Completely agree! I think that may be part of why I felt so let down by where things got this series. I’m really hoping we get a S3 that goes a lot deeper into ace experiences than S2 did.

Heartstopper S2 Spoilers but…

Am I the only one who thought the ace representation sucked? In a show so centered around the experiences of queer teens it’s exhausting to once again be reduced to a “can you believe they said asexual out loud???” level of representation.

I honestly left the series feeling more dismissed and ignored than I think I would have if they hadn’t had any ace representation at all.

They’re always tryin’ to talk me out of things or just do them for me instead of waitin’ until I’ve even had a real shot. It just seemed like you… knew what that’s like is all.”
