The way the western media reports on Gaza and the occupation you would think that "Israel is defending themselves", when in truth they fired first and even blocked supplies and fuel to Gaza for days in advance (Also blocked movement of all people including cancer patients who now can't leave and can't recieve treatment given the lack of supplies in Gaza)

And you would think there is a war with somewhat equvilant "both sides", when there are dozens of Palestinian killed, many of which are children. But there are ZERO israeli casualities. And one side is a decades long apartheid occupation commiting genocide and the other is 2 million people trapped in a densely populated open air prison under years of blockade.

This is a massacre not a conflict. Palestinian resistance is justified

there's a certain amount of privilege and naivety that comes with the people who truly believe in the phrase "you can't fight violence with violence".

What exactly are the oppressed supposed to do to protect themselves and their families and their land that's acceptable for you?

Are they supposed to sit down and write love letters?

How many more years of western media acting as though "those Arab terrorists" and one of the most advanced militaries in the world protected behind an iron dome funded by western nations are on the same level and that it's an equal conflict, are we supposed to witness?

How many international war crimes do Israel have to commit without facing a hint of consequences before it becomes clear that the majority of western nations do support Israel and do not want Palestine to be freed because it would be inconvenient for them?

How did you think we were gonna fight for Palestine?

This is a war that's been going on for decades. Not some playground shit. Palestinians have been oppressed for decades. Hundreds of innocent Palestinians are murdered every year in cold blood. Hundreds are displaced. The people of Gaza have been trapped in one of the biggest open air tightly controlled prisons for a very long time.

Realistically speaking, this horror and this war is not gonna end by Palestinians sitting down, twiddling their thumbs and hoping the state that's shown no mercy and stopped at nothing to try and erase them will show them kindness and mercy all of a sudden.

This is the same state full of civilians that go around chanting "death to Arabs" on their own holiday. The same state who's soldiers and civilians make it a tradition to attack people simply praying every ramadan.

You think those people will stop trying to gain more land and wipe out Palestinians with treaties, kind words and gifts?

When will it be acceptable for Palestinians to defend themselves and for those in Gaza to try and break free from their prison?

Word-of-mouth testimonies from our colonizers are awarded front-page headlines, breaking news, and mass hysteria. Meanwhile, video footage of our children being slaughtered, being bombarded, being pulled out of the rubble, will never receive the same attention. Even footage of Israelis urinating and stomping on the dead bodies of Palestinians did not receive any of this media coverage.

Western newspapers work overtime to elicit sympathy for settlers while painting Palestinians as terrorists. The Palestinians whose very lands these settlers have stolen and now live on. Journalists spread this misinformation, often willingly, to decontextualize decades and decades of brutality and siege. Western newspapers will not tell you about the massacres committed by the Israeli military.

Zionism is always justifiable in their eyes. Settlers can kill, kidnap and steal, as well as institutionally monopolize violence as if it's business as usual. But dare a Palestinian resist? It's clear that the international community. And the Western world has no problem with violence, only a problem with the perpetrators of that violence.

Who gets to monopolize? Who has the authority to enact that violence? In addition to all of this, there is almost no international reporters on the ground in the Gaza Strip. Meanwhile, the Palestinians in the Besie's enclave have to deal with not only there not being any electricity because Israelis have targeted electricity, but being personally targeted by airstrikes.

..Seven Palestinian journalists have been murdered by Israeli airstrikes since the beginning of the onslaught on the Gaza Strip. This very erasure is part of the reason why Palestinians resist. Mass media is preemptively conditioning you to write a blank check for Israeli genocide.

This is straight out of the playbook. They make up a lie. There is no evidence for it. Journalists spread it like wildfire. Diplomats and politics repeat it. Then a narrative is made. The general public believes it, the harm is done, and they might later admit that it never happened.

But, you do not have to be complicit in this. You do not have to justify their genocide. They are readying to wipe Gaza off of the face of the earth. And the time to mobilize support for the Palestinian cause is now.
