I know none of us really post to this blog a whole lot anymore (sorry for that, life just got in the way), but I’ve got something to say and this has the biggest platform of all my MOGAI/LIOM related accounts, so here I am. I should also say that I don’t exactly know how to word this post. Normally, when any of us have gotten involved in these situations in the past, there’s already been some amount of criticism of said thing before hand, so it was easy to just say “hey, [x]/[x] is wrong/what have you” and leave it at that. This time, though, I’ve never seen anyone else talk about this, and if they have, it’s very clearly not a known thing at the moment. I haven’t even seen any posts from the coiner of this suffix about it. So it feels (to me, at least) that I should do a little more and I’m not sure what that ‘more’ is/should be.
I should also say, I don’t intend this to be a callout of any particular user/users or to cause a witch hunt or anything like that. This is just an information post to maybe avoid another -coric situation, where it it’s become so consistently misused that it almost feels like there won’t ever be a point where it completely stops. Please don’t be mean to anyone who does the thing I’m about to talk about or anything like that. If anyone would like to kindly bring their attention to the issue, go for it, but don’t be anything less than 100% civil.
With all that out of the way, the post:
There’s veen a lot of misuse of the suffix -ica, recently, and I figured someone should clear that up. And since this account has more than 1000 followers and I’ve noticed it, I figured it should be me.
-ica is a suffix coined on November 19, 2020, by now inactive user Genderstalgia. It, along with -ical and -musica, were coined as suffixes specifically for Musicagenders. That phrase was actually used verbatim in the coining post if anyone would like to fact check me on it. It’s not a general-use, uncoined suffix, like -ic or -ian to name a few, or something like -cenic that was coing to be used for pretty much anything. It, along with its counterparts, have a very explicit, relatively narrow, meaning.
Despite that, there’s been a surge of misuse of it over the past few months to a year (the archive on here and on the site are a good bit behind, so I’m not completely up to date). Thankfully, it hasn’t gotten as vad as -coric or even -comfic, but it’s definitely an issue. To the extent that we’ve created a list for them on Genderpedia and one that has more than double digit pages, here. That page isn’t linked so anyone can go harass the coiners with terms listed there or to drive traffic to the site, it’s just to demonstrate that there is a good amount of terms that are a part of this issue. In addition to that, there are multiple terms that we haven’t archived for whatever reason (mostly just time and fluctuating dis/interest).
I don’t know what specifically I can encourage anyone do outside of a few things. Anyone who has or thinks they might have terms that misuse -ica, or any other suffix for that matter, just go check! And, if you find them, just find a different suffix! There are coined things like -cenic and, in some specific cases, -aesic, -corian, -comfin, etc. (although those last ones do have specific definitions that might not fit, so check those too) and non-coined, general things, like -ic and -ian, or even a currently-unused look-alike like -eca, -yca, or something else like that!
Also, I’d generally recommend checking to see if any kind of suffix/term ending you’ve about to use has been coined and if it would apply. I know that’s crazy hard, because of how many there are and have been coined, and scattered information, but there are some sources that can help. We have an incomplete list of affixes, here, there’s the suffixes carrd, here, and there’s the account Coiningaffixes, here.
I know, looking at the coric/comfic/etc situations, there’s no way this one post will fix everything. It’s just unrealistic to thing that. But hopefully the reach this account has and, hopefully, general encouragement of checking for coinings and being willing to change term names will do something to start to make a dent. In all of these situations!
Thank you for reading, especially this long of a post from a practically inactive account, and have a good night! - Admin Grey

Occultarius: A sub-umbrella of Dystrofare for genders related to power, occultism, magic, evil, darkness, non-mental illness caused paranoia, backstabbing, theatrics, abuse of power, etc.
