This is in fact a product that I have purchased on my own and can provide my honest opinion. I know, I know. *cue the applause.* Anyways Bathing Culture is what I would call a game changer. Now, I am going to be completely honest with you guys, when I purchased this I thought it smelled rancid and I was so disappointed. Trying to use it, I bathed myself with it anyway, and let me tell you I love this stuff. It left my skin feeling clean and wonderful. The smell was AMAZING. It smells completely different on the skin. I love this, like wow. I don’t even know what else to say. The bottle is also so beautiful and exactly as pictured. My only complaint would be that they do have options that don’t come in glass, but if you reuse the plastic then heck yeah! They also have refill stations all over the country, which makes it even easier to use these. Their refill bottles with pumps are even in glass, which makes it even easier. If you don’t have a refill center near you they also have gallon jugs that you can buy. This is a wonderful nontoxic company that I completely support. They even have hand sanitizer in glass! If you’re out of bodywash, or hand sanitizer, I highly recommend checking them out!

To Shave, or Not to Shave, that is the Question

I don’t know about you but my biggest concern when I looked into eco friendly living was my toiletries. The fact to the matter is no matter how much I like those cute razors at Target, they will never be as sustainable as a safety razor. Also mine breaks every couple months, thus the purpose of refills becomes obsolete. I would love for me to follow the true path of sustainability and not shave, but something about smooth skin just makes me happy. If you don’t shave my respect for you is very high but I really like to shave. The safety razor makes shaving look terrifying to me, so I really was hoping there would be an alternative to the traditional double sided safety razor. That’s when I discovered the Leaf safety razor. It has all of the qualities of a conventional razor without the waste. As someone that is broke I’m going to order one right when it is financially smart. It’s sleek design and razor blade disposal tin further shows its benefits. The blades for a safety razor are also minuscule in price and with proper use you’ll never have to order another handle. Safety razors are also known to provide a closer shave with less razor bumps. Yeah I know, crazy!! The Leaf razor will provide this incredibly close shave AND has a pivoting head that I have not found sported in another safety razor. It even comes with a stand! Breaking Up with Uber

I know, I know it sounds completely insane. Like how in the world can using a car, that isn’t electric be eco-friendly. One of the most widely used ride share apps is none other than Uber, but hear me out you really could be sleeping on Lyft. Lyft is in fact a carbon neutral company. I know what you’re thinking. What do you mean? Do they use only electric cars or something? The answer is no. Lyft actually invests into companies that offset the entirety of their carbon footprint. Lyft also has begun to offer non single occupancy rides and now offers rides with multiple people sharing the car. Not convinced Lyft is a better alternative? Also look at the fact that they offer lower price mechanical repair shops and even have a bank to cut down fees, for all of their drivers. I really hope you break up with Uber and dowload the pretty pink app that is Lyft. You can read more about this below.
