirt, black skinny jeans, a black scarf, his yellow, red, and black plaid coat, and his snow boots.

"So mom suggested that we go hiking because today is a good day to go and this time of year it's really beautiful with all the snow, but it's also up to you if you want to go." You tell him as he's putting his shirt on.

"Yeah joking sounds good to me, let's do it." He says to you gathering his and your coat and brings them downstairs with him.

You follow him down and then that's how your day goes, you and Shawn hiking up Skyline Drive, and having lunch up there with that view, and then stopping to get dinner after the hike and on the way back to the house. You get home and spend time playing board games and talking with your family until your about fall asleep.

You change into a black t shirt and some some grey sweats and crawl into bed,

Shawn changes into his pajamas also and turns the lights out and you both fall asleep quickly after the wry active day you've both had.

December 25, 2019

After being woken up by Aaliyah pounding in your bedroom door you and Shawn both head downstairs and opens presents and you mostly received baby clothing and maternity clothes as well. You loved all your gifts and everyone else all loved theirs too. A little bit after opening presents you all have breakfast. After breakfast you help your mom clean up breakfast and work on preparing and cooking dinner for everyone for later.

After finishing with getting everything in the oven and cleaned up, you and your mom can finally relax. You go up and get dressed for the beautiful day, Shawn does the same. You picked out a nude colored fuzzy jacket, black leggings, and snow boots in case you go outside at all.

Shawn chose his Harvard hoodie, black skinny jeans, snow boots, and a black zip up jacket.

You head back downstairs and all sit, talk, and watch tv for a couple more hours while your mom periodically checks on dinner. She calls you in to help her set everything up. You set the table and help place various foods in the middle of the table.

Your mom calls everyone in and you all take your seats. You sit between Shawn and Aaliyah and across from your little brother. Your dad says a quick prayer, and then food is being passed around and everyone in eating the wonderful food. You really just watch what's going on and listen to the different conversations in complete happiness that this is now your family. You love having your family all in one room and it certainly makes your heart happy to see Shawn getting along with your parents and brothers just like you with his.

Once dinner is over you help your mom clean up and then move to the living room for more quality family time. You sit by Shawn on one of the couches with a blanket over you both.

"So, Liv do you have any baby names yet? Or are you waiting for that?" You little brother asks you.

"I have a name picked out that I think is really special to both me and Shawn, but you'll find out what it is when he's born." You answer him while smiling.

"Well whatever you chose to name I'm sure he's gonna be a heartbreaker one day if he looks anything like his dad, I mean you're both beautiful people and your child will certainly be beautiful too." Karen says making you let out a small giggle.

"I mean if he's anything like Shawn which he will be then yeah he'll be a heartbreaker for sure." Your dad says making everyone laugh.

After about another hour everyone is getting tired and heading off to bed. You and Shawn do the same, you change into your

You chose a white long sleeve champion shirt, and some black champion sweatpants to sleep in.

Shawn changes into his pajamas and like routine he gets in bed and turns the light out and you both talk a little bit before slowly falling asleep holding each other.

December 26, 2019

You and Shawn get ready for the day after waking at 9:30AM you picked out a black and white striped shirt, a jean jacket, black skinny jeans, and your vans.

Shawn picked out his black hoodie, jean jacket, black skinny jeans, and his black boots

Shawn turns and takes in your outfit and he smiles at you, you raise your eyebrows in confusion.

"Hey we match!" He says excitedly.

"Oh my god we do, this is great I think we both look amazing and I'm not changing." You say taking in his outfit.

"I mean I'm not changing either plus I happen to like when we match." Shawn says before kissing you cheek and heading back downstairs.

You head back downstairs after Shawn and find out it's a lazy sit around and do nothing kind of day. After a while you get bored and head outside with Shawn, Aaliyah, and your brothers, you bent down and grabbed some snow and formed it into a small ball and threw it at Shawn knowing you'd start a snowball fight.

Shawns face contorts into one of shock and then quickly changes into a devious smile, he reach down and gathers some snow but his ball is a lot bigger than yours because his hands are huge. He throws it right at you and he hits you right on you left shoulder. It kinda stung but it wasn't bad and mostly funny. Your brothers then joined in on the snowball fight making you and Aaliyah hide behind on of the cars.

You and Aaliyah were overpowered by the guys and lost, but it was all worth it because it was all just really fun. You all go inside and make hot chocolate and watch "The Christmas Story" on the tv with everyone. You all had lunch after warming up and then playing "Cards Against Humanity" with your brothers, Shawn, and Aaliyah. You about died laughing from some of the answers they all put down.

After a few more rounds it's now dinner time and everyone is sitting at the dining table and enjoying the wonderful meal your mom and Karen made for everyone. After dinner you spend quality time in the living room just like every night before heading off to bed.

