I think for me the most gobsmacking thing of all in the Sussexes' pivot gack to royal besides the cemetery stunt is the re-hiring of royal aides. These ladies are steeped in royal processes and do not appear to have any other experiences to draw from (not a negative btw) such that they will perform their jobs in the way they normally did which is something the Sussexes often complained about royal aides did ie couldn't harness the sussex specialness and global superstardom blah blah vipers!!!

I know!

I was just coming here to ask if you could please consider coming back to shepherd us through what's looking like the upcoming Archewell rollout, and here you are! Hope you and your family had a good holiday. Just started watching Bridgerton, with Julie Andrews narrating : ) .

That’s lovely! I’m hoping to watch it soon. The trailer looks lovely.

I honestly don’t know what to make of the “rollout.” Wasn’t it going to be a charity? And now it’s a podcast business? And the first guest is selling books and not really doing charity? It’s just weird.

M is continuing her streak of making it worse than we predicted. Instead of exclusive interview as a family w/ Oprah or at least Gayle or in Vogue/Vanity Fair, they appeared as a family in 2020 in their own podcast and probably in People magz. Always underwhelming, and they've stubbornly been clinging to their Royal titles, but each appearances now is in the form of celebs style, and not even a good one

I know! I do have to give them some credit for keeping up the “we’re so successful” charade, but it’s a freaking podcast. They’re also selling lattes and whatnot.

I laugh whenever I see one of their sugars saying how “successful”t hey are. Two years ago Meghan was editing Vogue and publishing a bestselling  cookbook. She was living in Windsor and vacationing with Amal Clooney. She was hanging out with Jacinda Arden for crying out loud. She was bffs with the Givenchy designer and she wore Dior every other day.

Now she’s doing podcasts like my old college roommate.

The $120 million from Netflix is the possible value of the deal over time, it wasn't the amount of a check handed to the Markles. Unless they come up with better content for Netflix than they have so far for Spotify, the deal will never approach that amount. Rogan got $100 million (real money) to him over three years because he brought millions of listeners with him. The $30 million from Spotify works the same way. Again, they'll need more compelling content to pocket those dollars.

Yep.

Because you’re not the only one who has suffered. Who wants more. Who wants them back. Who doesn’t want to be afraid anymore. Or alone. Or frightened. Or powerless. ’Cause you’re not the only one who imagined a world where everything was different. Better. Finally. A world where they were loved and seen, and appreciated. Finally. But what is it costing you? Do you see the truth?

But he’s gone, and that’s the truth. And everything has a price. One I’m not willing to pay. Not anymore. This world was a beautiful place just as it was and you cannot have it all. You can only have the truth. And the truth is enough. The truth is beautiful. So look at this world and look at what your wish is costing it. You must be the hero. Only you can save the day. Renounce your wish if you want to save this world.
