my most cherished memories of my time here are all the little moments when we were building ideas together / exchanging ideas!

and i know i wouldn't have drawn any art at all if it weren't for my fave silm artist (vieryplus) and my cool mutuals and all the smart people on here who post thoughts that kickstart so many ideas in my head! COMMUNAL CREATIVITY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Feeling grateful for the communal creativity of fandom and transformative works today. I love how collaborative fic writing and fanart is, how we're inspired not just by the source text but by each other. How we build on each other, both consciously and unconsciously. How sharing ideas, being generous with ideas, is foundational to our creativity, in contrast to the individualistic and proprietary attitudes you so often encounter in other creative and intellectual domains.

No, we're not always perfect, and we're not always supportive (we're only human), but in my experience the positive interactions, whether they be conversations or silent currents of inspiration travelling between minds, far outnumber the negative ones.

Been busy hosting late night drawing sessions with friends, hot pot dinner parties, monopoly nights, strolling through my city on cold sunny days, looking at vintage designer furniture for no reason, leaving my headphones at home to listen to the clack-clack-clack sound of my boots, going to work at 5am, seeing sunrise and sunset every day, walking 8km to a random cinema to watch wonka, buying comme des garçons in store, overcoming my social anxiety and realising my potential for hosting, getting a custom pair of blue leather boots made by my 60 y/o friends and coworkers, working at fashion week, accompanying my friends to world premieres, sitting in a press conference with hunter schafer, living my dreams and just having the best time ever :')