Common themes, connections, and experiences in Occultarius genders include:
- Magic being used for evil, by people in power, for general nefarious reasons, and to keep bad people in power
- Glowing eyes looking out from darkness, the feeling of being watched
- Rituals, spells, magic, curses, hexes, astrology, chanting, general occult stuff
- Backstabbing, worry, paranoia, betrayal
- Velvet curtains, other velvet things, dramatic settings
- Crystals, crystal balls, tarot cards, Lenormand cards, zodiac cards
- Nighttime, darkness, shadows
- Jewelry, gems, jewels, gold, silver
- Riches, money, fame, power, notoriety, abundance, decadence
- Candles, candle circles, candles mysteriously going out
- Sparks, fire
- Blood, blood stains, daggers
- Fighting, arguing, conflict, violence
- Red, orange, yellow
- Purple, indigo, violet
- Dark colors, black, shades of grey
however, Cultaris don’t have to be related to any of these things. Due to this term being inspired by my associations with the songs The Hardest Part is the Night and Shout at the Devil, Occultarius genders do fall under the Bonjender and Cruegender umbrellas, as well as the Dystrofare umbrella, though they don’t have to actually be related to Bon Jovi, Motley Crue, or any of their music or fall under any other umbrellas, unless the coiner wishes.
The colors are inspired by my associations with the vibe of this term
This was for the twenty-ninth day of my coining event! Prompt: Shout At the Devil (Motley Crue) // The Hardest Part Is The Night (Bon Jovi)
Other information, like the related -in-nature term, quality, etc. are under the cut
No suggested pronouns

New Coining Event!
Hello and welcome to Synth’s Coining Rockin’ Event (or the “cre coining event” for the sane), a coining event entirely centered around rock music! Everything from J-Rock, to grunge, to hair metal! Any and everyone is welcome to participate! The event is going to last from May 1st to June 15!
There aren’t really any rules, just some stuff I’d like to say before we get to the prompts. Every day of the event has two prompts, in theory the first one is a more known song and the second less known and also similar/linked in some way, but I don’t know how good of a job I did at that. It’s totally cool to do both prompts or just one, going off actual relation, vibes, whatever works! I’d like to ask that no one does genders just related to the listed song or songs/albums, just so we can avoid recoinings, but everything else is up for grabs!
Everyone is free to do all days, just a couple, multiple prompts a day, whatever floats your boat!
If anyone is interested in some tags they could use to organize or find terms, I have some of those under the cut. With all that out of the way, here are the prompts!
May 1st: November Rain (Guns N’ Roses) // (Don’t Fear) The Reaper (Blue Oyster Cult) May 2nd: Smells Like Teen Spirit (Nirvana) // Slither (Velvet Revolver) May 3rd: Dream On (Aerosmith) // Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door (any version) May 4th: Girls, Girls, Girls (Motley Crue) // Talk Dirty To Me (Poison) May 5th: Welcome to the Jungle (Guns N’ Roses) // Nightrain (Guns N’ Roses) May 6th: Every Rose Has Its Thorn (Poison) // Snuff (Slipknot) May 7th: I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing (Aerosmith) // I’d Die For You (Bon Jovi) May 8th: Livin’ On A Prayer (Bon Jovi) // Viva la Gloria! Just a heads up: for any of our gender natures that are defined as “[x] in nature” instead of “[x]-related in nature” those mean that genders descried with those natures are literally that thing. Yein genders are all yellow in color/appearance, mein genders are all medium in size/appearance. Unless specified, they aren’t related to the thing or color or quality or whatever, they are that thing or color or quality or whatever. I’ve seen a few wikis getting that wrong and I wanted to clear things up. ~Mod Che

What in the soap opera is this/???? Mod Shady
Coming Clean
I was  planning on keeping this up for a bit longer, but it seems that I’ve made my point where I can with this method and have run into brick walls where I can’t.
I’ve been ‘innvolved’ in the Mogai community for about 8 years now. I havenn’t had a coininng blog unntil last year but I’ve been watching. I’ve been frustrated at the misuse of suffixes since it started happening with coric and it’s just gotten worse as it’s started happening with other suffixes (primarily comfic and aesic, with a few instances of conic. As surprising as it might sound, I really detest it and I’m most definitely not the first one to do it.
To make this clear, I’m the mind behind @coric-creation, @comfic-coining, @conic-convections, and @aesic-accumulations
I first got the idea to start coric-creation when I realized how often -coric was misused. It was admittedly late when it happened so my idea wasn’t entirely solid, but it’s clearly worked. I figured I would start a blog that grossly and consistently missuses coric and then floods the tags with it. That way, bigger coiners who actually cared would have a nearly impossible time ignoring me. And it worked.