You get changed into your pajamas, they're just a light pink shirt, and grey sweats.

Shawn changes into his pajamas and turns the lights off before getting in bed and cuddling up to you like usual. He kisses your forehead and bids you goodnight. You kiss his cheek and do the same, you both fall asleep slowly and soundly.

December 27, 2019

Today's your last full day here with everyone because tomorrow morning you and Shawn will be flying back home. So you got up fairly early and got dressed. You picked out a cream colored sweater dress, a beige overcoat, and some beige thigh high boots.

Shawn picked out a navy blue dress shirt, black skinny jeans, his black boots, and big coat incase you all go somewhere.

You go downstairs and Shawn follows, you both sit down on the couch next to your dad in his chair. You both just talk to your dad for a while before everyone files in their own times. Once everyone's in the living room your mom tells everyone that we'll all be going over to Nortonsville (your old church) for an event that they're having in an 30 minutes.

Everyone but you and Shawn leave the room to go get ready. So you just talk to each other while everyone is getting ready.

"Well you'll get to meet some of my old church family, I haven't been back here in almost two years so yeah but it'll be fun they do this every year. There's hot chocolate, apple cider, good food, and games for the kids and teenagers. So hopefully Aaliyah will be alright and if not she can hang with us." You tell him and continue talking about the fun event y'all are going to. Everyone comes back down and gets ready to leave the house.

"Hey mom me and Shawn are gonna go ahead and go over so we'll see you there ok!" You yell to her from downstairs and walk out of the house to head over to the church.

You pull out of the driveway and drive over to the church. You arrive after 10 minutes and find a spot to park. You park and kill the engine. You look around and there's already a bunch of people here some familiar and some not. You both get out of the car and head into the basement/fellowship hall. You look around and see many people you could consider family.

You immediately start making your way over to Grandma Maxine and greet her with a warm hug. She then hugs Shawn too and he smiles and hugs her back. You feel a hand in your shoulder and you turn and see one of your favorite people. You smile so big and throw your arms around her.

"Oh Autumn it's so good to see you, it's been too long hasn't it?" You ask her but it's kinda muffled into the hug.

"It has been, but you're here now and I'm happy to see you, oh and tell me everything!" She says getting excited to here all about your new life.

"Well um when I moved to New York I already had a good friend there who made me feel very welcomed and she brought me along with her to a really huge event and I mean like A-list celebrity event. That's where I met this guy" you say and gently grab Shawn's hand in yours.

"Autumn this is my husband Shawn he's been taking really good care of me for the past year and half although we just recently got married." You say introducing your two very favorite people.

"Hi Shawn it's really nice to meet you, I'm Autumn. I'm glad she has someone to look out for her I know her time while she was here was really hard so it's good to know she has you." She says to him sweetly and he smile to her.

"Yeah she told me about it and I just wish we could've met sooner, but I'm happy that we met when we did." He says to Autumn but looks down at you cause he's so tall.

"Autumn was like a mentor to me when I lived here, she has really helped me a lot and has always been so good to me, her family has too." You tell him before continuing to catch up with Autumn.

Eventually you and Shawn made your way around the room and talking to anyone and everyone. At some point you saw your family walk through the door and Aaliyah made a B-line for you and Shawn. Finally it's time to eat and everyone lined up, so you three walked over and got in line with your family. You go through the line and pile different foods on your plates.

You find a place to sit and it ends up being by Autumn and her family and your smile grows. Her husband mike waves a hello to you and your family, you wave back and Autumn smiles at you. Your family are already telling stories and starting conversations about their time being here on the church campus.

"So Autumn there is something I did forget to tell you and it really just slipped my mind, but you should know that we'll be expecting a baby here in the next 7 months." You say likes it's casual and Autumn lets out an excited laugh.

"Oh Livy that wonderful, I'm so happy for you and Shawn oh my goodness that absolutely amazing news." She's says making you giggle out.

"I thought you'd react like that, thank you for always being here for me it truly means the world to me. You were a lifeline for me and I really appreciate it more than you'll ever know." You say holding your tears back because stupid hormones.

"Well I'm glad to have helped you, and I would do it again, anytime you need me I'm a phone call or a text away." She tells you and let's you get back to your family's conversation.

For the next hour your family are talking and laughing. You and Shawn get up and throw away your plates and make your way upstairs and you really show him the somewhat big church you grew up in. Shawn and you end up outside just walking around and saying hi to some of the kids and they're completely in awe of him because they know who he is by his music.

You just watch him interact with all the kids younger and older, it's a beautiful sight because you know that he's going to be the best father to your unborn child. You lay your hand on your small baby bump and rub it slowly. Your baby is now the size of a raspberry in your womb.

