Fan works where the poster’s hatred of a character is projected onto another character whose feeling towards the hated character canonically are positive or at the very least ambiguous but unlikely to be as negative as suggested given circumstances and context. There are many other characters who’d make much more sense they could have used for their mouthpieces, but no. The mouthpiece character is often chosen not because it makes sense but because the fan/fandom loves them so they must be depicted as sharing their hatred of another character regardless of reason.
Now, researchers have put a nail in the coffin of porn addiction. Josh Grubbs, Samuel Perry and Joshua Wilt are some of the leading researchers on America’s struggles with porn, having published numerous studies examining the impact of porn use, belief in porn addiction, and the effect of porn on marriages. And Rory Reid is a UCLA researcher who was a leading proponent gathering information about the concept of hypersexual disorder for the DSM-5. These four researchers, all of whom have history of neutrality, if not outright support of the concepts of porn addiction, have conducted a meta-analysis of research on pornography and concluded that porn use does not predict problems with porn, but that religiosity does
virtual world wasn't perfect but they got my ass with the intense Noa and Seto parallels. Of course Mokuba latches onto Noa! that's basically a younger, worse off version of Seto! (even down to his design being VERY similar to Seto's season 0 design)
They are, I think, two sides of the same coin. And the only difference with Seto is that he had Mokuba. He had support outside of Gozaburo, and that's why he was able to get out. Noa never had anyone but Gozaburo, and he was only being used as a pawn.
This is a REALLY weird poll but I have to know if I'm the only one who gets very affected by music itself (not just the lyrics or because you like the artist or because a song reminds you of something sad) so...
raise a glass to the posts you love that end up deleted. to the fanart and fanfics you lose track of and can't locate. to the blogs you used to look through that ended up unexpectedly disappearing. to the things you didn't archive because you always assumed they'd be there.
"if you're going to eat that rotisserie chicken please do it in an area where none of us can see" you hate me. you hate me because i have different eating habits than you and you want me to STARVE
No "show results", if you're not a fanfic writer just be patient.
I saw a post about an anon saying it was embarrasing to have an ao3 account in your 30s (it's absolutely not), so I want to do a poll and see what the age range actually is.
