Even with the porn ban, this place still beats Twitter. I (mostly) make art. Please Reblog if you Like what you see. Alternate links with more art are on my page.
So I'm seeing a bunch of posts around these days suspiciously trying to tie shows being cancelled to the recent rise in piracy due to the uptick in streaming costs.
So I thought I'd remind everyone if the time Olan Rogers was forced to pirate the third season of Final Space because Warner Brothers had cancelled and memory holed it as a tax write off. A show HE CREATED.
That was back in 2022, before the hikes, before the mass wave of streaming sub losses. Don't let people fool you, it's not piracy that's killing your favorite shows. It's corps doing the same bullshit they always do.
It's time someone finally said something. Finally spoke the truth. The truth that no one seems to want to say out loud...
The Abzorbaloff wasn't that bad of a monster.
Was it bad? Yes. Undeniably so. That loincloth gave me more nightmares than any stone angel or shop window dummy ever did. But it's not the worst!
It's a terrifying concept actually! Gone with a touch of the creature, absorbing you entirely until you're just part of it's mass, all morphed and broken down in a way that should (if written another way) evoke the same fear as the movie The Thing.
You know what was the worst, laziest and frankly most forgettable enemy The Doctor has ever faced?
The Space Racist.
God bless you Joshua Bowman for finding better roles since.