After a while you start feeling like you want to just go home, so you and Shawn make your rounds and say goodbye to people and let your parents know you're heading to the house. Shawn goes to say goodbye to kids one last time giving you time to say bye to Autumn.

"So I think I'm gonna head out, it was absolutely amazing seeing you again and it definitely won't be the last, but thank you for always being the sweet girl I know you to be. You're going to be the best mother and don't ever let go of him he's really good for you, and have a safe trip home." She tells you making you smile and you tell her goodbye and hug her before heading out to the car.

Shawn already had the car started and warmed up for you. You got in the passenger seat and he pulled out of the parking spot and drove back to your parents' house. You got to the house and you both went up and changed into your pajamas. You changed into your white champion shirt and black champion sweats.

Shawn changed into a black long sleeve shirt and some red plaid pajama pants. You both didn't go straight to bed but came back down and turned the tv and watched Christmas movies until the others arrived home.

They joined you after getting into more comfortable clothes. Aaliyah sat on the floor in front of you with her back on the couch for support. Kaden and Manny took the other couch, your brothers laid on the floor with some pillows under their heads. Your parents sat together in the loveseat.

You watched movies and talked for the rest of the night before all heading off to bed. You made sure to say your goodbyes in case you didn't get to say them tomorrow. You and Shawn got in bed and turned the lights off and huddled close to each other like usual, and slowly drifted off.

December 28, 2019

You and Shawn woke up at 7AM got dressed and started packing up all your things. You got changed into a white tank top, a grey cardigan, nude sweat pants, and some tennis shoes.

Shawn got dressed into his Harvard sweatshirt, black jeans, and his black boots.

Once everything was all packed up you and Shawn took all your stuff downstairs and set them by the door. You checked to see if anyone was awake, your mom and Aaliyah were up and talking in the kitchen.

"Hey you two were gonna head out because we have a flight to catch, but we'll see you soon. Aaliyah tell your parents that we said goodbye and we love them, and mom I'll call you or text when we land but we have to go if we want to catch the plane. Give the boys hugs and love from me." You tell them before hugging them both and saying your goodbyes.

Shawn does the same and you both grab your luggage and load it into the rental car. You get in the car and he follows you, he drives off in the direction of the airport. Your flight was scheduled for 8AM and it's a four hour plane ride so you'll be getting home roughly around 11AM.

You arrive at the airport and give the rental keys back to the company, you get your luggage and go through customs and everything and are now waiting for your flight to be called. After 30 minutes your flight was called and you both made your way to the floats and boarded the plane and found your seats.

After a four hour flight you arrived and going through customs and baggage claim you and Shawn went out for lunch before finally getting home at 12:00PM. You texted your mom that your landed and made it home safely, and made your way to the couch and plopped down onto it and let out an exasperated sigh. Shawn did the same after putting your luggage into your room. It felt good to be home, you and Shawn both ended up falling asleep on the couch for a good two hours.

You eventually got up off the couch and unpacked yours and Shawn's luggage and threw your clothes in the washing machine. You spent the day mostly relaxing and just doing nothing. You ordered take out Chinese for dinner and watched some tv. You spent the night peacefully just doing nothing with your very best friend and wonderful husband. After dinner you both went to bed and fell asleep very quickly.

December 31, 2019

Three days after you got Shawn thought it's be great to throw a New Year's Eve Party at the house because there's plenty of space for one. So it's currently 9:30PM and you're setting out snack foods, drinks, cups, and ice. People are supposed to arrive at around 10:00PM giving you 30 minutes to go and get ready while Shawn finishes up the decorations and other little things.

You speed walk to your room and pick out a cute black long sleeve shirt, black and white plaid pencil skirt, and some black thigh high boots.

Shawn was already dressed and ready, but he's wearing a nice black and white patterned shirt, black skinny jeans, and his black boots.

After you got ready you walked back out into the kitchen to make sure everything was ready and placed out. It's now 10:00PM and people are starting to show up. More and more people trickle in until your house of full of laughter and different conversations.

You spot Karen, Manny, and Aaliyah, you walk over to them and talk with them for a while before Shawn finds you and drags you to meet various other people. You are polite and talk to everyone Shawn has introduced to and some of them give you questioning looks as if to say "why did he marry you?" Or "he's with her? Why?" You shrug them off because you know Shawn loves you as much as you love him so their opinions don't matter to you.

In the corner of your eye you see a black haired small Latina in a group talking to some other familiar faces. Your smile grows and you excuse yourself from the conversation with people who don't even like you. She saved you from a bad conversation even if she didn't know it.

"Excuse me sorry but there's a guest I would like to say hello to, and it's only hospitable of me to do so as a co-host of this party." You say poiltely.

You make you way over to the very familiar Latina woman. She sees you and let's out a squeal and hugs you. You laugh and hug her back just as tight as she was.

