losing a parent as a child is rough on anymore, but the death of cali's mother at a young age really impacted him. they were super close, often bonding in her impressively manicured garden, where she taught him how to garden and tend to plants. it was perhaps no surprise that his love for botany would translate into adulthood, eventually opening his own florist shop, named for his late mother in her honor.

that’s perhaps why he throws himself into his work, which he’s actually great at; his passion for history, art, and how the two intersect make him quite successful in the world of antique dealing. if only he could make sense of his own.
