Study of Toriyama art with my character Riley as the subject. Every time I study his illustrations it feels like a shortcut to making things look immensely appealing seemingly effortlessly

Re-drew this megaman redraw from 6 years ago because I was never satisfied with it and wanted to do something for an hour while I was waiting for my sleep meds to kick in. Instead of just pixellating over the original, this time I actually did a sketch over the original sprite so that I would be less rigidly chained to the original sprite’s posing and proportions. wow, it’s almost as if you do get better after several years!
Small Megaman sprite redraw at twice the original size
UPDATE: There’s a new version of this picture, with other Robot Masters as well, click here

Remade the pixel-art of the basic classes of the first Final Fantasy after feeling that the art in the upcoming Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster looked bad, like a “here’s how it could look like, instead!” fun exercise

Commission for a friend of a piece of art in the style of PC-88, for a stream overlay she was working on! This means that every pixel is two pixels tall, since the image is stretched vertically! This made it so I had to tackle pixel-art differently, but that was a fun and interesting challenge. On the top is the finalized piece, bottom left is an alternate palette, and bottom right was an attempt at doing it using the PC-88 V1 graphical mode, which means only 6 hypersaturated colors are available (pure red, green, blue, cyan, magenta and yellow) + black & white, which makes it really hard to convert art in a way that looks nice and clean.
Also, courtesy of DeeLiteyears on twitter, here are them running on an actual 200p CRT!
So happy to see the color blending look so so good in these!!