"Hey Liv, how are you? How's pregnancy treating you?" Camila asks you excited to see you

"Hey Mila, I'm wonderful, how are you? And the pregnancy is going great no problems yet." You tell her sweetly.

"Oh and I'm so sorry to interrupt your conversation I just wanted to cone say to Camila and all of you. So, how are you all enjoying the party? Hopefully it's not too boring." You say and ask the group of people.

"It's not a problem and it's a great party thank you Livy Lou." Niall answers your questions and even calls you the nickname he assigned you when you first met him. You laugh at the name and give him a hug.

"Yeah it's a great party you and Shawn have done a great job, also thanks for inviting me I appreciate it I needed to get out and do something fun." Miley says to you smiling at you kindly.

"Oh yeah I totally get that, and y'all are always welcome here even if there's not parties going on. Our house is always open to you all, and Miley I'm sorry to hear about your divorce, but I think you're better off with out him. You've always been so independent and strong and I admire that so just do you and I wish you all the happiness in the world." You tell the group and then tell Miley. She pulls you into a good hug and you hug her and rub her back.

"Thank you, and I agree he wasn't bad but he also wasn't good for me either and we just needed to end it. So it's time to move on and live my life." She says and drinking from her cup.

"That's the spirit, anyways it was good talking to you all but I've got to cut this conversation short because there's a lot of people I have to say hello too. Enjoy the party and have a good rest of your night." You tell them and hug them all one more time before making your way around saying hello to various people.

You made your way to a very familiar circle of Marvel actors and your heart picks up in excitement. You go up and gently lay your hand on Chris Evans' back to get his attention. He turns to you, smiles and steps away from the group and brings you in for a warm hug.

"Hey Evans how've you been? We haven't seen each other since the wedding." You ask him kindly.

"I've been good really good, I went out on a date a few weeks ago with a very mutual friend of ours. How about you? How is the married life treating you?" He asks you interested in your new life.

"It's been really good, Shawn is amazing he's been treating me like a Queen since the day we started dating but that changed when we got married I don't know how but he's been treating me even better since we found out I was pregnant, but who'd you go on a date with? You ask say and try to cover up that you just gave away the big surprise.

Chris's eyes go wide and he gasps and you can see the tears already forming in his eyes because he's a very emotional guy.

"I went out with Selena, but that not what important right now, Oh my god Olivia, you're having a baby that absolutely wonderful! You're going to be a great mother." He says getting all excited and giddy.

"Yeah it was supposed to be a surprise but I guess I let that one slip oops. Do you think the others heard me? You went on a date with my best friend wow I was secretly rooting for you two to get together anyways but wow it's happening! You giggle out after asking him if the other Marvel bunch heard you and gushing over him and Selena.

"I don't think so, but I'm so happy for you Liv truly, also you're gonna let Uncle Chris babysit him or her right? And yeah she's gorgeous and I couldn't help myself so I asked her and she said yes, we're going out again after I get back after this. He asks you and tells you while wiggling his eyebrows making you laugh.

"Oh absolutely, he's gonna love his Uncle Chris for sure, I already have a Captain America onesie on my list for baby clothes, and I'm happy for you two you both deserve some good in your lives for sure." You tell him happily.

"Wait it's a boy? How do you know? Isn't it to early to find out the gender?" He asks you multiple questions

"Well we had a simple NIPT test which is sued to scan for Down Syndrome but can also be used for finding out the gender through blood work and counting how many chromosomes the baby has or will have, and we found out we're having a boy." You tell him how you found out the gender.

"Well then isn't that something, also who's gonna be godfather and godmother? Have you picked yet?" Chris asks you with hope in his eyes.

"We have chosen a godmother and godfather, but you'll find out when he born sorry but I won't spoil that surprise." You tell him smirking at him.

"Ok well let's talk to the others and tell them the great news of your bouncing baby boy." He says again making you laugh.

He pulls you closer to the group, once they see you they all stop talking and greet you separately. You give and receive many hugs from all of them.

"Hey thank you all for coming out I'm really glad to see you all, I hope you're enjoying the party?" You day and ask them shyly.

"Oh luv since when did you get all shy on us? you're never like this so what's up?" RDJ asks you curiously.

"Well if you should know Robert I've got some news for all of you that can be nerve racking, I swear it's good but still I don't know how you'll react to it." You tell him matter of factly.

"Ok so then out with it sweetheart, we'll support you and love no matter what, we're family you should know this by now." Scarlet takes your hand and tells you.

"Well me and Shawn are having a baby in 7 months from now, and I kinda already accidentally let it slip out when I was talking with Evans." You say and give a sheepish look.

"Oh my god you're having a baby, that's brilliant news another tiny person will be added to the family tree." RDJ jokes and you smile at him knowing he's really happy for you.

