Contestant Number Update
The judges have been discussing and we have decided that for the season's theme to be the best that it can be only 10 auditionees will make it into the contest this year.
We want the season to be the best it can be and think the story will work best with 10 contestants this year.
There is still plenty of time to audition with auditions closing on December 23rd.

Will every season from this point forward only have 12 contestants, or is there a plan to return to 16 in 2025?
The number of contestants might change depending on the season theme, like if there was a theme that needed more or less characters. Having 16 contestants would either mean more rounds or more eliminations per round and we aren't likely to 10 rounds again as it is too much for the contestants. I don't think we will have as many as 16 again.

Cinderella is missing from the 2012 elimination list.
The older seasons didn't have the record keeping that we have now as everything was done through messaging systems that are no longer available. That's why the elimination orders on the website are incomplete as we don't have all the info for them.
That being said I can't find any info at all on Cinderella being in that season, she's not in the audition results video nor can I find any videos from a contestant using her. If you could send me a link that shows she was in it that would be great (can do it through dms) and I will add her to the list.

Judge Reveal #4 @beautifuldreamer156 is The Workers
Introducing The White's Publicist and Accountant as the final judge characters for the upcoming season.
Miss Sophia Mustard and Professor Alexander Plum have been working together for a quite a few years.
With Alexander being the perfectionist of the two, he definitely makes sure his voice is heard amongst the group, while Sophia will gladly write it down somewhere. She is also a perfectionist, but she’s only interested in cold hard facts.
They tend to clash sometimes, but when working together, they can hold clues together and eventually come together to figure out a missing link maybe someone missed.

Judge Reveal #3 @peanutbutterjellyxx-blog is The Maids.
For years, Elizabeth and her grandmother, Carla, have faithfully devoted themselves to serving the Whites.
Despite their distinct personalities, the bond between this grandmother and granddaughter is unbreakable. Both willing to have each other's back no matter the circumstance.
When they're not meticulously attending to every detail of the White's opulent mansion, one can often find them huddled in a corner, engrossed in quiet conversations with one another.

TIME ZONE CHANGE
Since MD has been operating using the same time zone for years we have done our best to keep it the same to avoid confusion. But the time difference is making it hard to keep track of everything as well as to respond to things like character claims as soon as the audition videos are released.
For this reason we will be changing the time zone that MD operates on to Western Standard Time (GMT+8) starting with this years auditions. This means that the audition release time as well as all future deadlines will be at 12:00am GMT+8. The length of time for rounds and audition entries will still be the same.
The auditions will go from the 1st of November to the 23rd of December with each character claim lasting two weeks. This season will consist of 5 rounds (plus a bonus round) with each round lasting two months.
I'm sorry if this causes an inconveniences for anyone, we tried to keep it the same as long as we could but it is no longer possible. Thank you for your understanding :)

Judge Reveal #2 @ladyofdrawings is The Detectives
Detective Miles Scarlett is famous for both his record imprisoning criminals as well as his professionalism. Having dedicated over ten years of his life to resolve crimes, he is not someone anyone should take lightly.
Detective Mason Green, on the other hand, can be known among his colleagues as someone desperate to climb the ladder and be surrounded by higher figures, although his record is far from being remotely close to Scarlett's.
Even though they both take their jobs seriously, Miles will remain unfazed not allowing his emotions to get the best of him. Mason, on the other hand, lacks experience in that regard, which sometimes can make their personalities collide. Nevertheless, neither of them will ever abandon an unsolved case.

Charles and Katrina White would like to formally invite you to their manor for a party on November 1st.
Fincial advisor Charles married his 3rd wife ex fashion model Katrina making her the most well kept trophy wife you know.
Though they are well known for their lavish parties the Whites seem to have more enemies than they do friends. Charles and Katrina aren't afraid to manipulate and backstab to keep themselves on top.
Numerous rumours swirl about the Whites, how they got their money, what happened to Charles' ex-wives, how he ended up married to Katrina, no one is sure what's the truth anymore.

I'm a little bit confused by the wording. Does the age requirement mean that the character has to be over 21 in canon? Or can it be someone that feasibly looks like they could be 21 or over like say Ariel or Jasmine?
They don't have to be 21 in their canon media but the character you create has to be over 21. They would also need to look over 21 so you can't use Alice and say she's 21 as long as it's plausible they can be whatever age you want.

Have you guys ever considered doing one where the contestants need to be animals? Like, I know there was one where each of the contestants had pets, but I mean the characters themselves are animals going on some grand adventure or something
It would depend, there are a lot of editors who prefer to edit with human characters over animal characters but there is also a large community of editors that prefer to edit with animal characters.
We don't have any current stories in mind that have animal characters but we do have some with aliens/non human characters on our current ideas doc, I'll add it to the ideas doc and if we have the inspiration to work it into a season I don't see why we wouldn't.

There won't be multiple endings but we are taking inspiration from the board game. More info will be released in the lead up to November 1st so keep an eye out :)
