Some John Wick fanart!! So hyped for JW4!!

I started this piece like a year ago but I wasn’t feeling the design, so I restarted it. Got some good practice with action poses and drawing guns too. I love doing the little details and stuff but sometimes I wonder if that makes the piece too busy as a whole. I tried to keep each movie’s color palette distinct but not clashing, which was a last minute decision so I hope it worked out haha. It was a lot of fun to do!

Santino topping John WOWOWOW

How often does it happen? And how does Santino get John into that mood? Or does John kinda want it just because he feels like it? :3

An interesting question I asked myself more or less recently (I made a mention of Santino topping John in The Burning of Rome, as you know ;)).

Here is how I see it: first, I have to say it's rare for me to write couples that don't switch position. That's clearly due to my own experience, but I know some people prefer one or the other, and Santino clearly has a preference for bottoming in my head.

So I would answer it like this: it's not John who needs to be in the mood, it's Santino.

John is by default in the mood for everything his partner(s) might want, be it Helen, Caine, Koji (yes, thanks to Koda, it's now a HC they had a little polycule back in their youth) or of course, Santino. His own desire often takes a backseat to the desire of his parner(s): nothing gets him off harder than giving pleasure, or responding to his partner(s)' want.

I think we also have to separate top/bottom from dominant/submissive, or from driving/following. In my head, John is a follower. He's not a leader in anyway, and if he happens to create movement around him, it's accidental, or collateral, nearly never conscious. I always loved how... surprised he was by the consequences of his actions (Him refusing to honor the Marker => Santino blowing his house up, then later of course being excomunicado, later again having the whole High Table on his ass and he's like "I've never asked for any of this" and I'm like "John, my man, did you stop for one second to think about the chain of events you were setting into motion?". Many characters tell him variations of that: Winston, Koji, the Elders, Gianna...). In a way, he's very passive in his own narrative: his thought process is very forward and simple (that doesn't mean he isn't intelligent, it means he doesn't care about complexities and the big picture). In that way, I feel like he's very "in the moment" and very attuned to what people feel, even if he often lacks the words to express it.

So back to sex: John responds to the desire of his partner first and foremost in my head. So he's basically always potentially in the mood to top or bottom, it doesn't depend on him, it depends on his partner a lot. That doesn't mean he can't have wants and desires of his own, but to me he's very attuned to the mood of his potential partners, and even unconsciously he'll give them what they want.

It also means that to me, he's more submissive than dominant, but then again, if his partner requires dominance, he'll do it in a heartbeat, and he'll like it.

Santino, on the other hand, is a pillow princess, and a brat. He loves to be whorshipped and conquered, you gotta earn the right to put your hands on him, it's a privilege and he intends for his partner(s) understand that very clearly before he let them kiss his toes.

He will take on a more active and leading role because he loves to test his partners. It's really a way for him to ensure they're worthy of him. Of course he's a control freak, letting go is the ultimate gift he can offer to a partner, but they need to work for it painstakingly. Every game he plays with John in my fics is just him being a scared little boy in need of reassurance. Being pampered, held, and taken is how he feels safe and loved, even if it hurts.

He also understands perfectly how receiving can mean being on top: the control it gives him, the way he can use his body as a weapon of submission. To him, it's not a matter of position, it's a matter of controling the mindset of his partner, and hiding behind a screen.

And finally, I'll answer the question: it doesn't happen often because to him, topping is giving. It's putting the need and desire of his partner first, and not his own, it's taking care, and not being taken care of (again, it's how I think he views it, it's in no way an absolute truth). For the mood to strike he would have to be in a very safe place, with a partner he trusts entierly, in a moment he feels confident enough and good enough to give. A moment where the bottomless pit of want that exists by his heart is somewhat filled. A fragment of time where he has enough selflove to pass an opportunity to receive the devotion he expects of his partners, and for once, to give some of that devotion to his lovers.

And that is very rare.

• Rainbow poppers

A.k.a. Thrust, Ram. Containing amyl nitrite and butyl nitrite. This product causes blood vessel dilation and muscle relaxation, often used for sexual enhancement / as a aphrodisiac. Causes feelings of euphoria, gives user a 'head rush', increased physical sensations, causes dizziness, increases blood flow in the body. Effects are immediate and short lasting. Increased heart rate, can cause short term or permanent damage to vision, can cause nosebleeds, headaches, chest pains, sickness. Comes as a liquid that the user inhales. Drinking it can and has lead to death. Highly flammable and can cause chemical burns on the skin.

