I work for Women’s Lunch Place on the Direct Care team, where we build trusting relationships with women experiencing homelessness and poverty. We are the first to welcome new women into our community.

We meet them where they are, treat them with dignity and respect, and learn what we can without being pushy or requiring any information. We also gently introduce them to other programming at Women’s Lunch Place, like addiction recovery classes, mental and physical healthcare in our clinic, legal services, housing search and stabilization, and benefits applications.

I’ve found my footing at Women’s Lunch Place by befriending some of our most challenging and impaired guests. I enjoy having the tough conversations and it’s so rewarding when I can break through using patience, compassion, and empathy. I am confident in these moments when I’m creating new relationships. I know that by showing up consistently, with integrity and a non-judgmental approach, our team can provide life-changing support for the women we serve.

 When I’m not working, I’m exercising, doing yoga, and dog sitting. I worked with dogs before coming to Women’s Lunch Place, as a handler providing training and socialization. I’m an experienced mid-distance runner, but I’ve never run a marathon. I’m feeling confident and excited to have begun the training process. I’m running in 2024 in honor of the guests of Women’s Lunch Place, and to prove to myself that I can complete this intense challenge. Thank you for supporting our mission!

I don’t know if you got this so I’m sending it again. I scrolled through your account to try and find anything about the sister space weekend in Maryland. I plan on going this year and am wondering if you or anyone on here has gone and what their experience was like?

I haven't been but I would definitely encourage you to go. It's closer to me so maybe it will be an option. I'd love to hear a firsthand account.

Two black queer women seeking funds and reparations. They are being evicted from their apartment after the landlord REFUSED to accept the Temporary Financial Assistance from the City of Philadelphia’s Eviction Diversion Program, despite the tenants qualifying for the funds. The landlord forced them into a “graceful exit”. Due to the expedited process of things, they are in need of funds to help with moving costs, bills, etc.

Claiming that defining women as "adult human female" is "reducing women down to genitals/reproductive organs" is just a way to try to flip the, "Stop sexually objectifying women" on feminists.

Sexual objectification is not seeing women as anything other than a reproductive resource or something to fuck.

But saying "all women are female" is not saying "Women are only vaginas and reproductive organs". Femaleness is not inherently "just something to fuck", and saying "all women are female" is not saying that we aren't also human with thoughts and feelings.

Western radfems will read articles about South Korea’s 6B4T movement (no sex, child rearing, dating, or marrying with men, no buying sexist products, supporting fellow movement members, & rejecting beauty standards) and cheer wildly in support, saying things like “Korean radfems pull no punches, so amazing! We should be more like them!”

but then when women here suggest we get serious in the exact same way, it’s “what? That’s too extreme! No one can be expected to live that way. Why do you HATE heterosexual women?”

Ah, so he has been lazy, has let her alone with the kids, and only thought about himself. How are you going to tell that's not a man?
