As per tradition: Submas dragon designs !

Say hi to Wyrmgo and Dergmet. I know it’s kinda dumb names, but since I like the ring of it, it kinda stuck ^^’

So yeah, finally got them done. Surprisingly, finding a fitting and harmonious color schemes for them was the hardest part, especially since I wanted to add some color accents to their black and white schemes.

The colors are not perfect, but I’m still proud of it, especially their overall design and shapes. I hope you like them as well!

Question about the reverse Transfer Error AU: How did Emmet react upon realizing he was a Pokemon? And on that note, how easy is it for him to, well, live as an Archeops? There any issues with moving, flying, using moves, etc.?

Second, you will find the answers below the cut, you got me rambling with your ask so this got a bit long. Brace for some reverse transfer Error AU Lore ^^’

Well, it came as a surprise, that’s for sure. That wasn’t really he had planned.

Emmet came to Hisui to find Ingo (obviously), and, while passing through a time/space distortion of Giratina’s own making was planned, this particular result was not. Last he remembers he was coming to find his brother, but something went wrong with the distortion he was using, not that he can really remember what exactly happened,except for some panic, then pain, disorientation and then only darkness, as he fainted. (I’m using Pokemon Mystery Dungeon :  Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky logic here, when a time distortion is perturbed, it can cause someone to transform into a Pokemon, but at some point I hesitated going for a Bill situation).

As you can guess, his initial reaction on waking up wasn’t that great.

You can imagine his surprise/panic, waking up entangled in his own coat and clothes, having no bearings as to where and when he is. I imagine it a bit like, when you fall asleep in a weird position with your feet and arms stuck or something, and you wake up in total darkness only to feel entirely trapped? Or kinda like sleep paralysis? Let me tell you both are not fun initially, even if you’re super rational about it.

So yeah, he panics a bit because he can’t move and can’t see anything, and clearly he is not being rational about it, everything is a bit too much right now.

Anyway, that’s how his coat get ripped initially, Archeops’ claws can do some damage.

Once he finally freed himself, well that’s when he REALLY noticed his predicament. But well, once the initial disbelief, dread and overthinking passed, I can see him just trying to roll with it. His mind is intact, he has an important mission for now, it will be a bit harder in this new form admittedly, but who would he be if he turned down a challenge? No time to dwell too much on it, better start searching for Ingo and think about his condition on the move/ later.

And on that note, how easy is it for him to, well, live as an Archeops? There any issues with moving, flying, using moves, etc.?

Well, Archeops’ morphology aren’t thaaaat different from humans? Like two arms, two legs, the neck is a bit long, the tail is new and his center of gravity is a mystery to him at first, but better hearing and vision is fun though, even if a bit disorienting at first. As for his weight and height, well He is an Alpha Archeops, so actually there is no real difference? Maybe abit lighter than he was before.

He would get the hang of running and jumping quite fast. But for some other things, it wasn’t quite that easy. He might have lived long enough with his own Archeops to mostly know how they function, but doing it yourself is something else entirely.

Archeops aren’t in general very good flyers, and as you imagine, since Emmet wasn’t born an Archen, he is even worse at it. And for a verrry long while. His first flight was unintentional, and was more like tumbling down the side of a cliff while running away from a pack of angry pokemons. As a side note, he bruised a wing and leg while trying to break his fall (it worked, just not enough to completely stop him from colliding multiple times with the ground in his descent)

Let’s just say it’s gonna be a while before he tries to climb The Coronet Highlands again, he will have to heal and learn to at least hover before risking it again up there. (it’s a shame that’s where his brother spend most of his time for a while, not that he knows that)

Using moves wasn’t great either for a while, he wasn’t born a Pokemon, so using moves got to be confusing. His first attack was Struggle, since well, he doesn’t really have any moves learned.

Despite being new as an Archeops, he is not new to battling, so he’s got quite the highlevel (and as a result, the resistance) He get the hang of there simple moves first (normal and flying types physical moves) and then with time (and a bit of training) more complex and powerful ones.

Another issue would be to not be able to talk, well for him personally, it’s not really a problem, as I don’t see him being the type to talk excessively and for nothing and actually be great with non verbal communication. But when it comes to getting help and communicating with people (who are at best uncomfortable with Pokemon they don’t know), well it can only go so far. After most attempts failed, he won’t be trying again.

Final point, Archeops’ defeatist ability is a pain in the ass, and not just in battle. (Not really spoilers, just a figure of speech: Emmet will have difficult moments during his journey, and while his ability doesn't help, one of his biggest issue might just be his own mind).

Emmet can’t really stay mad at him. Especially since they just reunited.

Meanwhile Ingo has no freaking idea what heck is going on with this weird Pokemon, but he feel like he messed up and is trying to make it up.

Emmet is eating that berry like that half on purpose just to weird out his brother aaand also he kinda forgot sitrus berries were a bit dry and hard.

Submas transfer error AU, but like, reversed? kinda. Emmet as an Archeops wouldn’t leave my mind until i drew this. Also, some Sneasel Emmet doodle, he is not really happy that Ingo forgot him.

Emmet gets to terrorize the entirety of Hisui as a weird birb as a treat while searching for Ingo. He can run around reaaaally fast + no fall damage if he flaps those wings once or twice, he would be a real menace.