• Purple Haze

• S-keef / Black Lace

Designer drug, high grade synthetic endorphin. An anesthetic, muscle relaxer, and hallucinogen. Gives user an energy boost. Eliminates inhibitions, causes high sensitivity and environmental feedback. Decreases blood pressure, can cause hypotension. Decreases heart rate, can cause shallow breathing that could result in dizziness or even suffocation. Inhalent. Fast acting, highly addictive.

• 'Dorph

A mid grade synthetic endorphin. Anesthetic and performance enhancing, gives user a 'rush' similar to a second wind. Lowers inhibitions. Decreases heart rate, can cause shallow breathing that could result in suffocation. Can cause dizziness, fainting, and may lead to a 'crash' after the effects fade. Fast acting, highly addictive.

• Blue Butter / Benzodiazepine / Cefabricol

Causes numbness or deadening of pain receptors for up to 24 hours. Loss of memory, sometimes lasting the duration of the high. Can cause hallucinations. Eliminates inhibitions. Increased heart rate, can cause panic or hyperventilation. Is taken by inhaler or injection. Can cause confusion and disorientation. Can cause increased aggression and sex drive. Can cause psychosis. Can cause heart failure resulting in death.

• CFP

• PCP/Angel Dust

High grade hallucinogen. Makes the user feel floaty or numb, time can seem as if it's moving differently. Can make user happy, anxious, and/or aggressive. Raises body temperature. Can cause convulsions or seizures. Can make user experience psychotic episodes. Can cause suffocation due to breathing becoming too shallow or lungs ceasing to work. Found in oil, liquid, powder, crystal or pill form.

• Rezzin

Concentrated cannabis derivative. Increased pain tolerance, floaty feeling, mood enhancement, mild aphrodisiac. Fast acting and lasts a couple hours. Can cause anxiety, panic, and/or paranoia in user. Found as an oil or inhalent.

• Skate

A legal beverage. Gives user a feeling of euphoria, floating, tingling to the extremities, a lasting sensitivity in the mouth. An anesthetic. Causes lack of coordination, dizziness, lethargy, disassociation. Can cause shallow breathing that may result in suffocation. Extremely addictive.

Aphrodisiac.

• MDA / Ecstasy / Molly

Aphrodisiac, mood enhancement or feeling 'loved up' and affectionate. Increased physical sensations in the body, increased energy, tingling to the extremities, increased heart rate, higher body temperature. Can be a pill or a powder and tastes very strong and bitter. Can cause extreme anxiety, confusion, panic, or even paranoid psychosis.

• LP9

High grade aphrodisiac.

• RPM

Containing Propylmethionine. High grade stimulant and hallucinogen. Gives user a significant increase to their energy and a feeling of alertness. Increased pain tolerance. Found in powder form: it is usually snorted or ingested. Increased heart rate, higher body temperature, can cause anxiety or irritation possibly leading to panic or psychosis. Decreased appetite, insomnia, can cause convulsions, seizures, or chest pains that could lead to heart failure and even death.

• Glitter

An increasingly popular party drug. Extremely addictive and easy to overdose on. Increased pain tolerance. Increased heart rate and higher body temperature. Can cause confusion, anxiety, or panic. Increased agitation and aggression that may lead to psychosis. Taken in pill form or inhaled/eaten in powder form.

• Neoamphetamine / GHB

Made with or a derivative of Beta Acid A.k.a. Liquid ecstasy. Colorless and can sometimes be found as a powder, paste, or in a capsule in addition to the liquid form: can be taken orally, by injection, or by snorting and is very easy to overdose on. Makes user feel euphoric, drowsy or tired, with increased sexual appetite that can lead uncharacteristically intense sex. Lowered inhibitions. Fast acting and lasts a couple hours, can cause confusion or disorientation. Can cause shallow breathing that may lead to suffocation or coma.

• RTL / Synthsugar / Synthcoke

Used mainly as a stimulant and found in powdered form: usually inhaled or ingested. Bitter tasting with a distinct chemical scent. Gives user a feeling of excitement, increased confidence, and happiness. Lowers inhibitions. Increased heart rate and body temperature. Can cause nausea, sickness, diarrhea. Can be fast acting, with effects generally lasting less than an hour. Can cause anxiety, panic, depression, and tiredness. Can cause heart palpitations that may result in heart attack.