"Yeah, we found out through a very simple Down syndrome scan/test that it's a boy very early on. So we're having a baby boy. Yes we have a name picked out and godparents are already picked out. We also have enough baby clothes and essentials ready, but we won't say no to more marvel themes clothing for him. Now all we can do is wait for this one to finish cooking in my womb and he'll be here for us all to adore. Any questions I didn't already answer?" You tell them and then ask if they want to know anything else.

"Nope, but damn you're going to be a wonderful mother and Shawn will be a great father. He's really lucky to have you and vice versa." Scarlet says to you pulling you in for another hug.

"So do you want to sit down for a bit because you've been standing and moving since the party began?" Chris asks you.

"Yes actually my feet are killing me, I need to get off them." You tell him and he leads you to an empty couch while the Marvel Bunch follows and sits with you. You talk about baby stuff and just regular stuff as well, it's about 5 minutes to midnight and you're looking for Shawn around the room. You find him talking to Camila, Niall, and Miley, he's laughing and enjoying his time and you smile at him.

Camila caught you smiling at your handsome husband and she waves you over. You excuse yourself from your marvel friends and make you way back over to Camila and her group.

"Hey lovely lady, are you enjoying the party?" She asks you and turning Shawn's attention from Niall and Miley over to you. His smile grows tenfold and yours does too.

"Oh yeah, and by the way thank you Shawn for inviting our marvel family. I told them the news of the baby and they hounded me with many questions, mostly Evans though but I know he means well. He's happy for us both and is excited to know who we've showmen as godparents." You tell Shawn about how excited the marvel bunch are for your unborn baby.

"Well I'm glad to know they're excited, and they'll know soon enough." Shawn says to you.

"Oh and another thing Chris and Selena are sorta kinda dating, well they've been on one date and going on another when he returns home after the party." You tell him and he has surprise in his eyes.

"Really, well good they've both needed something good to happen in their lives especially since Selena is getting a lot of hate because of Justin and Hailey, which is just pointless and not needed." Shawn says taking you by surprise because he never has anything bad to say about anyone.

"Yeah but if she's going out with Chris then she'll be just fine. He'll take great care of her and treat her the way she deserves. I'm happy for both of them." You say to the group and not only Shawn.

"I agree Captain America's got her very well taken care of." Camila says making you snort out in laughter.

"Yes indeed he does." Niall pipes up.

The conversation goes into a comfortable silence as you've all run out of things to say. You hear every screams out and count down from 10...

9... you're heart picks up in speed

8... You look at Shawn and find he's already looking at you.

7... He pulls you into his body and wraps his arms around your waist.

6... You look into his beautiful brown eyes and lock your hands around his neck.

5... You both begin to sway slowly waiting impatiently to kiss each other.

4... You lay your head on his chest and just wait for time to pass.

3... He slowly moves his hands to hold your face.

2... Time ticks by slower than you've ever thought it would.

1... Shawn leans down and kisses you slow and passionately, you saver the minty taste on his lips. Your hands find his face and deepen the kiss just a little more. You pull away from the kiss and look at your very handsome husband.

"Happy New Year My Love! I hope this year will be as happy and love filled as the past 1 and 1/2 I've spent by your side first as your girlfriend, then as your fiancé, and finally as your wife and you my husband." You say to him passionately and lovingly while rubbing his face sweetly.

"Happy New Year My Queen, I will love and provide for you and our child in any way you need, I will love you until the day I die I promise." He says bringing you back into another sweet kiss.

You deepen the kiss quickly and then pull out of it just a fast because there are other people still in the room. He loosens his grip on you but keep an arm around your waist and walks over to your Marvel Family. Everyone smiles at you both and tells you happy new year.

After about another hour people started leaving and traveling safely home. A few close friends stuck around and helped you take down decorations and clean up. You thank them and send them home and wish them a happy new year. After everyone had gone you made your way to your bedroom and got into some comfier clothes. You were exhausted and your senses were overloaded by noise, you just needed some peace and quiet. You crawled under the covers and waited for Shawn to come to bed.

Shawn eventually came to bed after locking everything up and turning out lights around the house. He turns the room lights off and gets in the bed beside you and turns the lamp light off and snuggling closer to you. He pulls your back into his front and kisses your neck wishing you a good fight. After a few minutes you drift off into a well deserved sleep full state

How We Met Chp.19 Pt.2

November 28, 2019

You wake up kinda early kinda late, you smile at Shawn who's still sleeping you sit up on the bed and grab your pillow, then you hit Shawn in the face lightly a couple of times while yelling,

"IT'S TURKEY DAY, WAKE UP SHAWN!"

