i was drawing a shit ton last year with all the byoe and nemu comics but my brain has felt almost completely artistically frozen since 2024 started

its insane to feel washed out at 20 but i really fucking do its like i had to be in such a dark place mentally physically and emotionally to hit some of my artistic peaks as a teenager and now that ive gotten a little more of a grip on my shit and a little more organization in my life i cant get myself to feel as fervent as i used to. and thats probably a good thing and a sign of being better socialized or something but for my competitive spirit it really makes me feel absolutely fucking insane. i really dont know if its even possible to hold weight in the top echelon of tech skill for visual art if youre not on social media. i have no idea where other artists in my peer skill level are at anymore or what because i dont use social media. thats what makes me feel washed out specifically when i realize theres been another 3 years of development amongst others actually trying to build off a level of ideas shared. but for me the most power i gained was when i was totally alone in my isolation state. and most of that shit has never made it out of my folders and files and fucking paper stacks into any realm of relativity. sorry this is hard to properly verbalize im just trying to process it or something. i havent drawn in like a month its making me feel crazy
