This year has been a learning one for me, but I am so tired of being at jobs that make my mental health get stressed and burned out. I left a job a few months back that i was at for three years because of toxic managers. And now, my new job which I like the company I’ve been with, I’ve had for three months has got me having mental breakdowns every week because of the workload is unrealistic and I’m always behind. I usually try to tough it out, but I’m getting physically sick from the anxiety and dread and I did some bad stuff to myself this weekend. I want a job that doesn’t break my mental health. I’m so tired of crying
Working jobs we don't enjoy can be really exhausting and I do not blame you for feeling this way. You shouldn't blame yourself either. I would say that if you like the company, explore other roles within it. If not, seek out a job that brings you a sense of fulfillment and engages you in work that you genuinely enjoy doing.
Not every business or job that we enjoy is necessarily the right fit for us. It's completely okay to change our minds about the type of work we want to pursue for our career. Getting caught up in hustle culture can be draining and unfulfilling.
Since you mentioned that this is a year of growth for you, take some time to reflect on what truly makes you happy. Explore new opportunities and learn new things. There may be a different path in life that suits you better. Remember, no job is worth sacrificing your well-being and stressing yourself out. You deserve to find work that brings you joy and fulfillment. And the truth is, when you are doing something you love, that truly aligns with you, I promise you won't feel this way.
