I'll make some real posts when I'm on my laptop but the way people talk about the righteous gemstones is like so inaccurate LOL. it isn't "succession but-" ANYTHING it is nowhere near succession in terms of story or tone or theme at alllll. I literally enjoyed the fuck out of this show I had so much fun but it's not like. Good. It's funny as fuck and the costumes and set design and performances (for the most part) are great but I mean. I love you but you are not a serious show 😭😭😭😭

Little to no meaningful commentary on the corrupt business of American evangelicalism. At worst it is actively in support of it because it makes people feel good and the people doing it have good intentions in the universe of the show. Gay couple is like 90% sexual innuendo and kind of lacks any real weight in the overall story as related to characters outside themselves. The sexism question was answered by letting the woman sing and dance at church thus avoiding anything to do with the fact that women are not seen as real church leaders. The Poors are usually the villains and the evil is defeated by killing them or converting them or throwing them into jail. Other evils include Evangelicals but Diverse. Etc.

Ok I didn't mean to say that much but ummmm. Overall I will keep watching this show and having fun. I recommend season 1 and if you're looking for some stupid fun seasons 2 and 3. I think Judy is an excellent and hilarious female television character and Keefe is one of the cutest most interesting #canon gay characters I have seen on a sitcom in a long time. Peace and love 🙏