It started with just responses on my blog, which wouldn’t have the effect I wanted. What I needed was to have those with actual platforms bring attention to it on those platforms. So I blocked anyone criticizing me on my blogs, hoping that they would post on their blogs about the missuse. In the best case-sennario, they would point out how each suffix was supposed to be used and that would help quell it. At worst, it would point others inn the direction of sources that explain how it was supposed to be used. And that worked too. As much as -coric is still missused, I’ve brought attention to it.
Then, I started realizinng that other suffixes were also missued. Either as suffixes, or as descriptors. The term that pushed me over the edge for -comfic was Spaceblancomfic. More than 100 notes and absolutely no one pointing out that it used comfic incorrectly. So comfic-coining was born. And what do you know, that got called out, too.
That was followed by Jasmiconic, I think it’s called, a term from Reddit. A gender whose definition nowhere mentions emotional attachment. So I made conic-convections. That one didn’t get much attention til recently. But since it’s not much of a problem outside of me, I don’t consider it much of a failure.
Aesic-accumulationns is a bit more interestinng. I’ve had the idea in the back of my mind since I saw Laceaesic. I just didn’t think about doing the blog til I saw Sunsetaesic show up on Genderpedia. I hadn’t created coric-creations when I saw the term, so the idea didn’t exist inn my mind when it happened. I’ve also gotten exactly the planned attention out of that one.
I was also contemplating a traumic focused blog, but it seems like Genderpedia has already taken care of that for me, so it never came to be
I’ll admit that my response to anons on aesic-accumulations wasn’t exactly my best move. I was over tired and not thinking, but it was still un-neededly childish and I’m sorry.
I’ll also admit that I went a little far with the terms on this blog and the proposal of corian and comfin centered blogs. I almost got into the headspace that I would be pre-empting this misuse. Drawing attention to it before anyone could do it genuinely and get the information out there to ward off anyone unaware of any given suffix’s definition. These were not  good ideas and I would like to apologize for those as well.
However, I won’t actually apologize for creating my other four blogs, though conic-connvections wasn’t as needed as the others. As much as the misuse of these suffixes still does exist to an extent, and likely will as long as this community lasts, I clearly got information out there that many wouldn’t have had otherwise. I will apologize for any stress or greif I’ve caused, but that’s it on this frong
I’ve unblocked everyone from all of my blogs so this can get out to anyone this concerns.
After this, I’ll be archiving all of my posts and flags and then deleting all of my posts save for this one. This one will be reblogged across all of my sideblogs and pinned. Then, they’ll be inactive. This is the last any of Mogai Tumblr will see of me. I’ll still lurk, like I always have, but I don’t feel the need to coin anymore. As much as I respect genuine coiners, this was just a tool for me and one that’s served its purpose.
Thank you for reading. If you accept this, fine. If you don’t, I can’t make you and I have nothing more to say. Goodbye.

It’s always good to see stuff you’ve coined getting this kind of attention! Figured I should pass this along in case any coiner followers would be into this! ~ Em
Page-2's Personagender Pageant
[also known as Synth's Coining Event for normal people]
I know the name is stupid, but there aren't any months or holidays (that I'm aware of) or anything that starts with a p, so this is the best I've got lmao.
I have decided two things:
1. There are not enough Personagenders
2. I would like to do a coining event
I figured it would be a good idea to combine them both, so we have this. For those who don't know, this is the definition for the umbrella term version of Personagender.
Just like a lot of other coining events, every day for a certain month(May, for this one) will have a prompt (under the cut for length) that anyone who wants can coin terms based on.
For this one, it can be more literal or just going off of the vibes- the only thing I ask is that the genders are Personagenders, though it can also fit under other umbrella terms on top of that. Also, to anyone who wants to join, you can skip days, combine terms, do multiple terms for each prompt, whatever, really, just have fun with it!
I'll be doing my best to keep up with the prompts, but I won't make too many promises ;)
I’m posting this now to give everyone time to get ready and also so I don’t forget about it in the drafts. I’ll reblog when it gets closer to time, too.
With all that out of the way, here are the prompts!!
Punk rock(er)