He groans and you stop hitting him with the soft pillow, he takes advantage of the moment and pulls you into him and you laugh out loud. He starts laughing too and he moves sit on top of you but not on your stomach because your pregnant.

He starts ticking your sides and you try to wiggle away from his grip while laughing loudly.

"Sh-awn St-Stop Pl-ease I c-can't b-breathe." You say to him between laughs.

He stops momentarily and looks into your eyes, he leans down and kisses you passionately. You reciprocate the kiss and wrap your arms around his neck and kiss for a few more moments. You break the kiss and get out of bed and go brush your teeth. After your done you picked out your outfit, it's a white t-shirt, light brown sweater cardigan, ripped jeans, and a pair of nude ankle booties to match.

Shawn brushes his teeth as well and runs his fingers through his hair to fix it for the day. He then picks out a nice white dress shirt, black skinny jeans, and his black boots.

You both head down and head over to your aunts house because you'll be having thanksgiving day there today. When you get there your mom asks if you could help in the kitchen today.

"Yeah I'd be happy to help momma, also if I get too nauseous I'll just take a small break." You tell her and head into the kitchen while Shawn gets comfortable in the living room with the rest of your family.

After hours and hours of cooking and helping around in the kitchen dinner is almost ready. You start grabbing plates and silverware and start setting the table. You feel someone come up behind you and grab a few plates and silverware from your hands, you turn and see it's just Shawn.

You and Shawn finish setting the table up and your aunt stars bring out the different cooked food and mouthwatering looking turkey. She then calls everyone in to come sit at the table. Everyone sits down and you're now siting in a seat between Shawn and Aaliyah.

"Ok we have a tradition of saying two things we're thankful for during this holiday. So, I'll start. I 'm thankful for everyone here and I'm thankful we're all able to make wonderful memories and just have a good time." You uncle says and it goes around table and it's now Shawn's turn to say a few things he's thankful for.

"Well I'm very thankful to get to know you all better, and I'm also thankful for Olivia and our growing baby." He says making you smile and grab his hand. It's now your turn to say what you're thankful for.

"Ok I'm thankful for both families here and to be able to spend such quality time with all of you. I'm also thankful for my loving husband and our unborn child." You say while rubbing your thumb over Shawn's hand.

It continues going around the table until it reaches the last person. Once they're done saying what they're thankful for food is being passed around the table and we all link hands and pray over our meal and time together. Everyone then dogs in and just enjoys the wonderful food and company.

After everyone had finished eating it back to the living room to relax and watch a movie. You and your aunt were washing dishes and placing some in the dish washer until all the dishes were cleaned, dried, and put away.

"Thank you Livy, I really appreciate the help in the kitchen today and now. You're super sweet and I really couldn't thank you enough." She said to you and hugging you gently.

"It was a pleasure to help and thank you Aunt Mandy I appreciate your kind words." You tell her while hugging her back.

You both go and join the rest of the family in the living room scattered all over the floor and couches. After about two hours everyone is chatting and having an all around good time. You are starting to get really tired and Shawn notices this and says goodbye to everyone for the both of you.

You both headed back to the hotel and got ready for bed. You picked out just a plain t-shirt and some sweatpants and changed into them. As your changing and pulling your shirt down you notice your stomach is poking out a little bit. Your eyes widen and your hands go straight to your stomach and rub over it a few times.

"Shawn come here come look at this." You call him over to you.

You lifted your shirt up again and shawn walks over to you. His eyes go straight to your stomach and he sees the small bump and his eyes go wide. He kneels down and gently presses both hands to your stomach. He leans down and kisses your stomach and you run your hands through his curly hair.

"Hey little one, I don't know if you can hear me yet but I'm you daddy and I just want you to know that me and your mommy love oh so much already. I'm going to do everything I can to give you all the love and protection you need. I love you so much little one." Shawn says to your stomach before giving it one last sweet kiss.

It takes everything in you not to cry at how cute and sweet that just was. He pulls your shirt down and picks you up, you wrap your legs around his waist and lock your ankles. He walks you both over to the bed and lays you down gently, he settles between your legs.

"God I love you so much, and damn your so beautiful. My beautiful wife growing more and more beautiful each day. Pregnancy really suits you Olivia god you're so beautiful." He says to you with a couple of fingers underneath your chin.

"I'm not the only beautiful one here, look at yourself Shawn I mean good god you're so beautiful to me." You tell him while rubbing your thumbs over his cheeks.

Shawn leans down and kisses you with so much passion behind it. You freeze for a second and then immediately reciprocate the kiss giving equally matched passion. He deepens the kiss and he messages his tongue with yours. You moan into the kiss and he smiles into your soft lips. Your hands run through his hair and his arms are wrapping around your waist.

He breaks the kiss and you're both breathing hard trying to catch your breath.

