recently i've been thinking a lot about the love between sailors and the sea. i wish i could put it in pretty words like some people around here do but there's just something so captivating about the constant changing of balance. she could kill you but shes your home. you need her to survive. she's your food and drink. your bed and your battlefield. you dance with her and she listens to your secrets but never reveals hers. her waves pull you down under if she's angry. she's suffocating you. pulling. relentless. taking all the memories of yours to the deep where the sun can't reach to fade them. and yet she holds you always dear and save. carrying your corpse. she doesn't cry but her waves are salty like tears. the sea is as much in love with the sailor as the sailor is in love with her is what i'm trying to say.
