If they are comfortable with she-pronouns, why even be ”nonbinary”? I’m nonbinary and this has baffled me so much. I know you can quote whatever you want from a random source, but people expanding genders and sexualities to endless times makes everything just seem like it is a joke (like kins), how can anyone take us seriously? If one’s okay with she-pronouns, maybe it is time for them to be okay with one’s own sex/gender which is female, which isn’t a bad thing at all! Be pround! And be okay with gender-noncomformity! Why on earth even choose to be ”nonbinary” then, just to be ”different”? Being non-binary is out of the binary. Her being ”she” is in the binary.
Anon I am not an expert on non-binary people since I am not non-binary so I can’t really define what it’s like for people that are, all I can do is try to accurately represent the gender spectrum in my characters;; I shouldn’t have to explain why one of my OCs has a preference to certain pronouns. Pronouns…don’t equal gender!! You can use any pronouns you want for yourself you don’t have to justify why, it doesn’t matter what gender you are, you can label yourself however the hell you want.
Also it’s not like my OC is choosing to be non-binary just to be different? How does that make any sense? They don’t fit strictly onto the binary gender spectrum so they’re non-binary and use she/they pronouns because that’s what they’re comfortable with using. It’s THAT easy
Non-binary pals feel free to leave comments in the replies since y’all are way more educated about this than I am