"Oh that'll never get old, you always make me feel like I'm floating and I have constant butterflies around you. Like always, you make me smile and blush all the time. I couldn't ever ask to be married to anyone better." You say holding his now smiling face in your hands.

"Well you make me feel all those things still too, and I love making you blush you're so beautiful when you get all red and embarrassed. I wouldn't ask to be married to anyone else too." He says giving yo ya sweet kiss before turning the lamp light out and snuggling back up to you. You both fell asleep fairly quickly and you both slept a really well that night.

November 29, 2019

Today's the day you leave and go back home. You got up and got dressed in comfy clothes because you didn't want to get on the plane feeling uncomfortable for 6 hours. You chose a black t-shirt, a nude fuzzy zip up jacket, black leggings, and some comfy tennis shoes.

Shawn chose a plain black shirt, his jean jacket, a navy blue scarf, black skinny jeans, and black boots.

You both packed your suitcases back up and zipped them shit and brought them with you to your uncles house. You hung out with your family for a few hours before you both had to go to the airport. You said your goodbyes to everyone and grabbed your luggage and walked out the door and loaded your stuff into the cab and drove off to the airport.

You and Shawn sit and wait for your flight to be called, you're both on your phones and scrolling through Twitter and other apps to pass the time. After about 15 minutes your flight is called and you both get up and walk to the gate and board the plane.

After six hours your plane landed and you exited safely. Shawn called a taxi while y'all were getting your stuff, you got through everything and loaded your luggage in the cab and the driver drove you both to your new home.

You and Shawn unpack your suitcases and throw your clothes in your washing machine. After that you put on one of the Harry Potter movies and just relaxed under a blanket snuggles up on the couch together. After the movie was over Shawn noticed you were already asleep so he picked you up and took you to bed.

He pulled back the comforter and laid you on the bed and pulls the comforter over you, and tucked you in. Shawn went around the house locking the door and windows, he turned lights off around the house too before finally coming to bed. He crawled under the covers and turned the lamp off and got comfortable and fell asleep peacefully next you.

December 3, 2019

You and Shawn have been living in your new house for a week now and you absolutely love it. You, your mom, and Selena were texting back and forth planning a baby shower/reveal party. You found out that you can find out the baby's gender by a simple NIPT (Noninvasive Prenatal Testing) blood test. The test is used to screen for Down Syndrome but it can also help you find out the baby's gender earlier in the pregnancy.

So you had one done at your last check up with your doctor and she got the results. You asked her to put the results in a manila folder and keep it a surprise. After leaving you mailed the folder to Selena and she texted you telling you she'd take care of the gender reveal.

Your mom was taking care of decorations and everything else, all you had to do was sit back and relax. You did just that and went to bed relaxed that night.

December 6, 2019

Today's the day of the baby shower. You got up fairly early and got ready. You picked out a white sweater, dark blue jeans, and some dark tan ankle boots.

You went downstairs and set up a foldable table in the living room after moving the furniture around to create more space. You also set out snack food and drinks.

Shawn got up shortly after you and got ready too. He's wearing his white "HEAVEN" shirt, a white fluffy zip up jacket, black skinny jeans, and his black boots.

He came walking down the stairs and greeted you with a sweet kiss before he called his mom and Aaliyah. While he was off who knows where in the house on FaceTime with his mom and sister you got a call from you momma.

Phone call: Italic=Liv Bold=Her Mom

"Hey momma, are you and Selena in Toronto yet?"

"Yeah we are, we're just about to check into the hotel now."

"Don't waste money on a hotel, you both can stay with us we've got the room right so just stay at the house."

"Are you sure? We don't want to invite ourselves to stay."

"Mom it's for two days, we'll be fine and yes I'll feel better with you in the house with us."

"Ok then I guess we'll just head on over to the house the, and just to be clear it's me, your dad, your brothers, and Selena."

"That's fine you and dad can stay in one room, Selena, Gabe and Davy, can have the other three available rooms. It's fine and I'm glad you're all going to be here for this i'm so excited."

"I know we are too, I think it's a boy. What do you think it is?"

"I think it's a boy as well, but I'll be perfectly happy if it's a girl too, I just want a healthy happy baby."

"Yeah that's all we really want is a healthy baby, but I still thinks it's gonna be a boy, and if it is have you and shawn thought of names yet?"

"Yeah we have but I'm not telling you until after I actually give Birth. So you'll just have to wait and find out."

"Ok well I'm gonna let you go, we'll be there in the next few minutes."

"Ok bye momma drive safe I love you all so much."

You ended the call and sat down in the couch and scrolled through Instagram while waiting for your parents to arrive. Shawn walked into the living room and sat next to you and did the same.

"Oh before I forget, my family and Selena are staying here for the next two days or so, is that ok with you?" You ask him after telling him they'll be staying with you guys.

