You find a sense of peace that is hard to come by under the light

You can’t be seen by any

Not even by yourself

Then I come

Dark as a nightfall

Painting your darkness a darker shade

I join you

Our bodies intertwined

My darkness absorbed by your light

Your light scattered by my darkness

We float

Contemplating the mysteries of life, finding meaning in our existence

And when we unearth

Finally, this puzzling enigma

We must sit with this knowledge

At the very end of the world

That the stars above, hidden - unseen

Are the reminders that there is beauty

In losing myself in your light
