Just because a character is fictional does not mean they are incapable of being these things.

First off: To use the excuse that "it is just a game" is not only ignorant but heavily diminishes the effects that media has on the populous. There is a reason media literacy is a skill but i can clearly see that you didn't learn it.

Secondly just because they didn't use the slur letter for letter doesn't mean the implications are still there. If someone called me the n word with just one letter moved or changed around, it doesn't remove the intentions of the slur. The word used to refer to Aventurine is an actual slur for Romani people. Hell in the Chinese version it straight up is the slur.

By all means when Ratio and Sparkle referred to Aventurine in the way that they did, it was 100% ment to be as a slur. Not to mention the fact that Sparkle used stereotypes synonymous with Romani people to describe Aventurine's heritage.

Finally your little "rebuttal" about other social issues in HSR is nothing more than something to distract us from the topic at hand. Yes, the heavy classism in belebog is bad, however using it as a deflection or counter argument is not a real argument.
