Where I write Star Wars, return to my artistic roots, and appreciate tall ships. In between wrangling muses I have a day job and adore baking. I’m on ao3 as wishfulthinking1979.
She was painfully beautiful, he thought. It was not often she wore dresses given her diplomatic work and the demanding nature of all the burdens she bore so well. But as she glided around the dance floor in Solo’s arms—the smuggler visibly counting steps under his breath—-she was angelic.
He was grateful to be here at all. Most people did not know who he was, as he had chosen to dress in a simple, unmarked Imperial uniform. There was an even mix of Republic and Imperial uniform amongst the guests which indicated those who served on the Lady as distinct from those stationed elsewhere.
He sipped at his champagne and watched as Piett approached the bride and groom to tap Solo’s shoulder politely. The man surrendered Leia willingly, and the Admiral swept her off with more grace.
And how could Anakin not consider that it should be him out there, holding his daughter in his arms on her wedding day?
people telling you they reread your fic is the biggest compliment you could ever receive. there are thousands of stories out there begging to be found, to be explored, but your story meant so much to someone that they came back to it eagerly, they went over every word again. to love is to return and loving a fic is rereading it. thank you to all readers and rereaders <3333
Having recently ascended the throne of Naboo, Padme Amidala embarks on a goodwill tour to various countries. Her purpose is twofold: She wishes to determine who might be a potential ally against the might of the Empire and its increasing threat, and she wishes to root out the scourge of slavery from the planet.
On this mission, her sister and Colonel Veers aid in the rescue of two slaves---Rilla and Firmus Piett. Upon their return to Naboo, Padme sends word to the distant land of the Jedi, hoping that these elusive and possibly magical people might help her in her cause.
They send two representatives who arrive shortly before the Empire launches its first attack at Naboo. If they all survive it, Padme finds that she would like to know more about this Jedi Knight who goes by the name of Anakin Skywalker.
The amount of trust Wolffe and Rex must have in order to immediately put away their blasters when they recognise each other gives me so much life.
And to also trust each other to not suddenly shoot each other when one of them says or does something wrong.
You saw how the batch was ready to throw hands. Rex made them stand down and Wolffe doesn't react. His men don't even react!
The trust the rest of the clones have with Wolffe is also awesome. They could have disobeyed him and arrested him for treason but they didn't. Hilo even questioned him but still followed his orders with absolutely no hesitation.
These men trust Wolffe so much to the point that they'll help him disobey orders, even at the risk of whatever horrific punishment the Empire will give them.
And that trust extends to Rex. If Wolffe trusts him, so do they.
I've missed these clones so much 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭. It's nice to finally see them on the screen.
Don't get me wrong, I love the Batch but there's only so much you can do with their dynamic. They have their own story, the rest of the clones have theirs.
And it's nice to see it actually happen on screen.
