I remember being so confused when I read the manga which parts was Tohru’s inner monologue and which part she says out loud. It was really nice to see it animated to clear up that confusion for manga readers.  As always this scene is truly beautiful. The fact that Tohru comments on how Kyo’s crying breaks her heart more than his words and then comes to this scene and she is asking him to not cry (in her head) is so sweet. It really showcases how selfless Tohru is and how all she wants is for Kyo to be happy and to move forward no matter if she is around or not.  I honestly can never get over how sad this scene is and how she tells Kyo it is okay, and all she wants it to reach him, even though she is so hurt. This is why Kyo and Tohru relationship is one of my favourites of all time. They are just so precious.

Tohru’s monologue about how much she loves Kyo is probably my favorite moment in Furuba. Just the fact that she not only recounts the little moments of what she loves about Kyo and how that blossoms into love but also just that bit about moving on. At this point she believes she has been completely rejected by Kyo because she thinks he doesn’t love her. However she doesn’t crumble from this rejection, but instead keeps with her resolve
Tohru’s entire arc has involved her realizing she needs to move on in her life and no longer can stay stuck in the past. It also is about coming to terms about what she really wants in her life, not what was just doing whatever she thinks is fine for others. This monologue is her admitting to herself not only what she wants and the need to move on from her mom in order to love Kyo, but also her not backtracking from what she wants, even if she believes Kyo doesn’t feel the same way.
She’s grown so much and has learned to be so strong without losing the kindness that made her so amazing in the first place

No but the way this episode developed the relationship between Haru and Rin was kinda beautiful ngl. The way he defies Akito for Rin, even though, because of the curse, Akito is literally God to him and it takes a huge toll on him to go against Akito’s wishes, as we see with the visual representation of the bond starting to break a little—hell, he even physically attacks Akito and then straight up leaves.
And then, when he finds Rin in the street after she escaped the hospital, he picks her up from the ground and tells her she’s not a burden to him. This girl that’s been abused all her life, by her parents and by Akito, who, because of her Zodiac status and Akito’s hatred of her, has been literally rejected by God, and who’s grown up lonely and unloved save for Haru, but she can never quite accept that love from him without feeling guilty. And now Haru’s telling her that she’s not a burden to him, that he loves her, and that he will defy God for her if he has to.
Like, their love really goes that hard.
