mcr being a group of these theatrically scary living dead vampire guys for a good five years whose lyrics are mostly about how you don’t have to kill yourself actually vs fall out boy being like four guys you would see at a wendy’s in illinois whose lyrics were about how they hate you and you should absolutely kill yourself
Ok apparently some people don't read into the demolition lovers story this way but I always thought that the devil did hold up his end of the bargain, just in a really twisted way. Because the deal was that if he killed 1000 evil men he'd be reunited with the woman, but he never specified that she'd be brought back to life. So like when he kills himself he's the 1000th evil soul but also he and the woman are both dead now so they're reunited in the afterlife. He gets his wish and the devil gets the last laugh the house always wins etc
ok so y posted a demo of this and i really liked it but i’m probably never gonna publish it bc i tried clearing samples and its so difficult, so heres the sample version, the only one thats gonna stay is th come on eileen in the second chorus
the genius of megamind (beyond the obvious genius ofc) is that it's superman parody actually presents a genuinely unsettling depiction of the "hero" that I like wayyy better than "what if superman was evil" or "what if superman was wrong"... it's "what if superman didn't care"
frank iero writes songs that you can listen to 30 times in a row and fucking love vibing to and then you look at the lyrics cause you can't understand a thing that man is saying and its like he reached into your soul and pulled out something that's been bothering you for years that you barely even knew was there and he's put it into words that flow so well you're surprised you didn't just intuitively know them already. and then the whole time he sings them hes screaming and moaning btw
