Hi, everyone!

In a month ACOSF will be out, so I think that we should all agree to use like big spoiler alerts or special tags in our posts if we want to talk about events in the book, because someone will still be reading the book or hasn't even started yet and we don't want to spoil it.

I think this is quite obvious, but I still felt the need to say it and remind everyone, so please spread the word and let's hope that everyone will see it😁✌️

Nessian Appreciation Week - Day 4: Most Underrated Scene

“Dresses aren’t good for flying, ladies.”

Nesta didn’t reply.

He lifted a brow.  “No barking and biting today?”

But Nesta didn’t rise to meet him, her face still drained and sallow.  “I’ve never worn pants,” was all she said,

I could have sworn concern flashed across Cassian’s features.  But he brushed it aside and drawled, “I have no doubt you’d start a riot if you did.”

No reaction.  Had the Cauldron–

Cassian stepped in Nesta’s path when she tried to walk past him.  Put a tan, callused hand on her forehead.  She shook off the touch, but he gripped her wrist, forcing her to meet his stare.  “Any one of those human pricks makes a move to hurt you,” he breathed, “and you kill them.”

I mean come on, do I even have to explain myself?  First he’s concerned because she seems totally shell shocked from the previous scene and has never worn pants before.  Next he tries to pull a typical Cassian move to piss her off in a way that only he does best (probably to get any kind of rise/ emotion to come out).  I also think him putting a hand to her forehead was also just a lame ass excuse to touch her if I’m being honest, lol–and that begs the question of how many other times have the two been in that kind of a position where subtle touches were exchanged between the two???? I’m sure quite a few more..

And finally, that last part.  Another touch but this one more intentional.  The focus and the unspoken warning in his words. ‘Be careful.  I don’t want anything to happen to you. I CAN’T have anything happen to you.’

GAHHHHHHHHH. 27 days. 27 days. 27 days. We can do this.

Nessian Appreciation Week - Day Four: most underrated scene

Cassian said to her, “Nothing can harm you here.” He sucked in a breath, groaning softly, and rose to his feet. Azriel tried to stop him, but Cassian brushed him off and strode for my sister’s side. He braced a hand on the desk when he at last stopped. “Nothing can harm you,” he repeated.

Nesta was still looking at him when she finally shut her eyes. I shifted, and the angle allowed me to see what I hadn’t detected before.

Nesta stood before the map, a fist of bones and stones clenched over it. Cassian remained at her side—his other hand on her lower back.

This moment is so intense. First because she was there because of Cassian - he was hurt and she wanted to help. Second because she was scared, but then Cassian came closer, said she was safe there (with him), he touched her lower back and… she just accepted it and closed her eyes. She trusted him completely to do something that was about to get her close to the King, who made her suffer so much.

And again, all this happened in front of everyone. They didn’t care about others seeing this moment – it was like there’s just the two of them in the room.
