It's hard to express how much I love the idea of Nancy Wheeler crawling out of (and into?) Jonathan's bedroom window. She's a stealthy, barefoot, teenage love ninja, and this isn't the 'walk of shame'. This is True Love's Scurry.

Also, Nancy sleeps on the 'protector' side of the bed (the door side). I love that, too. I love that Joyce is handling breakfast while Jonathan oversleeps, and I love that the lipstick on her son's cheek & the girl (shhhh!) scurrying around her back porch makes her happy. I love the uptempo song that's playing: "Open The Door" by Gentlemen Afterdark. I just love all of this so, so much.

See, that’s a voicemail I would keep forever.  Although, when I think about it, I bet it’s nothing out of the ordinary for Mr Reeder.

We know Malcolm’s idea of a fucking holiday is lying on his back being fed nutrients through a tube, so can it be any surprise that he’s a big fan of Life on Mars? (And you know he fancies himself the Gene Hunt of Whitehall.)

Also, no wonder Nicola tends to interpret everything Malcolm tells her as “I’m about to stab you” as per the the deleted scene I consider canon.  Not when his 306 brain seems even fuller than normal with extremely stabby thoughts that I’m sure have nothing to do with the return of Steve Fleming.
