Over the Blue Eye
Ferry bound west sounded good to me
So I payed in and drove to a piece of the sea
Aboard the bow I now stand with each arm outstretched
With one gust I knew flying was not so far fetched
The tips of my toes touching earths ocean blue eyes
On the other side of the sea another chance to revise

Wax
My body is wax I can tell how its melting
Bits and pieces break off into my tracks
And inside its red stuck minutes of my time spent some time ago
The age really makes things fade in the sunlight
An image I have of the world spinning around
I’m trying to keep it but it melts to the the ground
Under the lamp one by one my memory escapes me

Down
One door away the skies are blue
And the gray in my hair will disappear
But then it changes its mind to like it a lot less
I don’t know if I’m even happy anymore

Quote
I started thinking about Thomas Jefferson and the declaration of independence and the part about our right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. And I remember thinking, how did he know to put the pursuit part in there? That maybe happiness is something that we can only pursue and maybe we can actually never have it.
Pursuit of Happyness

Rain No More
Most of my life there is no rain to gray
The sun perched high on its throne to give me better days
Eyes blinded I’m reminded of the blight I keep on finding
When the days grow long and the green decays to its rays
Inside my mind are there no clouds that bleed
Will the Midas within my eyes ever fade
I’m afraid my face has run dry and the rivers that flowed are now gone
Waiting for the rain to fix the pain Its made

Apology
The photos stack up every time that you meet me
Your smile stuck to me like a dark rainy day
That lingers forever inside of my mind
Stuck in the stars of the open night sky
And still the heart opens up to another closed door
I realized too fast what love just can’t really repair
Like memories you planted inside of my brain
Yet I wait for you here outside of your door
I’m sorry I forgot I made you sad

House on the Hill
I would peel off the paint but there’s bones underneath
Its walls are too old to receive a new coat
I’d kick if I could and break down its door
But my toes are ingrown and sore from the climb
I was trying to help but you knew I was torn
Feeling so desperate to shrug off your weight
Now the yoke that you once carried caves into my back
Spine’s sick of the stress and I fear for this house
So I’ll take out my lighter and set it ablaze

Sea Song
Hello fellow tumblites!  These are some lyrics that I’m thinking of making into song.
Poetry ensues...
Here I sleep on the sand your favorite victim
The marks left of these steps are so unpredictable
I thought I left my thoughts to languish upon the shore
Another lesson in a distant fall

Where The Path Ends We Exit
The view bellow stares up at me
But when I grasp out your hands not there
The darkness echos back...
These things we say with crooked mouths
Pale to things we said with dead faces
So you died beside my corpse
And became the ghost you always where
If our conflicted souls are doomed to wander
I just might get lost inside this fog

Sallow Skin
It seems my face has gotten sweaty
But I forget about just why
The thoughts ran fast unto their graves
And now I feel they've  dug too deep
Down inside my pale ash skin
I fall asleep until the dawn

Yellow Boat
My breath in here is fast and heavy
But any slower I'm sure I’d die
The world out here it comes in waves
With rocks and trees that want to keep
All inside my little boat
I move ahead into the fray

The Girl
Am I done with the girl who once disappeared
I’ll be left with the wind rushing through my hair
These cold winter nights with a ghost of your face
As I lie here awake to ponder if you still care

Angel
I’m sorry I mean it
I tried and I tried
But you felt my love
As a cage you where inside
I’m sorry I lie
Through my gritting teeth
Its fine if you hate
That its hell I’m beneath
Your angel no longer
I’ll rest in your sick mind
And you will in mine
Till I return to the sky

The City
I look at the crowd all happy and fake
The facade of adulthood painted onto their face
I once thought the years to mature
Boy was I wrong
Its like we are born into goddamn psychopaths
The more that we age
I just want to leave it
This place makes me sick
To tell to the truth
The whole world makes me like this

Wide Awake
Something inside me fell and it broke
Or a from a deep slumber I startled and woke
Now my body aches to return to my sleep
But its image is just a memory I keep
