On ep 8 now.
Bruh, I’m glad to see that Robby and Miguel are cool now and that they can share some jokes together to mess with Johnny, it’s really cute, but Johnny you gonna check in with Miguel on his situation with Sam but never asked Robby about the person he cares about that’s in Cobra Kai
The only disappointing part about the season so far is the relationship between Robby and Tory. I can’t believe I stayed up late and got all excited for the premiere. After their quarrel they did not even share one single interaction with each other?? Really?? Disappointing.

On ep4 of season 5 right now and I gotta say I’m not enjoying seeing my favorite ship going like this. I started to love seeing Miguel x Sam earlier this season because they’re finally over with the stupid drama and are able to be honest with each other even though it means they need a break. Tory and Robby on the other hand really breaks my heart, I wanted to say more things since I’ve always rooted for them before they even became canon, but it is really upsetting to see them fight.

Just like usual, this show will always use a marketing ploy and tell everyone that there are character deaths in this season and boom they killed off the side characters just like in the previous season.
Killing off characters that actually have development just for the shock value but not the plot, the fuck is this show?? And the whole mess with Steve and Nancy?? God please no I will be so disgusted if that’s what they’re trying to set up for the actual series ending.
so are you telling me i waited for a month to watch stranger things not only queerbait me, using will's journey with his sexuality as a plot device to further mike and el's relationship, but also set up jonathan and nancy's inevitable break up to make way for stancy which will reverse all the development of both steve and nancy. and the shittiest of all, killing off eddie munson, leaving his body in the upside down, without clearing his name and everyone still thinking he's a serial killing cultist.
the duffers are so sick and twisted for all of this.

Such a disappointing plot with him, I thought we’re finally going to see some interesting side characters…so many wasted potential
Everyone else gets to live but Eddie gets bit by bats and he’s automatically dead… How does max get to live after getting FOLDED by vecna but Eddie doesn’t?!? It doesn’t make sense to me.
Btw I’m 90% sure they left his body in the upside down. Wtf?!?
My sweet boy deserved so much better

Exactly my thought when I watched season 2 back in couple years ago! The whole reason why I started like Tory better than Sam is that it’s super obvious that Sam always want more trouble and actually caused more trouble but never being apologetic to any of it! Never once apologized to Tory for her false accusations, or kissing someone else’s boyfriend, not even to Miguel or Robby. I forgot if she apologized to Aisha or not for neglecting her with her “popular friends”, I just can’t with this character. She is the worst in this show.
I have such strong feelings about Tory’s first encounter with Sam that I need to rant about it again. Like here’s this girl who has been dirt poor her whole life and doesn’t seem to have any friends, and suddenly Aisha, whom she just met, befriends her and invites her to a beach club for rich people where as far as she knows she will be the only poor person. She must have felt really self-conscious going in, like Daniel at the country club in the first movie, but she plays it cool and has a fun time with Aisha, stealing a bottle of vodka like a normal teenager and cracking a joke about how this place is so fancy she could steal the silverware without anyone noticing.
You know, the kind of joke a poor person might make if she found herself in an unfamiliar, intimidatingly swanky place and wanted to hang a lampshade on the fact that she doesn’t fit in. And even though Aisha has told her she’s at odds with Sam, Tory is totally friendly to her and invites her to join them.
But instead of being nice like Tory is, maybe saying ‘no thanks’ to the vodka if she feels uncomfortable about it, Sam tells her off and immediately decides that Tory is a criminal who does not belong in the beach club. This probably played right into Tory’s insecurities about not fitting in there, but Tory stays chill, makes a joke of it, and lets it go, until Sam comes back and accuses her of stealing a wallet, which anyone but Sam can see is a very different order of crime from stealing alcohol (there aren’t any legitimate ways for teenagers to get alcohol, and all the teens in this show drink except Robby, so Sam has no business judging for that anyway).
Tory is not only offended but clearly hurt by the accusation, so she doesn’t bother to defend herself from it (and rightly so). And then Sam is so certain (for no good reason) that Tory stole the wallet that she physically tries to snatch her bag, and Tory (who would have been totally justified if she just punched her at this point imo) pushes her off and accidentally (but if it had been on purpose, again it would be completely justified) sends her into the snack table and even looks sorry about it.
And the next time they see each other is at the roller rink, and by then Sam surely must know that Tory didn’t steal the wallet, but does she apologize? Like ANY decent person would have?
No, of course not. Not only does she not admit she made a mistake, she even tells Miguel she can’t believe he could be with “a girl like that”, which, a girl like what, Sam? A girl who gets falsely accused of a crime? A girl who drinks vodka? A girl whose family can’t afford a beach club membership? What the hell else do you even know about her?

Sam is the worst written character here, nobody knows where she get the audacity to say these lines and fr can’t you just shut up🙄
“The one you stole from another princess” uh excuse me? More like the other way around isn’t it? Cuz I’m pretty sure Tory isn’t the one that got drunk and kissed other ppl’s boyfriend. It could be like: the f*ed up princess who can’t sort out her priorities and while she has a prince at the time already, she still chose to kiss another prince whose not single🤪

Same… I waited a whole season for any sign or detail that can give me an excuse to like her but there really isn’t
I think they're really pushing for Sam to be a favorite but honestly there's not much there to me

Yes 👏 storyline wise, I’m actually more interested in the troubled teenagers side (Robby and Tory) because they’re hurt so badly by their families, manipulated by their sensei, and betrayed by their partners before. Idc what others say but I really enjoyed to see these type of growth and that they are bonding is amazing, I can’t wait to see them heal together.
robby and tory are in fact a way better match then sam and robby and tory and miguel. robby understands the hardships of tory’s life. while miguel’s life has been hardships, miguel had his mother and his abuela. sam can’t relate to robby for obvious reasons as she has lived an extremely privileged life. tory and robby both didn’t have anyone to protect them growing up, they both didn’t have good role models. both can sympathize and understand one another, they can support each other. that’s why they are a perfect match.

something i want to highlight about this season is how much sam was the instigator instead of tory. yes, tory has hurt sam. however sam has never given tory a chance to be a good person or tried to understand her side. sam spent most of the season focusing all her energy into hurting rather than healing, which is as we see in the show never ends well. i don’t think these two can ever be friends, but it would be nice to sam and tory come to some sort of an understanding in the next season(s)
