You know the iconic scene where Elain is standing in the stairs and Lucien is expecting her to make a move towards him or say something until he realizes she’s not ready and he bows his head hiding his pain and turns around to leave, only for her to actually make that half step when he has already lost hope and doesn’t see it, I often think if this is foreshadowing of what their dynamic will be like in their book.
