Oh fun story time: I've had that design for the moon for around a year now, and when I showed it to my friend, they were like "oh its pretty, but they look more like an ocean goddess than a moon goddess" and when I brought up it was intentional because I wanted to highlight that the moon controls the tides and that's why I incorporated the ocean into her design, they said "yeah, but it just. You know. Looks like an ocean goddess. Maybe if they were sitting on the moon it would be more clear" to which I responded "how- that- she *is* the moon. How is she going to sit on the moon? *She is the moon.* She wouldn't be the moon if she were sitting *on* the moon."

Anyway, so when I rant about that story to other people, their response is "oh I can kinda see how it'd look like an ocean goddess" THATS. THE. POINT. 😭😭😭😭😭😭 makes me want to rip out my esophagus and shove it up their nostrils so my thoughts might hit their brain. ugh.

To me, the biggest difference between comic Wallace and Anime Wallace is that Comic Wallace is like a normal guy who (imo) is very obviously still just a 25 year old making stupid decisions and working in shitty jobs and barely getting by, and he just looks more competent when standing next to massive boy-failure Scott (and because hes sassy and carefree). and Anime Wallace is beloved by the universe, so he just gets an acting job for being Wallace, with 5 stunt doubles (that he bargained for with a lawyer Comic Wallace probably could never afford. Seriously, where did he get that money??? Did he seduce a lawyer???????) and a millionaire husband, and lives in a millionaire mansion where he drinks all day and never has to work again. And like good for him, I guess? Slay.

I'm going through my old posts and finding out how incomprehensible I am on a daily basis.

I was referencing how *fanfiction AUs* at the time had Martin in every job imaginable while Jon was almost always an archivist, teacher, or a pure eldritch horror. But this makes it look like the fandom was just having regular ol' canon Martin in 200 jobs at once---

No one can tell me otherwise, it’s honestly beautiful how the fandom saw Martin and decided “ah, yes. This man will have experience in EVERY area of work” while Jon is strictly academic.

Martin? Oh yeah he’s an amazing chief, nurse, chiropractor, researcher, teacher, engineer, artist, therapist, house designer, librarian, writer, paranormal investigator, computer scientist, biologist, fake date, mathematician, counselor, fitness trainer, bus driver, and more

Jon? Eh, he can be an archivist, a teacher, and an unemployed monster

I honestly am so into Scollace all of a sudden it's wild

What got you first into the ship? I guess it is kind of natural to ship the canonically gay character with the guy who he sleeps next to every night but still fun to think about how this ship came to be

Um. No one take this the wrong way but I first got into the ship ironically 😅😅😅 I watched the anime and was mildly hyperfixating, so I went on AO3 for more content only to find that a popular ship was Scollace. And read a couple fics with detached, ironic amusement. Like “a fandom would ship these two, wouldn’t they?”

Then I think I saw the fic where Wallace gets with Todd just so he can “get” with his roommate he’d been pining over and also by then it was confirmed that Wallace was into Scott and I started thinking about their dynamic a bit.

Then I read the comics- and yeah, no, I couldn’t understand how anyone didn’t see the Scollace truck from a mile away- and one sided Scollace was a very obvious choice for a lot of people at the beginning, but from the way they’d go on dates together and how they’re very inseparable, I went with the both into each other approach lol. (There at some point was a uproar of Scollace creators getting tired of seeing the same “Wallace pines for Scott but he’s with Ramona” stuff-which that idea holds merit, don’t get me wrong, but it’s a very common ship dynamic already-and people moved to have Scott pine for Wallace. Personally I think there’s a very interesting story in the idea that they both like each other but Scott’s too repressed to act on it and Wallace cares too genuinely for him to push him so they live in limbo.)

I also just thought Wallace was too into Scott specifically for them to *not* have had something happen in college, and I created my own little timeline and tried to put as much of it out as I could (I technically have 2 timelines: the Based-On-Canon timeline and the Wishfulfilment timeline because my Based-On-Canon timeline has everything go terribly wrong and sometimes I just wanna draw them together on dates and shit. …and I guess now I also have my Apocalypse-AU??? Idk man 😭 my brain holds so much of these little guys in there)

TLDR: yeah, guys sleeping in the same bed.
