I know I haven’t been posting here often, there’s been a lot going on (i was studying abroad in Denmark, got quarantined bc of corona, the program got shut down, i had to leave but couldn’t leave immediately bc of said quarantine, finally got back to the US but had to quarantine again, etc etc). But Noah and Jude are just as happy and healthy and destructive as ever! This whole transition has been really difficult but these two chunky bois make everything easier 🥰

Help needed for a queer polyamorous triad

I know I've made quite a few posts over the past few months taking donations and this is yet another one. If you recall, our sink clogged and we ended up spending a good deal of money trying to work around that eating out since we had no way to clean dishes. My husband is the only one of the three of us with a steady job and he's had no work for the past two weeks and won't see another paycheck until the 10th. It was cheaper to drive south for Christmas and have family feed us than it was to stay in the snow and continue to eat rent

Even with Christmas money, we only have 550 while our rent is 825 leaving us 225 short for rent. Then there are bills. The breakdown for this month looks like this

Gas (for heat) - 190

Streaming services - 28

Internet - 50

Phone - 150

Renter's insurance - 20

Car insurance - 93

I also have therapy and meds to pay for but my mother covers those. But the bills are looking to be 528 this month. That's a paycheck which is fine. The only reason I don't have the electricity bill is I paid it last month in advance. We also have to eat

I'm not asking for the whole 750+ in this post. We can cover bills after the 10th. I'm only asking if people can spare enough for us to make rent and get groceries. See, there's a flat late fee of $100 and if we're two or more weeks late, we're just straight up evicted. Three adults and two bunnies cannot and should not be living out of a 2005 Ford Taurus in Indiana in January. I mean we shouldn't anyway but especially not in January

All I'm asking is to reach $300 by the 4th. Rent is due the 5th but banks aren't open on Sundays. 225 helps us make rent and the extra 75 gets us groceries, pays for Netflix, and gets the buns hay which carries us through to the 10th where we can pick back up and be fine again. Bonnie and Cloud's hay is 25 but it's 75 US lbs so it lasts about 6 months give or take. Just we're at the end of this last bale. 50 can definitely feed the three of us as we can buy a big thing of pork and have it with rice and eggs for a week and be fine. We also have plenty of ramen, easy mac, and other lean week staples so we'll be able to buy milk, some mushrooms and onions to throw in the pork bowls, and so on so we're not having to eat just pork and rice

But that's the breakdown. I'm more than happy to screenshot our bills or bank account if anybody needs proof of expenses. Our anniversary is the fifth and my husband's birthday is the 10th but we're going to combine those with Valentine's this year because it's more important to keep a roof over our heads and so on

I do take commissions! I know some people aren't comfy with just donating to some stranger or whatever and would prefer to buy something directly. My art blog is here and my Facebook is here if you'd like to see some of my work. I do digital art, traditional art, and wood burning and my rate is 25/hr before tip. Just PM me about it and I'll even work something out if you don't think you can afford that. Like payment plans and about how long various pieces take me so it sounds like a crazy expensive price but my most popular piece is literally 37.50 - 46.87 depending on how much you'd tip. I charge $50 for the print file because it's so huge, such good quality, and you have access to the original file so you can get it on whatever you want. But to give you an idea of what 25/hr +tip actually looks like. I also take editing and writing commissions if that's more your cup of tea

My PayPal has my deadname so please don't go spreading that around and anybody calling me by it will be blocked. We may need the money but I will not subject myself to transphobia. It's just /smjaygal or [email protected] if you need the whole email. My Ko-Fi is open as well and the goal amount is for what's needed as opposed to counting the total

And, as always, reblogs are appreciated if you can't donate or buy a commission. These posts always get swaths of likes but few reblogs and I'd appreciate if the opposite were the case. Likes get no attention whereas the more reblogs I have, the more likely we are to avoid eviction. My wife and I are very noticeably trans which makes our triad stand out even more. Even without the Indiana winter, homelessness is extremely dangerous for us. So, again, please reblog rather than just hitting like. Our lives literally depend on it

Good: I got a job and I’m starting ASAP which is really exciting

Bad update:

I’m fucked until I can get my next check. Which will be quite a while.

I hate to do this but I’m in a major pickle. As most of you know, I recently moved to a new apartment in a new town and started a new job. I unexpectedly left this job due to an incredibly unsafe working environment. I will either be the 7th or 8th person to quit within the last 2 days (I’ve honestly lost count). This was a really hard decision to make, but I need to keep myself safe. I’ve already applied to 7 different jobs, and I’m in the process of becoming an Uber eats and instacart driver as well. I’m looking to see if anyone would be willing to help to tie me and the rabbits over until I can find a new job. Every penny of anything donated will go directly to food for me and the rabbits, rent, or the electricity bill.
