[MM] Update Announcement on Two DLCs and the Release of a New Merchandise

Hello, this is Cheritz.

We shared some very exciting news with you for our last notice, and we’re back today to announce the official release of the contents as well as the new merchandise! Please read the rest of this announcement to find out more!

< 1. Update Announcement on Two DLCs >

Ray’s After Ending and Jumin Han’s Bad Ending DLC, which you all have been waiting for, will finally be released! Update your Mystic Messenger app to v.1.16.0 and enjoy the new DLCs! *Depending on the country and the OS, the update may be delayed. *Mystic Messenger will be going under maintenance today from 10 A.M(KST) for approximately an hour in preparation of the update.

Ray’s After Ending can be found in the game by following the steps below! It is not required to first unlock the Good or Normal Ending of Ray’s route, as the content can be unlocked simply by using hourglasses! *Mode Select >  DLC > Ray After Ending or Mode Select > After Ending > Ray

Jumin Han’s Bad Ending DLC can be found in the game by following the steps below! If you have not yet unlocked Jumin Han’s Bad Ending 2, we recommend that you play the DLC after you unlock the bad ending! *Mode Select >  DLC > Bad Jumin & After ~ Life in the Mansion ~ or Mode Select > After Ending > Jumin Han

< 2. Voice Actors’ Promotion Videos >

As this new update marks the finalé of Mystic Messenger, the voice actors have left some comments about the game!

Please check the video uploaded on the official Cheritz YouTube channel to watch the interviews of the voice actors who have participated in the recordings of Ray’s After Ending and Jumin Han’s Bad Ending DLC!

< 4. Adjustments on the Number of Hourglasses for Unlocking the In-Game Contents>

From the 1st of January, 2021, there will be adjustments made to the number of hourglasses needed for unlocking some of the in-game contents. So if you are thinking about unlocking new contents, such as the Deep Story or the Valentine’s Day DLC, this is your last chance to get them at their current prices!

Hello, Anon!

As much as we don't want to leave the blog, life became busy for all 3 of us. You may see art/Cheritz reblogs from time to time though. As a saying goes, all things have to come to an end at some point (did I get it right?).

So why not recruit others to take over, right? Well, again, due to a consensus, we have decided not to recruit any new members because it just would be different. It's one of those things neither of us can explain, but if I had to, I guess it's the apprehension of getting a new member?

But don't worry! We will be keeping the blog so new mm fans / followers can read the stories we have previously written.

You may still send us messages, and we will do our best to respond to them. There may also be some new hcs/fics from time to time, but that might also be far and in-between.

I'm sorry if you haven't heard from any of us in a long time, but thank you for all of the support you guys have continuously given us.

RFA Reacts : Ghost Files (Part II)

As promised, here is Part 2. Enjoy!!!

Keeps a collection of items related to esotericism and paranormal phenomena

It isn’t beyond him to purchase a mummy for his private collection, but thankfully he hasn’t thought of getting one yet

A story of Yoosung’s friends exploring an abandoned building at night inspired him to try doing the same

“It might be dangerous going in, but it’s curious how ghosts manifest themselves in these haunted buildings,” he says while absently stroking Elizabeth the 3rd’s fur

You weren’t really fond of exploring haunted buildings, but you didn’t want him going inside with just a handful of bodyguards either

The rest of the RFA apparently thought the same thing so they went with you and Jumin as well 

“Hmm, well it might be enjoyable with a couple more people around”

He chose place in a northern island said to have the most paranormal sightings 

Will not leave you behind, but will also fearlessly point his flashlight towards any noise within the vicinity

Pls don’t do that asdfghjkl

The time he did find something, he froze, making eye contact with the sopping wet humanoid creature before it ran back into the shadows

Various screams were heard from you and most of the members, but Jumin stayed still and not a peep was heard from him

He wasn’t afraid per se… he actually seemed to be in deep thought

Was that a… water goblin? An ape? A hairy alien perhaps? 

