I’ve been there before. Asking myself questions like 😕Who are you girl? 🙃What were you created to do? 🤓What are you about? 🤪What is your true worth? 👩🏾‍💻I’ve Google topics related to this in order to discover the “answer.” What I discover is that Google can teach a lot of things but it can’t teach you…YOU! ❓So what can?? 🧐❓ 💡For me it was the Bible! Yes Kinks, the good word of God. I have learned so much about myself from the one who created me. For example this scripture tells believers straight up about our identity: 📖 Acts 17:28-30 “It is through him that we live and function and have our IDENTITY; just as your own poets have said,[a] ‘Our lineage comes FROM HIM.” 🤯🤯🤯🤯 the answer is right there. So to get deeper into knowing your identity, you have to get to know God. Right? I find having a positive outlook in life is peaceful as oppose to the other. 🤎 You can surround yourself with positive people that build you up when having a bad day OR a negative Nancy who can make your day worse and label it as “I’m just being realistic” I wonder why people who are negative always say “I’m just being realistic….I’m just being real.” 🙄 To me it’s not “realistic” to think of everything from a negative mindset. ✋🏾😕 Anyways I decided for myself a long time ago to make optimism my lifestyle. 🗣Doesn’t it feel like unlearning is harder than learning? 💡For me I struggle with the need to validate the wrong I always thought was right. However, to grow I have to let that attachment go. 🤎@themariaantoinette made a post last week that said “we are like sponges- we can let in as well as let out” It spoke to me in my season of unlearning. Letting in what feeds me and letting out what doesn’t. Letting out the lies and letting in what has been proven to be true by the word of God. I believe God is: …polishing me daily into who I am suppose to be …planting seeds that will harvest fruits on my journey …and cutting away the weeds that is choking my journey 👂🏾Unlearning takes discipline. I would feel worthless and invisible. For me it was God who started to show me how he sees me. Everything changed. My heart posture changed. Boundaries were placed and I stopped allowing it to be crossed. I learned it’s ok to walk away from a person and love them from afar. I’ve learned it’s ok to walk away from a situation and step into a better one. Doing so doesn’t make me disloyal. It shows I’m woke and wise!
