Homework!!
Watch all 8 episodes (don't worry about the Extras one... unless you want to...) of this series ready for our double lesson on 6th October.
Think about which of these you would consider to be the most important to include in your History of Synths prezi section. We will discuss this on the Friday.

Read the following article about the history of DAWs and make notes about the significant developments. Be sure to mention Ableton Live as this approaches DAWs in a slightly different way.

Watch this video series on the most important synthesisers throughout history. Include a 'History' area of your Synthesiser bubble on Prezi and include each of these synths.
Each of these synthesisers was important either because it broke new ground in terms of technological innovation or because it was used to develop new areas in popular music.
Make sure that this is clear in your write up.

EVOC Track Oscillator
Obviously this is the best thing ever. But how do we write this up?
The EVOC Track Oscillator is a Vocoder plugin. Vocoders have two main sources - a carrier signal (your synth) and a modulator (the acapella). The EVOC Track Oscillator analyses the modulating signal (the acapella) and transfers the filter information to the carrier signal (the Filter Bubble).
Whoa.