Wanted to go in again the following night just to be sure, but you talked him out of it 

Proceeded to venture into building a horror attraction which, inspired by his experience (and some input from V), became widely popular

707 / Saeyoung

Has seen more horrifying things in his life than ghosts and paranormal stuff but it doesn’t keep him from obsessing about it

D**n of the dead? The w***ing dead? The c****ring? The N**? Name it, he’s seen it all. Hell, he’d even watched the “scary” videoclips on YT

Loves the thrill of feeling goosebumps breaking out all over his skin whenever something actually decides to make itself known

Definitely the type of person who acts like it’s Christmas when Halloween season starts

Also loves to leave around horror prosthetics around the house just to scare the living lights out of his unsuspecting victims

The only regret he has is…he couldn’t get a drop on Saeran

Is one of the first people who suggested to do a seance during one of the RFA parties, but his idea was (thankfully) shot down due to potential danger

You didn’t know what to make of him when he proudly tells you he survived a haunting during one of his recent “jobs”

But he apparently brought something more than just himself home after that

Sometimes you could hear a child’s laughter by the corridors… cupboards opening on its own even after you made sure to close them…  Sounds of someone showering even when everybody was in one location… 

He was enjoying all the creepy happenings until he set up a camera inside your shared bedroom and reviewed the footage

Decided to have the whole house cleansed by a priest; he even went the extra mile and made sure the rooms were smoked with sage every week

You kept on asking him what he saw, but he’d change the flow of conversation every time, diving right into his funny antics or planning his next costume or invention

Just what did he see in the video? 

Well…you could only take a guess, but we’ll never know.

Dismisses Seven’s claims of seeing “something” during some of their missions 

Had to go to Japan with his new boss when he had to change jobs after the fiasco with Seven.

What was that about old, traditional inns again? Nah, those aren’t real.

Was doing a sweep of his boss’ room when he opened the mattress cabinet and found a small, traditionally dressed girl hiding inside the cabinet

Quickly closed the door, thinking it was a figment of his imagination when he tried to slowly open it again

See? It’s still a little girl, probably the innkeeper’s ki—-

As soon as the thought entered his mind, the child made eye contact with him, giggled, and vanished.

…….

Ran out of the room like someone lit him on fire

None of the other bodyguards nor his boss could talk to him for a few hours

Considered contacting Seven to tell him about it but finally decided not to when he imagined his old partner’s annoying face.

No, I have my pride. I faced more horrific things than this. I could do this. 

Asked the innkeeper the next day about the child hiding in the cabinet and was met with a story about the kid being a “regular” at the inn.

Nope. I cannot do this.

Made sure to have another real person in the room the next time he has to do a room check.

Hello! So… I kind of messed up with editing the original post since I haven’t written with Tumblr mobile for a while and it seems harder to navigate now. Or is it just me?

Anyway, I had time today and finally wrote something. Hooray!!

OP asked us how the RFA would react when they encounter paranormal phenomena… IDK if this is how you wanted it, but I hope you enjoy it! You might’ve noticed that this entry is missing some of the RFA, but I will be posting it soon.

Everybody was feeling good about holding another successful RFA party and were gathered around for the after party, sharing drinks and casual chatter. All was well --- until Seven came running into the hall with you in hot pursuit.

"Everyone, I'd like to have your attention please! I have an important announcement to make!" Seven excitedly announced, keeping all eyes on him. From the way you were trying to wrestle him out of his messenger duties though, they suspected he was up to some mischief again.

"Do you guys know how talented MC is? I was hacking into--- oh wait, no... what I meant was, I was leisurely browsing MeTube when I came across a video of MC expertly dancing to the tune of G----mmmpppphhhhfff!!!"

You thought you had successfully cut him off, but you suddenly heard your cheerful teenager voice drifting out from the speakers and the projector screen rolled down, showing you from xx years ago. "Hey everyone! This is MC and today...." You could only look on in horror as all eyes were fixed expectantly on the giant screen and the music started...
