HI, I'm Robert, I'm 27 and live in amsterdam. this blog is dedicated to my own nature photography, most of which I do during my backcountry hiking trips in the summer.
note: any follows/reblogs/likes will be through my main "curating blog" robert-broos
Super wierd but you seem Iike someone that's really grounded do you have any tips on how I can connect and stay grounded to mother Gaia.
well not to be that asshole, but my approach has always been to ditch vague labels like mother gaia and just do the grunt work instead.
with which I mean going out and enjoying nature, mostly by hiking or trailrunning. by always packing any litter I make back out to a trashcan and picking up at least one more piece of litter, so I leave the nature a bit better than I found it. and more importantly by buying quality gear, which may be more expensive on the short term, but will last way longer.
ofcourse one transatlantic flight will completely negate any of that in terms of CO2 emissions, but there is not really a viable alternative to flying for intercontinental travel. within europe I prefer to take the train instead of flying. but that is also because the high speed trains in europe are just way more comfortable than a plane will ever be. plus, no one can lose my luggage ;).
