hc that abilities attached to another realm (golden demon, demon snow and to an extent rashomon) are terrified/cautious of chuuya because of arahabaki. so when kyouka was still in PM, if she had nightmares, chuuya would stay with her to ensure demon snow didn't cause any damage. (softer: she calls him chuu-ni-san)

why is this the sweetest thing i’ve ever seen asjhsk i hc that chuuya is just, good with children overall 🥺 or at least likes them but is a little awkward because, yk, mafia. but i’ve never really thought about chuuya and kyouka’s relationship !! it would definitely be one of mutual respect since they both had mentor-mentoree relationships with kouyou, but i think chuuya would be more of an older brother type and coddle her <3

This is like a year late cause I went on a hiatus before I finished/posted this and I just saw this in my drafts. The beginning was from past!me and the rest is from present!me, so there might be some differences idk. Either way, I love this au so ty for the ask!! Feel free to send in more, as I’ll be more active now.

Okay. I didn’t wanna do another P.M.!Dazai, so I decided on a Sheep!Dazai instead. Progression-

They still end up meeting Dazai, but more as an enemy to progress their character growth then anything else.

ALSO GIN

I love just including Gin in everything, so get ready for her facepalms and exasperated sighs to crash the shin Soukoku party. Oof-

Atsushi is a weretiger who accidentally wrecks the orphanage twice a week. Akutagawa & Gin also stay at the orphanage.

Atsushi has no clue, but Akutagawa figures it out. Gin is also aware. In this au, Dazai doesn’t come to recruit Akutagawa or talk to Atsushi after being saved by him.

Actually, Dazai left the Port Mafia around that time but in the two years he ‘laid low’ he got drunk frequently and tried committing suicide multiple times. Including in the river

Enter Chuuya Nakahara, who is still head of the Sheep bc he actually explained why he was working with the Port Mafia and the other members of the Sheep didn’t betray him.

Instead of Atsushi, Chuuya ends up saving Dazai from death. He attempted to use his ability at first, but it didn’t work for some odd reason. And then, he recognizes that one Port Mafia guy he worked with a couple years ago.

It’s been seven years.

Chuuya is interested in what the fuck is going on, so once Dazai is fully conscious he interrogates him & takes him in as payment for saving his life. It’s really just more pain for Chuuya.

Boom, Dazai joins the Sheep!

Btw, this all happens like a year before Atsushi gets kicked outta the orphanage.

Now back to AkuAtsu, since they’re both 18 they have to leave the orphanage. Atsushi still has no idea about his powers cause no one tells em. Gin leaves with them cause Aku!!

In this au, Akutagawa and Atsushi aren’t exactly... friends? But they work together cause orphans gotta stick together or something.

Plus, Gin and Atsushi get along well enough. So yeah.

Atsushi then starts seeing the white tiger and freaks out. He explains the problem to Akutagawa, knowing that Akutagawa also has an ability.

Akutagawa, at this point, wonders how dumb Atsushi really is. And then, they take Atsushi to the ADA because surely they would be able to help, right? Right.

Akutagawa’s personality is about the same, but since his childhood wasn’t AS harsh in the orphanage than it was in the streets & he grew up with Atsushi & Gin, he isn’t as harsh and is much less murder-prone.

So, now they go to the ADA, where Kunikida is. Akutagawa kinda explains everything away from Atsushi, cause Akutagawa doesn’t wanna get killed by a tiger version of his sister’s friend! That’s valid!

Kunikida slowly explains everything to Atsushi (”Yer a tiger, atsushi.”), who promptly faints.

They have no idea what to do, so Yosano goes ahead and sets them up in a dorm. The Akutagawa siblings are introduced to everyone while Atsushi is blacked out.

The ADA takes pity on them and lets them stay on the condition that they can train Atsushi (for everyone’s betterment). They agree to the terms.

Ranpo quickly figures out that Akutagawa also has an ability, so the ADA also politely asks for him to join them. They will also have a entry test, but they don't know that yet.

Akutagawa and Atsushi agree because it means they have a place to stay and a source of income ! Gin, who part-times as an assistant at the ADA, starts learning how to fight from various ADA members.

It’s all tea bowls and cute cats until a bomber tries to kill them all. Atsushi covers the bomb with his body and tries to protect everyone again, but Akutagawa already has Rashomon against Tanizaki’s neck and is two seconds away from killing him. He would have done it if not for Dazai nullifying his ability and Kunkida sighing something about how kids shouldn’t be so prepared to kill, even if they are killing bombers. 

Also, unmentioned but this whole time, Dazai has been annoying Chuuya out of his mind with the sheep lol

I don’t have an hc but I want to know your saddest Soukoku hc

Chuuya probably suppresses any feelings he MIGHT have for Dazai (even when they were partners) because I’m almost certain that Dazai is absolute shit at showing affection. Just, it’s so obvious that they can and will live their lives separately, possibly hating each other all throughout (though I think Chuuya might have some unrequited feelings, and Dazai’s probably interested in Chuuya as a person, if nothing else).

-dazai can play piano

-chuuya smells like cheap perfume and cologne

-ranpo is always playing video games (he gets pissed off when playing candy crush and he cant actually eat the candy)

hc that chuuya and dazai lived together while they were in the mafia and quickly fell back into the it a couple years after dazai joins the agency ? it starts with dazai crashing at his place because it's nicer and his agency dorm is a mess. and dazai just, drops by so often (and somehow stole/made a copy of chuuya's key??) that chuuya now orders/makes dinner for two bc dazai eats the trashiest junk food and he just wants a healthy boyfriend goddamnit, it's hard to cuddle with a bunch of bones. >:c
