I’ve been wanting to draw Subaki recently, especially since he’s my phone background at the moment. I really love the sketch of Subaki and his Pegasus that Yusuke Kozaki, the character designer and artist for Fire Emblem: Fates, posted to his Twitter account years ago go. I based Subaki’s outfit off of that sketch.

Lately I go into a game expecting one character to be my favorite, and it ends up being a different character entirely. For Pokémon Legends: Arceus, I went in focused on Volo, especially since he’s Cynthia’s ancestor. While I really do like Volo, Adaman absolutely has my heart; so much so, that it made me like Leafeon even more.

The drawing of Espurr biting a tasty looking Skrelp is done! It was difficult to give Skrelp much of an expression, and the red angry mark by it’s head helped convey it’s anger and inconvenience.

It was pointed out to me that Skrelp is a Poison Type, so you can expect a follow up drawing regarding that!

I was so excited when I first found out that there is a Galahad Alter in Fate canon. I really like that he is quite the opposite of his original self, while still retaining his knightly characteristics.

The background is based on the cover of Fate/Requiem Volume 2: Shinjuku the Nostalgic City.

Our cats have been getting some wet food as a little treat again recently, and their favorites from the pack are the sea food ones. My cat especially loves the shrimp one, and I’ve seen her chomp down so many tiny little shrimps. Combining that with all the Pokémon I’ve been playing recently, gave me the idea for an Espurr biting a Skrelp.

I was working on finishing my Xander badge, since he was the last of my older badges, but I smudged the drawing right before it was finished. I do intend to draw a new Xander, but I’m still mad about messing up the first one, so I wanted to make a few new ones before redoing him. I’ve had Dark Magician and Dark Magician Girl on the To Do list for a little while, so I sketched them out!

I picked Rowlet as my starter Pokemon in Legends Arceus, and I’m so glad I did! The whole line is so cute (though I have such a soft spot for Dartrix) and they helped me deal with all those Paris at the start.

I was pretty hesitant to give Espeon a bright green background, but I stuck with it since Umbreon’s background is blue to correspond with shiny Umbreon. I really like how the green background turned out! I think the pink I used for Espeon helped the green to not be as bright.
