Bae and I had Efo Riro (Nigerian Spinach Stew) with Fufu we made together for dinner last night. Making Fufu is an easy recipe but the work is hard cause you have to consistently stir for 20min which increasingly gets more difficult to get the right consistency of the pounded plantains for eating with the stew. We took turns stirring whenever our arms got tired. Truly a labor of love for us and a lot of fun to have together. She has successfully passed all of my food test for dating. The first was bbq tofu, the next was a big ole salad with fresh juice from the juicer and now I was able to take her all the way back to Africa. She has enjoyed it all. Ain’t nothing but love being served on our table❣️ P.S. I still have to pass her Hamilton and musicals test. Now I’m getting upset that I still can’t find my Butterfly Knife. I’ve searched all over the Wonderdome. On Sunday I got off on a tangent that’s made it an obstacle course just to return back to center. The idea was just to make space for my wooden Wing Chun Dummy that will be here at the end of the month. It was all good until I moved my Wonder Woman tapestry. It’s because the way her eyes move that requires her to be in a certain position to bring perspective to my living room. In giving her a new perspective it changed the entire dynamics of my living room. What was supposed to be simple quickly took a turn for a complexed hot mess. Everything is different in here now and I like it. I need fresh perspective on everything I do and setting out to do. Once the dust settled after rearranging all of my furniture and wall art, The Champion of Themyscira tapestry ironically holds the same perspective in this space but now there’s Wonder Woman art equally spaced in all four corners holding me to my convictions of strength, courage and love. Wow. I really did just execute Halsana - Plow Pose in Yoga class this morning and held it for almost 5 minutes. Cant wait to see what I do next week after more practice. But that’s what I’m talm bout... Thursday or Friday what difference does it really make as long as we bend but don’t break in this quarantine time loop we’re stuck in until we find resolve... might as well make your day whatever you want it to be. Good News: I finally have enough juice to pull-off two workouts in a day and once I start cycling on my bike, I’m gonna have more juice than Minute Maid. Wack News: After a total of 8 days on skates, I only got this one roller skating trick I can do well. Lol. I’m so weak over this entire music video cuz I’m like Kool & The Gang talm bout “I always wanted to be in a band.” But for real for the newsreel, if I keep getting out there and practicing, I’ll be able to emcee while rolling around on my skates as I envision.