"Yeah that absolutely fine, I'd rather them stay here than at a hotel, plus we have more than enough room for all of them so it works out." He says to you kindly.

You hear the doorbell get up off the couch and answer the door. It's your family and Selena you tell them to come in and make themselves comfortable. They bring in all sorts of decorations and small various finger foods. Shawn, you, Selena, and your family start decorating the house for the baby shower.

After about an hour all the decorations are up and you mom has just sent Selena to to get the cake and the gender reveal smoke bombs. Karen, Aaliyah, and Manny have just arrived and other guest are arriving and trickling through the door and all over the house. You had a section in the table in the living room where you set out the due date of the baby, it was super cute.

Selena came back with the cake and the baby reveal smoke bomb. She sets the cake on the dining room table and you go and look at it. The Cake is half baby blue and light pink with two crowns on it and the words "PRINCE" "PRINCESS" with a "?" all in gold.

There also a small basket full of Hershey's bars with the "He" colored in blue and the "She" in pink.

Your mom hands everyone who came a card that goes along with the game you will all be playing and whoever wins gets a small prize. The prize a basket full of goodies, but the game is would she rather and who know the mommy best.

You being the mommy your mom or Shawn will probably win. You look around and see a certain small black haired Latina. You walk over to her and give her a big hug. She squeals and hugs you back, you laugh at her and let her go.

"I was gonna bring you out here and tell you that I was pregnant in a special way, but we've been really busy and just lost track of time. I'm glad you came and I have something for you." You say to her while taking her hands in yours in a friendly manor.

You then let go of her and walk over to your purse by the door and grab a new ultrasound photo. You're now about 5 weeks pregnant so your baby is as big as an apple seed. You then walk back over to Camila and hand her the photo.

Her reaction is everything you hoped it would be and so much more, her eyes widened and then teared up. He lips curled up into a beautiful smile. She then launched herself around you in a warm hug. You hugged her back and just rocked back forth a few times.

"Oh my god I'm so excited for you both, Aunt Camilla is going to be the fun aunt." She says making you laugh at her excitement.

"Yes you are going to the fun aunt, and Selena will be the fun but responsible one, not that you aren't responsible it's just you've got so much energy so you'll be a really cool aunt." You say to her and walking with her into the living room again.

You and your guest all played the game and Camila and Selena tied for first place so they said they'll spilt the basket with each other. It was now time for cake, you mom cut and served everyone a piece and you all chatted and enjoyed time together. After eating cake it was time to find out if your having a baby boy or girl, everyone headed out into the cold back yard.

You and Shawn were each handed a smoke bomb looking thing and Selena counted down and then light them with a lighter. After a few seconds smoke started coming out of the smoke bombs and it was a beautiful dark blue color.

You started jumping in excitement and Shawn was just yelling and then smiling, you calmed down and leaned into Shawn and kissed him sweetly.

You're having a baby boy, a mini Shawn will be running around the house in about 8 and 1/2 months from now. You can't wait to meet your baby boy and hold him in your arms. Everyone all heads back inside and just chats until it's time to go and they all file out the door slowly after each other.

You, your mom, dad, brothers, Selena, Camila, Shawn, and his family all start cleaning up the house and taking down decorations. You put always the snack foods, drinks, and clean any dirty dishes. The others are all taking down decorations and picking up any trash left behind. After the house is clean you all sit in the living room and talk about anything and everything.

Camila, Karen, Aaliyah, and Manny have left and it's just your family, Selena, you, and Shawn just sitting and having a wonderful rest of your evening. After a while you get tired so you head off to bed and Shawn follows while everyone else goes off to their rooms. You and Shawn change into your pajamas and get in bed.

"So, we're having a little baby boy, oh my god he's gonna looks exactly like you. I get another you I'm so happy." You say to him whole smiling hugely.

"Yeah we are, and he'll get some of your features too, but he'll look mostly like me. I know I'm excited too." He says getting really excited.

He then gets on top of you and levels himself at your stomach. He places his hands on the sides of your stomach. You wonder what he's doing but your thoughts are cut off by him speaking.

"Hey baby boy, it's me your daddy. You're going to look a lot like me, but you're going to be your own person and you're going to do wonderful things and go far in life. Me and your mom will love and support your through anything and everything. We already love you so much and will continue to love you so much and we're so excited for you to be here but take your time and grow big in there bud. Again we love you sleep well little one." He speaks to the itty bitty child growing in your womb. You have tears rolling down your face from how cute that was and your hormones getting the best of you.

"Oh my god that was too precious. I can't take all this cuteness especially with my hormones getting all out of wack." You say bringing Shawn's head level to yours.

You kiss him goodnight and he turns the lamp light out and gets comfortable holding your body to his. You both drift off into a peaceful sleep.
