I think a highly underrated Netflix Witcher moment is during S1E03 'Betrayer Moon', when Geralt meets with the miners about the (then unidentified) monster:

Miner: And if you can't kill it?

Geralt: Then I die.

The flicker of confusion on Geralt's face is so wonderful. In that moment he's so witcher to me. The miners, as humans, believe they have choices in life (and they are discussing choices when Geralt interrupts). If the monster got the upper hand, they'd try to run, or retreat. But those aren't options for a witcher.

I also really like the delivery. Geralt's like, wtf does this dude not understand mortality? What a dumbass. THEN I DIE, DUH.

I think one of my favourite concepts in the witcher is the idea that all the witchers fucking peace out from society to hole up all winter with their dysfunctional witcher families in the middle of nowhere. Are there monsters in winter? Absolutely. Would there perhaps be more monsters in winter due to folk dying of hypothermia a lot? Almost certainly. Are these witchers not really pretty much resilient to the cold and so totally capable of riding around the landscape through giant drifts of snow? Probably.

Does any of this make a difference? Not at all. They’ve had enough of all of you this year. Oh? You would do anything for us witchers to come back down the mountain and kill this swarm of necrophages in your village for you? Anything?

this may be an Unpopular Opinion (even on tumblr) but like the 8-hour workday is just Too Gotdamn Long

like even sitting in an office for eight hours a day isn’t particularly pleasant (or healthy, as we are beginning to see) but when we’re talking about doing *actual work* for that same amount time it gets pretty fucking brutal

doing literally *anything* (even leisure activities) for eight hours straight tends to be less than enjoyable but when we’re talking about things like construction, landscaping, factory work, and hell, even foodservice and retail, eight hours is a fucking ETERNITY

Tips for boys on their period

Don’t put a pad on boxers! It doesn’t work and makes a mess

To feel more masculine wear boxers over your //pad holding underwear//

Don’t beat yourself up, you are totally rad and cool, you’re body is doing something, but that’s okay, it’s not your fault and it doesn’t make you less valid!

If your cheast starts to hurt, don’t bind, some guys get tender breast tissue when it’s that time of the month, listen to your body, don’t push yourself!

Treat yourself to some chocolate!

Tea!!! It’s so good!!!! And green tea can help with cramps!

Advil! I use it when my cramps get bad, sometimes I get headaches and it helps with that too! Don’t take more than six though!

Go under warm blankets with nothing but your underwear on, preferably soft blankets, it makes me feel like I’m in a soft cacoon

Oversized sweatshirts! Always good! Especially for dysphoria!

Wear comfy cloths, always good to feel good

Eat warm soup, feels nice in the tum tum

Don’t eat super greasy foods, it can make your skin break you even more! And there are already so many hormones making your skin do crazy thing you don’t want it to get worse! Also it can make cramps worse

Most of all listen to your body, don’t push yourself, and try to forgive it, it’s confused and doesn’t know that it shouldn’t be doing what it’s doing
