"Nothing lasts forever" is a saying I always hear

A saying, just a saying but that I always fear.

Nothing is worth preserving, because detail is quite vain.

All thing rot and die, all things in the end fail.

All people will die, all people part

A couple torn in two, will never gain their start

And if one says "forever", a lie so it shall be,

That NOTHING lasts forever, though we hope we'd see

In that glorious demise, of days so long and tired

That FAITH, HOPE AND LOVE, the things promised for free

Would be our ultimate gain, fulfilled serenity.
